To my knowledge, all forums but F7 up your post count due to the "game" threads in it.

TOSRS wrote:Posts made in this forum DO NOT add to your postcount. As far as your postcount is concerned, posts here don't exist. So posting absolutely pointless spam (IE: a thread of nothing but smilies, or the typical post-whoring "+1!") isn't allowed.

Yes, just make sure not to make your post not too garish or colorful.

You'll see in your message editor all the kinds of formatting tags available.

after being sufficiently bugged I added a little thing on recruitment TG's and a link to EWS's guide.

Uhh... quite a few of mine and my comrades forums have been locked, but we cannot understand why. Is there a reason for this, [or alternatively, because I know moderators do not like answering questions, can you point me in the direction of the thread that explains this feature]?

Moderators are happy to answer questions when the questions aren't answered in a prominent thread that everyone is asked to read. (Note: I'm not a mod, and I have no knowledge of whatever made you think that mods don't like questions, so I'm not trying to be snarky here. It's just that it sounds like you asked a common question, and got a link to the answer.)
Also, you may get a faster response by making a thread in Moderation.
If you claim to be religious but don’t control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless. Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you. | Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’

Badaboom.
What are Regional Officers?
Regional Officers are a new feature to NationStates that enables the Founder and or Delegate (if the Delegate is executive) to, well, delegate (pun intended) their power to subordinates, or 'regional officers'. The powers are as follows:
  • Executive - This is the final executive authority. It only lies in the Founder and Delegate (if delegate is executive) and can not be given out.
  • World Assembly - Regional voting power on World Assembly resolutions. Reserved exclusively to a regions Delegate.
  • Appearance - Change the regions flag/world factbook entry.
  • Border Control - Eject/Ban & eject members from a region, and set/remove a regional password. (Should be noted Regional Officers need 2x the influence of a delegate to ban/eject someone)
  • Embassies - Accept requests, close, and make requests with other regions for embassies.
  • Communications - Send regional TG's without stamps/ect and suppress RMB messages.
  • Polls - Lord Codger has blessed you, you may set/remove regional polls!

Any nation may have up to 12 regional officers, and the powers of a regional officer are retained into they are dismissed. It does not take any influence to appoint or dismiss a Regional Officer as a Delegate/Founder.

I admittedly haven't been paying much attention to how this has been developing, so if I got anything terribly wrong let me know.

Thanks to Ramaeus for being far smarter on this than me.

Executive is needed to appoint/dismiss RO's.
Appearance also includes tags.
Double influence applies to *all* actions.
Deny embassies as well.
IIRC at present time Comms also has something to do with recruitment TG's.

You can't send image through TG. What you can do is send the link of the image. Just make sure the image is online somewhere.

Recruitment Telegram Issue

Postby Ethoniaa » Sat Nov 14, 2015 10:24 pm

I am unsure of where to go for help, so i'm asking here.

Im struggling to get any recruitment for my region done as any time I try to send recruitment telegrams it says to me, "Ethoniaa has not been authorized to recruit for The Coalition of Independent States." Yet I am the founder, WA Delegate, and a recruitment officer, but it still will not allow me to send any recruitment telegrams to anybody. What's the big deal?

Have you checked the Regional Control Page's recruitment settings?

I decided to finally put the question of the name of this FAQ up to vote, because it's really far outgrown its name as the 'Technical' FAQ - It's more or less a expanded version of the original game FAQ.

Feel free to vote for whatever.

I would argue that it is an FAQ dealing with technical information, still, as compared to say, WA rules, issue submission, getting nations stats to go up/down, or How to Gameplay. It's a more general game/forums FAQ with a couple oddball questions as well.
