I got nothing to do with this, but it seems to be gaining momentum and has sparked a discussion in the Illegal SC Proposals thread.

Description: Appalled That the ambassador of Wallenburg attacked an unarmed Bitely Ambassador. Well at the WA strangers Bar.

Noting that such actions go against the WA’s goals of Peace.

Shocked that a WA ambassador would act in a way that would tarnish the WA's good name

Just because you're shocked and dismayed at the action's of our ambassador means it is right to slander the names of 43 million men, women, and children?

Besides, the National Assembly already was debating on whether to dismiss Trevanyika. Pre-vote interviews project that the coalition for her removal from office has grown from around 40% to over 70%. There are also delegates already prepared to file suits against Ms. Trevanyika. We do not support her actions, and intend to see the problem corrected.

Bitely's ambassador, Thomas, walks into the bar and takes a seat.

Well Thomas Branson is minding his own business, peacefully sitting at the bar, the ambassador of Wallenburg pulls out her sabre and attacks him from behind.

Separatist Peoples Comes to Thomas' aide and calls for a medic

The medic believes Thomas has a punctured lung, and Thomas is rushed off to the hospital.

I the Ambassador of TAB1of2 call for Wallenburg's ambassadors detainment; She threatens anyone who would dare try to detain her.

At the hospital Thomas dies during surgery do to a punctured lung
I believe that the World Assembly is better then unprovoked attacks on ambassadors. We need to send a message that We will not Tolerate such actions in this honorable Assembly.

Ahem. Excuse me. I must apologize for my behavior in the Strangers' Bar earlier today, but, I have a theory about what really happened there.

You see, for those of you who do not frequent the Strangers' Bar on a regular basis, let me point out to you a unique feature of the bar, the ACME Mark II Transmogrifier, AKA the weapons nullifier, or as some call it, that ACME thingamajig. It is a sophisticated weapons detection and transmutation system, one that will take a .44-caliber bullet, fired at the speed of sound, and turn it into a giant fluffy pillow, landing with the softness of a giant marshmallow. Or, it can turn a hand grande into a water balloon. A thrown hand-axe into a flying coconut custard pie. A curved scimitar into a balloon animal that may or may not be anatomically correct. A... well, you get the idea.

Anyhow, for some reason, it appeared to all those who witnessed the event, that when the former Wallenburgian ambassador swung her sword, that the weapons nullifier did not do its job.

Er...

This is the point that you should all be gasping in disbelief. Go ahead, I'll wait.

Very well. Now, you may ask, how is it possible that the nullifier did not work? Well, I see two distinct possibilities. One, it was tampered with. Two, it malfunctioned. Now, I've been trying all day to get an unsuspecting person to try to attack me with a weapon -- you would think that with a squawking, out-of-control dead parrot flapping around uncontrollably, someone would take out a pistol and try to shoot it, but noooo, everyone's all like, oooh, we don't kill dead things anymore, that's so last-century, whatever. In any case, because no one would attack me, I was unable to determine if the nullifier was tampered with, or if it had malfunctioned.

While mulling over my next move, it had occurred to me that, perhaps, there was a third possibility.

Maybe the weapons nullifier worked.

How?

Ask yourselves this. The young lady with the sword? Disappeared. Nowhere to be seen.

The young man who was slashed? Disappeared. Nowhere to be seen.

We get some nebulous message from the Bitely delegation that their ambassador died of a punctured lung. And yet, everyone who witnessed it, said that it was merely a scratch. As if it had come... from A PLASTIC WEAPON.

Er...

This is the point where you all ooh and aaah and gasp in disbelief. Again, I'll wait.

No takers this time? Very well, I shall continue. So, it is my hypothesis that the weapons nullifier worked, the sword turned into a plastic sword, which, unfortunately, was still sharp enough to cut the skin of the Bitely ambassador. Ambassador Bell, you were closest to him. You saw the wound, you mentioned it was not bad, that you thought it might need stitches. And the Bitely ambassador, he took the time to make a short speech about how these barbaric actions helped his cause, and how the Wallenburgian had let him live so that he wouldn't be a martyr, and damning the CDSP ambassador with faint praise, and something about praying for peace. He was not bleeding profusely, nor was he even breathing laboriously.

And yet, they say, he died of a punctured lung.

Now, I ask all of you: Are these the actions, the words, and the symptoms, of someone who has had a sword run through him and has a punctured lung? Or is it more likely the actions, words and symptoms of someone with but a flesh wound?

What does it mean? I think it means, plain and simple, that the Bitely delegation is playing you again, just like they did when they slammed the World Space Administration down your throat. That's right, the same World Space Administraion... to which THE AUTHOR OF THIS RESOLUTION IS A MEMBER!

(Polly once again waits for oohs and aaahs and gasps of disbelief.)

That's right, members of this assembly, YOU'VE BEEN HAD. It's been a ruse from the beginning. The Bitely ambassador wasn't killed by the Wallenburgian. He probably isn't even dead, though it wouldn't surprise me if he were sacrificed or, in his own words, martyred, to advance his agenda against the World Assembly, by his own people.

Now, members of this assembly, I ask you, should we condemn a nation just because its ambassador swung a sword, when everyone in the room expected no harm to come to anyone?

I think not.

The nation of the Dead Parrot, obviously, will vote against this ruse, as well as contemplate sanctions against the nation of Bitely for trying to turn such an unbelievable charade into an international incident.
