Gallup international did a poll a few years ago in which 7% of Muslims were found to be extremists, or about 116 million. That is the best info we have.

That verse is in the qu'ran. Which Muslims follow, and is bad.
And most Muslims do not follow word for word, just like many Jews and Christians with their respective texts, unless you know alot of Christians that took their disobedient children to be stoned by the town gates recently. What is your point exactly?

Because if they don't follow the qu'ran, they're not Muslims. You need to follow it to be Muslim, or, according to the quran, you're a hypocrite. According to sane people, such as ourselves, it's being a good person.

And most Muslims don't follow the Qu'ran word for word. Which means that the ones who don't probably will disregard the bit about needing to follow it exactly to be a true Muslim.
