Ooops, big mistake in the rules, or more like, big mistake from my part in informing everyone that moving populations into empty domains without being able to supply them with food will get them killed, and since the road networks are the only way to deliver food to another domain, some of your populations will starve to death.

However, because the rules does not specify whether movement comes before food production/consumption, I'll allow pops to consume the food they need at any part of the turn, thus allowing for the populations moved after they have "eaten" (lets say they brough some food with themselves). But even then, everyone will have to rush out a road network or get some wealth production running to feed populations in underdevelopped domains.

City of Vulnier: Epoch 1

In the valley where the city laid, even before the sun could shine it's rays over the mountains, the Tribe of Ice were already hard at work. Already receiving orders, the people plowed and tended the fields in which their nation depended on if to survive. All could hope, that this harvesting season would be bountiful enough to feed the city in which they stayed.

The tribe believed in but one God to do so, Asgar. The creator of war, who taught all people, by his divine glory, to fight and hunt with honor and valor. Creator of Agriculture, who gave the people food in which to survive and worship him. They would build a place to pray a hope, that Asgar would not lead them astray,in this day and age.

"No longer we shall fight alone, no longer we must use weapons against one another. Today, The Dwarves of the North will stand as one. Today The Dwarves and face enemies that try to knock at our doorstep. We must not falter, we must not waver, we are The Dwarves of the North, strong as we can ever be. We will mine every mineral on this land and seek exploration where ever fate takes us. We are The Dwarves of the North! The Pride of our kin!" The King shouted as the dwarves shouted in a roar of happiness.
Once, they were separate tribes, seeing out to survive in this godforsaken wasteland that some travelers call the Polar Permafrost, if there were any travelers. Most couldn't even make it a day in this cold if people weren't prepared. However, the Dwarves were ready, They understood the north in ways that newcomers didn't. And so, the dwarves would teach the newcomers if they were able to make it to the tribes alive. The only problem was they were too bust fighting among themselves. Years of blood shed and terror can be seen in the dead frozen carcasses in the snow.
However, now the dwarves joined together for peace and celebration of the unification of the tribes. Instead of bloodshed with another tribe, they eat and talk with one another. When they want to fight, they fight not for their nation's honor, but their honor. That or a drinking competition that would hurt no soul. The Dwarves were lively as their king, their ruler of the Dwarven Alliance, S'huall Reun stands watch in his tower in the mountain. He only dreamed about this when he was a child, but it there he was, the Head Leader of the Dwaven Alliance, in his city of T'hall. There was no word that could describe his feeling about all of this but summarizing he can, he was proud of his accomplishment.

Matriarch Penthesilea smiled, having finally united the surrounding tribes under Amazon rule. While this was certainly a grand accomplishment, this was no time for rest. There was simply too much to do in regards to making this new civilization survive. Penthesilea knew that food was the lifeblood of any civilization and it needed to be created thusly. Her royal advisor came to her this epoch and said to her "M'lady, Amazonia has a rich ecology! Right now, we can produce enough food to feed 1000 people every epoch."

Penthesilea responded "Then we must utilize that fully. Right now, I want 1 wealth spent to produce more food and 2 farmers to be sent to some of our fertile land. Obviously for that, we'll need another to build a farm." She begins counting on her fingers to see what she could do to feed her people. "We are fortunate enough to live in such a luscious rainforest, so we can get even more food from that. All of this gives just enough food to prevent people from starving and we still have 4 more people to utilize."

Some people had the idea to create a new ranged weapon, one that fires pointed sticks (archery) which I believe deserves some looking into. The last population should

The explorers stumble upon an especially unforgiving taigan forest who's trees completely block all sunlight! To top that, the trees are immensely sturdy and can't seem to catch fire no matter what. Building roads through these forests will be an extremely difficult task, and until it is done, all armies passing through this domain has a chance to get lost in the forest and die.

-1 Fertile land
-2 Ironwood Raw material source (exploitable with metal working)
-Building a road network costs 12 Raw Labor
-Special: Mushrooms. The forest is littered with mushrooms the size of a dwarf! +1 Food each epoch after colonized.

Epoch 1:

Skaavo;

Set 2 Population to gain knowledge- Metalworking in 5 Epochs
Set 2 Population to develop farms on fertile land- (TG me exactly how much this would be with my bonus)
Set 1 Population to exploit lumber mill- (Increase in production i'll assume?)

(Work in progress)

Lands of the Kocha

The explorers sighed to a man in relief as the encroaching beasts retreated, but then a forward scout reported a curious thing several hours later; the beasts had been sighted again, holding what appeared to be tools near some sort of hill. Seleucas was puzzled by this discovery. Nowhere was such a beast mentioned in the knowledge of the folk of speech and song, but obvious the furry creatures must be somewhat intelligent, if not Singers.

Contact, then, to gauge their wisdom. Taking up his two cubit spear, Mahedris the company yoeman approaches the beasts, and then to their apparent consternation he launched into a full deep base recitation in lilting High Chant of the Lay of Feris and Scylla, his dulcet tones rolling across the hills.

The Nearby Fields of Kocha

The Kocha looked at the tall beast in wonder as it began to chant. They weren't familiar with the words but they felt an urge to react to the strange yet melodic noises. One of the children, who had joined the adults, stepped away from the group and looked at the man. The others were to scared to grab the young boy and one of them began a silent prayer that the boy would be safe.

Lands of the Kocha
First Era of the Learned Lord

Mahedris continued his song, turning to the stanza when the Young Warrior met the Maiden Fair, but slowly his heart began to sink. Though the creatures seemed moved by his words, and the melody, as any beast would be, no sign did they show of true intelligence, of the soul. What a pity, but such was life. Slowly his song began to fade, and eventually faltered. He shrugged, and turned to rejoin the rest of the exploration party.

Temple of the All-Seeing God, Kharbarinth, Dominion of the Dawn-Singers
Second Era

Men could walk from Kharbarinth even to the water of the Synth along the beaten cut roads of the Singers, paved with slight white flagstones that gleamed under the noon sun. It was well that men had given thought to the future, for without their foresight many would have starved. As it was though, there was just enough food for all, and more work would have to be put to the test ere ought could be accomplished. More land for the Folk, more hidden vales and dells that would echo with song of life and light, to be tamed by the people that would call it home. More, for their divine destiny had yet to be achieved.

The Kocha Lands

The boy was hastily brought back into the group after the strange creature, and his song, left the area and was out of sight. The Kocha nervously returned back to work stealing glaces towards where the man left hoping he would not return, the children in the fields were moved back to the city where their safety could be guaranteed. As the work dragged on one of the younger workers, fascinated by the chanting began to chant a tune he had thought of. Others began to pick up the chant and it soon filled the work fields, spreading from person to person.

(An example of the chant)

-1 Gray Stone Raw Material
Special: Sheep. Gain either +1 Food or +1 Raw material each epoch.
Special: Ruin. Can be plundered for 2 Wealth by the domain's holder. The ruin then disappears. If it remains in play, something may be eventually learned from it.

The Imperator meditated inside the confines of the First Temple. It was a sanctuary from the outside, a small stone pyramid that the Nine on Earth used to meditate on the course of things. One of the few places that was truly silent in Skyshard. He would almost be tempted to call it 'peaceful', but nowhere in Skyshard could truely be called peaceful. It was not a peaceful place as a whole, but that didn't bother the Nine on Earth.

The City of Botu

Zanauf, the city's leader had gotten up on a podium and looked over the crowd of workers. He had a bold new plan that would help preserve his people and immortalize them as a great people. As he explained his new idea to the people, he was given an odd look but when the meeting finished the crowd as decided that it could benefit them immensely and agreed to work on it. The same amount of people lazily returned to the fields while the remained stayed behind to build this food storage building.

Schwarzwald - First Era

"Sadly, my father is in his deathbed, my family hates me, I have neither food, nor friends that are alive." Joseph said, looking at the ground. "I'm sorry about jumping down on you. No offense, but I thought you might be a creature, so I had to take the offensive. Can you tell me your name?" He asked. He stroked the Tapir that was asleep in her arms. I should try to get on her good side. She would probably make a pretty good ally. He thought. He pulled out his bow and shot at a nearby snake, shooting it through the skull with one arm.

"My name is Evangeline but you can call me Eva if you want, I do recall saying so hey! you have a good aim" answered Eva looking a the dead snake. "Anyway, you want a job? It might not be much of a good thing to ask but I know where a nest of creatures are, not too much to get rid of but the place would make a good headquarters for people fighting them, I'll give you some nice stuff and a place to stay in the headquarters, oh an I'll come with you, can't let you go by your self, so what do you say?" asked Eva pulling her sword out and smiling.

"Sure, I guess we're allies now. Can we get some food real quick, I haven't eaten in what feels like days." Joseph said, stomach growling. He extended his hand to show that they were allies, hoping she would shake his hand. He then retracted his hand back, realizing it wasn't necessary. He grabbed her hand and led her toward the town, also holding his short sword. With good enough aim, which seemed to come naturally to Joseph, would put any beast to sleep within minutes. They were in front of a nearby convenience store. The sign was starting to tilt, the windows were boarded up, and the area reeked of death. "You want me to go in first?"

Eva looked at Joseph and smiled. "Come one we're allies, we go in together" answered Eva pushing the half eaten door. She put her sword away and took out her longbow and aimed it around. "Come on, if we're lucky the creature that might sleep here will make a good practice dummy" answered Eva. The inside was dark and there was not a glimmer of light. "Hey do have somthing to light this place up? just so we can take a look around" asked Eva looking back a Joseph.

Schwarzwald - Second Era

Otto arrives with The Emperor Franz Joseph's party and their escorts. He let the Emperor and the Members of the Council speak together first, though he wished to have a word with him. Despite the somewhat shaky relationship between nobles and the commoner, the southwest was a calm region since the pirates were exterminated by the Emperor iron fist.

However, he remembered why he disliked the City upon arriving earlier today. It's boring, opulent, calm, rich. It is unlike anything else in the continent, and in many ways a foil to the south's rigidly native customs and ways. The natives are not people to be trifled with, and they rarely forget a grudge. The Recklinghausen especially waver between acting like cunning sneaks and passionate fools, but they are always dangerous. He brought with him a small party, only 3 knights and a few more men. Space was limited on the boats for the extra lords who chose to join Franz Joseph.

Guests from all across the West and beyond thanked the Great Sun they had manage to evade the maelstrom, more than a few comparing the brashness of the inclement weather to their brusque host… though The Emperor seemed to be in a jovial enough mood that night. For wine flowed, the choicest dishes were served by the platter, and despite his weeks of abstinence, who was he not to indulge at his Councillor’s wedding? And what a wedding, the Emperor above all storms thought.

Cassandra looked more beautiful than he had ever seen her before, resplendent in a white dress upon which pale silver griffins seemed to dance, intertwined, their eyes glittering moonstones. Her red tresses were piled on her head in some fashion one of her handmaidens had no doubt picked up in the capital - Franz had seen plenty of young ladies at court with similar styles, though none could match the effortless grace with which Cassandra held herself. He saw his step - sister Adelaide a brief, encouraging smile across her from his other side, and felt proud of them both. Both doing what is best for the family. After all, to be involved in a political intrigue is no small thing, and both of his step sisters were admirable, in his eyes.

“Shame Joseph couldn’t make it,” Franz Joseph said to his son as a brief aside.

“Hunting is as good a reason as any, I suppose,” Cassandra replied with a smile, at which his brother chuckled into his goblet.

Pleased with the proceedings, Franz Joseph looked down the hall at the great tables, groaning under the weight of a hundred dishes and more. Guests from far and wide laughed and bellowed, chatted and whispered - all under the eyes of the Great Sun. Tearing his gaze from the proceedings, Franz wiped his fingers on his cloth doublet - White, in colour, with little decoration but a small red circle adorning each side of his chest. He caught the eye of the young Nightingale groom, and raised his goblet in salute.

Nightingale spoke up as he walked in "Your Grace. I hope your time in the Capital were not as stressful as mine."

"Don't mention the Capital in this cheerful place."

With his food supplies stable and his industry beginning to work, the warlord ordered his servants to build a shrine in honour to the good of Winter. He knew that his people would need something more than just a Warlord, something divine, to look up to.

Arcea,Isles of Drake
King Markus the Simple sat on his Onyx throne,a relic from a bygone era in the ruins of a old castle at the center of the small quiet village of Arcea .Outside the peasants were tilling the fertile soil, yet the decay of Arcea was in his mind, long ago a catastrophic event had sent his kingdom ages back, according to the wise men the Maker had caused the foundations of Mount Eternus itslef to shake and rain fire and ash on the heretic Imperium.Markus saw this has punishment of his ancestors for their sinful ,decadent ways but the Maker was a forgiving God and now was the time to rebuild, and the green fruitful plains of Arcea yearned to be tamed and cultivated by the hands of man once again. Also from the seas many a bountiful fish where caught, and new children where born Arcea would not go hungry today.

City of Vulnier: Epoch 2

As the shrines final stone was being placed, one could already see the beauty and work that was put into it to make look elegant. And in the middle of it all a beautiful sculptural of Asgar was their, watching with stone eyes, as if to see who was praising him. Invar the Thoughtful, the leader of this tiny city, addressed a group of five spiritual leaders, telling hem what they were to do for now on. "I give you all the job of protecting and keeping of the Shrine of Asgar. You shall make sure the shrine stays as grand as it is now, and listen for the wisdom of Asgar if he ever does speak. And remember, he is always watching."Pointing to the sculptural of Asgar.

As he walked away, he wonderd what lay beyond the mountains, and beyond the cold, cold frost. Even though he needed to organize the next harvesting season, he did set up a meeting of his most trained and trusted scouts in his hut.

"I have an important task for you all". Ingvar said to his scouts." I need all of you to see what lies beyond the valley and the mountains, to the south of here. I know that this valley wont provide for us forever, and it is because of this that i must see if the land south of us could provide for more of our population."

The scouts, talking among themselves, agreed, but asked one question."What should we do if we meet other... things out there?"

"Greet them and offer them peace, but do not reveal our land unless they can be trusted. That is all."

Rayen, City of the Apocalypse

With the shrine for the Apocalypse up people could now dedicate their thoughts to figuring out things like how to ride the majestic horses or how to solidify the thoughts of the Apocalypse. The horses while interesting and could be used for many things were probably not as important as solidifying the thoughts. The thoughts could get the city of Rayen to believe in the Apocalypse and use the thoughts to get the population to be motivated. Meanwhile 1 population worked to build part of a manufactory to build industrial products to build things like a granary.

While most of the population worked on the farms, the explorers continued to travel north where they heard there was a steppes that bordered the sea. The region that they had left they decided to name Gintaro because of the strange red/orange substance where things were stuck in it. It was a poor region but it could be useful later on.

4 pop work to produce 6 food
1 pop produces 1 thought
1 pop puts 1 raw labor towards a manufactory
Explorer goes north to the steppe bordering the ocean.

The Queux

The land was hot and dusty. But the river provided life. Muad'dib watched as the farmers worked their fields. The grains were being harvested and put up in piles. The farmers were very kind to their King, who watched the process with fascination. It was the groundwork for his nation. Everyone came from the soil. They would return to it. On his tour, the Muad'dib would travel into the city, or what was really a collection of mud shacks. Not even hovels.

The mud bricks of the Manufactory were laid when those who didn't have to work the fields. It was a very simple building. But in it, cargo was made. Taxes and commerce was also an activity that the King watched. It helped him feed his people, and sat in his coffeer. As more children were born, the Muad'dib would have to deal with them. The reason for the first wars was because of food. Was there a way to get more?

The Dark Fields, North-Eastern Outskirts of Kharbarinth
Second Epoch

Drums beat, rumbling across the hills and dells, and with the clink of copper scale-mail the expedition departed. With the tramp of their studded sandals on stone rank after rank of Guards marched north and east, cries of hope from the surrounding crowds accompanied by flowers thrown on the cobbles before the military men heralding their departure. At the fore of the fifty man band strode Galatus the Fell-Handed, Brightlord of the Western March, and his beard was as black as a night without stars. Their task was simple, a charge from the Highprince himself and the Choir. Beyond the marches of the Heights of Grinding Ice, beyond the Vale of New Rivers, the records showed that a strange race of fur-men had been discovered by the forefathers. Speculation in the Collegiate about whether such creatures had souls was indeterminate, and so the men of the Expedition marched, to discover more of the world Eru had made.

The Seat of Knowledge, Shrine of the All-Seeing God, Kharbarinth
Third Epoch

It was a time of comparative stagnation, as the chroniclers would record it. With population near the carrying capacity of the lands of Kharbarinth, the death rate and birth rate rapidly became synonymous, even as the folk of the Dawn looked hungrily at places farther afield. Sons inherited their father's lands, but second sons wished for places of their own, and soon the pressures for expansion would become too great to tame any longer with words or political action. Domestic livestock had the people discovered in the fertile vales to the east, but also tales had reached the seat of the Highprince of acres of wild grain and grazing land to the south, out of the hills into the high flatlands of what some explorers called the Steppes. It would take a generation to ordain, but the people began to gather, to prepare to make a great migration and exert their manifest destiny across Arda.

Epoch 2

Matriarch Penthesilea sighed when she received word of the discovered domain. "Is the northwest really that inhospitable?" She asked the messenger that gave her this information.
"Yes ma'am. It would take a lot of effort to make that domain even remotely habitable.
"If this is true, then have them explore the area just north of Penthesilea. Perhaps it is better."
The other citizens begin work on a manufactory, think and farm at their own request.

3 population farms
1 population thinks more about archery
1 population begins work on a manufactory
1 population scouts the area north of Penthesilea

The valley of Zadox. Silent and pleasant, only the Cervans inhabit this land and it is the only land they know. They rarely ventured outside its protective mist and know little of the world outside, but that might change very soon.

Since the invention of agriculture, the cervan have found plenty of excess time to craft tools and decorative trinkets and decided to construct a large hall for the sole purpose of making things out of wood.

No time IC now, but I'll write it later.
Epoch 1:
4 tribes tend the soil => Food for everyone
1 tribe and 2 RL from starting domain make a manufactory
1 Tribe builds a new farm.

Epoch 2:
4 Tribes tend the soil =>Food for 6
1 Tribe chops wood
1 Tribe produces 1 IO in manufactory using the wood produced.

1 IO is contributed to a shrine.

Domain list:

Zadox
-3 Fertile Land - 3 Farms built
-1 Copper Raw Material Source (requires metal working)
-1 Lumber Raw Material source - Being extracted
Special: Veil of Fog. +2 Strength for defending.
Special: Swamps. 2 Additional Fertile land may be made available at the price of 6 raw labor each.

The elders soon learned that the forest to forests to the south are of extreme beauty. Cherry trees blossom in the spring along the colorful streams rolling down the hills, bearing gold nuggets! But the explorers couldn't help to feel that they are not alone in that land... there is something lurking in the dark.

-3 Fertile Land
-1 Lumber Raw material.
Special: River of Gold. +1 Wealth Each epoch for a single era. Domain's holder may choose when to activate.
Special: Environmental Beauty. +1 Development.
Special: ???

The City of Botu

Zanauf was one of the first of the Kocha to watch as the surplus of the crops were stored in the large imposing building. A large group of Kocha were recently old enough to effectively work in the fields and were being trained, although they weren't much help at all. Zanauf couldn't help but feel nervous about the strange creatures the farmers described and wondered if he should prepare to create a group to fight the creatures if need be.

The wide steppes offer little of interest to the eyes of the Dawn-Singers. The grassy flatland reached as far as the eyes could see. The boredom one could feel while traveling through these lands is insurmountable, good thing the explorers didn't go alone, least they might have committed suicide ore gone mad.

-2 Fertile Land.
-No Raw Materials.
-Nothing Special.
