I'm planning on dropping 10-20kg (over a couple years). I'm somewhat under obese, but most of my fat is waist fat, which is the bad stuff, and it's a bit of a worrying health issue because I have poor respiratory health.

Main priority right now is improving diet, and improving my exercise, both of which sort of screwed themselves when I started losing sleep this semester.

Ah, I see. If it's a health concern then I understand why you want to drop some weight even though your weight seems optimal for your height.

Oh, well, when I say under obese, I mean I'm on the upper level of overweight according to BMI. BMI is pretty inaccurate for people of extreme height, but my body type is high in belly fat.

Perhaps it's just me, but feels like games lost some sort of artistry after shift from 2D sprite to 3d polygons. Or perhaps that wanna-be-artistic outlook was used as a crutch for lack of imagination for gameplay in those Ye Olde games.

I feel that if anything the switch from 2d to 3d made them more artistic in my opinion.

The fact you can make more accurate representations of a character is always a good thing.

Perhaps it's just me, but feels like games lost some sort of artistry after shift from 2D sprite to 3d polygons. Or perhaps that wanna-be-artistic outlook was used as a crutch for lack of imagination for gameplay in those Ye Olde games.

I feel that if anything the switch from 2d to 3d made them more artistic in my opinion.

The fact you can make more accurate representations of a character is always a good thing.

I think the issue comes down to aesthetic preferences, really. 3D realism looks downright incredible, but if you're doing something abstract or odd, like the Grim Fandango or the like, 2.5D or 2D can give artists more time to work on creativity and imagination, over modelling a spatially logical world.
