[The Dutch Hegemony]

THE GREAT WAR

The Great War started in the year 1900 with the tensions between the many Imperial Powers of the world and local regional powers trying to gain an advantage. While at first, a diplomatic resolution was expected, the tensions escalated and a war ensued, which turned out to be much bloodier than any other war ever before.

At first it was a regional conflict of East Persia and Greater Konstantinople alone, but nations such as the Dragomerian Islands jumped it at the grave insult by the Konstantinopleans to the other powers. Yurizlansia, a staunch ally of Greater Konstantinople, then sided with its fellow members of the Athens Pact.

The situation really broke down when Greater Konstantinople annexed Crimea (which had a Greek majority, greek being a sizable culture of their Republic) and when attack of Alshr (Komminlandic colony) started.

The Dutch Empire could not tolerate this anymore, and mobiized its military to defend the East Persians and Komminlandic. Then it called its Messyrian allies to the war. This quickly came to be not only a war of attrition, but a brutal playground to test the new weaponry and strategies of the coming century.

It is blurry who actually started the war, both sides blaming each other. Konstantinopleans blaming the Imperialistic powers while the Coalition blaming Konstantinoplean "Hypocritical Expansion".

The Coalited Powers

This is a loose alliance of Imperial (but still democratic save a few exceptions) Powers, claiming to be defending their interests against the rising unjustified Konstantinoplean expansion. The following nations have been fightning in the Coalited side. Other nations may eventually join this rapidly-growing side:

The Athens Pact

This is a firm alliance of the Yurizlansian and Konstantinoplean nations, fightning against what they claim to be a rightful struggle against Imperialism. Other nations may come in to join this pact.

Dragomerian Front
The Dragomerian forces, which had invaded a region of Konstantinople called Syria, had decided to head south to reinforce Komminlandic forces in Israel. The Dragomerian forces were pulling ahead of the Konstantinople forces a few hours behind them. The race was now on to make it into Israel and refortify their positions there.

FRONTS

For the sake of RP Organization, here I will be listing the major fightning warzones in the area:

The Territory of Alshr

Mainly located in North Africa and the Middle East, the Suez Canal has became a great point of tensions among all powers involved. Involvement in this area has been mainly seen as naval combat of Komminlandic and Konstantinoplean Forces, with a Dutch Fleet sstationed in the Persian Gulf as a possible future asset to be used for this conflict.

Here southern Israel is also included, which is a major hotspot for Konstantinoplean Invasion. East Persian, Komminlandic and Dutch troops (16k in number) are currently facing the invading Konstantinoplean forces.

Syria and East Konstantinople

This has been a major stage for the Dragomerian hostilities against Konstantinople, due to its geographical location East Persia could very likely bring a sizable force here. The Dutch Empire may start shipping troops to help Dragomerians in such an offensive.

The Caucasus

The Caucasus have seen many territorial issues among Greater Konstantinople and East Persia before. As such, they have became a bloody warzone for the two greatest powers of the Middle East.

The Balkans

Yurizlansia, one of the regional powers of the Balkans, may soon face a military conflict against the Messyrian Forces... Though no major operations have been made as of yet. There is light Dutch deployment in this area (16k troops) and Messyrian Venice has quite a sizable Dutch fleet stationed.

The Black Sea

This region is, for now, dominated by the Athens Pact. With its entrance through Constantinople well-guarded. The battered Icecaprianian Navy is making its efforts.

The Dragomerian Second Fleet had been reassigned to go around Africa and enter the Mediterranean Sea from the other side. The fuel/supply ships were resupplied for this mission and were told to ensure Dragomerian dominance of Konstantinople's waters.

[East Persia]

Seige at Dara'a:

An extra 11,000 artillery pieces were sent to southern Syria to help break the stalemate at Dara'a and Suweyda. Troop numbers were reinforced to total 36,000 men. Army Group South with 23,000 troops is to flank left and head towards Damascus with 50 hot air balloons to support them.

Trouble at Deir Al Zor:

Troop numbers for Army Group 1 heading towards Hasaka reached 140,000 with task to encircle Hasaka and link up with Army Group 2 from Fadghumi with 60,000 troops. These forces began attacking enemy forces in the area and a group of Dragomerian artilery men are to be deployed to help capture Fadghumi.

The lost airmen:

The two men realized that they ran into a trap when local soldiers came. They ripped open their machine guns and started to shoot at the cops and ran for cover. During the mist of the chaos, they threw grenades and smoke screens to hide their escape route. They ran into an abandoned farm and stole two horses. Then they rode they way out of the mountains and try to go to the East Persian border. But on their way, they raided a store and a small weapons depot running away with bags full of guns and ammo.

Troops Continue Patrolling
200,000 infantry troops begin to patrol the beaches for anything suspicious this is seen as a military exercise pf caution. Nothing has been found however and Yurizlansia is placed on red alert from black alert. This means that instead of a almost definite invasion, there is only a small chance of a possible invasion from foreign powers. Artillery has also been deployed on the beaches to stop any potential invasion.

After recognizing Konstantinoplean sovereignty over Crimea, Andrei Klumystef sent 20,000 troops and a few pieces of artillery to a joint operations based in Crimea. The flag is next to the flag of GK, of course.

Continued Invasion of Ukraine
GK and Yurizlansia have decided to continue their invasion of Ukraine, which if all goes well will be divided between the two countries. The 10,000 troops and artillery already have a plan of mobilization. However, not all troops will leave in order to garrison the fort.

DUTCH IMPERIAL NAVY

-The local Dutch Fleet which was formerly stationed in Venice has finally joined forces with Dragomeria and is now under Dragomerian command. It will follow the Asian admiral's orders.

HOMELAND DEFENSE

-325 thousand troops have been mobilized in the Dutch Homeland, ready to defend their Fatherland against an invasion from the people of Guantanamo.

Northern Front
50,000 soldiers and 30,000 artillery were brought through Versail and sent into Icecapriania to expel the invading Konstantinople and Yurislanzia military forces. The Dragomerian forces eventually reached the area just outside of Crimea. They stopped for food in preparation of the expulsion of enemy forces. The Dragomerian forces then entered Crimea. once on Crimea, they started heading to where the enemy was concentrated. making sure to keep a watch out for enemy patrols, which were expected to be patrolling arts of Crimea, the Draagomerian soldiers advanced, ready to take on the enemy at a moments notice.

Southern Front/Syria-Israel Front

Allied Fleet
The combined forces of the Dragomerian and Dutch fleet advanced towards enemy waters. The guns on the ships loaded, ready to fire at the slightest movement of an enemy ship. The coalition fleet was to go around Greece and attack Konstantinople ships near Syria and Turkey before heading to the enemy capital itself.

The Balkans

70 artillery units have begun firing into Yurzslansia, meanwhile the soldiers in the area have been organized into groups. Army Group A consists of 45,000 Messeric soldiers and 35 artillery pieces residing in the Northern part of the Balkans. Army Group B consists of 24,000 Messeric soldiers and 16,000 Dutchmen along with 246 Diotians who pledged their support as well as 15 artillery pieces, currently residing at the border between Messeren, Greater Konstantinople and Yurzslansia. Army Group C sits with the remaining 45,000 Messeric soldiers at the South, backed by sea by the Messeric navy and 20 artillery pieces. No invasions have yet been made but artillery fire will rain upon the nearest known positions of enemy troops, encampments or populations.

Konstantinoplean-Komminlandic Front

The Battle of the Suez Canal ended with the retreat of Konstantinoplean Forces. 78 of our remaining battleships began a blockade over the Mediterranean Sea to prevent any ships from coming in and out of the canal.

Battle of Assyrian Province

Konstantinoplean Forces have reached close to 750,000 troops defending the Province from Dragomerian and East Persian Forces. Dragomerian Forces shelled and severely damaged a major town near the border. Dragomerian Forces are still at large within the province. No East Persian Forces are reported to be in the province.

Crimean Front

No reported enemy forces are in Crimea despite claims made by Dragomerian Islands.

As I said before 200,000 troops dug in to defensive positions with about 100 pieces of artillery have begun to fire back on Messyrian forces on the beach. It is expected to be a victory considering the minefields on the beach, and there is no strategic cover for the soldiers there. However, after the victory Yurizlansia foes not plan to counter attack and instead continue defending our border and sending troops to the fort in Crimea.

Army Group South has reached the Damascus suburb of Jobar and began shelling it. 23,000 men and 11,000 gunpowder rockets began to fire at enemy held buildings and positions. They had also seized Mount Qassioun providing a view to strike at enemy forces in the area. Long range slingshot cannons are being deployed there to help take the city.

In Dara, forces began to encircle the city to cut off from aid. Hot air balloons and giant zeppelins began to drop bombs on the city. Loudspeakers are broadcasting urges to fighters to surrender, broadcast in many different languages.

Units from Army Group 1 and 2 met up northwest of Deir Al Zor. They have got the eastern shore of the Euphrates River and plans are to cross it from the east and an offensive on the west of the city. Hasaka and Fadghumi have been surrounded and besieged by heavy artillery from the Second Dragomerian Artillery Corp. A total of 60,000 troops are massed west of Deir al Zor and 13,000 waiting to cross the river.

Syrian-Israeli Front:

50,000 troops from Army Group West have crossed the border into Konstantinople-Israel and began to shell nearby border towns and bases. They are backed up by 20,000 artillery guns and 14 large rail guns. They are to race to the Mediterranean Sea to separate the enemy into two and try to reach Haifa. If the siege in Damascus is a success, then Army Group South is to head towards the Golan Heights to support Army Group West.

Crimea
The 50,000 troops found no resistance in Crimea. The Army General in charge of the invasion force wondered if Konstantinople abandoned the area after they invaded it. Crimea was now in Dragomerian hands.

OOC: Konstantinople, you are aware that if you do claim to be in that land, you would have to had RPed a battle. That is called Godmod, especially since I recieved permission from the owner of that area (Versail) to be there. Since you did not RP a battle, it must be assumed that you either had nothing there or you left before my forces arrived.

Allied Fleet
The allied fleet had passed south near Komminlandic Alshar (did I spell that right?) territory. The fleet was now within one hour of reaching that area, and the ships were on the lookout for enemy ships.

A garrison of around 16k Dutch troops which had came in the Defense of Komminlandic Alshr a while ago, would like to rendezvous with the Persian Forces nearby. Numbers of the garrison have lessened to around 15,500 men due to hostilities.
