A massive fleet of battleships in a arrow formation were inbound full bore for the eastern coastal Arabic nation of Karifistan.The nation itself in size is comparable to Saudi Arabia due to the fact that it has untold amounts of oil and along with Kuwait,Saudi Arabia,and Venezuela is marked down as a leading distributor of oil.It is an Emirate with large populations and the average person is well off.It had a Capitalist government and a military force rival to that of Syria,many Karifi Sheiks hold properties and businesses in nations across the world from Germany to the USA.

This massive battle fleet is of Atzera's navy,Prime Minister Davor Klimov on seeing the worlds lackidasical responses to Atzera's operations in the Philippines Incident shows that Atzera is a nation to be feared and the world does just that he believes.So he has launched an invasion of Karifistan to not only seize oil and other resources for Atzera but to show that Atzera will not be denied.While many of his Senior Brass thought this a risky move he disregarded them and gave the orders.Admiral Kola Petrenko and General Gagarin Puskov are commanding the invasion force.

The Nation of Warfare has been called up to arms by its ally The United States of America. The U.S. has sent warnings to Atzera, but Atzera failed to comply. President Frank Velasquez III and First Lady Edith Gonzalez have ordered for military intervention in Karifistan. Nation of Warfare has planned to deploy over 119,000 troops, deploying at least 2,000 a week with armoured fighting vehicles and support from the Navy and Air Force.

The Nation of Warfare has donated over $375,000,000 NSD in International Aid to Karifistan. President Frank Velasquez III has urged for the Air force to commence bombing campaigns against Atzera. The Navy to do the same, but also to blockade military aid from its ally The Rogue Nation of The Siberian Express. The Marine Corps will also order 109,000 of its marines to land in Karifistan and surround enemy positions from all sides.

We encourage more nations to join our Coalition forces to dominate the Tyranny of Atzera and prevent him from taking over the world. We are still trying to comply with Atzera, but as of now is unsuccessful.

The small helicopter touched down lightly on the helipad outside Tal Hochburg Military Base, the focal point for all military operations in Capilean Ethiopia. Brigadier General Kurt Doppler stepped out. He was a short man, but with a hot temper. He was, however, a very good general, and he was here to take command. A small line of timid young petty officers waited for him. "Herr General, I did not know that-" the young captain was quickly cut off. "I want your commanding officer. Now!" Doppler barked. "Yes, herr General," he managed to stutter out. He quickly scrambled away, and within the minute a bumbling, fat old colonel walked out of the concrete building. "Oh, herr general! I had no idea-" Doppler shoved him aside. "You are dismissed, Colonel Steiner. Your appointment here has seen nothing but corruption and mismanagement. I am here to take command, so make yourself scarce." With that, Kurt walked into the command room and began giving orders.

Within the hour the 1st and 2nd Afrika Korps, 160,000 strong, were moving towards Karifistan. This message was sent to their government:

SMALL BRIDGE CHECK POINT NORTH OF THE NEARBY BEACHES

The bridge was large and sturdy,it extended over a deep ravine,that was about a hundred feet deep.
The bridge checkpoint consisted of a barracks,a radio tower and station,a fuel depot,a mess hall and a Command Center.
This checkpoint sat on the far side of the bridge,with fence gating,a guard tower and two .50 Calibre gun emplacements.
The CO exited the mess hall,a cup of coffee in his hands,as he sipped he heard a loud whooshing noise and looked up.
Two Atzeran MiGs came screaming down and fired two missiles each,which slammed into the MG emplacements blasting them to hell.
Just after two T-72 tanks with forty Atzeran infantry came rushing over the hill before the checkpoint.
Alarms went off and the tanks blasted apart the gate,twenty Karifi soldiers with Ak-47's came rushing forward and began firing away full bore,four Atzeran troops fell dead,the rest hit the dirt and began returning fire.
The tanks blazed away with their MG's and cut down all the Karifi soldiers,three more came forward,one bore an RPG-7,he fired,the heavy round slammed into one of the tanks,the explosion killed the gunner and damaged the tank.
The Atzeran troops moved forward,blasting away with their AK's killing the last three defenders.

In the radio building the CO radioed to the base near Al-Zafar,a city not far away.
Just then he heard gunshots and a dead Karifi soldier crashed through the door.
An Atzeran soldier entered the room,with his gun raised,followed by three more.
The CO stepped away from the radio hands raised.
The Atzeran troops retrained him and drug him out.
Outside the Karifi banner was torn from the flagpole,Atzeran MiGs flew overhead,Atzeran forces came rolling over the hill across the bridge.
Troops were securing buildings while the vehicles broke formation spreading out.
The Atzeran flag was raised to the top of the flagpole.
The Karifi CO shoved down to the ground before an Atzeran Officer,the CO spoke,"This is madness,for Gods sake how can you do this!?We're a Capitalist Democracy!The people decide!"
The Atzeran officer drew his Makarov,"Democracy has no place in war.Just as capitalism has no place in the world."
The CO's eyes bulged,before he could continue,the Atzeran raised his Makarov and shot him between the eyes,killing him.

A Red Air Force base in Central Asia (Turkmen SSR) is scrambled to deploy a bombing mission to Karifistan. Six squads take off from the base, each squad containing up to six jets armed full of scatter bombs to attack Kurifistani positions, assuring to batter any and all resistance to the Atzerian advance. The jets take off and begin flying toward Karifistan. As they begin nearing the nation, recon planes deliver key Karifistani military positions to the bombers. Intel suggests there are at least five Karifistani positions in the North of the country. Bases and camps mostly make up what the soviets know about the positions. The jets head toward the bases. Upon arriving to enemy positions, the jets unleash a storm of scatter bombs and strike the Karifistani troops. As they fly away, they leave behind them the bases, torched in fire.

Red Army Divisions six and nine take positions along the Soviet-polish border. Division six consists of ~90,000 troops, 164 Armata tanks, and 354 armored vehicles of other sorts. Division nine consists of ~60,000 troops, ~200 Armatas, and 231 other armed vehicles. The Soviet government assures the international community that they are there for defense purposes only and will not be used for a first strike against NATO. The Soviet forces stationed will however, be used for response against NATO aggression towards Communist nations around the globe.

The Nation of Warfare Navy Aircraft Carrier UMS St. Ramos launches 8 F-18 Hornets. There has been intel from satellite images spotting Atzeran forces crossing into Karifistan. Soon, each F-18 would drop at least two JDAM bombs against the sturdy bridge and prevent forces from crossing. The bomb striking the middle, hitting a Atzeran military convoy marching Karifistan.

The Marine Corps has begun its, landing in a unoccupied beach. The 1,250 Marines land in a small town of Tripoli. The Marines have constructed a small joint command center in the town. Runways were constructed to allow allies to land aircraft. F-35s would start landing from Amphibious assault ships. They will begin, commencing airstrikes soon.

The Army is expected to arrive soon with its first round of 3,000 troops.

The Republic of Navian has declared war on Atzera and its allies. Navian has urged for over 132,000 troops to be deployed as soon as possible. The Navian Navy has ordered 3 of its finest carrier fleets to carry out bombing campaigns in Karifistan. We pledge full support to Nation of Warfare, The United States of America, and Nova Capile. We won't stop until enemy forces end there operations from invading and stealing oil from someone who has claimed it. We have been using an offensive military tactic that may work against an enemy force.

QUAESAR,KARIFISTAN CAPITAL CITY

Although the Nation Of War managed to destroy the bridge to the Southwest the spearhead of Atzeran forces had already crossed,although without direct reinforcement.
They had plowed through the small villages on the way,resulting in 3000 civilian casualties.
And now they were besieging Quaesar the Karifi capital city.

SEVERAL HOURS INTO BATTLE

Atzeran troops were covering behind crashed cars on an overpass in downtown Quaesar,exchanging fire with Karifi troops at the far end who were covering behind a overturns semi.Bullets streaked and pinged off of vehicles,an Atzeran with an RPK-74 rose up and blazed away,only to take a bullet in the head.In turn a grenade was thrown,when exploding,it killed three Karifi troops.
Three Kasatkas were flying between a line of skyscrapers,spraying them with heavy rounds from their side MG's,Karifi troops inside fired RPK's and .50 Calibres from balconies and windows as return fire at the choppers.
Down below an Atzeran tank column rolled down the freeway through town,all through the city explosions and endless gunfire could be heard.
As the shooting escalated the Emir activated his personal emergency beacon.

Heading down a small street was a blue limo,which moved slowly through the now bombed and damaged streets.
As it turned a corner it faced a roadblock,which ten Atzeran infantry were behind.
"That's the Emirs vehicle!"Called the sergeant.
The infantry unloaded with their AK'-47s,the windshield shattered and the driver slumped down dead in his seat.
The Emir took cover in the back seat as his three guards clumb out armed with MP5's and began returning fire.

With Naval F-18s trying to keep up with Atzeran forces. Hornets had dropped more JDAM bombs on an overpass where Atzeran forces were clashing with Karifi forces. The overpass would then collapse causing the Atzeran forces to try finding another route to continue. Naval F-18s and Marine F-35s would use a military tactic called "Pincer", which the fighter jets would flank forces from two sides dropping anti-tank missiles and JDAM bombs.

Marines are on the move, heading towards Quesar and try to combat Atzeran troops on the ground, but are over 6 hours away.

The Soviet 4th Black Sea Fleet prepares the last of its ships. All vessels have been refueled, loaded with maximum firepower, air support, and sailors. The fleet casts off and leaves the base, sailing out into the Black Sea. The fleet contains 26 Destroyers, 6 Corvettes, 5 Nuclear Submarines, and 2 Aircraft Carriers. The two carriers have a combined air power of 62 Fighter Aircraft and 16 Long range bombers. Their destination classified. Sailing through the Black Sea, they encounter no difficulties on the journey. Even passing through Galipoli, a territory of the Soviets long time rival, Turkey, the fleet makes it into the Mediterranean. The fleet soon reaches a distance of 200 miles from Karifistan.

The Soviet 4th fleet sails close to the coast of the Karifistani coastal city, and the air force deploys. 10 Fighter Jets armed to the teeth with scatter bombs. They fly from their carriers and begin bombing the city, where Karifistani military positions were preparing to go to the capital to defend their nation. The bombardment destroys entire blocks of the city, battering enemy defense forces. AA gun fire nearly downed a Soviet fighter, however bombing continued.

From the fleet off the coast, landing craft begin to deploy from the carriers and transport ships. Carring a force of 90,000 troops, the landing amphibious landing crafts approach the shore. Upon landing, they deploy their troops, who land on the beaches armed with AK-74's and other Soviet manufactured guns. They begin to take up positions at the Northern front of the city. Karifistani resistance puts up a fight, slowing Soviet advancement, however proving ineffective once Soviet Armata's show up to destroy their positions.

Navy F-18s had intercepted Soviet fighter jets shooting Air to Air Missiles and firing their cannons, downing over 6 confirmed planes. Marines F-35s had claimed 4 planes to be shot down. They continue their bombing campaign in Quesar where Armata MBTs were bombs were dropped, and is sure to hit the target successfully, but satellite images had spotted Armatas moving around with minor damages.

All three of the Emir's guards fell dead.
The ten Atzeran troops approached the limo,Emir Jabar Miswar slowly clumb out with his hands raised.Two troops held him against the limo restraining him.
"This is Sergeant Kirelenko,we've captured the Emir,we need a help lift out if these streets."The Sergeant spoke into his radio.
Minutes later one of the Kasatkas touched down and the Emir and the troops all piled in and the chopper lifted off.
Atzeran GECKO AA vehicles moved into the open highways in the city and began marking targets,minutes later AA missiles were whisking off into the skies.
The Atzeran column had broke formation and began spreading through the city to secure it.
The remaining Karifi forces were regrouping at the civil airport to launch a counter attack.

An advisor walked through the halls, a distressed look on his face. He approached the fine oak wood door of the President's office. A golden place on the door read, "Tristov Miklinnin, President". Politely, he knocked on the door.

"Enter." The President said while standing behind his desk. The advisor entered to see President Miklinnin staring out the window.

"Sir, bad news from Karifistan." He said.
"*sigh*, what is it?" Miklinnin replied.
"Nation of Warfare planes shot down six of our fighters. It is confirmed, they have outright attacked the Soviet Union." He said. Miklinnin's hand covered his forehead, the other on his hip. This was disastrous. It could end up being the complete clash of West and East, over such a small nation. A war over oil.

"Get me the Defense Ministry. And call up Senator Pushkin, things are about to get, messy." President Miklinnin said.

Admiral Yonanovich was sitting calm in his chair on the bridge of the Reznov, the command ship and main carrier of the fleet. He received a call on his ship phone, a line usually reserved for calls from Moscow. He picked it up. He was told by a Kremlin Defense advisor that the Soviet Union was going to declare war in the Nation of Warfare and all allies, in response to unprovoked attacks on Soviet fighters, not engaged with NOW forces. The admiral ordered his ship on high alert.

Northern Coast of Karifistan

Soviet positions were ordered to withdraw from the front lines, and move as far back as possible from the city. They did so in a timely manner. Confused Karifistani forces regained control of the surrendered areas. As they flooded in to regain control, Soviet DSV submarines surfaced less than a mile off the coast. 2 DSV's armed with a barrage of surface to surface ballistic missiles, unleashed a hell storm. Missiles rained down on Karifistani positions, killing hundreds of enemy troops. At the same time, the carriers in the fleet fired Surface to Air missiles, targeting Nation of Warfare planes in the area. After 19 minutes of missile and SAM fire, the city was in ruin and 4 enemy aircraft were confirmed hit.

The Navy was on high alert, from incoming strikes from Soviet forces. 4 Arleigh Burke Class Guided Missile Destroyers had launched Harpoon Anti-Ship Missiles against Soviet Naval forces in the Northern coast of Karifistan. As missiles launched, one destroyer had been hit from a enemy missile. Damaging starboard side of the ship. Soon, it will be confirmed that a hit was made.

With the N.O.W. holding off the enemy, the U.S. Navy had launched its payload of airstrikes. Guided Missile Destroyers and Cruisers had launched Tomahawk cruise missiles on enemy forces in the capital city of Quesar. Destroyers had also launched Anti-Ship missiles against Soviet naval ships.

A few hundred Karifistani citizens cheered as the Capileans began to march through the city's streets, waving Karifi flags and shouting wildly. It was a tiny town to headquarter 160,000 troops, but it was the only major city that the Capileans could march to. The two korps set out building airfields and barracks while the officers made plans in the city hall. Right now, the Capileans had the numbers to go on the offensive, and it was decided that they would use their brute strength to force the enemy back up against the coast. If needed there were many more troops that could be pulled over to liberate Karifistan. The 3rd and 4th Afrika Korps(160,000), 1st Middle East Korps(40,000), and the 1st and 2nd India Korps plus the Ghurka Korps(240,000). That was just colonial forces in the vicinity. Nova Capile had just recently mobilized its entire army, and called for 3 million volunteers(because of the threat of WW3); the pool of resources it had were almost limitless.

75 fighter jets soared through the sky. They radioed ahead to their allies in Tripoli to let them know the were coming. They were to meet with their allies forces and give them whatever support they needed. The Capilean navy has also been dispatched to help out. The 1st Carrier Gruppe(guys, see my Military Corps factbook for info on the strength of my different units) has harbored in the Suez Canal, and is currently getting ready to depart for the coast of Karifistan. 120 fighter jets(including the ones headed to Tripoli) have been sent to Karifistan.

General Doppler lets the other allies know that the Capilean forces will work with them with full cooperation to liberate the country.

News of the United States Navy firing on Soviet ships came in. The Soviet generals were astonished. They never thought the United States would actually fire on Soviet military positions. This small, minuscule oil war in Karifistan was now about to turn into World War III. The Soviet Defense Forces entered Defense Protocol 1, which called for the immediate preparation for all out war. The forces in Eastern Europe were ordered to prepare for a strike against NATO as soon as they were given the word. Soviet President Tristov Miklinnin immediately sent a message to President Barack Obama of the United States.

Your forces, as well as the forces of your allies have declared war on the Soviet Union. Do you comprehend the fact that this means all out war between the world's superpowers? I do not believe you do. Well, the USDSR will not stand for the negligence of your nation and your allies. The world shall know the Soviet might, and when Mutually Assured Destruction comes, the world will blame the West as it burns. Soviet 4th Black Sea Fleet

The DSV class subs engaged Magnetohydrodynamic Drive, or commonly known as Caterpillar Drive. They submerged and silently, hidden from sonar, approached enemy ships. As two of them drifted beneath the American fleet, and two more drifted beneath the Nation of Warfare fleet, they stopped in their position and opened their upper weapon deployment hatches. Water-tight seals kept the subs from flooding subs, as torpedo chambers opened beneath carriers in each fleet.

Torpedoes facing straight up fired out from the chambers of the subs. For a split second, a massive blip came onto the sonars of enemy ships as each sub fired two torpedoes each into different ships in the enemy fleets. The next second, water exploded up the sides of American and Nation of Warfare ships. The torpedoes had shot directly up into the central hull of the vessels, flooding lower compartments and inflicting catastrophic damages onto the affected ships. Alarms sounded, and the Submarines quietly slipped away before any depth charges could be dropped.

In the distance, Soviet Destroyers began firing on the American and NOW fleets.
