Admittedly I've only spent three hours or so playing paintball, but I found that those more experienced with the game tended to do these anyway (also me because I occasionally pay attention in this thread), and I'm actually surprised that paintball grenades and maneuver and cover elements count as unfair advantages.

Field rules and local practice vary so much it's almost hilarious. It also depends who turns out on a given day. I've been out airsofting on days when it's just the old crew and everyone functions like a well-oiled machine, while on others it's like the bus to summer camp showed up and it's kiddie hour. Lots of kids with really expensive guns their parents bought for them bundled up with enough layers to stop an actual bullet, who don't call their hits but will keep lighting you up well after you've called your own.

Rules can change style of play too. FPS caps, whether running is allowed, full vs. semi-auto, etc.

I'd love to go to one of those giant games, since the fields in Hawaii are all really small, and airsoft doesn't seem to be too popular in this part of the east coast.

Sieuxerrian and Dnieguan MAS Mle. 64/AvK m/64Sr

Originally designed and produced in Sieuxerr in the early 1960s, the MAS Mle. 64 entered service with Dnieguan expeditionary forces as their role in supporting Sieuxerrian forces in Kolenomai grew. Receiving the designation AvK m/64sr, the AvK filled the roll of the previous Ksp m/21-39. The light weight of 6.4 kilograms loaded with a 60 round aluminum magazine provided increased firepower at even lower mass than the KsP, which tipped the scale at 8.45kg with a 30 round magazine. The rifle supplemented a single squad AvG-3 in addition, transforming individual squads to five AvG-3 rifles, a signle KsP-58, and two AvK m/64sr rifles. While lacking the same range and power of 6.5x55mm, the 5.65mm cartridge proved to be capable of reaching to 600m reliably while producing less recoil and being 40% lighter.

The standard load of a gunner was 8+1 60 round magazines loaded with five 72 grain full metal jacket projectiles and a single 40m delayed orange tracer in sequence, chargers were supplied in 12 round batteries. the versions pictured here come from the Dnieguan 62nd Volunteer Expeditionary Rifle brigade, 3rd Reconnisance Squadron, F Troop (top) and the Sieuxerrian 13e RDP (bottom). To emulate their Sieuxerrian allies, Dnieguan troops painted the term "Area forbidden" on their rifle in Cyrillic-derived Sieuxerrian as a reminder to issue a warning before firing; other common phrases included Couchez-vous, Putain, and arrêt.

I'm kinda dicking around with a family of grenades to be fired from... something. The current idea was a XM25 alike, upped to a 30mm round. I've been looking at the 40mm family clan goddamn bloodline, for an understanding as to how these things function. The problem I'm having is coming up with a decent muzzle velocity between the XM25's 210 m/s (absurd for a 30mm sized round) and 76 m/s (too slow I feel for a not!XM25).

Definitely more reading in my immediate future, what is sleep!

EDIT: I realize now if 76 m/s is too slow for my tastes, using the High/Low Pressure setup from a 40mm is probably not a good idea.

As per above firearm, I love how the whole layout stinks of the 60's. Also hon hon baguette.
Already looking at some pics of the 30x29mm Grenade, it looks like the Russians answer was just a small cartridge (compared to the projectile at least), whereas all the 40mm (American albeit) grenades have that weird pressure chamber thing right in the base.
