1 - What is the legal drinking age? 16 if you have someone buy it for you, 18 to buy it on your own, although there is no laws against a child having a glass of wine at mealtimes and it is considered common and normal

2 - Driving age? You can apply for a licence at 17 but won't get it until you're 18, in any case “road safety” is a joke.

3 - Age of sexual consent? 16 officially, although in rural areas where life expectancy is a lot lower someone may be married with a family as young as 12- this is uncommon and illegal in the cities.

4 - Voting age? the voting age is 25 for both genders.

5 - At what age would someone become an adult (free from parental control)? - 18

6 - What types of recreational drugs (if any) are legal? - Alcohol and tobacco. Even though the government has an “understanding” with the drug growers, they don't sell their wears (excluding alcohol and tobacco they can see that all they like) in the country and keep down organised crime, the government will cover their back, supply them and help with transportation.

-Pot – Illegal.

- Tobacco – Legal and very popular, around 64% of the adult urban population can be classified as addicts or dependant.

- Cocaine - Illegal

-Alcohol – Legal and popular but as people grow up with relaxed alcohol laws “binge drinking” is virtually unknown.

- LSD – Illegal

- Caffeine – Not even considered a drug.

- Heroin - Illegal

- Other? N/A

7 - Can people have guns? Yes. By law all citizens are required to be at least competent with firearms and the use of guns is taught in schools, people can apply for a licence to carry firearms at the age of 16.

8 - What is the official full name of your country? The Republic of Fictions
-What is the informal name? Fictions
What are people of your nation called? Fictin, Fictionals, Fictonian, Fictionese (all have been used at some point)

9 - Do you have the death penalty? Yes.

10 - What is the speed limit? Trying to put a speed limit in the cities is like trying to put smoke detectors in hell. Officially it varies from area to area but who really listens to that?

11 - What types of religions would are permitted or restricted? Fictions is a Christian country. However recently a religions freedoms act was passed and now people can practice religions that have been acknowledged by the state (mainstream religions and some denominations) however unacknowledged religions and those considered to be a cult are illegal.

Which of the following are be legal:

12- Porn – Legal for anyone 18 or over, but the porn industry is HEAVILY monitored to make sure there is no abuse and all is voluntary, and specialised “fetish” are illegal, only generic is allowed.

13-Prostitution – Prostitution is a legal profession but people have to register as a prostitute as the penalty for being an “illegal” prostitute is very harsh

14-Polygamy/Polyandry/Polyamory – Legal

15-Homosexuality – Illegal.

16-Stem cell research – Legal and state sponsored

17-Human Cloning – Legal but heavily regulated

18-Cock Fighting? There are no laws against it.

19-Slavery? Illegal

20-Hunting? There are no laws against it.

21-Fishing – The main food source comes from fishing, fishing as a profession is common.

22-Eating meat? Legal and people find it a crazy idea that someone would make it illegal.

23-Littering? No laws against it.

24-Unisex bathrooms? That's crazy talk! Men have bathrooms, women have bathrooms and they do not share unless it's in private homes!

25-Suicide? - This is complicated, Suicide in itself dishonours the rest of your family (and if you survive, yourself too) and “euthanasia” is illegal HOWEVER suicide bombings, kamikaze attacks and taking your own life for your country is not only accepted but is considered a good thing and heroic.

26 - Gay marriage? - Illegal

27-Abortion – Legal up to the first trimester, if you have written consent from two doctors after undergoing a full psyche evaluation or your life is in danger. You must have a valid reason for wanting an abortion and regulations are very strict. It is never a form of contraception.

28- What types of sexual activity (if any) are illegal ? Sodomy, rape, Incest, pedophilla, BDSM and all other fetishes.

29-Is your country's/culture clothing optional or mandatory? Totally Optional, on a day-to-day basis it is most common in rural areas whereas in urban areas a more "western" style of clothing is preferred, that being said most people will have at least one outfit which is traditional although it is mainly worn on special occasions.

30-Do you have obscenity laws? That's the job of the parent not the state.

31-What system do you have for taxes?
- Income tax? Changing depending on the economic situation.

31aSales tax? Varies from product to product

31bImport/Export tax? Varies on the product and where it is going to or coming from.

32-What is the criterion for someone to pass to become a citizen? You have to have been born in the country, 1st and 1.5th generation immigrants can NEVER become citizens. And even if you are born in the country you can only apply at 25 and have to pass a test. People of some nationalities are not allowed to become citizens ever.

33-What types of people do you allow (or not allow) into your country? Immigrating to Fictions is ridiculously hard, you have to be skilled and employable, pass an entry test, be fluent in the language and even then you may be rejected. If your from a country has been blacklisted then you can forget about even visiting the place for a vacation let alone moving there.

34-What type of government are you? Conservative Democracy

35-To what degree is your government allowed to censor or restrict the media? Censorship is not regulated. It is still common even in the democracy even though it does not happen quite as much as it used to.

36-Aside from laws - what sort of unofficial (and unenforced) cultural rules and traditions do you have? Too many to name, if you want to read them go here:
http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p ... ostcount=2

The Outer Dominions of the Citadel

A note - practically all of these vary between different Dominions, since (for example) Agravin is feudal, Ruzhanya is Stalinist, Verzanya is corporatist, Greymark is democratic, Karcharis is a monarchy and so on and so forth. And there are Dominions I'm forgetting about or haven't made up yet which aren't mentioned here.

1 - What is the legal drinking age? Generally above puberty; the developed Dominions, which largely operate as a bloc, have set it at eighteen by common consensus. Agravin has no restrictions, as the water used to be largely unpotable and beer was safer. In Greater Ephaera it is illegal to imbibe intoxicants without internal filtration implants.

2 - Driving age? Again, generally above puberty; the developed bloc has set learner's licenses at sixteen and full licenses at eighteen. Agravin has no motor vehicles by royal decree, and in Greater Ephaera manual driving licenses are granted on a case-by-case basis, and may not be used on public roads, where the traffic computers have control of individual vehicles.

3 - Age of sexual consent? Above puberty by mandate of the Outer Council. Sixteen in the developed bloc. Note that the age of marriage varies, as in some Dominions - Karcharis, Karhallon, Old Sarioch, Agravin, and parts of the Kiran Reaches - marriage is used to seal social compacts, and the age of the participants is immaterial.

4 - Voting age? Varies; many Dominions are not democracies. In Ruzhanya the voting age is 21, but this is rubber-stamping for the Party; in Verzanya the voting age is sixteen, but this is rubber-stamping for the corporate oligarchy. The median age is eighteen.

5 - At what age would someone become an adult (free from parental control)? Varies; in Old Sarioch only marriage into another family (for women) or the death of one's father (for men) free one from filial duty. The developed bloc has set the age of emancipation at eighteen, with several rights accruing earlier.

6 - What types of recreational drugs (if any) are legal? Most intoxicants are legal in Greater Ephaera only if one has filtration systems installed, and in the United Socialist Concord all intoxicants count as suicide due to the nature of their cyborg nutrient systems. The Technogenic Pale has no laws against intoxicants but in practice its citizenry universally eschews them.

-Pot Varies. Legal in most of the developed bloc, as well as in Verzanya, the Kiran Reaches, and Karhallon; illegal in Ruzhanya.

- Tobacco Legal in most of the developed bloc. Illegal only in Karcharis, Greater Ephaera, and Western Ephaera, but generally heavily taxed elsewhere.

- Cocaine Illegal throughout the Outer Dominions by Outer Council mandate, including Greater Ephaera due to pressure applied by other states.

-Alcohol Legal throughout the Outer Dominions.

- LSD Illegal throughout the Outer Dominions by Outer Council mandate, including Greater Ephaera due to pressure applied by other states.

- Caffeine Legal throughout the Outer Dominions.

- Heroin Illegal throughout the Outer Dominions by Outer Council mandate, including Greater Ephaera due to pressure applied by other states. Opium is widely grown in the Kiran Reaches, however.

- Other? Neural electrical stimulation is used as a recreational pleasure in Greater Ephaera, the United Socialist Concord, and occasionally in the Technogenic Pale. It is not widespread elsewhere due to the necessity of neurosurgery to facilitate it.

7 - Can people have guns? Varies. Illegal in Ruzhanya, Verzanya, Agravin, Old Sarioch, Western Ephaera, Greater Ephaera, and Karhallon; limited to nobility in Karcharis; entirely unrestricted in the Kiran Reaches and the United Socialist Concord; legal with proper cause in Greymark and much of the developed bloc; legal elsewhere. Technically legal in the Technogenic Pale but generally restricted to militia members by custom.

8 - What is the official full name of your country? What is the informal name? What are people of your nation called The Outer Dominions of the Citadel; the Citadel; various subnational entities have their own names. As a supranational entity there is no single adjectival form for Dominion citizens, although "Dominioners" could be used; people usually identify with their individual Dominion rather than the Outer Dominions as a whole.

9 - Do you have the death penalty? Mostly yes, but not in Greater Ephaera, Western Ephaera, the United Socialist Concord, Greymark, the Technogenic Pale, or Achuria.

10 - What is the speed limit? The developed bloc has set it at 100kmph, a limit which is widely emulated. The Kiran Reaches has no speed limit, and Old Sarioch and Agravin technically have no speed limits but also have no motor vehicles.

11 - What types of religions would are permitted or restricted? All religions are forbidden in Ruzhanya; Old Sarioch forbids anything but the state religion; Agravin imposes a tax on non-believers in the state religion; all religions are legal elsewhere, with the general exception of suicide cults. Death cults are universally forbidden by mandate of the Outer Council.

Which of the following are be legal:

12-Porn Varies. Live-action child pornography is universally forbidden by mandate of the Outer Council; representations of child pornography are forbidden excepting Achuria, the United Socialist Concord, Agravin, the Kiran Reaches, Ruzhanya, and Verzanya. All pornography is illegal in Old Sarioch, while all pornography is legal in Agravin, but difficult to disseminate due to the fact that the printing press is illegal there, and faces religious disapproval. Snuff pornography is forbidden excepting the United Socialist Concord, Verzanya, the Kiran Reaches, and Agravin. Pornography is generally legal elsewhere, although the developed bloc requires purchasers to be over eighteen, and most other Dominions impose similar age limits.

13-Prostitution Illegal in Old Sarioch, Karhallon, Western Ephaera, Verzanya, and Ruzhanya; highly regulated in Greater Ephaera, Achuria, and Greymark; legal elsewhere but subject to strict societal restrictions in Karcharis and religious disapproval in Agravin.

14-Polygamy/ Polyandry/ Polyamory Polygamy is legal in Old Sarioch, most of the developed bloc excepting Greymark, and much of the rest of the Outer Dominions. It is illegal in Agravin, Ruzhanya, Verzanya, and Karhallon. Polyandry is legal in most of the developed bloc excepting Greymark and in Karcharis, the Kiran Reaches, the Technogenic Pale, and the United Socialist Concord. Polyamory is legal in most of the developed bloc excepting Greymark, legal in Karcharis, the Kiran Reaches, the Technogenic Pale, and the United Socialist Concord, and illegal in Verzanya, Ruzhanya, Karhallon, Old Sarioch and Agravin.

15-Homosexuality Carries the death penalty in Old Sarioch, Agravin, and Ruzhanya; sodomy is illegal in Karhallon; legal in most of the developed bloc with varying levels of societal approval or disapproval.

16-Stem cell research Illegal in Old Sarioch, Agravin, Western Ephaera and Karhallon; legal in most of the developed bloc; legal in the Kiran Reaches.

17-Human Cloning Illegal in Old Sarioch, Agravin, Western and Greater Ephaera, Karhallon, Verzanya, Greymark, Scarindan; legal in Achuria, the Kiran Reaches, the Technogenic Pale, the United Socialist Concord, Ruzhanya, and others.

18-Cock Fighting? Generally illegal under local animal abuse statutes in most of the Outer Dominions, illegal under religious prohibition in Old Sarioch, legal in the Kiran Reaches, Verzanya, and Agravin.

19-Slavery? Universally forbidden by mandate of the Outer Council, although serfdom is legal in Agravin and treatment of debtors comes close in Verzanya and Karhallon. Practiced widely in the Kiran Reaches.

20-Hunting? Generally illegal excepting Karhallon, Agravin (where it is restricted to nobility), Old Sarioch, the Kiran Reaches, Verzanya, and Ruzhanya.

21-Fishing Generally legal excepting Western Ephaera.

22-Eating meat? Universally legal.

23-Littering? Illegal in Western Ephaera; stringent waste disposal regulations exist in the United Socialist Concord; de facto illegal in the Technogenic Pale; frowned upon elsewhere.

24-Unisex bathrooms ? Occasionally found, but not common. Forbidden in Old Sarioch, Agravin, and Verzanya. Universal in Ruzhanya.

25-Suicide? Legal in the United Socialist Concord and the Kiran Reaches; assisted euthanasia legal in Greater Ephaera, Achuria, Greymark, Scarinden, and elsewhere; illegal elsewhere. Attempted suicide punishable by hospitalization in Karhallon and Ruzhanya; successful suicide punishable by being buried in unhallowed ground in Old Sarioch; suicides forbidden burial in Agravin.

26 -Gay marriage? Legal in Achuria, Greater Ephaera, the United Socialist Concord, the Kiran Reaches; de facto legal in the Technogenic Pale; civil unions legal in Western Ephaera, Greymark, Scarinden, others.

27-Abortion Legal excepting Old Sarioch (where abortionists are executed) and Agravin; heavily regulated in Karhallon, Verzanya, and Ruzhanya; legal elsewhere with varying levels of societal approval.

28- What types of sexual activity (if any) are illegal ? Any sexual activity with minors is universally forbidden by mandate of the Outer Council. Otherwise it varies between states.

29-Is your country's/culture clothing optional or mandatory? Mandatory excepting the United Socialist Concord (which doesn't count, because its citizens live in cyborg exoskeletons), the Kiran Reaches, and parts of Achuria and Greater Ephaera; de facto optional in the Technogenic Pale.

30-Do you have obscenity laws? If so - how would you define "obscene". Varies between Dominions.

31-What system do you have for taxes? The Citadel levies a small universal tax on everyone except Agravine serfs (whose feudal lords are taxed accordingly higher); it also requires monetary support from Dominion governments. Local income taxes vary between zero in the United Socialist Concord, the Kiran Reaches, the Technogenic Pale and Verzanya, de facto zero in Ruzhanya, where the state is the sole employer, to sixty percent in Greater Ephaera and seventy percent in Western Ephaera. Total taxes average around 30%.

31aSales tax? Left to Dominion governments.

31bImport/Export tax? The Citadel charges a small export tax on goods travelling between Dominions, or out of the Outer Dominions.

32-What is the criterion for someone to pass to become a citizen? Varies. In the United Socialist Concord heavy cybernetic modification is required de facto in order to survive; in the Technogenic Pale all citizens must have cybernetic AI neural jacks; in Ruzhanya only Party members are citizens; in the Kiran Reaches merely residing in the territory is sufficient.

33-What types of people do you allow (or not allow) into your country? Varies depending upon the Dominion. The developed bloc generally denies entrance to major felons.

34-What type of government are you? The Outer Council is comprised of several dozen representatives elected or appointed or otherwise selected to represent their Dominions for terms of varying length depending upon the will of the Dominion in question. It is theoretically a supranational legislative and executive body, but in practice it rarely manages to pass anything. Real political power, such as it is, is held by the Inner Council, seven members of the Outer Council with replacements selected by the Inner Council whenever a previous Inner Councilmember leaves. Their identities are secret even to the Outer Councilmembers. Theoretically total executive power resides in the Master of the Citadel, but the hereditary line has died out and the Outer Council has never managed to elect a replacement. There is no judicial representation above the level of the individual Dominions, although a panel of Councilmembers may be appointed to adjudicate and pass judgement over inter-Dominion acts of aggression or war crimes.

35-To what degree is your government allowed to censor or restrict the media? Varies based on the Dominion in question. Totally in Ruzhanya to not at all in the United Socialist Concord; and the Kiran Reaches technically have no government to restrict anything.

36-Aside from laws - what sort of unofficial (and unenforced) cultural rules and traditions do you have? Too many to count.

15-Homosexuality - LEGAL

16-Stem cell research - ILLEGAL

17-Human Cloning - LEGAL

18-Cock Fighting? - LEGAL. Popular among rural areas, uncommon on capital.

19-Slavery? - LIMITED. Only slaves allowed are prostitutes.

20-Hunting? - LEGAL. Many forested areas in Meciene have alot of wildlife, though the Mane Lion is illegal to hunt.

21-Fishing - LEGAL. Sharks are not to be touched, though.

22-Eating meat? - LEGAL. A staple among Mecians, as veganism is outlawed. Vegatarian amounts are limited.

23-Littering? - ILLEGAL as there is a gargantuous amount of bins. Every 5m you walk, a bin could be seen.

25-Suicide? - RESTRICTED. Citizens and LTRs must file an appeal to government. Foreigners aren't allowed.

26 - Gay marriage? - LEGAL

27-Abortion - LEGAL

28- What types of sexual activity (if any) are illegal ? none

29-Is your country's/culture clothing optional or mandatory? Optional. Only Mecians are allowed to wear them, and they must so in popular tourist areas. Airport officials MUST wear them, though.

30-Do you have obscenity laws? If so - how would you define "obscene". - None

31-What system do you have for taxes? - Citizens and LTRs pay a 25% flat rate, while foreigners 50%.

31aSales tax? See below.

31bImport/Export tax? Depends on weight and height of product. (WeightxHeightx3=Tax)

32-What is the criterion for someone to pass to become a citizen? One must take a Citizenship exam. Upon getting 80% and above, the qualifiers must perform a traditional Mecian Dance without any mistakes, judged closely by Traditional Tribe Chiefs.

33-What types of people do you allow (or not allow) into your country? We allow all types, but members of the Taaren Turguern religion are immediately turned away.

34-What type of government are you? We are a very free government who welcomes all decisions made by people to help our country improve. The 'Big Brains' of Meciene have a very bright idea on what Meciene was supposed to be.

35-To what degree is your government allowed to censor or restrict the media? There is no restriction, if you don't count the obvious 'peeping toms'.

36-Aside from laws - what sort of unofficial (and unenforced) cultural rules and traditions do you have?
A Masingsare (∩≥µingµæუ) has the tradition of growing their hair freely, not cutting it one bit. Anyone who was found snipping it was punished by licking a stinky piece of dung made by a vulture 13 years ago, the so-called 'unrotting dung'.

No sex allowed in unisex bathrooms.

Refer to the airport of Rivrea as "Mecian-Rivrea Intercountial and International Airport", not "Rivrea Airport", as it was formerly known before the Great Government Shift.

National Standards Questionaire

cameroi

1 - What is the legal drinking age?
there is no age discrimination in cameroi. infants can "drink" as lawfully as septuagenarians (alcohaul is considered a recreational drug and treated/considered identically to any other)

2 - Driving age? age is also not a factor in the operation of transportation infrastructure.
there are however no paved roads or gas stations.

3 - Age of sexual consent? there is also no such thing as an age factor as such. there is however a law of prudent reasonableness, that is basically and assessment of risk of physical and mental injury. (10 and a half to 11 is generally considered a lower limit for relations of more then two or three years age difference. at no age are children prevented from exploring this aspect of life with others of their own age)

4 - Voting age? voting age is somewhat dependent on species, as there are a diversity of life forms, many of whome age at different rates. the equivelant of a human 12 years old, or more generally completion of the nine years of lower school, which begins at age 3.

5 - age of conscent/adulthood? upon physical puberty or the completions of lower school, a two year subbatical between lower and upper school begins. this is called pujush. from the beginning of pujush onward, every cameroi citizen is considered legally adult, with full rights AND responsibilities.

6 - recreational drugs (if any) are legal? nothing is unlawful to possess. many things are however unlawful to mass produce, whole sale import, or sell for valuable consideration.

no one is immune to culpability for their behavior on the basis of substance influence, and in some contexts it is considered exacerbates and INCREASES severity of whatever actual crime is committed under its influence.

naturally any activity that puts the public at risk while under the influence of any substance is forboden (such as for example operating a transit vehicle)

7 - Can people have guns? people can HAVE anything they want. what is not lawful is to make more then three of them. ever. but you may have a cruse missile and a missile launching tank or military aircraft if you so wish. the only thing is, you won't be able to buy or sell them. you just have to acquire the skills necessary to make them yourself.

8 - What is the official full name of your country? What is the informal name? just cameroi. it doesn't NEED anything more hoopdeedoo then that.

9 - Do you have the death penalty? no.
we have exile and remanding to the custody of victims or their families.

10 - What is the speed limit? this is kind of nonaplicable as there are no paved roadways to have speed limits on. guideway based transit operates at designated designed speeds

11 - What types of religions would are permitted or restricted? religeous discrimination is forbidden. the dominant belief is the nalanuthtu which litterally means way or path in the mountains. there is no "state" religeon in any sense.

Which of the following are be legal:

12- "Porn": we have no problem with pretty pictures of naked people engaged in extreme sex
13-Prostitution: well there's not much market for it, but anyone is welcome to try.
14-Polygamy/ Polyandry/ Polyamory - Far more common than monogamy- Polyamory makes up some 75% of all merriages
15-Homosexuality: and the objection to this would be what now?
16-Stem cell research: the research is done.
17-Human Cloning: pointless and not encouraged.

18-Cock Fighting? this is considered in the same category as manslaughter. raising and training any species to be unnaturally aggressive, let alone any "sport" that involves or encourages this abuse IS entirely forbidden

19-Slavery? only as a punishment for a serious convicted crime. isn't really very useful for anything else outside of personal relationships that are none of the government's business.

20-Hunting? one law. you kill it you eat it. strictly enforced. literally.

21-Fishing - fishing IS hunting fish

22-Eating meat? what people eat is their own concern

23-Littering? this is considered a federal offense.

24-Unisex bathrooms? aren't they all?

25-Suicide? what are you going to do? kill someone for trying to kill themselves?
if someone wants to make more room for the rest of us that's up to them. leaving a big mess for someone else to clean up is not however encouraged.

26 - Gay marriage? hasn't this already been covered. any combination of any number of consenting adults who want to call themselves a merrage are as welcome to do so as any other.

27-Abortion? not considered the place of the law to judge. as long as actual birth has not occurred making it infanticide. generally unwanted pregnancies just don't almost never happen at all.

28- What types of sexual activity (if any) are illegal ? as long as its sex for the sake of sex, and not the pretense of sex for the sake of coercion for some other agenda, there's no real problem.

29-Is your country's/culture clothing optional or mandatory? Very much Optional

30-Do you have obscenity laws? absolutely not. not as such anyway.

31-What system do you have for taxes? we don't have or use a monetary system as such at all. people just do/contribute what they enjoy. machines do the rest.

31aSales tax? see above

31bImport/Export tax? covenants of trade are seperately and individually entered into as needed

32-citizenship? if you are present within cameroi's borders, for all practical purposes you are considered a citizen and treated as such.
the grounds of other nations embassies, are of course considered parts of THEIR territory, and thus the closest thing to any sort of exception.

33-permissible immigration?
anyone dressed in civilian clothing (or nakked) and not bearing armament on or about their person
(with the sole exception being anyone currently under sentence of exile)

34-What type of government are you? service state anonymous

35-To what degree is your government allowed to censor or restrict the media? it isn't. though it is free to publish responses through its own.

36-Aside from laws - what sort of unofficial (and unenforced) cultural rules and traditions do you have?

this would get rather long and complicated, for indeed much of cultural tradition superceeds the need for legislation. generally we avoid naming any person, place or thing 'after' any other person, place, or thing.

a great deal of emphasis is placed on useful technological and artistic education, which like most other things, is completely free.

thoughtlessness is generally considered a demonstration of the lack of a conscience.
loudness is generally considered a demonstration of thoughtlessness. whether of voice, reproduced sounds, or in the design of machinery.

the raising of voice in deep philosophical discussions, is, oddly enough, considered an acceptable exception.

aggressiveness tends to be ostracized rather then romanticized while imaginative creativity tends to be romanticized rather then ostracized.

whatever you do in public belongs to the public.
who may then fully participate without fear of penalty.

truth isn't what i say. isn't what you say. isn't what anybody says. truth is what is there, when no one is saying anything.

Re: National Standards Questionaire

Postby Skeelzania » Mon May 04, 2009 2:57 am

1 - What is the legal drinking age? Skeelzanians may legally consume alcohol on obtaining their 20th year.

2 - Driving age? Varies. Within the heavy urban centers of the Strenreich, ground-car licenses may be tested for at age 25. Private vehicles are rare in Skeelzanian cities, generally only being owned by upper classes or the State, and are almost exclusively driven by professional drivers. In less populated parts of the Empire, the application age can be as low as 16.

3 - Age of sexual consent? The age of consent is sixteen, but only if both ‘participants’ are eighteen years of age or younger. Full sexual rights are granted at age eighteen.

4 - Voting age? At sixteen Skeelzanians are allowed the right to petition their feudal overlord. However, most citizens of the Strenreich are now direct subjects of the Imperial House, which has always delegated the running of its domains to bureaucrats who, in turn, find it much easier to organize regular elections and polls rather than deal with a constant stream of angry petitions. Sixteen is thus the de facto voting age.

5 - At what age would someone become an adult (free from parental control)? - At sixteen Skeelzanians are granted autonomy from parental control, although full civil rights (as shown above) are not generally granted until eighteen, and many civil “privileges” such as driving and drinking do not come till later. However, at sixteen Skeelzanians are recognized as adults and are allowed to join the military and begin fulfilling their term of service.

6 - What types of recreational drugs (if any) are legal? – The only recreational drugs permitted in Skeelzania are alcohol and tobacco; any others are viewed very, very dimly.

- Tobacco – Many varieties available, from authentic Terran strains to modified or mutated crops. All types must undergo certification to ensure that they have not been altered substantially from the base gene before they are permitted to go on the market. For example, a crop that has been gene-modified to produce Lysergic acid diethylamide would no longer be considered tobacco and would be prohibited.

-Alcohol – Legal and popular, comes in many varieties and flavors.

- All other Drugs – Very much prohibited, from old-world cocaine to Feerott Freakweed Extract. At times the Skeelzanian State has moved militarily against nations perceived to be “poisoning the Skeelzanian People” by manufacturing and exporting drugs to the Sternreich. The Bandalok Gnomes were notable and repeated targets of such pogroms.

7 - Can people have guns? Firearm ownership is very restricted within most of Skeelzania, being completely illegal in urban centers. Frontier provinces generally have much looser restrictions in accordance with their semi-militarized status. There are various loopholes within the law, however, allowing for the upper nobility to have varying degrees of access: a hereditary count or baron might own a pistol and hunting rifle, whereas Margraves and the Imperial House are capable of fielding entire armies, complete with weapons much more devastating than firearms. Conversely, a non-hereditary knight or count would have to be content with his sword.

All ranks of nobility are allowed to wear a sword in public, although law and custom does not allow them to wave it about.

8 - What is the official full name of your country? What is the informal name? What are people of your nation called Formal: The Skeelzanian Sternreich// Informal: Skeelzania or The Sternreich / Citizens: Skeelzanians.

9 - Do you have the death penalty? Yes, and in several varieties for a wide array of crimes.

10 - What is the speed limit? 100 kph is the maximum within cities, although generally much lower.

11 - What types of religions would are permitted or restricted? All religions are permitted so long as they do not challenge the power of the State; those Skeelzanians unable to swear allegiance to the Kasier over their God are unlikely to advance very far in the military. Most of the human populace practice Spootology, which is also the State Religion. This religion explicitly states that the God of Men is dead and that the Kaiser is the inheritor of His Authority. (The religion was in fact created solely to bolster and unite the people behind the Imperial House.) Devout Spootologists tend to view other faiths as both treasonous and blasphemous, although the overwhelming majority of Skeelzanians are only nominally pious.

Which of the following are be legal:

12- Porn - Legal except in the instances of pedophilia, bestiality, rape, or if any other criminal act is depicted. Cross-species pornography is socially disapproved of, but is generally legal.

13-Prostitution – Legal so long as the prostitute registers with the local control agencies and follows their guidelines concerning cleanliness and pays income tax. However, as many transactions are done with cash, unregistered prostitution and tax evasion are ripe in some areas. Pimping in any form is overwhelmingly illegal and carries the same penalty as rape: death.

14-Polygamy/ Polyandry/ Polyamory - Illegal, marriage being defined as a relationship between two adults.

15-Homosexuality – Legal, with the right to marry.

16-Stem cell research – Legal and an integral part of Skeelzanian history and survival.

17-Human Cloning – Severely restricted, limited to organs, tissues, and non-sentient “slugs” for research purposes. The last are human bodies with only enough brainstem left to keep organs functioning, and can only be created after the would-be cloner completes a lengthy approval process which entails examining and judging the experiment itself. In the rare cases where a fully sentient clone is created (and discovered), the clone becomes a Ward of the State, is sterilized, and allowed to live out its natural life, generally within the military. The cloner is imprisoned and can be executed at the court’s discretion.

18-Cock Fighting? Illegal, although gladiatorial combat between private citizens is not.

19-Slavery? – Officially illegal, although petty criminals may be used as labor. Sexual slavery, especially of poor or foreign women, is a small but recurring problem, as well as a popular lightning rod for Imperial anger, as the worst violations are carried out almost exclusively by members of the nobility.

20-Hunting? Very popular, either for practical reasons in the frontier provinces, or as recreation among the upper classes. Big game safaris have long the unofficial sport of the Imperial House.

21-Fishing – Moderately popular on worlds that can support it.

22-Eating meat? What one eats is one’s own business, so long as it does not infringe on the rights of others.

23-Littering? Illegal.

24-Unisex bathrooms ? Common in the military, and thus common in civilian life as well.

25-Suicide? – No law preventing, although the culture discourages from doing so in cases of depression or where others might be harmed, either directly (i.e. are below you when you jump) or indirectly (i.e. depriving your children or spouse of a means of support). Suicide due to shame (such as military defeat) or to protest government action or policy are considered valid and in some cases honorable.

26 - Gay marriage? - Marriage is officially a compact between two consenting adults, with both heterosexual and homosexual couples receiving the same rights and privileges.

27-Abortion – Permitted, although society considers it to be the responsibility of both sexual partners to take necessary steps to prevent accidental pregnancy in the first place.

28- What types of sexual activity (if any) are illegal ? Pedophilia and rape (including statutory) are illegal, with execution being a common sentence for such crimes. Bestiality is legally equivalent to rape. Skeelzanian law also states that to have sex with a “brainwashed or manufactured being, whose nature is such that they are incapable of declining sexual congress, is to be considered the equivalent of rape and the perpetrator is to be sentenced as such.” This last law applies chiefly to pleasure-clones and flesh-pots, produced outside of the Sternreich and imported into the country.

29-Is your country's/culture clothing optional or mandatory? Public nudity is frowned upon and is punishable with up to a year of hard labor. Skeelzanians are expected to dress conservatively in public. Additionally, the strong militarist emphasis of Skeelzanian society leads to uniforms being a common sight.

30-Do you have obscenity laws? If so - how would you define "obscene". - One is allowed to print or broadcast most anything, with simulations of rape or pedophilia being the clear exceptions, and “gratuitous” violence being more of a gray area. Access by children of mature materials is strongly discouraged, and public art is not allowed the same degree of liberty that the broadcast and print media enjoy (so long as they restrict access to adults).

31-What system do you have for taxes?
31aIncome tax? Income tax is assessed on a sliding percentage scale, generally topping out around 30%.

31bSales tax? A Byzantine code governs sales taxes, which are generally used to leverage more money from the middle and upper classes than the lower.

31cImport/Export tax? Tariffs are widespread and varied, based on the product, its manufacturer and its destination.

32-What is the criterion for someone to pass to become a citizen? Human foreigners may obtain Imperial citizenship by serving three years in the Skeelzanian Foreign Legions, which incidentally are often stationed in the most hostile frontier provinces. Inhabitants of a recently annexed planet, provided that they are human, can obtain full citizenship by serving eight years in a Reconstruction Legion (where they help construct and modify infrastructure to assist in the territory’s assimilation into Skeelzania proper) or by joining a Foreign Legion and serving the three years. Non-human species, or those humans who are deemed more than 49% cybernetic, are denied citizenship in all circumstances.

33-What types of people do you allow (or not allow) into your country? Illegal immigrants who commit a crime and, for some reason, choose to flee to Skeelzania and are subsequently captured, will be punished for their crime as mandated by Skeelzanian law and often receive sentences much harsher than they would in their home country. Law-abiding human laborers are much more welcome, so long as they are healthy and do not show signs of permanent settlement. Those with chemical or other dependencies are strongly frowned upon.

34-What type of government are you? Semi-constitutional Monarchy. The Kaiser (or Kaiserin) is the supreme sovereign of the Skeelzanian Sternreich, yet is still subject to the law as well as Their obligations as feudal overlord of the entire nation. Roughly seventy percent of all citizens are direct subjects of the Kaiser, either as commoners or minor nobility. The remaining thirty percent are those who live within the half-dozen semi-autonomous domains on the edges of the Sternreich. These are frontier provinces such as the Drenmark or the Feerott Principality, where the populace’s direct overlord is a member of the Great House tasked with overseeing those realms. This overlord is in turn subject to the Kaiser.

35-To what degree is your government allowed to censor or restrict the media? The State guarantees a free press, principally as an anti-corruption measure. Reporting on military or “strategic” matters is, however, much more restricted.

36-Aside from laws - what sort of unofficial (and unenforced) cultural rules and traditions do you have? – Beginning as an isolated human population surrounded by powerful and potentially (or perceived to be) hostile alien neighbors, Skeelzanians soon became a very militant, pro-human and expansionist culture. Much of this is legislated – military service is compulsory for at least four years for all citizens. However, some traits have arose due to the Skeelzanian’s initial isolation.

Fellow Skeelzanians are always to be respected as brother subjects of the Kaiser; while officers and nobles can command, they cannot abuse their subordinates. Feudal Overlords are not given carte blanche in dealing with their subjects. The nobles are expected to act nobly, in the best interest of their subjects. Likewise, subjects are expected to support their lords and to provide both service and council. Lords are expected to render the same trust and support to one another.

Unfortunately, sometimes the feudal contract breaks down. With any elite class there is a tendency towards snobbism, or worse. Petty lords, while having no serfs of their own, make up the bulk of the nation’s employers – and judges. At times this comes together to result in the exploitation of commoners. Prices can be artificially inflated, or lord can use his power and ill-gotten immunity to extort carnal favors from his household staff.

In such cases, the exploited can appeal to outside forces to deliver them. The most dramatic assistance is that of the Duelists: men and women of the nobility who in effect act as contract killers for the exploited. Dueling is an accepted means of resolving points of honor, and breaking the feudal code is worth challenging. Limited to swordplay, combatants are allowed to maim and kill not only each other, but anyone who attempts to interfere on one party’s behalf. Combat may take place at a preordained time and place, or a challenge can be issued and answered on the spot. Probably the most famous Duelist was the Count (now Archduke) Monatgue de Serrat, who was notorious for engaging his foes within their own households, often in front of family and servants.

Pay me 10000 Monits, and I'll tell you. *counts* Thank you. Miraclia is an utterly corrupt nation. Although many things are illegal, if you can bribe the policemen, prosecutors, and/or judges, you can easily escape punishment. Likewise, if you can bribe the relevant officials, you can enter the nation, even if you are a communist pedophile atheist (though this combination will cost you something fierce, as there are gradations). In short, if you can afford the bribe, you can do or get anything you want.

1 - What is the legal drinking age? There is no regulation of drinking.

2 - Driving age? For public roads, licenses are only valid at the age of sixteen. For private roads, regulation of traffic is up to the entrepreneur, not government. Licenses are not given out by the government; it is completely privatized.

3 - Age of sexual consent? There is no age of consent.

4 - Voting age? Currently, most of the Empire is devoid of any form of democracy. Although the senate is likely to be put back in place, the only area with any type of democracy is the territory of Theohuanacu (which can vote for local governmental representatives; they are autonomous).

5 - At what age would someone become an adult (free from parental control)? We don't really classify.

6 - What types of recreational drugs (if any) are legal? There is no prohibition.

7 - Can people have guns? No regulation.

8 - What is the official full name of your country? What is the informal name? What are people of your nation called The Second Empire of the Golden Throne

9 - Do you have the death penalty? Theoretically, although never been used.

10 - What is the speed limit? There is no speed limit on public roads; all regulation on private roads is up to the entrepreneur.

11 - What types of religions would are permitted or restricted? Freedom of religion.

12- Porn No prohibition.

13-Prostitution No prohibition.

14-Polygamy/ Polyandry/ Polyamory No prohibition.

15-Homosexuality Legal

16-Stem cell research Legal

17-Human Cloning Legal

18-Cock Fighting? Legal

19-Slavery? Illegal; property rights are enforced (property rights over yourself), except if you are a debtor and signed yourself away in a contract (i.e. if you fall into debt and use yourself as collateral to make up the debt).

20-Hunting? No regulation.

21-Fishing Not regulation

22-Eating meat? ...

23-Littering? Depends on the entrepreneur who owns the property.

24-Unisex bathrooms ? Say what?

25-Suicide? You can do with yourself what you want.

26 - Gay marriage? Isn't this the same as homosexuality? Legal.

27-Abortion Legal.

28- What types of sexual activity (if any) are illegal ? Everything, unless it comes into conflict with property rights.

29-Is your country's/culture clothing optional or mandatory? Depends on who owns the private property and their rules.

30-Do you have obscenity laws? If so - how would you define "obscene". - Again “?Blink?”

31-What system do you have for taxes?
There is no income taxes; government's revenue comes from small taxes on goods and consumption.

31aSales tax? Small sales tax to make revenue for government.

31bImport/Export tax? There are not tariffs.

32-What is the criterion for someone to pass to become a citizen? Must be native born, or it can be granted by the government in certain cases (foreign soldiers who serve in the military for twenty years).

33-What types of people do you allow (or not allow) into your country? No restriction on immigration.

34-What type of government are you? A very contradictory, hypocritical libertarian Empire.

35-To what degree is your government allowed to censor or restrict the media? Since it's an authoritarian government, there is no restriction, and so the current almost complete liberty enjoyed by citizens is threatened by the fact that the Emperor can change his mind whenever, or he can die and his successor can be more of a tyrant.

36-Aside from laws - what sort of unofficial (and unenforced) cultural rules and traditions do you have? For example None; government does not enforce laws on private property.

1 - What is the legal drinking age? Officially, 21 for humans and 50 for elves. Cultural considerations move the age to whatever a minor's parents deem acceptable.

2 - Driving age? Private internal combustion traffic is forbidden. Those for whom such travel is not forbidden would receive training from the state to allow them to serve their brothers irregardless.

3 - Age of sexual consent? Theoretically 21 for humans and 50 for elves. In practical consideration, this is not enforced as nothing should be done except as to help our brother men and our brother elves.

4 - Voting age? 21 for humans, 50 for elves. All citizens are required to take part in free and fair elections in which we vote after having been informed of the will of our brother men and our brother elves so as we may best serve them.

5 - At what age would someone become an adult (free from parental control)? Children are not raised by their biological parental units. The state is our mother and the state is our father. We are assigned our job by the council of vocations which is wise beyond our ability to measure because it represents to the will of our brothers when we are capable of doing the work by which we may best serve our brothers.

6 - What types of recreational drugs (if any) are legal? Illegal. The use of drugs impairs our ability to serve our brother men and our brother elves.

7 - Can people have guns? No. We live only by the suffrance of our brother men and our brother elves. To do violence upon them in any way unless it be the will of all our brother men and our brother elves is base and it is evil.

8 - What is the official full name of your country? What is the informal name? What are people of your nation called?
Formal Long:Le Commonwealth Socialiste de Caras Galad(h)on
StandardCaras Galad(h)on
PeopleGalad(h)rim, Sindar, Sindarin, Eldar Eldalie, Moriquendi, Galadesian, and so forth, though to draw attention to the differences of our brother men and our brother elves is base and it is evil.

9 - Do you have the death penalty? We live only by the suffrance of our brother men and our brother elves. Should they revoke that suffrence from us, our duty is to end our life by their wish.

10 - What is the speed limit? See question 2 above.

11 - What types of religions would are permitted or restricted? All religion is forbidden except for that which is the state. Our only prayer is, "We are nothing. Mankind is all. By the grace of our brothers are we allowed our lives. We exist through, by and for our brothers who are the State. Amen."

12- Porn? Theoretically legal, but the liklihood of its existence is rather small.

13-Prostitution? Theoretically legal, liklihood of occurence extremely small.

14-Polygamy/ Polyandry/ Polyamory? Marriage does not exist. Theoretically each of the above is required and mandated by our brothers who are the state so that we may serve them by having children and keeping our base and animal lusts in check.

15-Homosexuality? Bisexuality is required by law. When we must sate our animal instincts it is wrong, it is base, and it is evil to seek out any one particular of our brothers for any reason, including their sex.

16-Stem cell research? All life exists only to serve its brothers.

17-Human Cloning? See above.

18-Cock Fighting? All animals exist only to serve we who is man. However, entertainment is not a normal or acceptable activity.

19-Slavery? All must serve their brothers at any time for any reason for no other reason than that it is only right and proper to serve our brothers.

20-Hunting? Theoretically legal, but as our brothers who are the state provide everything we require and entertainment is improper, why bother?

21-Fishing? See above.

22-Eating meat? Required. Eating meat is the easiest method of being sure our bodies obtain the nutrients we needs to serve best our brothers. It is base and it is evil that we be different as it is also base and evil to interfere with our ability to serve our brothers who are the state.

23-Littering? We think that our brothers is joking with this question.

24-Unisex bathrooms ? Required. It is wrong and it is evil to bring attention to the things that make us different from our brothers.

25-Suicide? We live only to serve our brothers. To refuse to serve our brothers is the second most serious offense we can commit. We shall be lashed 400 times and sentenced to 3 years in the palace of corrective education should we try. Despite this, it is common for many of our brothers to try and many suceed, though we know not why for it is base and it is evil.

26 - Gay marriage? Marriage does not exists, as it is a form of the sin of preference. It is base and it is evil for us to prefer to spend our time with one person more than any other.

27-Abortion? Illegal. We must serve our brother men. It is selfish and it is wrong to terminate our pregnancy when we could instead give birth so that there will be more brothers for us to serve.

28- What types of sexual activity (if any) are illegal ? Theoretically none. We must serve our brother men. Any sexual activity that helps us do so we must do.

29-Is your country's/culture clothing optional or mandatory? Mandatory. We must look the same as all our brothers at all times. To be different is a sin.

30-Do you have obscenity laws? If so - how would you define "obscene?" There is only one thing which is obscene. The word which may not be uttered. WE ARE ONE IN ALL AND ALL IN ONE. THERE ARE NO MEN BUT ONLY THE GREAT _WE_, ONE, INDIVISIBLE AND FOREVER.

31-What system do you have for taxes?
We work only for the benefit of our brother men. Money is vile and it is evil and does not exists. Our brothers who are the state provide what we need.

31aSales tax? See above.

31bImport/Export tax? We must trade only with our brother men who are the same as us. For them it would wrong to demand money to bring their goods here or to send ours there, as we must serve our brother men freely for no gain.

32-What is the criterion for someone to pass to become a citizen? We are all in one and one in all. All men are citizens. Any man may live with his brothers that will freely serve and worship them who are the state.

33-What types of people do you allow (or not allow) into your country? See 32.

34-What type of government are you? We do not understand your question. There is no government. There is only our brothers who are the state with whom we are one and indivisible.

(OOC: A marxist regime taken to its logical extremes)

35-To what degree is your government allowed to censor or restrict the media? There is only we, one and indivisible who are men that we serve. Our brothers who are the state tell us all that we need and how we may best serve our brothers.

36-Aside from laws - what sort of unofficial (and unenforced) cultural rules and traditions do you have? We are one in all and all in one. There are no men but only the great WE, one and indivisible forever. When we understand this that is all that we need. They who does not is a heretic. They who speaks heresy shall have their tongue removed that they may not speak their lies, their eyelids taken so that their eyes can never again be blind to the truth and finally their body burned so that they may serve their brothers by ceasing to be different from them.

1 - What is the legal drinking age? Officially, 16. However, no crime has occured if a person under such an age is consuming alcohol under adult supervision with parental consent, or is engaged in dining with or without adult presence. Also, no conduct engaged in that has no victim is criminally punishible (Hence DUI underage is a crime, being drunk underage is not).

2 - Driving age? Roads are privatized and road owners, automobile manufacturers, and insurance companies are the determinant. The prevailing market condition is to allow unrestricted driving privilege at 16.

3 - Age of sexual consent? Theoretically 16. Sexual activity with any minor under the age of 12 is a capital offense. Between the ages of 12-16 judicial authorities have significant leeway in determining if a a criminal act was committed and if so the severity.

4 - Voting age? Generally approximately 16. Any person capable of passing the language profficiency examination in either French or Quenya is eligible to vote regardless of actual age.

5 - At what age would someone become an adult (free from parental control)? Generally 18 for humans and 50 for elves, however there is no government enforcement of any particular age, as any age chosen would be arbitrary and capricious.

6 - What types of recreational drugs (if any) are legal? All drugs are legal under the same structure as alcohol. It is socially taboo to partake in drug use, and being under the influence of drugs while driving or committing a crime serves as an aggravtor (and thus sentence enhancer) rather than an affirmative defense (to show impaired faculty).

7 - Can people have guns? Yes. Gun ownership is a garaunteed right that the government may not infringe upon in any way. With that said, the irresponsible use of firearms is prohibited if such use results in or could reasonably result in harm to another person to whom no harm is due (IE you can't set targets in the middle of a crowded public place and shoot at them for fun). Laws exist shielding anyone who discharges their weapon against a person comitting a crime from any criminal and/or civil action.

8 - What is the official full name of your country? What is the informal name? What are people of your nation called?
Formal Long: La Féderation de I Eldalante (Fren/Quenya meaning: The Federation of the Elvenland)
StandardEldalante
PeopleEldar, Caliquendi, Vanyar, Noldor, Teleri, Eldalantean. Vanyarin, Noldorin, Telerin, Eldalantean.

9 - Do you have the death penalty? Yes. Used for a certain list of crimes. 1 appeal is possible after which execution shall be carried out within 1 week by a single gunshot to the head.

10 - What is the speed limit? See question 2 above.

11 - What types of religions would are permitted or restricted? A secular state being required for the security of liberty, the Eldalantean government does not and shall not make any law respecting the establishment of religion or preventing the free excercise thereof. However, crime remains crime, no matter what the motivation.

12- Porn? Legal. Regulation is not existent except in so much as no activity that would be otherwise illegal may be performed in a pornographic film. However, simulated, animated and/or computer generated depictions of such content is legal.

13-Prostitution? Legal, excepting that no activity may be engaged in that would be otherwise illegal. It is illegal to knowingly and willing transmit sexually transmitted diseases to another person without their consent (Sounds bizarre but we have found that some people WILL engage in sexual activity with a person seropositive for HIV in a desire to contract the virus).

14-Polygamy/ Polyandry/ Polyamory? Not illegal. Marriage as a religious institution is not a function of the state. In so much as civil contracts regarding relations amongst individuals for decision making power, lines of property sucession, etcetera, citizens may make any arrangements they so choose for any reason they so choose. with no requirement that the individuals involved be engaged in ANY relationship. It should be noted that these types of relationships are taboo within the elvish culture and that this taboo has been adopted in general by society and as such polygamysts, polyandrysts and the like should be prepared for social outcast status, general denial of private services, and so forth as the consequence of their choices.

15-Homosexuality? Legal. Generally well tolerated by society on the whole, though some of the oldest amongst the eldalie remain opposed.

16-Stem cell research? Legal and widely engaged in my Eldalantean pharmaceutical companies.

17-Human Cloning? Legal, though not generally practiced due to cultural issues of the majority Eldalie.

18-Cock Fighting? Not illegal, but traditional elvish reverance for nature being what it is...

19-Slavery? Illegal as a violation of the rights of sentient beings to live by their own productive means. However, forced labor is permissible as a judiciarily imposed sanction as criminals have forfeited their rights.

20-Hunting? Legal.

21-Fishing? Legal.

22-Eating meat? Not a subject in which government intervention is considered, much less appropriate. The Eldalantean government wonders why any nation, even the most restrictive would choose to regulate the dietary habits of its citizens that closely or how they would deign to attempt to enforce such policies.

23-Littering? Is not an issue worthy of being adressed by the national government.

24-Unisex bathrooms ? Not a government issue. Whoever owns the toilet in question may make whatever regulations they wish for its use.

25-Suicide? If one suceeds the criminality of suicide is a moot point. If one tries and fails to suceed, one needs psychiatric help for their incompetence, which is not a governmental responsibility.

26 - Gay marriage? As with the plethora of poly- relationships, individuals may make the civil contracts of property rights, parental custody, decision making, etc with whomever they chose for any reason regardless of the existence of a relationship between them. As a religious institution marriage is not a matter in which the state has any business. Inquiries to the stance of particular religious bodies should be directed to the governing bodies of those organizations and not the state. The state does note however, as a courtesy to potential tourists, that the mainstream elvish culture is unwilling to confer the title of marriage upon homosexual relations while still honoring and respecting a committment between to partners and visitors should be prepared to have their relationships viewed in such a manner.

27-Abortion? Legal. It is a decision between a doctor and his/her patient. However, cultural considerations make abortion extremely rare and there are no known doctors amongst the Eldalie who will perform the operation in anything other than dire medical necessity.

28- What types of sexual activity (if any) are illegal ? Any non-consensual activity is illegal. All consensual activity amongst persons capable of giving informed consent are legal. Rape is in general a capital offense as it will nearly always result in the death of an adult member of the Eldalie.

29-Is your country's/culture clothing optional or mandatory? There is no law on the subject either way. However, we would expect that as a cultural norm, private enterprises would refuse to serve unclothed persons for reasons of sanitation and propriety.

30-Do you have obscenity laws? If so - how would you define "obscene?" Obscene is a rather broad and subjective term. That said, nothing which is not a crime is obscene. If one finds some non-criminal act, choice, language, etc "obscene" they are free to go elsewhere. Private property owners are free to place whatever restrictions they wish upon people upon their own property, however (thus CTV Christian Telivision prohibits profanity, blasphemy, etc in anything being shown on their airwaves or channel).

31-What system do you have for taxes?
Income tax is prohibited by constitutional requirement for fair taxation.

31aSales tax? A flat 5% federal tax is exacted on every transaction carried out within the borders of the nation. Up to an additional 5% may be added in regional and local taxes.

31bImport/Export tax? Imports are not taxed as they will be subjected to the sales tax at the point of sale, and double taxation on any good is prohibited by constitutional requirement for fair taxation. Exports may be subject to sales tax.

32-What is the criterion for someone to pass to become a citizen? Citizenship is open to any person who has not committed an act the Eldalantean government would view as a crime and is capable of passing the French or Quenya language profficiency examination and a competency examination on the Constitution and Laws of the Eldalantean state (administered solely in French or Quenya).

33-What types of people do you allow (or not allow) into your country? See above.

34-What type of government are you? Capitalist.

(OOC: A laissez-faire regime taken to its logical extremes)

35-To what degree is your government allowed to censor or restrict the media? All media is privately owned. The government has no power to censor it unless it would be otherwise illegal. Media companies are held civilly liable for the consequences of anything they broadcast, and may be held criminally liable should their broadcast directly result in criminal activity. (IE a broadcast advocating the immediate murder of all Jews would be illegal as incition to riot, conspiracy to commit murder, and probably a few other things. If a mob were to gather that actually attempted to carry out such an act, accessory to murder could also be added to the list).

36-Aside from laws - what sort of unofficial (and unenforced) cultural rules and traditions do you have? The only sovereign I can allow to rule me is reason. The first law of reason is this: what exists exists; what is is. From this irreducible, bedrock principle, all knowledge is built. This is the foundation from which life is embraced. Reason is a choice. Wishes and whims are not facts, nor are they a means to discovering them. Reason is our only way of grasping reality--it is our basic tool of survival. We are free to evade the effort of thinking, to reject reason, but we are not free to avoid the penalty of the abyss we refuse to see.

This is the principle of the Eldalantean government and culture. One visiting would do well to remember it and abide by it.
Ghosts represent the portion of each person's body that is taken away and held in slavery in a firey hell-dimension because of taxation.
Ultimately, their appearance is a futile appeal to the blinded masses to embrace Objectivism.
Will someone not please think of the ghosts?

National Standards Questionnaire

Nation: Freebeerinakeg, The Confederacy of
Motto: "Beer. It has Beer in it."
Current Residence: Kingdom of Ireland.

Questions:

1 - What is the legal drinking age?:

No legal drinking age, if you can breathe, you can drink.

2 - Driving age?:

Upon completion of the Citizen Competency Test

3 - Age of sexual consent?:

16, though generally not regulated

4 - Voting age?:

All citizens are allowed to vote.

5 - At what age would someone become an adult (free from parental control)?:

Once either the parent signs control off, or once the child (or other) claims it.

6 - What types of recreational drugs (if any) are legal?:

Restricted to Civilians, Unrestricted to Citizens. Items classified as 'Low Threat' in the National Drug Charter are unrestricted. All others are restricted.

7 - Can people have guns?:

Citizens only. However, some restrictions are in place. While the government would be perfectly fine with all Citizens toting Tactical Nukes, there is always the chance of some omnicidal maniac getting a hold of one.
As such, anything with a destruction radius of 30 feet or larger is outlawed for private use.

8 - What is the official full name of your country? What is the informal name? What are people of your nation called?:

Formal: The Confederacy of Freebeerinakeg
Informal: Freebeer
Residents: Keggars

9 - Do you have the death penalty? :

Yes, Liberally.

10 - What is the speed limit?:

However fast you feel like going. This leads to some confusion among newer drivers, but they usually learn what this really means rather quickly, since 'Road Rage' is not a crime.

11 - What types of religions would are permitted or restricted?:

Any that can handle the substantial tax rate. However, some of the more violent and intolerant religions are blacklisted, and are therefore illegal, and practitioners of blacklisted religions are executed by irony.

Which of the following are be legal?:

12 - Porn?:

Not monitored, generally left to the citizenry to manage anything immoral or otherwise undesirable.

13 - Prostitution?:

The government notes that it is perfectly legal to give away certain things, and as such, it is therefore legal to sell them.

14 - Polygamy/ Polyandry/ Polyamory?:

There is no marriage in the normal sense, as the government does not sanction marriage as any sort of legal contract, and is, therefore, not monitored.

15 - Homosexuality?:

Legal, and, in some areas, rather prominent.

16 - Stem cell research?:

Not generally done, but no laws against it.

17 - Human Cloning?:

Sentient cloning is illegal, and punishable by summary execution. However, non-sentient cloning is used for things such as replacement body parts, and is legal, though strictly monitored.

18 - Cock Fighting?:

Not usually seen, as most of the nationally practiced sports, such as Hyperblade, are far more popular. And violent.

19 - Slavery?:

Illegal, although some would call the forced working of convicted felons this. These people are usually hippies, of which being one is illegal.

20 - Hunting?:

Legal. A national sport, in fact.

21 - Fishing?:

Not usually done, as most fishermen use various high-explosive objects to fish, which is fun for about 20 minutes or so.

22 - Eating meat?:

Legal, otherwise not monitored.

23 - Littering?:

Illegal, though it's so widespread, the government usually resorts to torching entire sections of roadside and parkland to get rid of it.

24 - Unisex bathrooms?:

Legal, but not monitored.

25 - Suicide?:

Illegal, and punishable by death.

26 - Gay marriage?:

As specified earlier, marriage is not government sanctioned.

27 - Abortion:

Legal to Citizens, However, a large underground movement exists to bring this to Civilians as well, the government frequently reminds people that if they had any self control, this would not be necessary.

28 - What types of sexual activity (if any) are illegal?:

The only written illegal sexual activity is sexual acts that can cause harm to the populace as a whole, such as purposefully spreading STDs. Vigilante justice, however, is widespread on some matters, which usually includes but is not limited to: Public Fornication, Child Molestation, and 'Nuclear Reactor Yayahahaing'.

29 - Is your country's/culture clothing optional or mandatory?:

Mandatory to Civilians at all times, Mandatory to Citizens on public lands.
The government has no way of enforcing this, however. Thankfully, most residents keep their clothes on, and as such, the government can focus on other, more important problems, such as widespread hippie infestations.

30 - Do you have obscenity laws? If so - how would you define "obscene"?:

Depends largely and widely on the location.

31 - What system do you have for taxes?:

A very crude, largely disliked tax system that involves regional magistrates taxing anywhere from nothing to 80% of the Citizens income. Civilians are not taxed, which is largely considered the only advantage to not being a Citizen. The government is looking at finding a more reasonable tax system.

31A - Sales tax?:

None, there is instead, a flat Manufacturing tax of 15% of item's cost.

31B - Import/Export tax?:

Depending on the item, can range from nothing to 85% of item's attributed value.

32 - What is the criterion for someone to pass to become a citizen?:

Substantial. Civilians must Pass the Citizen Competency Test, and serve a minimum of 5 years in the military. Foreign persons may not become Citizens without a background check, and a magistrate's approval, in addition to the two other requirements.

33 - What types of people do you allow (or not allow) into your country?:

Any, provided they are not convicted felons in any previous nation of residence, or those that do not pass a substantial health check. Violators to these will be either extradited or executed, depending on their importance to other nations.

34 - What type of government are you?:

The government tries to refrain from any distinct classification, as it's policies are widespread and change frequently, However, the government attributes that it is consistently Fascist and Equal-Oppressive. It does not matter your species, race, gender, nor creed: if you do something we don't like, you will be shot.

35 - To what degree is your government allowed to censor or restrict the media?:

Vehemently not at all, as the media is full of lies and misinformation as is, and is yet somehow completely trusted by the populace. Any sort of government censorship just furthers the populace's mind that the media is always right, and that we have something to hide.

36 - Aside from laws - what sort of unofficial (and unenforced) cultural rules and traditions do you have?:

The government has no official stance on it's peoples culture, because, thanks to a strange device call Internet, the nation has traditions and culture so widespread and off the wall that attempting to identify any national identity is virtually pointless.

Except two.

One: The government frequently uses big words to confuse the populace as to what it's doing, they all are in agreement on this, because it is true. And...

Two: Beer. It has Beer in it.

The Conglomeration of Northrop-Grumman

1 – What is the legal drinking age? Age 19; originally decided by the board of directors to limit the opportunities for alcohol to spread through secondary schools, but set at a level high enough to confer the privilege around the time that adult citizenship is granted.

2 – Driving age? Age 16 with a three month driving school requirement and successful completion of the same (usually offered through local high schools).

3 – Age of sexual consent? Differs according to locality. The more urban areas have instilled theirs with a degree of flexibility: 16 years of age with at least a two year difference allowed for those younger than the individual, except in cases where one holds authority over there other (as in a teacher). The latter becomes invalid once the person turns 18. The more rural areas have a static boundary: 18 years of age regardless of any conditions.

4 – Voting age? Elections are only available in local municipalities (counties, townships, towns, etc) where the voting age is set at 18

5 – At what age would someone become an adult (free from parental control)? In regular situations, the age is set at 18 upon completion of secondary education, but the bar could be set lower depending on approval with local social services bureaus and the judicial system.

6 – What types of recreational drugs (if any) are legal? Most recreational drugs, except tobacco and alcohol, are banned.

7 – Can people have guns? Yes, citizens are allowed to purchase firearms, except when restricted by criminal and psychological history, and are required to undergo a six week course in firearm use and safety. However, handguns are the only firearms permitted to be seen in public and require a special license to do so. Anyone caught without such a license is fined and their weapon confiscated.

8 – What is the official full name of your country? What is the informal name? What are people of your nation called Formal: The Northrop-Grumman Corporation// Informal: Northrop-Grumman or The Corporation / Citizens: Grummians

9 – Do you have the death penalty? Yes.

10 – What is the speed limit?
  • School, business, and residential roads – 25 mph
  • Highways designated as a rural rustic road – 35-40 mph
  • Limited access and non-limited access highways – 45-65 mph
  • Interstate highway – Local Traffic Only – 65 mph
  • Interstate highway – Express Lanes – Unlimited in left lanes, slower traffic designated to right lanes

11 – What types of religions would are permitted or restricted? No religions are officially restricted, but there remains sentiment in place that tends to restrict the non-Christian religions.

Which of the following are be legal:

12 – Porn - While some localities do have restrictions in place to limit the distribution of pornographic material, unrestricted internet access as mandated by the Corporate government prevents this from being feasible. The only materials banned are rape and pedophilia.

13 – Prostitution - Banned in all localities and by the Corporate government

14 – Polygamy/Polyandry/Polyamory - Banned in all localities and by the Corporate government

15 – Homosexuality - While legally permitted in urban areas due to a greater degree of liberalization in the population, homosexuality is frowned upon in public places and nearby citizens will generally be non-cooperative with the person. However, in the rest of the nation, this remains banned and punishable by a fine.

16 – Stem cell research - Closely monitored and regulated but new technologies have deemed these methods to be unfruitful and has largely fallen into disuse in recent years.

17 – Human Cloning - Banned in all localities and by the Corporate government.

18 – Cock Fighting? - Banned in all localities and by the Corporate government.

19 – Slavery? - This has been deemed wrongful by the population and has been taken to such lengths as to encourage the Corporate government to free slaves from other nations, when and wherever possible. However, penal servitude is still seen in a positive light and is permitted, but is restricted and monitored to ensure that prisoners are not being harshly treated (as in violating occupational safety regulations)

20 – Hunting? - Permissible and, beyond the requirements for owning and operating a firearm, requires an additional license that is granted upon the completion of the necessary class (deals with proper safety yet again, the appropriate gear to wear, and offers a shooting range filled with pop-up targets that requires one to identify human from animal)

21 – Fishing - Permissible and requires no license to do so, but all standard laws, such as trespassing and theft, are still valid and enforced.

22 – Eating meat? - No laws in place regarding this.

23 – Littering? - Illegal and carries a small fine; however, three violations will typically resort in the court mandating several hours worth of community service in roadside litter pickup

24 – Unisex bathrooms? - These are not illegal, but social mores largely frown upon them and a majority of businesses would not have any.

25 – Suicide? - There are no encoded laws in place to ban the practice, but the court system would most likely deem the person unfit for being in society and send them to a psychiatric institution for further evaluation.

26 – Gay marriage? - Banned in all localities, but no stance has been taken by the Corporate government

27 – Abortion - Again, the differences between urban and rural municipalities appears here with the urban areas permitting it with close regulation (anything beyond the first trimester is banned except in cases where the mother’s life is in danger) and the rural areas outright banning it, which carries a sentence of life in prison if anyone is caught actively trying to perform one within the jurisdiction.

28 – What types of sexual activity (if any) are illegal? While some areas have sought to ban anal sex in efforts to restrict homosexuality, these efforts have not been useful as such actions only go on behind closed doors and away from prying eyes. Otherwise, no sexual activity is banned except in the cases of rape, pedophilia, and neglect in informing one’s partner that one has an STD.

29 – Is your country's/culture clothing optional or mandatory? Mandatory.

30 – Do you have obscenity laws? Depends on the municipality, yet again, but varies so much from area to area that it would be needless to describe it in length. What is normally prescribed to foreign visitors is to refrain from cursing, revealing the breasts and pelvic regions, sexual actions in public, and denouncing religions.

31 – What system do you have for taxes? Progressive world-wide system of income taxation through the Corporate government.

31a – Sales tax? Decided largely upon by municipalities with some having no sales tax on all products within their jurisdiction and the largest being around 9%.

31b – Import/Export tax? Based upon international relations and trade agreements, which varies.

32 – What is the criterion for someone to pass to become a citizen? Except in special circumstances, the regular requirements to become a citizen include a knowledge exam and a health examination, residency within the Corporation for a period of two years, and appropriate background checks. Some optional but beneficial items can be letters of recommendation from a current resident of Northrop-Grumman or allied government official and some documented effort that best aids the Corporation.

33 – What types of people do you allow (or not allow) into your country? Those who have, at any point in time within the entirety of their lives, been a citizen of a blacklisted nation, except those who became citizens prior to the listing of that nation. Other than that, at any time or for whatever reason the immigration department so desires.

34 – What type of government are you? Corporate Diarchy (national level) and a mixed religious and liberal democracy (local level)

35 – To what degree is your government allowed to censor or restrict the media? Currently, it can restrict whatever materials it sees fit, but regularly does so.

36 – Aside from laws - what sort of unofficial (and unenforced) cultural rules and traditions do you have? Most of the major ones have been mentioned above, but if I have any that suddenly springs back into mind, I’ll edit it in.

The Hidden Empire.

1 - What is the legal drinking age? Upon physical maturity. Repeated abuse of privilege results in disowning, with the number of repetitions permitted varying based on the severity of the abuse.

2 - Driving age? Upon learning the means by which to consistently ensure the mount's obedience, even in a panic situation.

3 - Age of sexual consent? Upon physical maturity. Coercing sex from a fellow elf or a fellow elf's property is punishable by being disowned.

4 - Voting age? Voting? I guess humans need something to feel important when they aren't the alpha.

5 - At what age would someone become an adult (free from parental control)? - When they're able to hunt for themselves, have built a home to reside in seperate from their childhood dwelling, and have acquired a mate that they are compatible with for reproductive purposes.

6 - What types of recreational drugs (if any) are legal? - Who needs drugs for recreation when you have hunting, parties, and humans?

7 - Can people have guns? If they can make the weapon, if they can use the weapon without killing themself, then they can keep it. If they use their weapon without provocation, namely the defense of one's health and/or pride, then they're at risk of disowning.

8 - What is the official full name of your country? What is the informal name? What are people of your nation called Formal: The Hidden Empire of the Elven Clans ruling the Woodlands of Golugan and the Domain Within Reach of the Forest Fold // Informal: Golugan, the Empire, or the Clans / Citizens: Elves or Clanselves

9 - Do you have the death penalty? Those that are disowned are legally animals, animals are hunted for food. You can figure it out from there.

10 - What is the speed limit? The what now?

11 - What types of religions would are permitted or restricted? So long as you don't harm anyone without consent or cause, you can follow whatever moral guidelines you wish.

12- Porn - See 11.

13-Prostitution - ...Humans can't get it for free? At the very least, you can get someone to loan you a huma- oh, right.

14-Polygamy/ Polyandry/ Polyamory - Formal ceremonies are strictly monogomous due to the cultural signifigance of lineage, but they don't restrict side relationships.

15-Homosexuality - This is one of the reasons side relationships are legally and morally accepted.

16-Stem cell research - Human solutions for human problems. It's difficult to restrict something that isn't relevant.

17-Human Cloning - Human methods, it's easier just to steal their children.

18-Cock Fighting? Is that what you humans are calling yourselves now? Or are you making another jab at our attitudes toward you? Either way, it's legal so long as all participants and/or property owners are consenting/honorbound.

19-Slavery? - I suppose that's what humans would call what we're doing to their children. We prefer to think of them as pets, though.

20-Hunting? It's not a hobby; it's a way of life.

21-Fishing - This one's a hobby.

22-Eating meat? We hunt our disowned, and we need to get rid of the aging humans somehow. See also 20.

23-Littering? Waste is a human thing... Except bodily excrement. Yes, even elves must relieve themselves of waste. Our fertilizer is better.

24-Unisex bathrooms? Bathrooms?

25-Suicide? - Why do you think alcoholism carries a death penalty?

26 - Gay marriage? - Formal unions are strictly for reproductive purposes. That being said, nothing wrong with side relationships.

27-Abortion - ...Are you humans insane? High reproductive rate is your primary strength!

28- What types of sexual activity (if any) are illegal ? See 3.

29-Is your country's/culture clothing optional or mandatory? Technically there are no laws regarding public decency, but nudity tends to be impractical when active. Difficult to carry one's weapon, for example.

30-Do you have obscenity laws? If so - how would you define "obscene". Don't let humans see you unless they need to be communicated with or are presently property. The cost of failure is destruction of the witness property and justified dishonor.

31-What system do you have for taxes?
If you can kill it, the remains are yours. If you can create it, the creation is yours. The price of knowledge is to pay it forward to future generations.

32-What is the criterion for someone to pass to become a citizen? Competence, intellect, and fertility.

33-What types of people do you allow (or not allow) into your country? Since you're assuming humans are people, humans aren't allowed except as property. Foreign elves are allowed if they respect local law. Nonelven nonhuman sapients are judged on a case by case basis.

34-What type of government are you? Council of Provincial Clan Leaders

35-To what degree is your government allowed to censor or restrict the media? It would probably have a great deal of capability in this if gossip and magical communication could be regulated.

36-Aside from laws - what sort of unofficial (and unenforced) cultural rules and traditions do you have? – If your elders give you advice, listen.
In the old days, when RP was active, MT nations had elves. I'm going to try to revive quality RP by bringing elves back to MT. Of course, these elves are going to be sociopaths that view humans as animals, but that's the sort of conflict that helps drive a story. Oh, and the child-nappings.

The Eternal Realm of Valanora (I must note that despite their being a "nation" called Valanora, it is in fact an IC government that rules the ESF, Vyinta, and Dark Templara.)

1 - What is the legal drinking age? At age eight, all citizens within Valanora may be allowed to consume alcohol with their parents or guardians present, and be free to consume such without their parents or guardians present at age 15.

2 - Driving age? Cars are expressly forbidden apart from Senators and the few patrician houses left. In those cases, it would be at an age of thirty, after passing an IQ and divers education exam. An IQ of at least 100 is required to obtain a license.

3 - Age of sexual consent? Seventeen, except in the cases in which one has a mental illness that would not allow them to give informed consent.

4 - Voting age? Sixteen.

5 - At what age would someone become an adult (free from parental control)? - Dependent upon species, for humans it is seventeen, for elves it is twenty, for dwarves it is eighteen, and all other species at age nineteen.

6 - What types of recreational drugs (if any) are legal? - Pot, Caffeine, and Alcohol.

7 - Can people have guns? Ownership is a Legal Requirement for Citizens - Yes, but only after a thorough background check and proof of need has been met.

8 - What is the official full name of your country? What is the informal name? What are people of your nation called Formal: The Eternal Realm of Valanora// Informal: Valanora or The ESF / Citizens: Vanorians.

9 - Do you have the death penalty? Yes, but it is very scarcely used.

10 - What is the speed limit? Inside the cities, 35 miles per hour, outside the cities it is 75 miles per hour.

11 - What types of religions would are permitted or restricted? All are officially permitted, and none restricted, however there is still a a smalll disdain for anyone not following Elunism.

Which of the following are be legal: Most Are Legal

12- Porn - images of pediphillia & rape are illegal

13-Prostitution - Heavily regulated and taxed, popular in some areas of the nation unpopular in others.

14-Polygamy/ Polyandry/ Polyamory - Allowed, but frowned upon.

15-Homosexuality - the matters of whom one is attracted to does not concern the government.

16-Stem cell research - Moved beyond in technology and is only used as an example of previous methods in various sciences.

17-Human Cloning - Allowed, but strictly controlled by the Senate and the Great Leader. Only used in times of emergency or tragedy.

18-Cock Fighting? Strictly illegal.

19-Slavery? -Illegal.

20-Hunting? Legal but a license is required, and must be reapplied for every other year.

21-Fishing - Very Popular, and required the same license requirements of hunting.

22-Eating meat? It is not frowned upon, but the majority of the citizenry prefer chicken and fish to red meat. A small but significant percantage of the population is vegan.

23-Littering? Illegal and could cause the perpetrator to a maximum fine of 10 VSC (US$5,000) and a year in jail.

24-Unisex bathrooms? Common except at pools or water recreation areas.

25-Suicide? - Almost unheard of - Euthanasia / Right to Death with Diginity - legal

26 - Gay marriage? - Legal as long as it gets the license exactly like heterosexual marriages.

27-Abortion - It is legal, but done only in cases of rape or where the health of the mother is at stake.

28- What types of sexual activity (if any) are illegal ? Rape and pediophilia.

29-Is your country's/culture clothing optional or mandatory? It is optional in all of the country, it is mostly just seen in the southern half of the country. While it is optional, the odds of coming across someone in the nude is estimated to be at a one in one million chance.

30-Do you have obscenity laws? If so - how would you define "obscene". - No.

31-What system do you have for taxes?
- Income tax? the entirety of ones income in sent to the government, which is then used to pay the "living cost" of you/your family. After that is processed, the government takes a flat rate of 50% of the remaining earnings, and redistributes the left over earnings to the individual.

31aSales tax? None, as it is calculated in "living cost" in the income tax.

31bImport/Export tax? Varies on the product and where it is going to or coming from. All products going to or coming from inside the region are exempt.

32-What is the criterion for someone to pass to become a citizen? Being a native, passing a citizenship test, and/or having worked inside the country on a work permit for four or more years.

33-What types of people do you allow (or not allow) into your country? All foreigners are initially welcomed to Valanora. However, if in prior visits you have shown offense to the country or its values, you are denied entry. If citizens from your country are known to be violent, then you may be denied entry as well (see Northern Bettians being denied entry to Valanora during World Cup 39, where Valanora hosted).

34-What type of government are you? A parliamentary Monarchy with a majority of power being placed in the hands of the Monarch (also called Great Leader/(P/M)atriarch).

35-To what degree is your government allowed to censor or restrict the media? If and only if it jeopardizes the security and stability of the citizenry, military operatives, or is seen as a threat to someones life.

36-Aside from laws - what sort of unofficial (and unenforced) cultural rules and traditions do you have? Traditions include that no one is to work during Harmony Festival.

OOC: I love answering these as the swarm.

IC:
1 - What is the legal drinking age? Any Swarmling may partake of Biomass according to its needs from the moment it attains life. We have heard of Alcohol, but to us, it is simply another form of Biomass, and does not affect us as it does Lesser Species.

2 - Driving age? From the moment Evolution is complete, any Hive Ship may drive itself, according to the will of The Overmind.

3 - Age of sexual consent? There is no such thing as Sex in The swarm. This does not apply to the Queen and the Cerebrates who have adopted a form similar to hers. As she is already considered an adult by the majority of cultures, this question is irrelevant. All others are produced by The Hives, and Hive Ships according to need. Hives and Hive Ships may produce Swarmlings once Mutation, or Evolution, as neccessary, is complete.

4 - Voting age? The Overmind is the will of the swarm.

5 - At what age would someone become an adult (free from parental control)? All are controlled by the will of The Overmind.

6 - What types of recreational drugs (if any) are legal? The Swarm does not partake in recreational drugs, as they too are formed into Biomass.

7 - Can people have guns? have? Dear Khorne their BORN with their guns!

8 - What is the official full name of your country? What is the informal name? What are people of your nation called Formal: The Dominion of The Eternal Swarm. The Eternal Swarm, or simply, The Swarm. Swarmlings.

9 - Do you have the death penalty? Swarmlings are controlled by The Overmind. We have no need for the Death Penalty.

10 - What is the speed limit? What is this "Speed Limit" you speak of?

11 - What types of religions would are permitted or restricted? The Swarm was made by The Gods of Chaos, and worships them faithfully.

Which of the following are be legal:

12- Porn - Not needed, though the Queen and the Cerebrates enjoy it quite regularly.

13-Prostitution Not needed.

14-Polygamy/ Polyandry/ Polyamory Not Needed

15-Homosexuality - If your referring to the increasing rate at which the Queen has been trying to get the other two cerebrates into her room for some "Quality Time alone together", then she is getting closer to success.

16-Stem cell research - We are the uncontested Masters of Evolution and Mutation. Stem Cell research is to us, what the ABC's are to your newborns.

17-Human Cloning - We eat humans, why would we want to clone them?

18-Cock Fighting? What is a Cock and why would we fight with it? Is it a powerful weapon of some sort?

19-Slavery - Why would we keep slaves? We have mindless drones for work. Slaves would only be eaten.

20-Hunting? We enjoy being hunted immensely, and encourage it at every opportunity.

21-Fishing - see above

22-Eating meat? MeatMeat, vegetable matter, its all one in the same.

23-Littering? We have no Litter, we use all that we own, without exception. That which is unusable, is recycled.

24-Unisex bathrooms ? What is a bathroom?

25-Suicide? - Very Common, and highly encouraged, especially in battles where one is surrounded. The act of summoning The Great Old Ones also counts as suicide, for all parties involved must kill themselves for the rites to succeed.

26 - Gay marriage? - We have no need of such things.

27-Abortion - Why would we abort the unborn? As we are controlled by The Overmind, and this has never happened, nor will it ever happen, it is safe to say it is illegal.

28- What types of sexual activity (if any) are illegal ? Having Sex without warning The Overmind to prepare defenses against the peaks of sexual ecstasy have been forbidden to The Queen by The Overmind, as the last time it happened, an entire Hive Fleet spontaneously combusted for no other apparent reason. We are not equipped to handle such sensations, and it is not asking all that much to give a little warning that she doesn't kill us in the throes of passion.

29-Is your country's/culture clothing optional or mandatory? We wear Chitinous plating that we grow naturally. It is our armor against attack. It makes no sense to not wear it. Though as one might guess, the Queen can remove hers at will. She has also taught the cerebrates this trick, now that they share her form.

30-Do you have obscenity laws? What should we consider obscene?

31-What system do you have for taxes? What are taxes?

31aSales tax? Again, what are Taxes?

31bImport/Export tax? Export Tax? Import Tax? We go from world to world and strip it of all life and all that supports it, turning it into Biomass to feed and nourish us.

32-What is the criterion for someone to pass to become a citizen? Assimilation. But first The Overmind must find you worthy of Assimilation. This has only happened once, when The Queen ceased being human, and was reborn into The Swarm.

33-What types of people do you allow (or not allow) into your country? We are Equal oppotunity Eaters. Everyone is tasty, especially with a dash of salt.

34-What type of government are you? Collective Consciousness.

35-To what degree is your government allowed to censor or restrict the media? The Overmind knows all, and shares information as it sees fit.

36-Aside from laws - what sort of unofficial (and unenforced) cultural rules and traditions do you have? We have no cultural rules, but it is considered impolite to not pay attention when The Queen chooses to share her lovely voice with us in song. We have also learned she does not like it when we enter her rooms without knocking, as though such activities as we have caught her in should somehow be shameful.
