My original posts suggests Guppy, I have also since suggested Satellite.

The percentage distribution of Influence in TNP (for example) will not be substantially changed by adding another level to the nomenclature. TNP decided that they wanted to have every nation possible join the WA and then have every nation swap as much as possible (of course still within the offsite governments mandated limits) so this is the end result, lots of nations with relatively high SPDR numbers but still generally at the same level as the bulk of the rest of the WA nations.

Again, why worry about adding another level to the nomenclature when it does not actually address the problem so much as delay it?

In the original post I point out how vast the difference is between the influence level of our more influential Minnows and our least influential Minnows.
If we add even one more level, I imagine it would be quite some time, if ever, before TNP stopped having any nations with it.

Pierconium wrote:Right, but what is the actual purpose of an additional level if the effective Influence strength remains equivalent? There are a lot of nations in TNP with SPDR of 200-400 and a lot of nations with SPDR of 50-60 but the differentiation between the two in a practical sense within TNP is minuscule because of the Influence structure that region has decided to maintain. If TNP's total SPDR is higher because of the increased swapping then the effective percentage of each nation, while having a higher empirical number, remains essentially the same as a GCR with lower overall SPDR which maintains more or less the same level of distribution.
That said, I just don't see the point. Perhaps if there is another example outside of TNP where this could be shown to be of some practical benefit? Just wondering.

Any region with a great number of nations will have the vast majority of their nations as Minnows. In many cases, this is even true for some very influential nations. Adding more ranks would make the rank have more meaning for nations on the lower end.
Nations with 200-400 SPDR have far more influence than nations with 50-60 SPDR within a region.

Before anyone gets exited: the change influences nations ranked Below Vassal only, but due to a rework of the math behind it, all nations' Influence descriptors will be reevaluated.
