Sure... According to Gizmos and Gadgets, you have exactly 100 Birrin ex-slaves, 50 male and 50 female.

Additionally, you are supposing that in a few months (the time in my canon between your purchase and this current stage of the war) you not only determined the genetic code of a non-DNA based being, but also was able to manipulate it to extent that you could tweak its maturity rate and clone it?

The combined value of the ships that are going to be lost here will probably exceed the GDP of the planet they're fighting over, while the stray fire will cook whatever natives are left over anyway. We've gone beyond 'send some chaps to slap those slavers about a bit' into 'basically a full blown war.' I'd suggest that perhaps 'contributions' be limited to something more on scale with a conflict between corporate mercenaries and government enforcement agencies, rather than full-blown military responses to what is, ultimately, a very minor incident in a galaxy full of lovecraftian terrors that eat more populous planets than this on a daily, if not hourly, basis.

And yes, please go ahead and start the RP.

I'm quite happy to reduce the scale of the involvement to a smaller taskforce of say, one capital ship with a dozen or so escort vessels and support craft, (these are quite beefy ships mind you) but obviously that depends on how other people feel about this suggestion.

I don't think it's disproportionate at all. We've got 126 Combat Vessels coming out of the Imperium, the rest being Troopships and Escort, and 70 vessels of nonspecific description, each coming out of Allanea and Menelmacar. If anything, 30 ships is quite a small response.

Of course, if that is correct, the Coalition would not know that IC, but The C'tan would, and sending in even 30 ships when the starship numbers are already on the Chriiran side might be disproportionate.

If that is the case, you might want to Plot-Device Ex Machina some Excidian Mercenaries into the fight, just to keep things Interesting.

Well, if the entirety of Tachyon Corp is betting its entire existence on conquering the Birrin, they may not have the strongest business sense.
On another note, this is why the Imperium deals with all this sort of deal at the Government Level. You can't run a Government out of Business!
Excidium Planetis wrote:On the other hand, I was kind of hoping I could extend a business partnership to the Vaskkil...
That can be arranged. Access to consistent production facilities, and Technology is quite desirable for some of the Hive Worlds, and they might be willing to sell 'acquired' Vessels to G&G for Resale.

Gizmos and Gadgets doesn't actually produce anything (well, they now manufacture Hoverbike, but only on Chri-irah and only for this war), and they have trillions of credits, so they won't go out of business either. The other companies could theoretically bust their budget in this war, but Nucleon actually has very few assets here (they own one of the Warp Ships, and they have a particle accelerator and several nuclear reactors on the planet), and Alien Skies Mining and Perelandran Armaments are pretty vast corporations.

And since our ships cannot be boarded, it would probably take some time for the Vasskil to drive us away. Though, it should be noted that we will probably leave eventually on our own, since we are in the process of slowly abandoning our star systems.
But, due to the fact that we still have a presence in the area, we would probably detect Excidium trying to make an offer like this if it were to happen, and give the Vasskil a counter-offer.
