Demon God Alastir

"My willpower flows through my body like a mighty stream, when I put my mind to something, It will be done regardless of any lengths I have to go to, and I know that for a fact that the Earth will be punished by my hand, I will not wait until they are categorized as warmongers, I want them to remember ever bit of my vengeance, the same wrath that Eiling unleashed upon my home, he struck at my Galaxy because of the actions of two people, So I am going to return the favor, Earth will pay in blood for the actions of one man that cost the lives of millions upon billions of people in my Galaxy."

- Demon God Alastir, Prior to Arriving to The Mortis Monolith

"At long last..." Alastir whispered, standing before the mighty monolith that led into the sacred realm of Mortis, the home dimension of the Immortals as well as the Primordials before them, it had been a long time since he actually was within Mortis, and he could barely hold in his satisfaction at seeing the mighty monolith before him, beckoning him into the realm to reclaim his title as the God of Darkness "Mortis..." Alastir said in awe, holding his hands out to the mighty monolith, and within moments, dark magic shot out and began to form a darkened vortex around it "Open for me so that I may be able to reclaim my long lost title, to feel the full embrace of darkness enveloping me and serving as the instrument to it's master's will power, OPEN!" Alastir exclaimed, bringing his hands out and extending his arms as far as they could go, the swirling vortex of darkness intensifying with each passing second before suddenly, a bright light shot out in all directions, setting the darkened vortex aflame and causing both Alastir and Akor to turn their heads away from the light.

Out of the column of light came the fused form of Satera, but instead of Spera being the dominant personality, Ouranos' will took hold, allowing him to personally communicate with his fallen 'son'. As soon as both Alastir and Akor turned their heads, Alastir's eyes narrowed and Akor growled darkly, anticipating a battle, but to this, Satera (Ouranos) spoke with a calm demeanor in his voice "Calm down my sons..." Ouranos began, his golden aura beginning to die down slowly "I do not wish to fight against my own son, I only want to talk to you." With a single wave of his hand, Alastir, Akor, and himself appeared within the great citadel, one of the largest structures on Mortis, serving as the throne of Alastir during his independent reign of Mortis "I know that It is far too late to shake your attention of the matter, but I want to simply warn you, Alastir, you know how powerful the defenders of Earth are, and how they will respond to your attack, they will defend to their last and bring the vengeance of Earth upon you, there is a high possibility that you will die trying to satisfy your vengeance against the Earth, and you probably don't care about that either, but I know what you are aiming to do..."

Alastir's eyebrow arched in question, Ouranos gave a knowing smirk "Ah, so you finally see how I've intended to move on Earth, to answer your question, yes, I desire to gain control of the Dark Gods and forcibly incorporate their power into my own, while I also intend on regaining my former godly essence, you'll have no idea how it feels to be disconnected from the cosmos after being used to such a feeling, and you indeed do understand why I am doing this, and I understand that you can't provide help, but all of this could have been avoided if you and Spera took proper care of our home, I would have not acted in the way I did, but you have no Idea how betrayed I felt when you..." Alastir stopped, Ouranos putting his hand on Alastir's shoulder, a smile on his face.

"I know, but I thought that It was my last chance to show you how this grudge has cost us dearly, beforehand, you didn't trust humanity, and that doubt in humanity led to where we are now, two different paths, one that walks in the light, and one that walks in the darkness, but this time, I am unsure if either side as the correct intentions or not, yes, humanity should not get away with this atrocity, but it was simply the actions of one man, surely that will dismiss humanity of this-" At this, Alastir glared at Ouranos, his eyes glowing red in anger, causing Ouranos to shut up automatically.

"It does NOT dismiss them from their crimes, Sigma Galli Prime was destroyed because of the actions of two people from my Galaxy, the emergence of the Dark Gods was due to Eiling wanting to pay the Half Breeds back, they never should have tried to force neither Asumar or Kazuko to register themselves and we wouldn't be in this situation Ouranos, I will make sure that the human race pays in blood, but I will not simply destroy the planet or wipe out all life on Earth, but I will kill as many humans as possible, and only when I feel that enough blood has been paid in full, only then will I leave the Earth alone, I no longer care about my life in the slightest, all I care about is revenge, and I will not be satisfied until the humans pay for every wrong they brought upon MY home!" Alastir replied with a growl, turning away from Ouranos as he journeyed to the Waterfall of Darkness "Akor, stay here with Ouranos, he has answers that you want to know." and with those words, Alastir left the Citadel, leaving both Akor and Ouranos behind.

All-Red the Technosword. It was something that Xylan had thought of as a mere legend, a fairytale. But, as the overwhelming evidence of its existence was now in front of him, the fairytale was quickly becoming a horror story. And, it also meant that at any point, the Dark One could kill them all, perhaps even destroy the planet. It was obvious that this was a war that couldn't be won, and, prolonged conflict would likely only increase the destruction. At every moment, running away began to look more and more appealing. As Xylan looked around, he saw his troops continue to fight, acting on their own as more and more enemy forces arrives, beginning to overwhelm the front line. They would likely continue to fight, not knowing the futility of the situation. The loud battlefield, in the grand scheme of things, seemed silent, as all Xylan could here were the footsteps of the Dark One. It was the sound of his own demise. And it was drawing closer.

It was only until he felt a hand on his right shoulder that he began to regain his situational awareness, looking over to see Graav, frantically shouting at him, and trying to pull him back. Xylan could hear his voice, but couldn't understand him. Continuing to look around, the rest of his forces were being decimated by the Dark One's, and many of them were running away as they realized they were vastly outnumbered. He looked to the sky, overwhelmed by thunderstorms, blazing with red lightning. Another one of his squadmates attempted to charge the Dark One, only to be cut down like Phoon. Now only he and Graav were left of his squad. The VTOLs circling in the air were being shot down one by one by enemy anti air, along with elemental attacks. Finally, Xylan's vision was locked upon the Dark One once more, as he came to peace with the end, and arrival.

It wasn't until moments later, when Xylan was thrown to a puddle on the ground by a powerful punch, that he finally snapped out of it. Looking up, he saw Graav, his fist broken and regenerating, the result of hitting his squad leader. Xylan looked up at him, "Graav... we can't win." he said, his wounds from the hit slowly regenerating, "Foundry is lost, he's simply too powerful with that sword. There is no Devourer of Worlds to defeat this Dark One, not like on Old Foundry. None of us are capable of defeating such a force on our own."

Graav stuck out his hand to Xylan, offering him help up, "I know we can't beat him." he said, somberly, "But, you owe it to your soldiers to get as many of them out of here possible. If the Dark One and his forces are not temporarily halted, they will slaughter the men trying to retreat. So, what do we do sir?"

Xylan grabbed Graav's hand, pulling himself up, and turning to see his men retreat to the central evac area, a large open area in the middle of the city where the heavy duty troop transports could land and dust off without the obstruction of buildings. It was far off though, without cover of VTOLs, they would be picked off by the Dark One's forces. "We will fend off the Dark One and his army until they reach the evac zone, then." Xylan said, having regained his composure, "After that, there should be enough distance between us and them for the evac vehicles to do their job. Then, I think that it's time for us to abandon the planet, regather our forces, and begin to plan out a potential counter attack to retake Foundry."

Graav nodded, and the two turned to face the Dark One, who stood still, nearly one million Constructs standing to his back. The Dark One slowly lifted his sword, before pointing it towards the two lone fighters in the rain, who's army was running away. With that, the enemy Constructs began charging the position of the two, their thundering footsteps shaking the ground as they funneled into the corridor like streets. Xylan quickly raised his hands, massive bolts of lightning emerging, splintering off and striking the Constructs at the front of the horde, before spreading throughout the crowd of enemies like a chain reaction, vaporizing all it touched.

To avoid the chain lightning, the Constructs approaching it began to jump over their comrades, who were being electrocuted to death. Graav stuck out his hands at the jumpers, who were successfully avoiding the lightning attack, using his powers to increase their gravity to the point where they began collapsing on themselves, creating momentary black holes as they were wiped from existence.

The enemy line was suddenly halted, as they realized that they were simply throwing away soldiers, and not gaining any ground, and likely had lost thousands of Constructs in mere moments. As the enemy halted, so to did Xylan and Graav halt their attack. They were not trying to obliterate the army, they were simply playing the clock, buying as much time as they could. If the enemy attacked, so would they. If the enemy halted, they would halt as well. But, he kept an eye on the Dark One, who simply watched the assault from the back of the lines, likely testing his army's capabilities.

The standoff between the two Constructs and the near million that opposed them lasted a short while. However, it was broken as the enemy soldiers began entering the buildings to each side. Attempting to gain flanks while remaining in cover. Xylan suddenly took a step forwards, lifting his hands. As he did, the massive buildings began to rumble and shake. The metal structures creaked as they began lifting off of the ground, enemy soldiers attempting to jump out as the skyscrapers raised into the air. Xylan suddenly made a throwing motion upwards, and one of the buildings shot into the sky at incredible speed, exiting the planet's atmosphere. The other skyscraper followed, and as the buildings entered space, Graav pointed his hands to where they where, quickly opening and closing two black holes. The buildings were instantly engulfed, sucked into oblivion by the wormholes created by Graav.

Xylan almost chuckled at the ease in which these simple grunts could be eliminated. But, hearing an explosion out in the distance to his rear, he momentarily broke his combat stance, being slightly jumped by the first thought that came into his head. Both he and Graav turned around, and looked at each other for a moment as a plume of smoke rose into the air near the central area of the city. There was no doubt. The evac sight was under attack. Xylan quickly opened a elemental portal with his electricity, allowing Graav to enter first as he took one last glance back at the Dark One, who still stood at the back of his forces, his arms crossed in apathy to the situation at hand.

Stepping through the portal, he looked from the building he ended up on down at the open area where the evac sight was located. What he saw both saddened, and terrified him. The entire evac site was on fire, with rescue VTOLs burning on the ground, and thousands of dead Constructs littering the ground. And, in the middle of it all, stood the Dark One, his boot and Graav's head, and All-Red raised just above the Construct's back. In a split second, Xylan processed what had occurred. Somehow, the Dark One had created an avatar of himself, and sent it to the evac site. Looking up to Xylan, the two Constructs locked eyes for a moment, as the Dark One plunged his blade into Graav's back, who let out a scream of pain, which quickly faded into a whimper, before, finally, there was silence.

Xylan was helpless as his friend died. He could have helped him, he could have sacrificed himself to try to save Graav, but, at the end of the day, he knew that it was impossible to defeat the Dark One the way he currently was. Xylan took one last look around his homeworld, and created a portal. One day, he would return, and he would kill the Dark One, and retake his planet. But for now, he would go wherever the portal led him. Taking a step through the portal, he turned for one last look, to see the Dark One's horde beginning to spread through the city streets below. One day, he would make them all perish, for his people, and for his friends. As he exited, he found himself in a strange place, different from his homeworld. The gravity felt lighter, and it was nothing but arid deserts, sand dunes sprawling for miles. But, he was in this place entirely by design. There was only one person he knew who could help him defeat the Dark One. A legend among his people, existing in the Universe Xylan now set foot in.

The Bright One.

Jamie looked around after the elevator took her up to the living quarters of the Justice Queens, along with the rest of the girls there. She was only glad that the elevator had been spacious enough to fit them all with enough room, since she had never been great at dealing with several people packed into tight spaces, and while it was true that (at this point, Jamie took a moment to count the total number of girls present) five wasn't exactly a massive crowd, it was still more than the near null interaction she was used to, being a rather reclusive young woman. Still, though, the trip had been uneventful and completely bearable, midlly surprising her, and so, for the time being, Jamie simply analyzed the new room. It was quite lavishly furnished, at least in comparison to the humble apartment that she had grown used to during her time living on her own, and it seemed to have a lot of top-notch technology as well, though she suspected that if they had anything truly advanced, they probably kept it elsewhere.

"So... you guys... just stay here whenever you're not doing heroine stuff?" She asked, before a question far more important popped into her head. "Oh! Do you guys have a good TV in here?"

Seriskira simply continued staring at Jamal during all the time it took for him to cauterize the other alien's wounds and then manage to pathetically croak out two words. She had expected something more, needless to say, but then gain, she supposed she might have been expecting too much if she wanted these two creatures to tell her what they were doing here right away. The human had surely taken a nasty toll on his body after having been forced to outrun the Bone Panthers for however long he had been running, so she figured she should have actually been impressed that he had made it this far without collapsing or getting mauled to death. Still, the sight before her was anything but impressive, but in the end, what mattered was that the human had spoken at all. Those two words were more than enough for her to assimilate his language, and so, she could now communicate with him. The assimilation, naturally, wasn't perfect; it was an ability that was naturally honed with age and practice, and only Hadrian elders could be said to assimilate alien languages perfectly, but even children could do so to the point of being able to speak in alien languages more or less fluently, which was what mattered here.

"I didn't do this for you, you know?" She told him upon hearing his words of gratitude, speaking English effortlessly, though with a vaguely Spanish accent for some odd reason. However, afterwards, she sighed and shook her head, before walking up to the unconscious alien. "But I'm not going to get anywhere with you two like this." She spoke, before wrapping her tail around Cypher's leg and picking up Jamal with one of her claws, the human's weight being relatively light for her, though he likely wasn't too comfortable. Now with both aliens in tow, Seriskira jumped high into the air and began flying over the lush canopy of the rainforest at high speeds, heading back to where she had been meditating before being interrupted.

Once she was at the right spot, she swooped down once again, but this time, instead of heading straight for the ground, she slowed down before landing and set down Jamal more or less gently, taking Cypher into her claws afterwards and finally landing, laying Cypher down on the grass. They were back at the clearing, and the redheaded huntress walked back to the checkered cloth laid over the ground, sitting down on it and pouring some Hadrian tea into another cup. It might have seemed like a strange custom, to carry an additional cup even when one was heading off to meditate in some faraway landscape, but most Hadrians did it anyway, solely because you never knew when Hadrimmelis would drop by for tea. As silly or unlikely as something like that might sound, it happened sometimes, and nobody in their right mind wanted to get on the bad side of a Goddess, not to mention that more often than not people preferred not to be considered as terribly rude.

"Drink." The Hadrian spoke, more of an order than a suggestion, as she looked at Jamal. "Drink and then explain to me what the hell you're doing here in Adai. You're obviously not from around here." Seriskira said as she sipped her own drink. She was considerably calmer than before, part of her annoyance subsiding while her curiosity grew. Who were those two? "I have no food, so if you're hungry, I'm afraid you'll have to starve a bit longer."

"Nice to meet you Hiroshi." Black Sun replied politely with her ever-present smile, before glancing over at Black Nova. "Um, she's my sister, and yes, she's obviously unconscious, and hurt, you just need to look at all the bleeding cuts and scratch marks on her body. I know they're healing, but they shouldn't be that difficult to spot." She stated, giving Hiroshi a confused stare as she wondered why he was asking such self-evident questions. Perhaps it was just something that people from this planet usually did? Of course, Hiroshi was not a human, but Black Sun didn't know that; he was the first inhabitant of Earth she had met, so as far as she was concerned he was an earthling. With that in mind, she gave a mental shrug at the situation.

"You have a safe place for my sister to stay in? That's great! I would be very grateful if you could take us there." The girl with the mechanical arm said cheerfully as she snuffed out the radiation sphere she had placed on Black Nova's arms earlier and then pulled her sister's arms over her shoulders in order to carry her. With that done, she looked back at Hiroshi. "Lead the way." She told him.

A bit caught up in her own thoughts, Nelli wasn't paying a lot of attention, but she looked up once she heard Mars' voice addressing her, smiling a little at the offer. "Ah, well, that would certainly be helpful. I was under the impression that one would have to sign up or something like that before being allowed to stay here, but if that is not the case, then I will be happy to stay here." She said sincerely. Staying in the Tower of Youth hadn't really crossed her mind, even though it probably should have, so she hadn't been expecting Mars' offer, but it sure helped her. Her most immediate problem was now taken care of, and she could freely explore the human world with little concern and without risking being found by her mother. "Anyway, whatever you decide to do in order to address Nico and Cat's problem, you may request my assistance if you need it. I can use magic to help." She stated.

"Oh, you too? Great! I can use magic by singing." Kiris commented, excited to have another magic user on the team.

"Hmm? That sounds nice. I generally trigger mine through blood sacrifices." She said, raising her black knife, as if further clarification was needed.

"Ah..."

Etla grinned as she heard Serene confirm that Cloudy was cute. She picked up the robotic bunny and hugged it once again. "See? The bow lady thinks so too!" She said proudly, though Cloudy's only response was a sucession of nondescript mechanical whirring. However, when Serene and Darian began speaking of heading away, the golden-haired Rainborn frowned. "What do you mean you should be going? You can't be serioud about walking away after something like that. There's so much we can talk about! Like who that creepy cloaked guy was, for example, or why those demon things are going after you. It's not a good thing to keep things like those to yourselves, you know? You might feel better if you talk about it a little. You don't seem very happy about it after all." She rambled on, before pausing. She had a feeling that there was something she was forgetting.

"Ah, of course." She thought to herself, before making a gesture that essentially said 'excuse me' and literally pouncing on Ihra. "Sis! What are you doing over here? I was looking for Cloudy. Did you see him? Isn't he cute?"

A Heart of Darkness

Frank Mayhem

"A few minutes is far too much to wait." I muttered out while watching the massive Celestial Android forces quite literally punch through our front ranks. "We are outnumbered by a million to one."

"You are correct - but thankfully, we're not here to win. All we have to do is last those few minutes and make sure the First Angel is secure."

These words, spoken by Shaytan... they're the words I'll have to guide myself with. Well, I suppose we won't do much by standing here and waiting, so I leaped up and charged forward, Heat Blade in my right hand, towards the grey and black mass. Thankfully, I wasn't wearing my Class X red jacket today, instead having put on a nice white Earthling shirt - that should make sure the Herans recognize me. Now... attack. Attack, attack, attack. Right slash, left jab, a few step kicks. Right slash, left jab, a few step kicks. Right slash, left jab, a few step kicks.

Volley of energy blasts towards a small cluster of opponents. Right slash, left jab, a few sweep kicks. Heat Blade throw - nice one! That one went through a nice dozen of opponents. A cluster's trying to go for the statue? No problem - energy wave! Get lost from her, you freaks.

Right slash, left slash, energy blast volley. My god, they just keep coming. As I'm writing this for you, even now I feel bored out - just think what were my thoughts when I actually had to experience this madness!

The opening in the front of the Cathedral was widened enough that a huge swarm of those Androids charged in. It was like... a sandstorm. Except instead of sand, it was city-busting chunks of graphite alkaline and Celestial gadgets. I crossed my arms and moved back... It was tough. They rammed and rammed into me - into all places, from head to toes. I could barely see farther than a few feet away, but one object was easily recognizable - a hulking man covered in a blinding aura. He too was fighting the wind.

Okay... okay... it seems to have subsided. What's the damage?

Almost all pillars are damaged or, at worst, broken and shattered. The statue is mostly gone, though the legs and a few chunks of the upper body were still doing their best to stay where they are. Hundreds of bodies and thousands of incapacitated robots covering the tiled ground.

Could be worst, but could also be way better. After all, when one of us dies, it's a tragedy - when one of them dies, it's a setback.

...

Good one, creativity module.

I tossed my Heat Blade like a boomerang through a blob of unaware Androids about to attack the Statue, cutting through like butter. That one's setting them back for a whi-

BOOM!

Milliseconds later... I found myself... in a heap of gravel and dust... and something speeding towards me. Oh, the pain on the cheek... I was tricked! What, are they smart enough to do distractions now? If so, then it takes quite a lot of dedication to kill off an entire squad of soldiers for a single maneuver.

We Celestial Androids are really expendable.

As I stood up and my blurred vision started to recover from the shocking blow I could finally make out what was coming towards me. Sort of. It was a humanoid, covered in a white aura, holding a sword in it's hand, registered to be moving at hypersonic speeds.

...It's a Class X!

These words lighted up in my mind in kilometer-wide letters, along with the words "GET THE HELL AWAY!" Okay, whatever you say. I grabbed onto the edges of the crater I made and tossed myself to the back, pummeling and rolling down as the foe stabbed and melted down the entire pile of gravel. Okay, now make up your mind, Frank... It's a Class X. Transformed, Influx Level One. An Earthling model - it looks just like me, just with the original red coat. It's not wasting any time - already dragged out it's own Heat Blade from the earth and stood in a calm, but battle-ready position.

I drew out my own blade. In this particular situation, only a Heat Blade can take it's own monstrous heat. If he hits me with it anywhere but the sword - I'm dead, turned into an alkaline-organic mash. The uplifting part is that the same applies to him.

He's looking right into my eyes. It's like I'm fighting a more evil, angrier and edgier version of myself.

Now, what should be the approach? Should I throw the blade for an instant kill? It's an Influx mode android, of course he'll be able to dodge it - and then I'd be defenseless. Maybe wait for it to strike first and judge it from there? Practice and experience won't help, though - they're remote controlled, they already have all the experience they need.

So it's not just an evil me, but also a more experienced me. What fun times! - said no one ever.

At last, it decided to move first. A standard flight to the front, moving the blade back, then slashing forward. He wants to end this quick. How to counter? I opened up with a wide horizontal swing, and the weapons struck each other right in front of my eyes. I could feel the heat from here. Thankfully, the foe went for a more stabby move, so I had more momentum and overpowered it in the clash. The weapons... the weapons are down. What now?

As the blades were still fencing around the legs, I shot an eye blast to the Android's chest. Not too much damage, but a bit of a distraction for him. Now! Step kick. He was immediately knocked away and slammed into a pillar, which soon collapsed and melted down from the Heat Blade the Android still held in it's hand. He's distracted! Move now! I sheathed the Heat Blade, leaped up and gathered up a heavy lot of energy.

Time for a bit of a surprise finisher.

I put my palms in front of my chest, facing each other, then made a small, but concentrated ball of energy between them. As I fueled more and more energy into the attack, the sphere moved out and stationed itself in front of me, growing bigger and bigger, over a meter in diameter. When it reached that size, it stopped expanding and instead started growing denser and denser. More and more compact. The light from the ball was heavily overpowering any other source in the room together.

Is it done? No...

Is it done? No... not yet... The Class X rose up from the molten ruins of the pillar and looked around, confused.

...Is it done now? Yes. I closed my eyes.

"CHROMA FLASH!"

The sphere immediately changed shape into a white, hot, glowing, massive and outright devastating beam, pummeling down right at the unsuspecting Android. Any other androids that happened to be in the way, no matter which class, ended up immediately vaporized on contact. So was the Class X. So were the dozens of kilometers of earth that happened to be behind him. The vaporizing and incinerating attack lasted for a few long seconds, then finally faded as I opened my eyes to admire the results.

If this had been an explosive and not a vaporizing attack, it could've easily destroyed this entire star system.

But the cheerfulness too faded, as I soon noticed that an attack this large drew the attention of everyone and everything involved, and I immediately saw thousands of energy blasts being fired at me from all directions.

All of them. Every single one. Well, what could've I done but take them all and fall to the ground...

My motionless body fell gracefully... towards the ruined ground of the below...

And crashed...

And stood there, moveless.

I should forget all of this happened.

I should just try to act dead. I turned off my Influx, just in case.

"Have you... checked... up on the Angel?"

Somebody spoke. It was... Shaytan? He's also here. I slightly tilted my head to look at him. Even worse than me. Covered in wounds, blood. Some organs were visible. Clothes were apparently no longer a thing. No longer a thing on him. Darn it, I can't even think straight anymore!

"Not really..." I replied.

"I can't feel Itaku's ki signature, or at least not in there..."

"I think we should just forget about the whole ordeal. There is no thing like magic or divine beings that actually help you, instead of exploiting you for satisfying their greed."

Shaytan looked up, probably thinking.

"Could we possibly check up on them? See if anything's wrong?"

"You're crazy, Shaytan. It's not at hand's reach, so... may as well just be half a galaxy away. And plus, the whole Celestial Army in the way."

"Touch my body."

"Eh?"

"Just... trust me."

Well, I suppose there's nothing left to do, may as well fill out the old man's dying wish. I moved my feet to the side, slightly, until it touched the Prince's shoulder - and... as soon as I did so, I found myself no longer in open view with thousands of Androids buzzing above us, but in the same temple that we left Itaku in, albeit with some cracks in the ceiling. Huh? Teleporting? Shaytan can teleport?

Well, that is convenient. Using my last energy reserves, I slowly stood up to see the same ring of Clerics as before. All of their faces had a slight sense of... concern in them.

"Itaku, we... kinda failed at trying to hold off the Androids. All soldiers are dead and so will the people be, if we don't do something..."

She did not respond. Maybe she's in the center of the ring? Moving towards it to check this theory, I pushed a few priests to the side when I saw...

Itaku. But she was not okay. Definitely not okay. Lying on the ground in a slightly crouched position, motionlessly. Not even breathing. Next to her was a golden goblet...

Didn't she say something about the chosen person having to drink from something, and it's lethal to anyone but the supposed First Angel?...

"You bastards!" I exclaimed to the Clerics as loudly as my weakened body could let me.

"You have to wait..." one of the priests tried to defend himself.

"Wait for what? For the dead to rise? People DIED FOR HER outside, and you just... just poisoned her to death?"

"It's just a mirage. She deserves a rest..."

"She deserves a BURIAL, you freaks! I hope you all die to the Androids like the innocents you left to die for your shenanigans!"

I grabbed Shaytan's and the dead Heran girl's bodies, put it on my shoulder, then lifted my arm straight up and fired an energy beam to that direction, creating a hole that went up to the surface, and leaped through it hopefully faster than the Celestial Androids could see and catch me. A few seconds later, I was back in the endless tundra. It was snowing heavily, and I could only barely see the collection of robots that were at the entrance to the Cathedral. I placed the Prince and the girl on the cold snow-covered ground, one next to the other, then looked to the horizon, where the Androids were starting to notice our presence.

What cruel and manipulating bastards. First, make everyone believe their lies, then find an unsuspecting victim to be called the Chosen One, get everyone to die for him or her and finally kill the victim. And none else but Itaku... Itaku was one of the few people that I could still rely on in this planet. She was one of the few who wasn't completely suspicious of me. She seemed to like me back, too.

Well, the game is over. We've had fun and we almost got killed. Get my teleporter out, and finally go back to Earth. Forget that Hera ever existed, Frank. There is nothing to like about it...

Something was oddly glowing behind my back. In light blue. What, are the Androids already coming up the hole?

"Uh, Frank..." the weak Shaytan muttered out. Alright, I'll take a look-

It was NOT the Celestial Androids, but... Itaku. Something's going on with her.

Jimmy suddenly teleported away, yelping.

"Crap!"

He teleported away again, exploding into ceramic.

"F*ck!"

And again, the fiery explosion scorching the ground where he once stood.

"Can you bastards stop trying to kill me!"

He teleported one last time, appearing on a roof top, two blocks away from the gang he was currently hiding from.

"Phew. Finally. Jeez."

He looked around, noticing a series of shoot - outs going on around the panicked streets around him, his hands twitching in anticipation, as he grinned wildly.

"Time to get to work!"

He teleported suddenly, appearing next to a gang member, absorbing the heat from the air, the bullets, and the exhaust around them, letting the power sizzle into his skin, as he lightly grazed the skin of the gang member, giving the unfortunate man three degree burns all over.

He teleported from member to member, leaving behind disastrous burns in his wake, but not fatalities.

A few bullets here, a few stabbings there, his danger sense protected him from all of it, instantly teleporting him away from danger at a moments notice.

Of course, one of these accidental teleportations just had to land him next to a very tempted bottle of booze, of which he was more than happy to partake part of, teleporting this way, and that way, leaving behind scorched gang members, frozen over guns, and a lot of inebriated remarcks.

He teleported away one last time, landing, slightly drunken, on a rooftop a block away form the whole mess.

He chuckled to himself, taking a swig, before noticing an immense shadow over him.

He looked up, seeing a massive, black armored mecha.

"Awww crap. "

Hiroshi:

Tapping his chin, Hiroshi let out a deep sigh. As if the situation couldn't get any more awkward, he was stumbling over his words now. East City really wasn't that far away, but if these women could fly, this whole trip would be much easier. Honestly, he wasn't sure the state his apartment was in, he hadn't gone home in a weak and his accommodations were humble to say the least.

Of course, even as he stood there, he could feel anxiety creeping up on him. He had no clue when Tomia and Claudia would return, and he wasn't liking a situation where he would have to apologize with two foreign women living in his apartment. Angrily gripping the bark of the tree nearest to him, Hiroshi shook his head, his onyx locks shaking as he stared past the two women.

" Yeah." Hiroshi said anxiously. " It's not a mansion, but it has a bed she can rest in. I'll have to do some cleaning and such before I can really let you loose but it should be fine."

With that, Hiroshi turned, approaching a slight plateau in the forest. It almost pained him to leave the only place he could relax in, but if he wanted to continue living in his apartment, or at least having somewhere to store his stuff for that matter, he needed to get some work done. Running his hands through the leaves of a tree, Hiroshi felt himself smile. His daughter would be returning soon enough, and he could get on with his life, with or without Claudia sadly enough. It wasn't very Saiyan, but the idea that his daughter wouldn't experience the horrors of fighting for your life or taking another's life, at least settled his nerves.

'I dread seeing Tomia more than Claudia at this point though. She knows the basics of our fight at least I'm sure-'

The powers that appeared in his mind immediately sent a swirl of emotions running through him. Three he counted, his daughter, Claudia and another. The third really didn't matter at this point, all that mattered was her.

" Can you fly? Someone very important to me is entering the planets atmosphere and I need to go see them... Now."

With that, Hiroshi launched himself into the air, floating several meters above the cyborgs.

The Void

The Dark Lord shook his head,
"The Knight and The Guardian need a trial if they are to Overcome The God Alien", The Dark lord left his throne, walking through the black nothingness. The Dark Lord stopped, twirling his head and causing a small Column with a Vortex like ball to appear. "a trial by Combat will be needed, I need to bring them to the Staging grounds" . The Dark Lord placed a hand on the Ball, the area around him started to morph and form, changing into a Dark colosseum. The Dark Lord transported to center of the Arena, The Dark lord summoned his Mace, holding it up and allowing the flat ground of the Colosseum to form into different sections, some of the land moving up, some of it dipping down, broken pieces of what looked like buildings appeared. "Good, now for the Fighters", The Dark Lord turned to an open area of ground, he pointed his Mace at the ground, "eleczalda, Min Nus, triva!".

Chicago, Earth

Knight's Domain

The Knight sat at the Knightcomputer, scanning the incoming weather reports of a Blizzard approaching chicago. The Knight shook his head, putting on his helmet and sighing. "great, a Blizzard, Should be fun Patroling in that weathe-". The Knight dissapeared from his chair seemingly out of nowhere, [Sir?] Sanza asked alarmingly, though the Knight was nowhere to be found.

Trial Colosseum, The Void

Both The Knight and Guardian appeared infront of The Dark Lord, caught offguard, they looked around. "gentlemen, it's good that You've arrived". The Knight and Guardian looked at The Dark Lord, "I Usually wouldn't contend with Worthless Mortals, However you two have shown prowess in fighting Threats much greater than yourselves. The God Alien you thought on Dathomir is planning to Attack Earth, If you Are to suceed against this Powerhungery shrewd, You must test your metal against what is to come, Now, Fight". The Dark lord dissapeared and reappeared on a high Platform of the Colosseum, as many Dathomiri Robots and Thrall Soldiers appeared around them. The Knight looked around at the force, some flying, others on the Ground. "None of them are actually Alive", The Knight peered at Guardian, "No need to hold back". The Knight said as he pulled out the Hilt of his sword as it extended into length.

Otis

"As fun as it sounds to go to a space bar. My face is a bit too well known since there was a video of me killing Darkseid, which got posted to the internet and somehow into space and most people are scared shitless of me because of it." He explained and remembered that Hadri mentioned that she knew about One Punch Man. Which surprised him. "Hey! I got a brilliant idea! ONE PUNCH MAN MARATHON!" He shouted. "I've got snacks and a big ass TV. You ever watch One Punch Man, Julie? If you haven't, you're going to! Now! I normally don't watch cartoons, but that shit was amazing. For a parody, it does a better job of developing characters than many other stories I've read. Not to mention it's so freaking funny. A commentary on Superheroes. I'm a superhero! Therefore I'm being commentated on. Come on Julie, I'll show you how to make fudge!"

Otis was a happy man. Things have been going better. He much preferred his Inhuman body to his old one. The Omega powers didn't hurt. He had actual friends that he could actual rely on. And some of them actually shared his interests! Which was surprising. Who would've expected a Space Goddess to enjoy a cartoon made on Earth? That wasn't even the strangest thing to happen to him this week. Each of his friends was more than powerful enough to destroy entire planets with the utmost ease. Himself included. He didn't know anything about the Omega Effect. That was something he would have to fix at some point in the future. For now, it was fudge and One Punch Man time.

The Knight and Guardian looked at The Dark Lord, "I Usually wouldn't contend with Worthless Mortals, However you two have shown prowess in fighting Threats much greater than yourselves. The Knight said as he pulled out the Hilt of his sword as it extended into length.

Guardian smiled as he clenched his fist and let out a small scoff.

"Let's do this."

The Dathomiri Robots and Thralls charged at The knight and Guardian, The Knight quickly slashed the leg og oen thrall causing it to fall to it's knee. The Knight then used the thrall as a step to jump, stabbing his sword into one of the large Dathomiri Robots. Guardian took off, Slamming into one of the large Dathomir robots and smashing it into the edge wall of the staging arena. Guardian then grabbed The Robot's left arm, tearing it off and tossing it at another Dathomiri robot, causing it to fall over. The Knight slashed his sword horizontally, cutting off the heads of two of the Thralls, The Knight stabbed a larger thrall in the chest with his sword, then grabbing him by his leg and heaving him over his shoulder onto a group of his friends. The Knight then took out his sword and began to make a stand on a large stepped area on the side of the Arena, slashing and cutting down The Thralls that attacked.

Guardian landed next to him, punching one thrall, and ripping a stop sign of the ground and tossing it, stabbing it through 7 thralls creating a shishkebab. Guardian and The Knight stood back to back. "I've got 20 so far", The Knight sliced a larger thrall accross his midrift, "37, what's the status on the larger Constructs?". Guardian grabbed a Stone Piller, lifting it up and throwing it at the Dathomiri robot trying to get back up, "Now, They're both down". The Knight shot a Knight dart at a thrall, kicking him down the steps, The thrall exploded taking down a large amount of other thralls next to him. The Dark Lord nodded, "interesting, now Let's add some more of The God Alien's men to the mix". The Dark Lord gave one wave of his staff, Dathomiri footsoldiers on small one man hovercrafts appeared, aswell as Humanoid Dathomiri attack construcst appeared. Guardian held out a hand to The Knight, "allyoop", The Knighty grabbed Guardian's hand, Guardian swung, tossing The Knight at one of the hovercrafts. The Knight landed on the hover craft, knocking the Dathomiri soldier off, The Knight placed an explosive on the hovercraft and jumped to another, knocking the soldier off. the hovercraft exploded, the wreckage landing and pinning three Dathomiri robots two the ground.

"excellent" The Dark lord said, he snapped his fingers and all of the enemies and Terrain of the Arena dissapeared. The Knight was teleported down next to Guardian as they stood in the middle of the flat arena. "so, did we win?", "wasn't a Competition as much as It was a Trial". The Dark Lord appeared behind them, "exactly" The Dark Lord said as they both turned to him. "And Now that I know you Two mortals are more than capable of taking on The God Alien's Horde, You've passed my trial". The Knight stepped forward grabbing The Dark lord by the cloth collar of his armor, "Stop Playign Games, What is this about?". The Dark Lord snickered, "the God Alien you fought on Catarock is planning to Invade Earth". Guardian raised an Eyebrow, "catarock? He wouldn't dare", "Oh he will, he has an army of tens of millions at his command, and with his teleportation technology He'll invade with a large force. But, as a Reward for your cooperation, a bit of insight into the Future that will come".

The Dark Lord snapped his fingers as both Guardian and The Knight recieved a visiuon of their future,
Guardian's Vision"
Guardian hovered in the air, with Maeya clad in Dark Dathomiri armor opposite of him.
"Maeya, Don't do this, what would your parents have thought?", Guardian said attempting to reason with maeya.
Maeya snickered, "The only Family i have is Catarock" Maeya finished as she shot a blast of energy at Guardian.

The Knight's Vision
Catarock sat in a Dathomiri Mother ship, salivating over the Images of his Troops marching and defeating Earth's armies on his monitors infront of him.
Then, behind Catarock, The Knight appeared, "it's Over Catarock", Catarock turned to The Knight, scrapes and burns on his armor.
"What do you think you can possibly do to m-", "I've sworn an oath never to use guns, and never to kill" The Knight said, looking up he revealed a Pistol, aiming it at Catarock.
"I'll make an exception, just for you", Catarock looked shocked, when he saw the ammunition in the Pistol, "Your armor is tough, However the Radion in this Gun will be more than enough to Take you down". "but-", "DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR". Catarock squinted at The Knight, "do you think you're fast enough to outrace my Disintegration beams?", The Knight stared at Catarock, scowling, "try me". The Knight fired his Bullet just as Catarock fired his Disintegration beams, The Radion Bullet hit Catarock, Piercing his Armor as he screamed in Agony. The Knight let go of the pistol, "I Win", Just as The Disintegration beams blasted him, sending him flying against the Wall.

Both The Knight and Guardian took a step back, trying to proccess what they saw. "Now, we'll have to depart, tata" The Dark lord said as He teleported both Guardian and The Knight away, sending them back to their Realm.

Knight's Domain

The Knight and Guardian were thrown through a portal back into The Knight's domain, hitting the floor and landing next to The Knightcomputer. The Knight groaned, he shook his head as he stood up, to see Anna looking confused at them. "are......you guys Okay?". The Knight peered at Guardian who stood up, "Oh, hey Guardian". The Knight looked around, to see they were back in the Domain, "well, Atleast we were teleported back here".

Central City

The city was bustling, of course the home of one of the fastest men alive would always be bustling. Night fell over the city, casting shadows from the buildings and shrouding the city in darkness. Most people didn't notice when a portal opened up in dark side-alley, casting a red glow into the street in front of it. Most people didn't see when a young man walked out of the portal, nonchalantly making his way up the street as the portal closed. No one really cared when the young man, who looked strangely like 'Red' from Pokemon, messed with the odd bracelet on his wrist, smirking as he made sure it was working properly. Most people took note when a dragon-like creature flew over Central City, disappearing into the night.

Central City

"So, Jay, how does it feel to be the youngest, and possibly only, trillionaire in the world?" Iris West asked, interviewing the young man.
"Feels great," Jay replied, "I don't have to worry about food, gas, video games, or even college. It's all paid for and then some!"
"That must be a load off of your shoulders." Iris said, laughing as she jotted down notes, "A lot of people have been wondering where your parents are. Are you going to be sharing any of your wealth with Mr. and Mrs. Wyatt?"
"I would, but my Dad is dead," Jay Wyatt answered, "And my mom is in another universe."

He could see the concern on Iris' face, realizing that clearly alternate universes was something she knew something about. Jay covered, saying that he was joking and made up some story about her disappearing on a jungle expedition when he was a kid. A few minutes later, the interview was done and Jay was left alone in his new building, Wyatt Tower. It was the biggest skyscraper in the city, and it had been redesigned into a home just for him. Most of the floors were just storage, but some were extra kitchens, game rooms, basketball courts, gyms, he even had a pool installed. It helped being able to create gold out of thin air.

Jay smirked, pulling his red coat on over his black t-shirt and placing his red cap over his black, spiky hair. Shoving his hands into his jeans pocket, Jay walked over to the elevator and out the door on the ground floor. He walked down the street, smiling and greeting people as he went about his day.

Present Day

"While the Flash has been away, Central City has had some pretty bizarre protectors." the anchorwoman said, broadcasting all over the world, "Villains have had their work cut out for them, as 'Video Game Characters' have been appearing to stop them. Most of our valiant heroes seem to stem from the world of Pokemon, though some come from other video games as well. We aren't sure who is behi-"

A beam of ice soared through the air, freezing the television and barely missing Jay. Jay couldn't help but laugh as Captain Cold took aim again, letting off another round of his icy gun. Jay smirked, jumping towards the ice and spinning in the air. As he turned, his extended foot became engulfed in flames.

"Blaze Kick!" he yelled, the fire and the ice canceling each other out, "You sure you want to do this, Captain Cold?"
"You can't stop me, Pixel!" Cold yelled, readying his cold gun.
"Precipice Blades." Jay said, smirking as blades of earth erupted from the ground, towards Captain Cold, "You should know, I can mimic the powers of video game characters. I can also do this, Groudon!"

Pixel watched Cold's eyes widen as Jay grew in the giant Pokemon known as Groudon.

"Primal Reversion." he growled, his body changing and becoming stronger.

The media saw Groudon, facing Captain Cold down and about to use the move 'Lava Plume'. The image was broadcast worldwide, anyone near a TV would be seeing the Legendary Pokemon staring down at the villain.

Mars
Mars smiled when Nelli said she'd stay, "Good I'm glad. Maybe we can figure out some way for you to help after all." He told her before turning back to the group. They then discussed a plan to infiltrate the headquarters's of Nico and Cat's parents, and after figuring out a strategy each member had a role to play in getting inside and securing information. Once that was done Mars dismissed the group and let everyone go off on their own. He personally made his way back downstairs to continue working on the numerous pet projects he had going at once.

Cora
Cora couldn't help but smile at Jamie's question and clapped twice before the far wall to which the couches and chairs were facing began to become ajar and expand away from the center, revealing a very large flat screen tv on the wall. "Nice enough for you?" Cora asked with a bit of a grin. "So I guess you really like technology right?" Cora asked Jamie trying to make conversation. "TV has been an interest thing for me to discover. Though sometimes I wonder why people need so many channels."

"Yeah, what DO you lot do when not being all gallant and stuff?" said Marybeth, plopping into a chair."You said you don't have any cars, and there is NO way all you do is watch tv and save people. So what is it? C'Mon, spill." Looking from person to person, she raised her eyebrow in true curiosity

As soon as she landed, Garnet got up and rubbed her rear a little. The enchanted petals had broken her fall, thankfully, and none of her artifacts had fallen off when she jumped, which was quite fortunate, but even so the simple fact that she had fallen from great heights caused her to feel a bit of discomfort, though whether it was physical or psychological, she couldn't tell. Either way, she listened attentively to the story that Masami told her about her family and her suspicions, frowning a little as she heard about the murder of her mother. It seemed like they had that in common. Of course, Garnet's family had no connection whatsoever to the kind of supernatural conspiracy web that Masami's family seemed to be involved in, but that hardly meant that she didn't know what it was like to lose a parent like that. She remained silent, however.

"I knew what I was getting into, Masami. I'm already prepared for a fight." She commented after hearing the Kitsune's words, looking out at the enormous manor that spread out before her. There was definitely something wrong about it, though she couldn't tell what it was. Glancing at Masami as she transformed, she noticed that the Kitsune seemed a lot more attractive when her tails were out, though it was surprisingly not affecting her too much. Unbeknownst to her, it was that the mask, and in general the many artifacts that she wielded, filtered out part of the supernatural influence.

Far less protected from such things was Akihiko, who caught himself staring at the four-tailed fox woman and immediately looked away, feeling somewhat embarrassed. He gripped Kusanagi's hilt and took it out from the magnetic scabbard. "I'm ready too." He said, sounding a bit half-hearted. Garnet noticed what was distracting him, however, and she frowned a little, feeling somewhat annoyed by it. She smacked him lightly on the head.

"Focus." The blonde woman told him, prompting the young half-Oni to blush brightly.

"Y-yeah, sorry." He mumbled.

Black Sun looked up at Hiroshi and raised an eyebrow. "Um, yes. How do you think I got here? Surely you didn't think that I walked or swam all the way here?" She asked, her politeness fading away slightly as she replied to the half-Saiyan's inquiry, though she kept her cheerful demeanor, for the most part. She didn't like being rude to someone who was being so generous too a pair of strangers, after all, but he was being really redundant in her opinion. Still, it wouldn't do to offend him, so she figured that instead of waiting around for him to say something else, the best thing she could do was lift off and follow him already. With that in mind, she suddenly lifted off, bursts of nuclear energy emerging from the soles of her feet propelling her into the air, though they did not seem to cause any harm to the grass beneath her or any of her surroundings. The energy being spent lifting her from the ground was, in fact, being reabsorbed into her before it could cause any damage to the environment. With ease, she lifted off to the height where Hiroshi was floating, and hovered next to him, staring at him curiously.

"Anyway, let's go. If there's something you need to do before I can let my sister down, I don't mind. She's probably not going to notice, anyway." Black Sun spoke. Black Nova was unconscious, anyway, so, it hardly mattered, and she really didn't mind doing other stuff with the earthling before going to his home to let her sister rest. Perhaps she could even learn more about the planet, which would be entertaining, despite the planet not interesting her too much.

After the group had discussed at length how they would infiltrate the criminal empire that Nico and Cat's parents had established and what role each of the Young Bloods would play in said infiltration, including the three new arrivals, the meeting reached an end and everyone was dismissed from the command room. At this point, Kirisvala was reminded from the events of that evening, and realized that she had not yet told Mars about what had occurred on the rooftop. With this in mind, she decided to go looking for him. She had not seen where he was going after he left the command room, but she figured that it was unlikely for him to be anywhere but in his workshop on the basement, where he seemed to spend an awfully large amount of time. The Hadrian then entered the elevator and headed down.

Once she arrived at the floor where Mars' workshop was located, she smiled, the various mechanical noises coming from the direction of said workshop confirming that Mars was indeed present. She walked up to the door and was about to open it when she stopped and figured that it might be rude to enter just like that; humans seemed to value room privacy a lot. Thus, she took a step back and knocked on the door instead. "Mars? Do you have a moment?" The pink-haired magician asked softly. Afterwards, however, she suspected that he might think that she needed something from him, so she decided to clarify. "I just want to talk." She said through the door, hoping he would not be too busy.

"I've never... seen that show before" Remarked the Green Lantern, raising an eyebrow. She wasn't used to the idea of sitting and watching a show with friends. She was a veteran, workaholic Green Lantern, so the idea of sitting around and watching a TV Series was not familiar to her. Though not nessecarilly an uncomfortable idea. She wasn't new to earth programming by any means, or even anime. But since the circle of her friends consisted of space cops and the disperate earth heroes she occasionally helped out here and there, she tended to watch them alone. "I suppose I could give it a try." She spoke. Julie reasoned she'd have to unwind at some point.

A Ghost

I'm done.

I'm dead. Finally.

So why do I still feel?

In the darkness of dusk, in gotham city, a soft light glowed as sparks arced from a single glowing blue point. At first about the size of a grape, it grew to baseball size, then the size of a shrunken basketball. Soon it morphed, gaining a shape, the light branching out as stems from it formed what seemed to be legs. Then towards the top, other stems formed armlike constructs, thickening with time as at the end they formed fingers. Next, at the very top, the shape gained a round sphere for a "head". Details were put in, things which made the once ball look more human. Soon, the thing gained colour, and suddenly was unmistakably human. With mouth open wide. The first thing this being did, was scream.

The voice was female, heard clearly as it let out a harsh cry of pain, punctuated by an electronic warped sound. It screamed with an intensity that made it horrible to hear, a banshee's cry would have been more appealing to the ear. The screaming put nails on a chalkboard seem appealing by comparison. Then there was a silence as the voice died down, the body now formed falling to the ground.

"BASTARD!" She shouted out. It was not the voice of joy, of fun and light humour as it once had been. It was not the voice that could infect people with wide smiles. Not anymore.

It was the voice of pain and anger given flesh.

She gritted her teeth, grinding them together as if that would crush all her hurt away. She clenched her entire body in unbelievable fury. She stood up and screamed again, a frustrated scream. The other one had been nails on a chalkboard, while this was the wet tear of flesh. So much pain and frustration it would have made most sane people cringe.

"You took everything... YOU TOOK EVERYTHING!" She hollered at the sky. She looked up at the nights clouds, as if daring them to strike her down with errant lightning. As if pleading to die.

She paused, looking up at the sky, seeing the stars. The lights in the sky. They reminded her of eyes. The eyes of the ones she once knew.

She broke into tears. She didn't want to, it seemed wrong, selfish somehow. But she did it.

"He couldn't even kill me..." She muttered in between tears. "That bastard... Why?"

She succumbed to tears once more, the rooftop on which she knelt. She slowly began picking herself up again, looking up, seeing that the eyes were now gone.

She paused, then fumbled in her pocket for something for a second. It was a ring in a box. She took it out and looked at it in the moonlight. She had gotten it for someone. Someone she cared a lot about. And now without the person it was to be worn by, it was meaningless. Without her lover, she was meaningless.

She placed the ring back in her box. She walked down the stairs of the building, towards the exit.

The recently resembled being walked through the streets, considering what to do next. She found it was better than thinking about what had happened last. But she always came back to that moment. His cocky smile, her dead eyes, the laughter, the screams.

The failure.

She had failed in revenge, and had given everything she had left into it. She knew she had nothing left, her powers spent. Even if she wanted to find the one who had erased the ones she loved, she wouldn't be able to fight him. She didn't know how.

Though, would it matter? There was nothing left anyway. She was a ghost. Far from the universe which she called home and her friends, her lover, her world was dead. Everything was dead.

"Do you think we can stop him? He's already gone through all the superheroes on earth and torn through them like nothing. What can we-"

"Miss!"

"Huh?"

Katie looked around, she was in the middle of the street. She saw a man looking at her from his car, window rolled down. He pressed his horn. "Get out of the way you Loon!" He shouted.

Katie paused, then walked away from the car, crossing the street.

What else could she do? She could try and live normally. She couldn't really, there was no way to forget what she had seen even if it had happened to strangers. Perhaps she could pretend she was going to live normally.

Pretending would be just as bad as trying. It wouldn't work. Katie never had the stomach for phoniness anyway.

"Enough. Now you're all going to die."

Katie hyperventilated as she watched the man before her. First Xander killed Kylie.

Next was Lamia the Inhuman. Tears and blood mixed.

Next was Valancy. Katie fell to her knees.

Next was Cora. He took his time with Cora. Or maybe it was just that time slowed down with her. Katie couldn't tell.

Next it was her. He stood in front of her. The same smile. The same laugh.

She scowled. He grinned. She electrified.

He punched. It didn't matter, she was a cloud of electrons in his system.

She pulled on every nerve she could on entry, pumping his body with unbelievable pain out of rage. Katie was fairly sure that was her mistake, cause after torturing him she tried to pull the plug. It was too late, though how much she was not sure. Her electrons had been scattered by an explosion of weird energy.

The wierdest thing was, there was no time to consider. She was strait into murder, as if someone had pushed a button. Fully ready to subject Xander to as much pain as she could before killing him. She had no time to think about it though. Thinking was hard as electrons.

Reassembly was more pain than she had been able to inflict on him. But not as much pain as she was feeling no-

"Miss!"

"WHAT!" She snapped.

The shop attendant jumped back slightly. Katie glared at her, then turned to where she had been looking.

Knives.

So this was what she wanted?

She had been feeling pain. She had seen things that could break most people and had likely broken her. She had done what she could, but it had not been enough.

She picked up one of the knives. She unwrapped it. The attendant looked at her, and then moved to try and stop her, but found herself seizing up. Unable to move.

Katie was surprised that her powers returned, but couldn't care less. She held out the knife. She wasn't sure what to do with it at first. She heard slitting her wrist could work well enough, but she didn't want to be saved by an ambulance. She needed something quick.

She finally placed the knife in the right position to stab into her heart. She looked at it. Then shook her head. Tossing it away, and letting the attendant go. She passed her some cash she had in her wallet and then walked away.

She couldn't do it.

She found herself in another alleyway, walking into it. She looked at the wall, seeing two posters near each other. The one one the left imediately caught her eye and cause her a twinge of rage. She saw Xander on it.

"Praetoria." She muttered. She touched the poster and let out some electrical energy in the form of a spark. The poster burnt to a crisp in seconds.

Then she saw another poster. Her eyes widened.

"Justice... Queens?" She pulled the poster off the wall for a closer look, tearing the picture off.

They were here. They were here too.

She then shook her head. It wasnt the same. It needed to be the same.

She crumpled the poster and then tossed it. She prepared to leave, but then remembered the poster. She frowned. Then walked towards it. She picked it up. Unwrapping it.

She saw Cora. Then got out her ring box. She paused for an eternity. Then she closed the box and pocketed the picture.

She knew exactly what she was going to do now.

Jamal's initial reaction to Seriskira speaking to him in English with a Spanish accent was one of confusion. That didn't last long however, as it was rapidly replaced with simple relief. Ultimately it didn't matter what accent she spoke to him in. Rather, the important thing was that she could speak English in the first place. When she told him that she hadn't helped him for his sake, he thought it a little odd. Of course, he had a pretty good hunch for why she said that. He had already gathered that the native habitat of the Bone Panthers was that desert and therefore naturally, they wouldn't be welcomed by natives of the forest. It was very likely that she was just protecting the forest and preventing any possible future incidents due to their presence. Still, it was an odd thing to say as a response to someone else expressing gratitude.

Jamal simply shrugged and then she said something that indicated that she was indeed going to help them, even if it was out of her own personal interests. When she wrapped her tail around Cypher, he assumed that she would just have Jamal travel alongside her. He didn't expect to be grabbed by Seriskira and held in her claws, though, and it came as a surprise as he was he was hoisted up and watched the ground below move further and further away as Seriskira took flight. Still, he didn't show much outward reaction as this occurred, and he simply waiting until they reached her destination with a neutral expression while he silently stared down at the lush canopy of the forest.

Finally, they arrived at a clearing in the forest and Jamal gently landed on his feet as she set him down. Jamal watched Seriskira walk over to a checkered cloth and sit down to pour a cup of tea. It was an odd thing to see, but as it wasn't nearly the strangest thing he had ever seen, he'd moved past it quickly and walked over and sat across from her. He took the cup and took a sip from it, resisting the urge to gulp down the entirety of the tea, as he'd risk causing himself to vomit, which would be counterproductive as it would only further dehydrate him. After taking a few frequent sips, he cleared his throat.

When Seriskira mentioned food, Jamal's stomach grumbled loudly. "It's fine, just...don't bring it up. Frankly, I'm more concerned about the fact that I'm on a planet I've never heard of. And, that's odd. See, I have knowledge of virtually every planet in the universe that contains sentient life in here." Jamal pointed to the right side of his cranium. "Unless..." Suddenly, his eyes widened in realization, but then he quickly snapped back to his neutral expression. "As for my companion and I... he's a bounty hunter, and I'm just a normal Earthling." Jamal said, pointing at Cypher and then back at himself. "He attacked me, his suit's teleportation system malfunctioned, and the next thing we knew, we found ourselves here. Don't worry, we have no intentions of sticking around for very long." He took another sip of the tea. "How long we stick around depends on how advanced your civilization is. Do you at least have Third Generation computers?"
"The Nixon campaign in 1968, and the Nixon White House after that, had two enemies: the antiwar left and black people. You understand what I'm saying? We knew we couldn't make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin, and then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities. We could arrest their leaders. raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs? Of course we did."—former Nixon domestic policy chief John Ehrlichman

Mars
Mars was doing some electrical work on one of his helper bots when he heard a knock on the lab's door and heard Kiris speaking to him from the other side. She said she wanted to talk and Mars quickly turned off his small sodering iron and walked over to the door, wondering what Kiris wanted to talk about. He opened the door, and saw Kiris standing there like expected. "Hey Kiris, so what did you want to talk about?" Mars asked, his mind going back to the last time they were alone, which made him blush slightly but he pushed thoughts away hoping Kiris wouldn't notice.

The Long Winter part 1

Chicago
5 hours after Blizzard hit

Chicago was caught offguard when the Blizzard hit, clouding the city in what seemed like an endless winter, freezing the city in time. The Blizzard also clouded the Chicago Police Force's ability to correctly coordinate in the freezing cloud, Allowing Criminals to better strike and spread their filth stricken Crime wave all over Chicago. though, through the bleak hopelessness, the City's two sworn Protectors, The Knight and Lawbringer, have come to the aid of their City. The Knight and Lawbringer have Battled the Criminals for a good week, breaking down Criminal gangs and stopping crimes, but unaware of Stahl's planned attack, which will catch them off guard.

Chicago, Side alley

5 Criminals ran down the snowy and ice covered alley, some almost tripping. "RUN, RUN, THEY"RE COMING". one of them said, while carrying a bag of money in his right hand. the 4 followed the crook, the sounds of the violent winds and ice blocking the noise aroudn them. The leading Criminal was tripped when a grappel shot from behind him grabbed his leg, pulling him off balance and tripping him. The 4 other thugs looked back to see Lawbringer sitting on a tall dumpster, holding her staff in one hand and the grapple in the other. "let's make this easy on you, Give up". "Screw you!" The Criminal on the ground said, pulling out a pistol and firing at Lawbrringer, Lawbringer flipped and ducked behind the dumpster. The Criminal on the ground was stopped from shooting, when a figure behind him grabbed him by the back of his coat with one hand, The Criminal peered over to see it was The Knight. the other Criminals grabbed spare pipes and pieces of metal and lunged at The Knight. The Knight grabbed the criminal with two hands, throwing him at the charing criminals knocking them over.

Lawbringer kneed the one standing thug, causing him to lean forward in pain, Lawbringer gave the Thug an under swing from one end of the staff, knocking the Thug's head into a wall knocking him out. One criminal got up and lunged at Lawbringer, lawbringer ducked down and thrusted her staff forward horizontally, knocking the Thug over her back, Lawbringer turned around and stomped on the Thug's head, Incapacitating him. The Knight grabbed one thug from on the ground, headbutting him and knocking him out. The Knight grabbed the last thug, staring him directly in the eye, "p-please don't hurt me", "You and alot of other Scum have been using the same symbol on your jackets, whether it be on your sleeve or back, or wherever. Wh do you work for, Talk!". The Thug was nervous, "I don't know i just found it". The Knight dropped the Thug onto his back, placing his right foot onto the Thug's Throat, Lawbringer crouched by the Thug.

"I'd tell him if I were you, He's not always in such a good mood", "ALRIGHT, ALRIGHT, Some guy named Legionaire recruited a bunch of us, Told us to work for Stahl's movement". "Where is me. Talk, Or I'll crush your Larynx". "jesus man, He got us together at the Abandoned Subway construction yard, near the highway. I swear that's all i know". "Good, Now take a nap" The Knight said as he took hsi foot of the Thug, then Southpawed the Thug knocking him out. The Knight quickly pressed a button on his gauntlet contacting Detective John Brakenbrook, "Knight, have you got more for us?", '5 Criminals on the Alley off Jefferson and 15th avenue", "thanks Knight, always good to have you around. The Kngiht ended the call, Turning to Lawbringer, "I think that went well", "you did well on your staff form, We're going to need to head to the Subway Construction yard to track down this 'Legionaire' ". Lawbringer nodded as The Knight pressed a button on his gauntlet, calling The Destroyer as it pulled around a corner and pulled up to the alley, The Knight climbed in the front and Lawbringer climbed in the back on one of the seats, The Destroyer pulled away as CPD police cars pulled up to the alley.

Hiroshi:

" Sounds Good." Hiroshi remarked back, the sound barrier breaking around him as he launched himself into the sky.

The sounds of air screeching by him followed him through the sky, a deep frown set on his features. Where you found one, you'd find the other, but that was precisely what he was afraid of. He could lie to himself and say he was ready to apologize, but he'd never be ready to face her again. Especially after the journey Supreme Kai had informed him about.

'Okay... Claudia's a fighter if I've ever seen one, maybe I should ascend encase she tries to attack me? Or would that make it look like I was rearing for a fight? Either way, let's hope she doesn't want to fight as long as Tomia's there.'

Looking down at the clearing below him, his feet hit solid ground again, the grass in the immediate area blasting flat in the face of the wind he'd created. The area seemed flooded, probably from recent storms and lack of sunlight due to the cloud cover. The wind that whipped against his face did little to distract him from the hammering in his chest. Euphoria over seeing his daughter again was almost outweighed by the gravity of the whole situation. Every instinct in him told him to run as the powers he felt grew closer and closer, but almost reluctantly, Hiroshi climbed atop a small boulder, his fingers playing with the strings of his boots.

" They'll be here soon." The Hybrid remarked offhandedly to his companions. " Sorry for dragging you along, your sister probably needs to rest up. This is... It's just really important to me."

As he exited, he found himself in a strange place, very different from his homeworld. He didn't know it, but he had entered the home of the Norse Gods.

Asgård.

The Realm Eternal had been quiet, which was a strange occurrence, as the Asgardians seemed to be in battle everyday. But today, there was no battle on the horizon, nor war, and so, the Asgardians rested. But in their rest, as always, they were wary, for Asgard and its All-Mother had collected too many enemies. At the moment, Valka was with Valveig, sparring with the now 20 yr old Asgardian. The passage of time upon Asgard was a strange thing, and Valka had determined that it would be so, and so it was, Valveig aging at a faster rate than most, but still with the pleasurable days of youth. Xylan arrived outside of the golden palace, and beholding him nigh-immediately, the Valkyries set out from their stations upon the palace walls in a quick trot, some leaping down and landing perfectly, spears held tightly, and yet, not threathingly. They had not responded to this stranger as they had to others in days past; though this one appeared to be either garbed in, or made completely out of some metal; for they knew that All-Seer Heimdall would not have allowed this stranger in if he posed a threat to Asgard. A captain of the Valkyrior stepped forward, spear in hand, hailing and questioning the stranger. "Hail, stranger! What brings thee to Asgard, Realm of the All-Mother? And who art thou?" she asked.

Sam
Sam walked into her room through the portal and approached her bed. She suddenly blushed furiously when she realized DeeDee was laying inside it, fast asleep. To make matters worse, the pile of clothes on the side of the floor indicated that she was nude under the blankets. Sam nearly froze in shock. She had no idea what to do. She wouldn't dare get into bed with DeeDee, especially when she was naked, but she needed a place to sleep. She then had an idea, remembering that John given DeeDee a room key to her own room. Sam moved quietly and began to search through DeeDee's clothes for the key, hoping not to wake DeeDee who was sleeping on the bed next to her.

"You have no idea how to land this thing!" Exclaimed Claudia. Ezika looked behind her at the swarm of fighter planes and sighed. They had escaped the planet, but now they were in for a whole new crock of

"No. I know how to make it go, but landing it has never been taught to me." She remarked. She swerved out of the way of a nearly unfortunate pidgeon. The enginees were on fire and she was having a hard time pulling up.

Claudia frowned, and then grabbed both Ezika and Tomia and held them tight, preparing to use her own body to sheild them from the crash. It would likely be at least a little painful for her, but she could think of any other way to keep them both safe. She looked at the screen, and noted how they were swiftly crashing into someone who looked strangely familiar. Claudia didn't have time to think about it until the starship hit the ground just behind the Saiyan, Slamming the red hulking figure down onto the ground with a painful crack.

Claudia got up, made sure the two girls were okay, before tearing the shuttle apart with her bare hands to get them out. The advanced metal didn't even prove to resist her any more than toilet paper would. She strode out, her clothes ruined as she coughed. Then she saw Hiroshi.

There was a pause as she seemed to freeze in place. Her eyes on the Saiyan.

Hiroshi:

Swallowing hard, Hiroshi met Claudia's eyes, her Amber orbs swirling with as many emotions as he imagined his golden ones were. Taking a few careful steps forward, the Halfling felt as if his limbs were made of lead, each step a mental and physical battle. Stopping a few good meters infront of her, Hiroshi felt two small arms wrap tightly around his waist, a small onyx haired girl burying her head in his side. Not as if the Saiyan-Kaioshin would've noticed, his entire body numb and cold, a chilling sweat developing on his brow.

Hey Claudia." Hiroshi managed, trying to keep his own voice in check, clearing his throat at least twice while he spoke. " Thanks for... I mean, I'm happy you're... Thanks for looking after Tomia."

Twisting his head downwards, he parted the matted locks of his daughter, her eyes looking hopefully up towards him, the golden orbs bloodshot and irritated, stains present on his flannel.

"I missed you... S-So much." She sobbed, her breath coming in ragged, hurried intervals." Miss C-Claudia watched me real closely while we were away."

With haste, his throat tightened again, his arms locking around her as he up, her face turning into the crook of his neck. He couldn't just see pain in her features, he could feel the sadness in her voice. She'd been waiting for him to save her... To take her out of that place.

"Yea, I know." Hiroshi whispered hoarsely, tears threatening to spill out of his own eyes, a whirlwind of emotions ripping through him. " I missed you too kiddo." Swallowing hard, he attempted to rein in his emotions, forcing an smile across his features.

" You kept her save right? She wasn't forced too.." The Hybrid paused, remembering to keep his voice in check when talking to the Red Woman. " She was save right?"
