They still have to get everything in order, such as ensuring the ships and soldiers are battle ready and fully functional. So, it'll be be more like 30 minutes.

Just going to remind you that I did say that my fighter craft were attempting to capture a Birrin.

1) Your fighters are being stalked by Menelmacar's clairvoyant pilots.
2) That really only helps you synthesize a biological weapon, which is the last thing anyone wants and frankly will result in everyone dead. The Interventionists won't let you get away with genocide, and the Excidians would rather abandon the planet and live then kill off the Birrin and either inherit a dead world or die to foreign retribution.

And honestly, we have Birrin on our side. You could have asked for tissue samples and we would have gladly given you some.

Counterattack posted. The orbital battle looks fairly hopeless now, since Vilkia is probably lost, Apophan is probably lost, more than half my forces are lost, C'tan betrayed us, Hobbiest Republic is retreating, and Usea can't be counted on to actually kill anyone.

Basically, unless one or more of the interventionist forces decides to suddenly switch sides and/or attack their own team, we've lost the orbital battle.

The ground battle, however, is far from over.

The Brotherhood offers to arbitrate the process of surrender. Once the C'tani and others release their jamming, we'll call in as many medics as necessary to clean up this mess.

But, as I stated in the Picard speech I gave to Aeiouia, I doubt this war really helps the Birrin. They now have a bunch of space debris, and whatever freedoms they have gained (since it sounds like some of their nations were selling their own species as slaves) will leave them indebted to nations with far superior technology that might not be so magnanimous. Not to mention cleaning up whatever radiation is left from this battle.

No matter how badly the occupation ruined their lives, the following Reconstruction and subsequent interference from so many FT and PMT civilizations will/has irreparably changed their culture and destiny.

Regarding arbitration, the Menelmacari aren't going to go for that. If they have any sin, it is pride, and in any case they won't take well either to slights on their honor or a third party that didn't contribute to the victory horning in. (not attacking you here, but the bros didn't shoot anything.) The brotherhood is welcome to observe though, as are the Tinfecti and Aeiouians.

According to Wolfram Alpha the Menelmacari could close inside four minutes at full burn. They wouldn't have been going that fast in order to save delta v for evasive maneuvers, but ten minutes, maybe fifteen?

According to Wolfram Alpha the Menelmacari acceleration to turnaround took 37 minutes, so the stations were destroyed a little under an hour ago (they have not actually entered orbit yet, other than the fighters and missiles, which are faster, and the apps that jumped).

That is a lot longer than I imagined, for some reason. Definitely more than the 20 minutes I hoped for.

Not to mention the likely surface war that happened after that recovery ship was lost.
