IMO a tight-grouping shotgun is the best anti-zombie weapon without resorting to explosives. You want to be ripping off or shredding limbs and destroying muscles so they can't keep chasing you, and a shotgun will do that better than a rifle. You don't have to worry about range too much unless your zombies are Special Zombies that can use ranged weapons of their own.

Well the cartridge could originally be from a small field gun or something. Then when tanks come around it was given an AP projectile and put in a lighter and smaller weapon. I don't think it's too bad that Fordorsia's first AT rifle is essentially a small field gun.

Is this compensation for being unable to kill tanks with the AT rifle in RO2?

It looks pretty torchlike to me tbh. I don't think there's anything you can do, unless you want to add a shallow rim on the front around the light itself, but that's optional and I think it would look worse.

I'll just have it as its own thing then. It would be plausible to go for a large cartridge and casing over the more common small but super fast rifle bullets, right? I mean it could cause a lot more damage to treads and shit, if it couldn't go straight through whatever armour it hit.

I'm almost finished with an "anti-hooliganism device" in keeping with a recently approaching seasonal festival that seems to be a "Hurr durr gonna do stupid shit" night for ne'er-do-wells and other undesirables. This actually pertains to the topic, because I'll be damned if a mildly Polynesian/Haida inspired war club made out of two-year seasoned hickory wouldn't split a skull. Just fire bake the edge, wrap some leather or grip-tape round' your whittled or sanded down handle and voila, instant headbuster.

If mortars are artillery, why mortarmen then wear their training/trade badge/insignia over infantry green, rather than artillery red?

Physiology of the undead was a legit topic of conversation at work a few times.

Conclusion was neural synapses need to be severed; spine is a good pick.

Also a shotguns can't sever limbs under normal conditions generally.
