To be honest, I'd disagree there, Cormac.

a) the point of a metaphor is to compare two things that are not identical, but similar
b) it's still real. People are still real, the rest of NS is not an NPC

That said, if you're going to make a metaphor, the actions *should* be similar. Graffiti to tagging is a close one. There's no lasting individual disturbance, at worst it's a minor hardship to the life of a business/region, it mostly occurs to rarely visited/abandoned areas, the damage is wiped away even easier, faster, and more completely then it could be on the streets, and the "laws" here even allow it, even if it's socially frowned upon. That's about as fair a comparison as I see us getting I'll take graffiti artist over rapist/terrorist/etc any day.

Well, when The Dictatorship of Union of Soviet Socialist Libertarians says "we also wish you luck in that you won't be raided" it sounds a bit like he/she is insinuating that France was going to be targeted by raiders for some reason because of what happened IRL. It would be a completely irrelevant thing to add to that message of condolence, even if France didn't have a founder. I mean, it probably isn't meant to sound that way, and shouldn't reflect upon TITO or USSL, but it still sounds pretty bad.

The occupation of Middle Earth has concluded today, after eleven days of unchallenged and total rule. Without a single liberation attempt, the natives had no other hope than to wait for the clouds of sorrow to disperse on their own. Several natives have been escorted to the Rejected Realms by their benevolent overlords. I would also like to express the Black Hawks' great appreciation for the valuable support provided by Albion, The Land of Kings and Emperors, Europeia, DEN, Lone Wolves United, Auralia, Kingdom of Alexandria, Asgard, and the Vengrynkhal Empire.

During today's minor, the Black Hawks decided to stretch their wings a bit after sitting in Middle Earth for almost two weeks. A young and inexperienced hawk was taught the basics of switching and diving onto an unsuspecting target, as 20 regions fell victim to the vicious and merciless attacks. Two Knights of Auralia had accompanied the two hawks in their pillaging, and showed much grace in their movements.

Dashing through the snow tags

Time passes by quickly, and just before you know it 2015 is reaching it's end. We've had many fun and exciting military operations on both the raider side, and the significantly less kewl side of the game. Regions have crumbled to the ground, and others have risen to wave their flags as high as they can. And now the holidays are approaching, bringing with them vacations from our jobs and studies, and some tasty treats to fatten us up for the winter. Today we've done some sloppy, yet still entertaining, raiding to wish everyone a merry Christmas. And to everyone else who does not indulge in that particular holiday, happy whatever other holiday you may celebrate! We've had to pause our activities mid update for 20-30 minutes due to unforseen acts of god, but i trust you would not make fun of us endangered and sad hawks because of that, would you?

PFC Solassas engaging natives

A nice and casual practice run this minor resulted in a young and inexperienced hawk showing great speed and capability when it comes to switching and pointing. The two hawks who flew through the night and burned every region in their path piled up a body-count of 12 pillaged regions.
