GAA TV
Your GAA news every day.

James Sheridan: Welcome to GAA TV. I'm James Sheridan, and this is David Malone.
David Malone: Hello everyone. Today we're going to review Oisinistan's chances in the Gaelic Football World Championships.
J.S: That's right, and first we will look at Oisinistan's opponents in their group. Now as you all know, Oisinistan have been placed in Group 2 for this tournament. Here is the group.
Group 2:
Oisinistan
Depsadaslkkf
Tomure
Noksentin
Consumar
Banija
Frenline Delpha

D.M: Well, the only teams from this group that anyone knows anything about at the moment are Noksentin and, wait, they're the only ones.
J.S: Now, let's look at the fixtures, seeing as we only have info on Noksentin.
D.M: Yes, Oisinistan's first match is against Depsadaslkkf. How anyone pronounces that I do truly wonder.
J.S: Match two is against Tomure.
D.M: Match three is against Noksentin.
J.S: Match four is against Consumar.
D.M: Match five is against Banija.
J.S: And match six is against Frenline Delpha.
D.M: Who do you rate as the biggest threats to Oisinistan in their group, James?
J.S: I would definitely consider Frenline Delpha a major threat.
D.M: Noksentin would be my pick to be honest with you
J.S: If we progress to the next round, which teams would you think we would be matched against?
D.M: We're lucky because we aren't in the other group. Ethane the hosts, Kaboomlandia, Silvacometopia and United Vietussia; all in one group?
That's definitely the tournament's group of death.
J.S: I must say I agree with you, apart from the Silvacometopia part. They aren't that much of a major threat. So now, let's give our opinion on how each team will do.
PREDICTIONS:
James Sheridan:
Group 1:
1. Ethane
2. Kaboomlandia
3. United Vietussia
4. Camelone
5. The Chapellian
6. Silvacometopia
7. Valbona
GROUP 2:
1. Oisinistan
2. Frenline Delpha
3. Noksentin
4. Consumar
5. Banija
6. Depsadaslkkf
7. Tomure

SEMI FINALS:
Oisinistan to beat Kaboomlandia
Frenline Delpha to beat Ethane

FINAL:
Frenline Delpha to beat Oisinistan

DAVID MALONE:

GROUP 1:
1. Kaboomlandia
2. Ethane
3. Silvacometopia
4. United Vietussia
5. The Chapellian
6. Camelone
7. Valbona

GROUP 2:

1. Frenline Delpha
2. Oisinistan
3. Noksentin
4. Depsafaslkkf
5. Consumar
6. Banija
7. Tomure

SEMI FINALS:
Oisinistan to beat Kaboomlandia
Ethane to beat Frenline Delpha

FINAL:
Ethane to beat Oisinistan

J.S: Well, it looks like neither of us believe in Tomure!
D.M: We both agree Oisinistan will make it to the final, then lose.
J.S: Well that's all for now. We'll check in with you again soon!

A Gaelic Dream
A Sports Article
By Jake Billinger

Well, it is time for another sports competition. Ethane, once a small, pathetic country in the world of sports, is starting to rise in prominence, becoming greater and greater. Consistently doing very well in most of its first tournaments, especially the IBS X, where they surprised everyone, by proceeding most of the way through the tournament, with an amateur team. With great successes in the Rugby Union World Cup, and most recently, a large medal tally in the Summer Olympic Games, the country will be looking to continue their successes in sports, and make history, by finally winning a tournament. This was the dream.

Ethane was not only participating in this sports competition though, they were hosting it. With a range of sports stadiums around the country converted into Gaelic football pitches, loads of money has been spent on this tournament. The main focus of this tournament is to show that Ethane is competent on hosting sports tournaments, which will provide Ethane with many opportunities to host sports competitions in the future. Fans will be provided with luxurious hotels to stay in, which will deliver the best service they possibly can, as well as the public transport being free to anyone who holds a ticket to their name. With this being the first tournament, the government is keen to establish itself as a potential future sports host for the larger international tournaments, through gaining valuable experience.

The dream is real. Gaelic Football is ignited in Ethane. The hopefuls are in the team, warming up for their first match against Valbona. The team is desiring to win. They will fight for anything, do anything to win a sports competition for Ethane. They are determined to make it in the history books.

Most of the nation is behind them. Tickets for the final are already sold out, in anticipation for the great match that will ensue there, whoever may be playing it. The stadiums are all expected to be full for most of the matches, with the supportive Ethane fans rallying behind their team. They will be pushing the team, driving and hoping they win, they will not give up. No one can stop them in their own eyes.

No one is saying that it will be easy. Some people are saying it is impossible. Some people think that Ethane has no chance. But the home team wants to prove all those doubters wrong, to show them that no matter what they think, they will not be right, and the team that represents them will win this tournament, and bring a trophy home for the nation.

So with the first match fast approaching, it is time for me to bid you farewell, as I am off to watch this match. I personally will be supporting Ethane all the way, and will be cheering them on. You can expect me to tell you all about the match tomorrow. I wish the team the best of luck tonight. Enjoy the tournament.

I wish the best of luck to our national team. They are the most inspirational admiral people, and are great role models, who prove a great example for the younger generations. I hope that they do find success in this tournament, and they go on to win, really driving sporting initiatives and sporting involvement in this nation.+564

UV-7 NEWS, HANKOW, UNITED VIETUSSIA 10 PM NEWS

As 50 million Vietussians flocked to their TVs with no school or work, United Vietussia claims the largest win of matchday 1, crushing the Chappellian 25-5. It was a momentous occasion for all of the country, as people sprang from their chairs and couches to go and celebrate with their closes neighbors, good friends, or even new strangers. Vietussia is now 1-0 heading into MD2 when they will play 0-1 Silvacometopia for the right to remain undefeated.

"I thoroughly enjoyed seeing these young men's hard work pay off." said coach Xavier Nogueras. "A 25-5 win for the largest in the tournament so far is a nice accomplishment."

Our commentators are reviewing the game and compiling a play-by-play. It will be released for the midday news. But for now, sit back, and enjoy Vietussia's thrilling 25-5 win. Schools have let out for Christmas Break, so an estimated 20 million Vietussians will tune in tomorrow for matchday 2.

But until then, enjoy your night. Back to Gary Herad with the weather.

VSN-8 SPORTS, OIGRAD, UNITED VIETUSSIA

Welcome to this exciting match between United Vietussia and The Chappellian. It is sure to be an interesting match. As of today's closing line, United Vietussia is favored at -18. Certainly some great news heading in today. As we get underway, anthems are played, captains shake hands, and with a boot of the ball, it's game on.

United Vietussia starts with the ball, out to RCB Cooper, who bounces once, and it's off to CB O'Sullivan, who lobs the ball to midfield, Bastick receives. Long pass to Rock, a shot, OVER THE CROSSBAR! 1 point!

United Vietussia 0-1 The Chappellian 0-0

Quick kickoff by The Chappellian, but...OH BAD PASS! Stolen by Brogan! Another shot, ooooh, over the crossbar. The referee raises the white flag, signaling 1 point.

United Vietussia 0-2 The Chappellian 0-0

Kickoff to Chappellian, up to the midfield, long pass to the last half, shot...yikes, over the crossbar. White flag signals a point.

United Vietussia 0-3 The Chappellian 0-1

Vietussia with a shotgun start, quickly up to Centre Connolly, long shot...over the crossbar! An amazing shot here in the 14th minute!

United Vietussia 0-4 The Chappellian 0-1

A couple of substitutions for both sides here in the 16th minute before the kickoff...O'Carroll is off for Savage, McMahon off for Brogan...

And we're back underway here in the 18th minute. The referee throws the ball up, and...QUICK STEAL BY VIETUSSIA! They get it up to Andrews, shot, 1 POINT!

United Vietussia 0-5 The Chappellian 0-1

GAA TV

Purveyors of high quality TV

*'Oisinistan 0-14 Derpsadaslkkf 0-10' flashes up on screen

J.S: Welcome back to GAA TV with myself, James Sheridan, and the lovely David Malone.
D.M: Thank you indeed, James. Now, moving on to the result. A goalless game, but a good first match for Oisinistan.
J.S: Yep. Our scorers today were Luke Dunne (4 points), Ryan O'Rathilly (3 points), Cian Lynch and John McDonagh (2 apiece), and Shane O'Neill, Aaron O'Connor and Dylan McCarthy with 1 each.
D.M: My man of the match, though as a Crossabeg man I hate to say it, was Oylegate-Glenbrien's Luke Dunne. He played an absolute blinder, and had Derpasdkllf the Unpronounceable's team chasing their own tails.
J.S: Yep. My club's representative, Sean Kelly, had a mediocre game before being substituted by Patrick Daly in the 53rd minute. He wasn't very focused, and cost us 2 points.
D.M: But I must say, Mick Walsh had a fantastic game. He made some crucial interceptions, and it was his pass that got Sarsfield's Shane O'Neill a point for us.
J.S: Yeah, my god that was some pass. A 45-yarder from our goal. I've met Mick several times, and he's a sound man.
D.M: So let's look at the standings and results. In our group, predicted whipping boys Tomure defeated Frenline Delpha 0-23 to 2-15, and Noksentin beat Banija in a close game which finished 0-14 to 0-12.
J.S: And Consumar got a bye. Lucky bastards.
D.M: So we're at the top of our table. Hurray.
J.S: What do you think of our chances in the next match, against Tomure?
D.M: I reckon we'll scrape a win. We've done fairly well in pre-season and in our opening match.
J.S: Well, that's all for tonight folks. Keep tuned to GAA TV for the highlights of the game. Goodbye.

Gaelic Football Set to Start

The Anacondas are entering another athletic competition very soon. This time, it is Gaelic Football. Many of the athletes describe the sport as a "cross between rugby and soccer." Although, the scoring system is a bit flip-floppity. The goal is to kick the ball into the net, a goal that is worth three points, and to score a point by kicking or "fisting" the ball above the crossbar. We reached out to one of the athletes who will be representing the Anacondas on the pitch, right half-back Ty Luder, about the weirdness of this event.

"It's a strange sport to say the least, but it has a strange appeal. It requires a lot of coordination to compete, and it takes discipline. Especially when it comes to handling the ball. Some of those rules are whack, but you get used to it. It's a fun sport to try and play. Imagine soccer where you can use your hands, and goals are worth 3 points instead of one. Also, fifteen on a side can get confusing, but it also allows for fast-paced games, as the teams go back and forth quite a lot. I feel sorry for the goalkeepers because they have to agile to handle the situations they face in the game. I feel confident in Samuel's ability to defend our net. However, I wouldn't count on him blocking any points."

The event will take place in a rather new international sports competitor, Ethane. The Anacondas will play their first two games at Ales Park, and then they will travel to the delightfully named Eternal Stadium. The Anacondas will then have a game break to reassemble before their final two contests in Basement Park Stadium. It's a lot of traveling, but coach Salanka Bellbin says her team is prepared for this tournament.

"I fell confident in our ability to play this sport. Frenline Delpha may not be the best team in this tournament, but we sure plan to show the international community we deserve to be champions. In fact, that's what we are basing practice on. Nothing but first place for this team. Drills, conditioning, and cool downs. We feel very confident in this event, and we are going to show that from game 1. We will attack from the start. We aim for the goal, but we will settle for points, if necessary. Offense is our focus, and we will be playing a very offensive game against all our opponents. That being said, we will still be playing defense because defense wins games. Also, our goalkeeper is phenomenal. We have the utmost confidence in his ability to protect us from those goals."

The Anacondas will start play against Tomure. With fourteen teams in the fray, the Anacondas will play in Group B. It will be a fierce competition, but we will be rooting for the Anacondas all the way. You can catch all games on your local NRSC channel.

GAA TV

Cos why not?

J.S: Hello, this is GAA TV. I'm James Sheridan, and the man on the couch over here is David 'The Shark' Malone.
D.M: James, I told you about calling me that before. Now, getting onto the news, Oisinistan won their game against Tomure in a convincing style with a 0-16 to 0-9 victory. Davy Fitz made a few changes to his side that beat Dingalonglandia or whatever they're pronounced as.
J.S: I've been informed it's Derpasdflkkkk or something like that. Anyway, onto the squad changes. Steven Hogan replaced Daniel Doyle in midfield, Patrick Daly came on for James Ryan in defense, and John McDonagh was replaced by Rob Ferriter in attack.
D.M: And these little tactical tweaks work, especially Rob Ferriter. He had an absolute blinder of a game, scoring us 6 points. Luke Dunne scored 4, Ryan O'Rathilly and Cian Lynch got 2 each, and Steven Hogan and Adam O'Brien scored one each.
J.S: But oh my gosh, that point by Adam O'Brien was the best goal I've seen all season. He just kicked it from beside our crossbar over the bar to score us another point. What an amazing goal.
D.M: So our next match is Noksentin, the current group leaders, and the only other team other than us to have scored 4 points in this tournament so far. Noksentin pulled off a major upset when they beat out-of-form Frenline Delpha by 0-26 to 0-12.
J.S: I reckon we could pull off a win against Noksentin. We definitely have the capability.
D.M: Agreed. Well, that's all we have time for, folks. Stay tuned for the match highlights, and a remix of commentator Teresa Mannion going mad after Adam O'Brien's point!

UV-7 NEWS, HANKOW, UNITED VIETUSSIA

A stunning, but crushing victory for United Vietussia comes in the form of a 4-31 (43) to 1-21 (24) victory over Valbona to remain the top team this year by winning the GD and staying 3-0. Up next, United Vietussia plays host nation Ethane to try and stay one of the 6 undefeated teams in the Gaelic Football World Championships. It should be a great match, and is considered to be one of the closer matches this tournament. As the Minhkang casino opened, Vietussia only had a -3 lead in the lines.

"As players, we normally don't look at the lines," said Diarmuid Connolly, Vietussia's Centre, when asked about casino lines "Heck, look at the last game against Valbona. I remember hearing it was something like 14 point favorites, yet we got 4 green flags en route to an almost 20 point victory. Truthfully, lines are only for people who need help where to put their money in the casinos."

It is sure to be a great match, and truthfully, a season-defining match for United Vietussia. Everyone is clamoring with businesses closed to their TVs and nearest radios. An expected 72.6 million Vietussians will tune in after 56.9 million tuned in for the last match. Broadcasting stations are strengthening their receptions, fighting over the ratings to receive the most money.

All that aside, VSN-8 in Oigrad will have some fantastic play-by-plays coming up for the midday news. Until then, I'm Jeg Ports, saying good night, Vietussia.

UV-7 NEWS, HANKOW, UNITED VIETUSSIA

BREAKING NEWS:

United Vietussia just edged out a close victory against Ethane, winning 0-13 (13) to 0-12 (12). It was very close, and could have been caused by a costly injury to Daniel Harty and a send off RED CARD to Devon Jacks after a nasty hit to Vietussian Centre Diarmuid Connolly. Ethane played great defense all game, and Vietussia had to pick up a string of 5 straight points, including a white flag with seconds left to pull out a win from what was an exciting match.

With a win tomorrow against Kaboomlandia, United Vietussia will clinch a semifinal berth. With a win AND a Camelone loss, United Vietussia will clinch the Group A title.

United Vietussia (4-0) now joins Kaboomlandia (2-1-0) and Oisinistan (4-0) as the only undefeated teams. With the game against Kaboomlandia, the field of undefeateds could be lowered to 2, or 1 if Osinistan loses to Banija, which is unlikely as Osinistan sits as the -13 point favorites. Opening the casinos, Vietussia remains a -5 favorite over Kaboomlandia. 78.9 million Vietussians tuned in, and an expected record 100 million Vietussians are expected to tune in tomorrow. Money is being slinged in casinos on Vietussia bets, and all is well with coach Xavier Nogueras.

"You know, when expected to finish 3rd by GAA TV, you do expect things like that to happen," said coach Xavier Nogueras, when analyzing mid-season stats. "But when you become an undefeated, number 1 overall team, it is a huge morale boost to our players. We hope to keep it going with a win tomorrow, and our players know the fans are ready to cheer them on."

A report is being written up via VSN-8 Sports in Oigrad, which will air sometime tomorrow. But until then, this is Jeg Ports, UV-7 News, Hankow, United Vietussia. Good night everyone, and have a good evening.

GAA TV
Not to be confused with Gay TV!
J.S: Hello and welcome to GAA TV, not Gay TV AS THE NETWORK EXECUTIVE RENAMED US!!!
D.M: Sad times, sad times indeed.
J.S: But guess what? Oisinistan have 4 wins from 4!
D.M: That is good news!
J.S: Yesterday, Oisinistan defeated Consumar in an exciting game that finished 1-18 to 0-12. Oisinistan got points from Rob Ferriter (1 goal and 3 points), Matthew Comiskey (5 points), Luke Dunne (3 points), Ryan O'Rathilly (3 points), Shane O'Neill (2 points) and Dylan McCarthy (2 points).
D.M: My man of the match for that had to be Rob Ferriter. The Shamrocks man has been on hot form since he was made a starter in Game 2.
J.S: Matthew Comiskey had a fantastic game. He set up 5 of the 13 points he didn't score himself. He's definitely my man of the match.
D.M: Well, remember we made our predictions at the start of the tournament? Well, let's check them out!
