Welcome to the Kingdom of Adlerreich, an insular state surrounded by the Beryl Sea, whose Capital City is Königsburg. You have just been elected as one of the 300 privileged representatives in the Federal Council, the monocameral chamber of the Kingdom. In a Constitutional Monarchy with a nearly powerless monarch, the true incumbent of power is the Federal Council, which has the power to create and vote bills, creating the laws of the Kingdom. Their other prerogative is to elect the Chancellor, the Head of Government of the Kingdom. The position of Chancellor is very craved for position, for the incumbent may appoint Ministers, represent the nation abroad and many other powers. The Chancellor is elected by your fellow representatives, including yourself. However, they may also dismiss a member from the Federal Council, which means you would better avoid having too many enemies.
Beware! In these opulent rooms, many would like to sit at your place and be in your shoes, and will do anything for that. In this Game of Politics, where secret arrangements, money under the table and backstabbings are of everyday life and power and influence prevail...will you survive? Will you be able to raise your voice beyond the others, pass the best bills and land as Chancellor, or will you return in tears to your constituency, dismissed from the Council? The answer is coming...

What you should know
-> Representatives can draft bills and elect the Speaker and the Chancellor, as well as vote motions of confidence or no confidence.
-> Motions of no confidence must be voted at a 2/3 supermajority. If passed, the Cabinet is dismissed.
-> Bills are debated voted at simple majority(50%+1 at least) in the Chamber thread.
->The Speaker is elected at simple majority First Past the Post at one turn.
->Upon election, the Speaker must abandon all party affiliations.
->The Speaker may not vote, unless the Federal Council comes to a tie, in which case the Speaker may break the tie.
-> Bill ideas are to be TG'ed to the Speaker, who may introduce them when there is no bill at debate or at vote in the Chamber. URGENT tagged bills are prior to regular bills.
->The Chancellor may appoint a Cabinet
-> The Chancellor is elected by the Federal Council, at simple majority in 2 turns. On second turn, the two candidates with the most votes stay and other candidates may transfer their votes to one or the other or none of the candidates.
Rules
*Several booing sounds arrive*. I know, but these guys have to come, just for us to play better. Anyway, they are quite simple:
1- Please respect other players. After all, it is because of them you have fun. An RP where you play alone is no fun, is it?
2- Please, no flawless characters. We all hate perfect people, and we don't want to see some invincible godmod. That's no fun either.
3- Listen to the OP and Co-OP. Otherwise, the game will become an anarchy/battlefield/warzone. This is not the goal of this RP.
4- You may go anywhere you like, including in your constituency. You may even invent it. However, be there for voting and debates please.
5-Please try to be as active as possible. Real life is always surprising, and many things can happen, but please try to be as active as possible without, on the other hand, neglecting Real life affairs (I don't want you to say it's my fault if you miss some exam because you were RP'ing).
6-Please make quality IC posts. I am not asking for a novel, but at least a good paragraph would be great. I can accept small OOC messages before or after an IC paragraph,but please keep general OOC in the OOC thread.
7-Please just don't spoil the game in general.
9-Oh, and have fun! Without fun, an RP is nothing.
