I like what Eras has so far; I know a lot of us groan about the machinegun smilies, but a couple of wacky ones can't hurt. I reaaaally like that facepalm one posted earlier, too XD

Oh god. I know they might not be badin General or the WA forums, but in II gun smileys are just... ugh... A Bad Idea(TM). Devil smileys kinda stink there too, but they haven't reached the level that the gun smileys on the jolt boards did.

And yeah, I like the first facepalm too.

I'm of the view smily use should be kept minimal. We need conventional smilies, to represent a conventional range of emoticons, like and and and so forth, but let's not overdo it with giant animated smily monsters.
