Barleywoods Waste Management (HX: BLY) was established in 2013 with the purpose of providing a professional and dependable cleaning service in Hundredstar. Since our humble inception two years ago with a couple of dedicated and enterprising individuals; we have grown into a major share holding company with a multinational workforce exceeding 7000 and equipped with over 1500 specialist machinery to support our business. We are subsidiary of Hundrestar International.

Being one of the largest concession holders of Hundredstar’s national solid waste management and public cleansing privatization project, Barleywoods Waste Management provides comprehensive waste management services to several concession areas in certain regions of Hundredstar, the Bledllyn capitol city, and others city in Hundredstar.

Annually, Barleywoods Waste Management amasses an average of 1.01 million tonnes of waste. A substantial percentage of this waste originates from public cleansing where covered and open drains, beaches, highways, main roads, side and back lanes are manually and mechanically cleansed. While solid waste management is the primary business driver, Barleywoods Waste Management takes on a holistic approach to waste management by constantly striving to enrich the communities and the environment by increasing the quality of life.

Barleywoods Waste Management understands the welfare of the environment is vital to our communities’ well being and health. Barleywoods Waste Management actively pursues projects and initiatives that benefit the waste industry, the communities and the ecosystem.

In 23 December 2015, Kauvers International Holdings acquired 49% of Barleywoods for the capital of NS$5.5 billion. This came in conjunction with a recent contract between Barleywoods and Nexus to cover all the waste management needs of Legion internationally.

1. MUNICIPAL WASTE MANAGEMENT
   City Cleaning for Bledllyn Municipality have been our forte since inception in 2013. Our professional team and the ‘state of the art’ fleet of sophisticated machineries make us the market leaders in the chosen business. We operate a modern fleet of reputed brands to comply with contractual obligations. Our refuse compactors and mechanical sweepers are supported by load carriers and loading machineries for handling heavier or over size waste materials.
   
   Large number of refuse compactors, Towed and Self Propelled Street Sweepers, Cranes, Bull Dozers, Front End Loaders, Motor Graders, Trucks and Trailers of various capacities add to our strength and edge us ahead of competitors.
   
   Since 1982 (when it known as City Board Works Dept.), till now Barleywoods Waste Management is continuously engaged with the Municipality of Bledllyn for City Cleaning. During this term, Barleywoods Waste Management was also handling the waste dumping landfills in different part of Bledllyn. Continuously working with the Bledllyn Municipality for city cleaning and averaging a 50% level of the cleaning contracts.

2. SOLID AND LIQUID REFUSE REMOVAL AND CLEANING
   One of the leading Sewerage and Liquid Refuse Removers in Hundredstar with a large number of skilled technical personnel trained to tackle every drainage and sanitary problem in the residential and industrial network. Our operations are supported by a fleet of water tankers and vacuum tankers which speedily remove the sewerage waste. Fat leftover removal is also a specialization.
   
   We undertake clearing of building debris, removal of house wreckages and leftovers. To meet the client needs we provide custom built containers and bins.

3. PEST CONTROL
   Barleywoods Waste Management ’s Pest Control division is one of the largest pest control companies in Hundredstar offering a complete range of pest control services from general pest control for common pests like cockroaches, flies, fleas, bed-bugs and mosquitoes to building protection against termites. The division also specialize in Integrated Pest Management.
   
   Our Pest Control Services includes:
   

   • General pest control for crawling and flying insects
   • Rodent Control for domestic & Industrial sector
   • Pre & Post Construction termite Control
   • Timber treatment
   • Food processing plant fumigation
   • Warehouse disinfestation
   • Agricultural pest control

4. TOTAL PETROLEUM SLUDGE MANAGEMENT
   The top layer of oil pits usually contains fine sands & debris, this layer is skimmed out and sent to the sludge recovery plant. The plant treats & separates the sediments from oil. Weathered oil requires a great deal of processing & preheating before actual separation is achieved. The Sludge Plant is fixed on a skid system to make it portable. It takes three 20ft containers to move the system from one site to another.
   
   Barleywoods Waste Management has carefully evaluated & screened separation technologies for its project at numerous oil pits. We offer complete solution where the weathered oil is heated up to just above 70º C & the debris & fine stones are sieved out. The screened oil is sent back to a heat exchanger to control the temperature at 70º C before entering the separation phase.

5. INDUSTRIAL WASTE-WATER TREATMENT
   Waste-water is industries most challenging issue. Barleywoods Waste Management offers customized solutions and services to help industries achieve fluid management goals and meeting discharge effluents limits. Over the years, the company has gained reliable experience with many types of waste-water and offers the client high-performance treatment systems for a wide range of waste-water types and industries.
   
   Our services include Waste-water characterization and treatability, plant design, equipment's and systems supply, installation, startup, careful monitoring of treatment process and after sale services and technical support through highly qualified engineering staff and technicians.

6. HAZARDOUS WASTE LANDFILL CONSTRUCTION & OPERATION
   Barleywoods Waste Management is specialized in the construction of hazardous waste landfills. The landfills in Hundredstar is insulated with 2.5mm thick HDPE & provided with a complete leachate collection& pumping system. The landfill has 4 ground water monitoring wells for early leak detection .
   
   The leachate waste water is pumped up to an evaporation pond for further treatment .The leachate network is provided with seven long /perforated pipes for the collection of leachate and its sloped by gravity to a collection septic tank. The capacity of landfill is 125.000 cubic meters. only solid hazardous waste is disposed in the landfill .Ground water is monitored for early leak detection. all the disposed waste is tracked by an XYZ location for company /waste owner

   We operate in a wide range extending from ordinary residential cleaning to complicated office, airports and industrial challenges at very competitive rates. Greetings. I am Charlie Hagen, Chief Logistics Officer of the Legion Corporation. I am writing to you today regarding the corporation's immense interest in your company. For a very long time, Legion has been looking for a waste disposal company, and actually did consider it as one of the opportunities for Legion to venture into ourselves. However, it had not come to fruition due to lack of market desire and our own allocation of resources.

We are extremely interested in the operations of Barleywoods and would actually like to propose an extremely close partnership between Nexus and Barleywoods. Nexus Group International is an internal company within the Legion Corporation that you may not normally see. We operate to serve the logistical, technological and security needs of our main conglomerate in their operations worldwide. The success that is seen today cannot have been done without such strategic planning and support.

Legion proposes to give Barleywoods a sole contract for waste management across ALL subsidiaries internationally, which we believe will greatly expand your operations tremendously. We will pay your operations as required and fulfil all terms and conditions of service. Specific details will be mentioned in the applications attached below.

In return, the Legion Corporation hopes to see little to no risks and long term security in your company, therefore putting out a bid to purchase 49% of your company. As a Nexus contractor, we need to ensure that our operations will not be put in any risks, as there might be some wastage which are considered confidential and extremely detrimental to our global enterprise. We will be offering NS$5.5 billion dollars in cash in exchange for the acquisition. The Legion Corporation will not shortchange our closest allies and contractors as business is built upon trust and relationship. Should you be open to this acquisition, we will be represented by Mr Vince Broderick, Executive Chairman of Legion Hypermarkets. Please do mark acquisition under the ownership of Kauvers International Holdings as well.

We must confess that our proposal may come as a shock to you, due to the magnitude of the situation, that may be unexpected for a company that is new like Barleywoods, and we can understand if you would not like to receive this contract. We will not force it upon you should you deem this not aligned with your corporate direction. If that is the case, we unfortunately cannot tender this contract to your company and will retract the following attachments.
