Crisis in Frulia Province. [MT/IC/Open]

Postby Empire of Donner land » Sat Sep 26, 2015 5:52 pm

Crisis in Frulia Province

Frulia Province, Donner Lands 4th Province of the empire out of the 5 created after the successful revolution staged by Anti-Monarchists during the long reign of King Eric Lewerentz II who was 'coronated' in 1878, whom ended the lives of thousands in his purge against those who opposed him including largely, Communists, Anarchists and Millitary Leaders at the time. This revolution cemented the hate against oppressive leaders, corruption and monarchy's all over the world in the population. Now a similar revolution seems to be occurring in this provincine.

Frulia is a province who's economy is based off the shipping, mining and fishing industry due to its access to the sea and the mountains and mineral deposits underneath it. The populace is largely high school educated and most work blue collar jobs on docks and mines. What ever white collar jobs exist are largely corporation office jobs or government jobs. Currently the province is in a state of civil unrest.

Recently a whistle blower by the name of Aloysius Forst, a Government IT tech who is now wanted by the Government for Espionage has discovered an Email which contained detailed plans to destroy the Democratic Council in place for the empire. The writer of this email? Head of Government Harolds Veraski. The information was furthered by the IT tech into the world via the Internet. Already there have been reports that websites in other countries have "Crashed" aswell as ones in the Empire. D.L.N.N Or Donner land News Network for short experienced a major difficulty with their server rooms. This did not save the government, the population found out and the most angry area in the country is now Frulia Province.

Fearing a new Monarch government being put in place the populace of this province has all become a war zone between civilians and police. There have been reports that L.G teams have been spotted in the province as well. The future of Donner land lies with the outcome of which side wins. The populace or the government.

Rules

1.This could go either way, Millitary or Diplomatic but be realistic.
2.General NS rules
3.No WMD's without consent, not sure why you would use them in this situation either.

Important notes

1.There is no Millitary presence but there is a rumor of L.G Operatives operating in the Province.
2.Who ever wants to house the Whistle blower can. Just make it realistic.
3.The council is largely divided in this issue in many ways, the government can not make any real decisions or do much. The head of governments whereabouts are unknown.

Knight-Major Oswald Konefat
43rd Military Expeditionary Unit
Nearing Frulia Province, Empire of Donner Land

The ocean was calm, the skies were clear, all in all it was a beautiful day, and the archipelago of Donner Land was coming in sight. Oswald was charged with the 43rd MEU to make landfall on Frulia Province, in order to help the Empire restore peace and security to one of their provinces that is slowly coming to the brink of civil war. The government at the local level is helpless, being split between the populace and the rest of the government, therefore Birtonian peacekeeping forces were called in to help level the situation out in favor of the Empire. Most of the men assigned to the unit had served some time in the Cura Condendi forces before being relocated to the 43rd. As the ship pushed on, the Donnish docks were in sight, from what he had been briefed dock workers were refusing to complete their tasks, and this showed as container ships sat dormant, tied up to the dockyard.

Thankfully the MEU, which was roughly a brigade sized element had plenty of options to put boots on ground, for now, simple amphibious trucks, known as the MD-5 Entes, affectionately known as ducks by the troopers. For the initial phase of the operation, the men would be relatively lightly equipped, of course body armor and weaponry, but there wouldn't be any tanks of fighting vehicles, machine guns and the like. Knight-Major Konefat stood on the observation deck, watching the grey vehicles move in stark contrast to the deep azure, moving towards the coastline. As soon as they hit solid land, men began to pour out from the rear of the trucks, utilizing the ladders on the rear end to get down in a quick and tactical manner. Squads fanned out quickly and moved to predesignated areas of value.

The men moved with a purpose, not running around frantically as if they were in danger of being shot, but at brisk walking paces. Shouts in English, being a common language between the two ethnicities, orders given out to the locals as they looked on at the foreigners pervading their shores. The first order of business was to get the container ships removed from their moorings so that the rest of the fleet could dock and unload the supplies they carried. The immediate town would be put under martial law until a new provisional government could be restored and proper field headquarters could be established for the unit.

So far things seemed to be going well, most of the civilians obeyed without question and a few backed down once they realized they were outnumbered. However that could all change in an instant. For this first city the Imperials would have to be very cautious between having a hard ruling fist and showing the people they were there to help. Once this city was firmly under military control however, patrols could be sent out and the reach of the Imperium could proceed forwards.

"A House Divided can not stand."
Frulia Province, Roal City.

Image
Barricade on Troloza street manned by rioters.

Theme

"People of Donner Land! Rise up for your RIGHTS! Do you want another corrupt and murderous king ruling over the land! The only salvation is Marx!" A man yells ontop of a burned out car through a mega phone. The city around him destroyed and burnt. Rubble and Debris scattered on the streets. A large crowed surrounded him as he yelled far behind a barricade made of junk and other rubble. The barricade was manned by citizens who made it their duty to protect the rights of themselves and others. Across from the barricade was a wall of Riot Police carrying sheilds. Behind them were men with Batons and other non lethal weaponry. And behind them were 6 men with grenade launchers ready to fire tear gas grenades over the barricade. The men and women on the barricade shouted at the police as they approached.

"You are pawns of the Monarchy!"

"They call you the kings men!?"

"WE WANT OUR RIGHTS!"

The police themselves were confused as hell as to what was going on. Rumors spread confusing command and this caused the province to practically erupt into flames. Skirmishes between the populace and the police happened all over the city, province and now... the whole country. Even the Police and Millitary began to doubt the government, some quit their jobs, others threw down their arms and body armor and joined the rioters. The L.G Operatives how ever did not have this luxury.

CRACK!

A gun shot rung out from somewhere and the man with the megaphone fell off the car into the crowd bleeding from his throat. He died right there as he was being carried off far away from the barricade. The first shots of Revolution were fired and the Rioters spilled over the Barricade. As this happened the 6 men behind the wall of Riot Police fired their grenade launchers sending smoke trails high above them and arcing downwards into the gap between the Police and now charging rioters. The police braced as they impacted the sheilds. The rioters tried ripping the sheilds from their hands and began using anything they could get there hands on to fight. Rocks, Knives, Molotov Cocktails and their bare hands.

Lincoln once said a house divided can not stand.

But what house is there left?

As the Birtonians landed in Frulia province the Head of Government called a few of his contacts In the millitary. He held his phone up to his ear pacing around his office. "This email has caused so much anger, this was supposed to be a smooth transition!" The person on the other end of the phone began speaking only a electronic murmur to be heard. "Birtonians? In Frulia? What the fuck are they doing here?" He placed his hand on his hip then onto his face. "I'm leaving this in your hands General. DONT. SCREW. UP. Or it WILL be the last mistake you make. I can promise that." He hung up and looked out his window as smoke rose from the sky line of Bögt.

D.L.N.N Special announcement

"Hello and as you can see from this disturbing live image that Birtonian soldiers have touched down in Frulia province. Citizens are being instructed not to engage in hostilities with these soldiers. And... recently we have gotten information that the council... of Donner land has been disbanded and abolished. Martial law has been put into effect. More details on what you need to know coming to you at 4."

The women after delivering this message put her head into her hands. Shortly afterwards D.L.N.N went off and a emergency broadcast that Martial Law was put into effect was on everyone's T.V's. The beep of the T.V from the broadcast broke silence in all the homes of the citizens. Shortly afterwards councilmen of the Government were found dead in the streets. This was becoming a repeat of the kings rise to power back in the 19th century. Fighting across the country only intensified afterwards.

Union News

Naval Task Force Destined for Frulia

Recent reports regarding the unrest in Frulia Province of Donner Lands appear to have attracted enough attention in the government for major action to be taken. While still unconfirmed, we have received reports that a naval task force has been given orders to move into a position near Frulia Province, just outside the exclusive economic zone. The size of the task force is unknown, but is believed to be small, as the National Council has ruled out heavy involvement in the current situation.
Sources in the ADF report that the Rapid Response Brigades are currently still stationed with the Joint Mobile Fleet, ruling out their involvement. Eyewitnesses who saw the embarkation of personnel aboard the vessels reported to be in the task force say the troops boarding the ships appeared to be part of the Civil Response Corp, leading analysts to believe a peacekeeping or humanitarian aid mission may be taking place.

Rear Admiral Miranda Jackson turned off the news feed and let out a sigh. The freedom of the press certainly had its downsides. Particularly when it came to giving out what could be too much information regarding ADF operations. There were times when the government would put a news black out regarding military events, but this didn't qualify for one. Everything the report had said was true. The task force Jackson was commanding was centered around a single light carrier and a cruiser. There was a destroyer, 2 frigates, and 4 CCS vessels as well. Carried aboard the CCS's was a brigade from the Civil Response Corp, 5000 strong. All were soldiers, trained to the same standards as the rest of the ADF, but they didn't specialize in combat roles. Jackson had hoped there would be combat unit coming along for protection once the CRC's were on land, but HICOM didn't see reason for it.
Jackson didn't like where this was going, not at all. There were reports from INCOM that Birtonians were in Frulia, and HICOM still hadn't sent a combat unit. Throw in the fact the task force was still two days away from their destination, and it was just a bad situation. A lot of things could change in two days, and HICOM didn't seem like it was going to call off this operation. Hopefully no one with an itchy trigger finger would do anything stupid. Though Jackson was less worried about her people having the quick fingers, and more worried about the Birtonians and locals.

Knight-Major Oswald Konefat
43rd Military Expeditionary Unit
FOB Falcon, Frulia Province

It had been only a day since the Imperial peacekeeping force had made landfall in Frulia province. Operations were running smoothly, civilians were falling in line, though some still refused to work and the local police were being fully cooperative with the soldiers in running business in the city. Several warehouses had lined the docks and were empty of anything of importance, once the transport vessels were docked the center most building had been fortified and established as a Forward Operating Base, large antennae were erected along with rudimentary sandbag fortifications. The building now resembled a ramshackle fortress built out of a dystopian apocalyptic future rather than a proper military outpost, but as the operation progressed so would the stature of the command building. Oswald stood in the center of the large building, it having been gutted and its contents replaced with all manner of military communications hardware, namely the Birtonian military's Battlemap system, providing a real time display of all forces in the area of operations.

Just off the coast were a few littoral combat ships conducting regular patrols to ensure the safety of civilian merchant vessels, a bit closer to the land were heavier ships, destroyers and guided missile cruisers. These larger ships were in place to deter any sort of insurgency attack against the port, and to provide fire support to the infantry deployed until an artillery unit could get unpacked. The two empty transport ships were converted into temporary billeting and a vehicle workshop for the trucks they had brought with them. Several scores of fighting vehicles and a few tanks were in the storage decks below the billeting. Oswald could see small green rectangles at the city limits, indicating checkpoints set up by the 1st Battalion, 205th Amphibious Infantry Regiment. He looked up from the Battlemap and peered over at a bank of screens that monitored various news channels as well as a few of the CCTV cameras the police department had access to, which of course was shared with the peacekeeping force.

The Knight-Major stood in the middle of the well-lit room, that still had the aroma of various industrial materials and now mixing in with a curtain of heavy smoke caused by the mass of administrative personnel cluttered about the building. A younger officer approached him with a folder, the two sat down at a conference table nearby the eastern wall, light from the high vaulted windows shone down and highlighting the specks of dust and reflecting light off the smoke. The contents of the folder were now laid out on the table, indicating possible insurgent strongholds and safehosues along with a proposed list of patrols for the night.

"Thank you, that will be all" said Oswald, dismissing the officer.

Every night in the city as soon as the sun set a curfew was in effect, any non-essential personnel caught outside would be immediately detained for an indefinite period of time. So far all of the citizenry had fallen in line and dispersed to their homes. There were many public services lacking in the city currently, and the Imperial military just turned on water services to the city and was working on electricity, as some power lines were damaged by riots. During the night a platoon of unarmed, but armored vehicles would patrol the streets, ensuring all civilians were obeying martial law.

During the day, several of the Ente trucks were converted into mobile PA systems, broadcasting information of the martial law, curfew and services to be restored soon. The messages urged all citizens to continue their regular lives, and not interfere with the duties of the peacekeeping force.

Reply to the "Committee of Freedom

To: The Committee of Freedom
From: Former Head of Government Harolds Veraski

Hello and Damishg (Good day). Democracy or rather the type of Democracy we followed is flawed many ways. Too frequently in the past many reforms, decisions and even elections have come up with the end result being a re-vote, Impeachment or major public backlash. I do not wish to reinstate a Monarchy, do not belive the lies that those Communist rebels spread. Weve learned this mistake as a country. We are assuming you are familiar with the "Blood River" revolution in the 19th century against our former king. I took history class as a child and we were all too familiar with this.

I ask you, as a fair and democratic nation, NOT to intervene as 2 world powers have already come to the coast of the Province. If you belive in the people's choice of government then let what ever happens run its course. But I have other plans currently.

Signed Head of Government Harolds Veraski

HMS Aurora
40 Nautical Miles from Donner land

The flag of the Imperial Realm flapped gently in the breeze as the large assault ship crested through the waves. Onboard were the men and equipment of the 8th Armored Regiment, Royal Scots Dragoon Guards. The flight deck was scorching hot as the first helicopters of advance parties prepared to transit ashore. This was entirely a peacekeeping mission, an attempt to prevent the conflict from escalating into a full blown genocide. As such, the vehicles and helicopters proudly bore the emblems a peacekeeping force should bear, while they themselves were painted a brilliant white that stood out quite well.

While it was odd to use eight hundred soldiers and 128 tanks as a peacekeeping force, they were from an empire and an empire must maintain strength. 40 Commando and a company of Royal Marines were assembling in the well deck, while the escorting destroyers and frigates had slowly bunched closer and closer to the assault ship to form a defensive perimeter. The general plan was to occupy some sort of coastal land, construct a forward operating base and then gradually sortie into the surrounding countryside in an attempt to maintain order and prevent conflict. Thus the helicopters lifted from the deck as flight crew sweating under their reflective vests gestured wildly as Scotland the Brave blared from the loudspeakers of the ship interrupted by various movement orders. Hopefully an empire could grasp the basics of keeping the peace.

500 miles away from Frulia...
5th Airborne unit, 2nd shock division
ISAF X(unknown, unseen)-force

The three massive avenger long-distance bombers that were converted to carry troops flew high in the sky as they headed for Frulia. ISAF was warned not to intervene with the affairs of the Empire, but ISAF couldn't sit back and watch. Despite ISAF's continentalist beliefs, ISAF did allow itself into affairs abroad. That is exactly what the X-force was bein deployed for, intervention.
Aboard each avenger were 4 squads(6 each soldiers each) of a mixed force of Delarus Punishers and general ISAF troops. They were going to be paradropping into a city, and would establish a base at a random and unsuspecting building. They would then run ops from there.
Their mission: Restore order to the province while not being conspicuous. The troops were told that once they were in, they were in. They could not leave the province until the mission was complete. The force may have seemed too large, but it was just right to quickly restore order in ISAF's eyes.

IC:
SCENE: Shazbotdom News Network Newsroom, Shaz City, Shazbotdom

"...as soon as we get new information as to the health of star player Anderstad Hecklesberg," the reporter said as he was continuing the broadcast. He then put his hand to his ear and a smile drew onto his face. "News just in, we are going live to John Hernandez at Shaz City International Airport. John?

SCENE: Shaz City International Airport
John stood there in the main Concourse of the airport, behind him a wall of police.
"Thanks Anthony," he replied. "News was leaked to the public about an unmarked flight coming onto Shaz City International Airport from at 3:52pm local time. With that, security was ramped up here at SCIA to ensure that the individual incoming would not get injured. It was found out by an SNN Employee that this individuals name is Aloysius Forst, a Donner Lands citizen who is now wanted by their government for leaking information about the return of a brutal Dictatorship government that pretends to be a Monarchy. We have word that a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will address the public from SCIA within the next few minutes, and Mr. Forst's aircraft will be landing here shortly. It is 3:46pm currently."

Behind him, some staffers from the airport walk up and begin to assemble a podium, hooking up a microphone that was attached to a sound mixer, allowing all the news agencies in attendance to hook into it so that they could get a direct audio feed for their broadcasts. As they finish up the assembly of the podium, they exit away.

3:50pm
The news crews had been waiting for a few minutes, then through the crowd a group of Six Marines approached the podium, as they go tot the podium they broke and then it was known that they were surrounding the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Kennith G. Terrance. They broke and formed two lines, Three to the left of the podium and Three to the right. Minister Terrance then approached the podium as Marine Air Corps Jets were heard overhead as the unmarked plane landed on Runway 43-R.
"Ladies and Gentlemen of the press corps," Kennith started. "Today we, the people and government of the Shazbotdom Empire, have assisted in extracting a true patriot from the clutches of an Oppressive Government. Many of you have heard his name, but not his story. Several week sago he came into possession of a 'classified' email from his government that stated that they were going to transition from the current Governmental system, into what they called a 'kingdom'."
"After reading this email, he realized that this government that they were going to transition into would be a throwback of an oppressive, tyrannical government that ruled their nation more than a century ago. A government that killed or tortured anyone who opposed them." He shifted his weight and looked towards a window, then looked back at the crowd gathered in front of him. It was now 3:52pm and the plane has approached Gate 16 at Terminal 5E.
"Agents of the Shazbotdom Empire learned about this through various Media Outlets in the region and began the task of helping to extract Mr. Forst from his home nation so that we could protect him from his government. On his own accord, he was able to flee their nation to a more hospitable nation. It was there that our operatives met up with him. The discussion mainly entailed how the nation that he escaped to could not, realistically, offer any protection as his home nation could easily get operatives within their boarders and kidnap him to bring him back to The Donner Lands. With the Political problems that the Empire had in the past, with his home nation, we have multiple travel bans in place that would prevent operatives from his nation to gain entry into the Empire."
He looked behind him to hear the footsteps of more Marines approaching from the lower level underground tram that connected the Gate Terminals to the Main Terminal Complex. "I personally had several talks with him about what he needed and anything necessary to secure his stay in the Empire so that we could ensure his safety from his Government. After more than 5 hours of negotiations, his request was brought to the Prime Minister. She granted his request for Amnesty within an hour." At this point, another group of Marines, this time totaling Twelve, was seen marching up the stairs in two rows, between the rows was Mr. Forst.
Kennith turned around and signaled for Mr. Forst to approach him. As he reached the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kennith turned back to the microphone. "Mr. Aloysius Forst, it is with my honor, given by the Supreme Emperor of Shazbotdom, to welcome you to the Empire." He then looked back at the man and shook his hand. Turning, once again, back to the podium, he nods at the Marines, "Thank you for coming," he stated to the press corps. He then turned and, putting his hand on Mr. Forsts shoulder, began walking out a back door of the building to an awaiting limousine.

SECRET IC:
SCENE: Limousine, en route to Shazbotdom Imperial Palace

"Mr. Forst, we are glad that we could help secure your freedom from your government," Kennith stated. "We have procured a residence for yourself within the Diplomatic section of the capital city, with your own Diplomatic vehicle and, if you wish, a security detail." He pulled off his tie and placed it in a storage compartment to his left. "Did you have any other questions that you needed answered before we get to the Palace? The Supreme Emperor is anxious to meet you in person."

Limousine, En route to Shazbotdom Imperial Palace

Forst smiled as the passing scenery graced his eyes. He looked back to the man talking to him and grabbed his phone out of his pocket. "I'm a criminal now, I can't go back to my home as you have expressed. All I need is a Wi-Fi connection and somewhere to sleep." He put in the password onto his smart phone and tool out a small flash drive that was installed on the top. He held it out to the people in the car. "This will blow the lid off of my countries plans."
He placed the small flash drive back into his phone, a small beep signaling it's acceptance. "If you could, I might need a security detail. In a few days I would expect them to send a L.G operative after me." He said calmly. "Oh and thanks." He smiled.

Lautes Geräusch, S.T.D, 12th platoon 7th squad, Sargent Saoe Dalin

Saoe opened the blinds slightly looking outside the window as the dim street lamps lit up the side walks at night. He could see Birtonians patrolling up and down and the occasional car carrying soldiers pass down, their head lights shining through the blinds casting a shadow throughout the hotel room. The rubble outside had mostly cleaned up and any bodies left from the riots had been disposed of.

Saoe walked back towards the bed unraveling a tourist map he got from the front desk. He took a compass from his pocket and placed it on the map. It was already pointing north as he began marking places on the map with a red pen. "Utri, get out of those fucking fatigues and into some civilian clothes. Only bring your side arm alright?"

"Yes sir." Utri who was now changing into a jean jacket and khaki cargo pants grabbed his .45 Calibre pistol and stuffed it down his pants into a hidden holster on his thigh.

"Alright, get out through the roof exit, those Birtonian fucks will be here any moment to patrol the room." Saoe said grabbing his side arm and placing it in the same place Utri placed his. Saoe was dressed in blue jeans, working boots and a white t-shirt. They didn't carry any body armor.

Once nightfall had come, the massive avengers were in Frulia airspace. Their ramps lowered as the soldiers inside prepared to jump. Each jump master was waiting to give the signal. They were going to do a HALO to avoid detection.
Their drop zone was in a massive tall-grass field not too far away from a city.
Once the avengers crossed the DZ, the jump masters gave the order to jump. From out of the avengers came 72 soldiers, all armed with parachutes and altimeter watches.

After a certain point was hit, probably at 1,000ft, the watches went off and all the soldiers opened their parachutes. They then descended into the field and grouped up. Each squad leader formed up and looked at a map with their NVGs. "All right, so the entrances to the city are here, here, and here. We can't afford to be detected at any of them. So, we'll send out four punishers to enter the city and find a suitable place to stay." One of the squad leaders sais. "So what are we gonna do here?" One of them asked. "Secure the perimeter and stay undetected." He replied.
Soon after, 4 punishers were sent out to scout the city.

The comittie sat in the darkness of the conference room with the only source of light being a projector which displayed images of the current state of Frulia gathered by established media and independent news sources. With the slides Secretary of State Vincent Harling was carefully elaborating on the current situation in the province and the rest of the country. After clicking through several shots of dilapidated buildings, destitute locals, and Foriegn military personnel he finally rested on the image of a screenshot of Aloysius Forst's handy work. The Projector displayed a rather long and methodically detailed email, which displayed plans for what could be described as a hostile takeover.

"As most of you have probably seen prior to this meeting, this is the email that set off a chain of events that has led up to the present, when this email was first leaked it was first seen on well known international blogs and news sights that specialized in mukraking and the likes. Some of these sights had crashed soon after, some took away the information as if it was never there. However and independent source one who has been following the political situation in countries like Donner land posted it on his website, the site is not well know and is Atmaeran based according to the report I recieved from General Genette here. Thus I hypothesize it escaped the obvious attempts to hide the information. After reviewing all this evidence its clear that a government reformation is in the works. However we don't have enough evidence to confirm that the takeover is a repeat of the terrible events of the late 19th century purges in Donner Land but I believe that is where this situation is heading." Secretary of State Vincent Harling carefully elaborated to the committee

"What are the goals of the foreign powers, I got that Britonia and North Akana are distributing aid but what else do we know about them, do they support the current take over, are they trying to stop it, what's their angle?" Supreme Chancellor Harper asked

"Well sir we know that Omnisol seems ready to support the democratic process... almost feverishly so, its possible that they might take military action if the interm government takes any blatant oppressive action. The Shazbotom Empire is current harboring Aloysius Forst, their likely to use whatever information he provides them to guide their action. My hope is that their interests align with ours and they release incriminating information to the international community provoking a response. As for Britonia and North Akana, they don't seem to be taking any aggressive stances toward the government, but they seem dedicated to providing aid towards the people of Donner Land, If our suspicions are correct about what's really going on in Donner Land we can only hope that they don't enable the coup" Harling expressed

"Well gentleman we've all had time to review this information prior to this meeting any suggestions?" The Chancellor asked opening the field

"I say we ready a task force dedicated to providing aid to the people of Donner Land, and at the same time we should focus our efforts on an investigation" Director of the Federal Intelligence Agency General Albert Genette suggested

" I second that your excellency, send a fleet to conduct this operation, I would advise opening dialogue and cooperating with the Britonians as they seem to have the largest foot hold in the province, plus I'm sure they can use the surplus of humanitarian supplies. We can ask them to help distribute our aid to the people while also set up our own, such cooperation might give us a hint as to their intentions. And the distribution of aid will allow us to help the native population and perhaps gain insight into the goals of the government to in question" Harling said as he turned off the projector and turned on the lights

From The Office of The Atmaeran Federal State Department

To: Representatives of The Military Democracy of Britonia
Greetings, We in The Federal Republic have decided that the time for observation has ended and have decided that we must not sit by and allow the people of Donner Land and in particular those of the Frulia province to exist in such a state. We understand that your nation has currently dispatched a peace keeping force in the province and are currently making great strides toward restoring it to full functionality. We understand that you currently have a considerable foothold in the province from which you conduct your operations, we feel that it would be easier and more efficient for us to ask you to help the distribution of our aid for the time being in the areas that you have take responsibility of. We intend to send humanitarian aid namely, Food, Drinking Water, Medical supplies particularly those to combat contagion, clothes, and even small distractions for children.
We would also like to begin shipping building materials and supplies of that nature to help rebuild infrastructure. With all these supplies it is also our wish to send a team of engineers, construction workers and medical workers to help distribute our combined aid. Of course the teams of personnel we are sending are not part of the Atmaeran Military Complex but an independent Atmaeran peace Corp and will be subject to your authority. In the mean time the actual Atmaeran military will be beginning preparations for peace keeping operations throughout the country. Once these preparations are complete we will no longer have to soley rely on your kindness should you decide to grace us with it.
Respectfully,
Secretary of State Image

43rd Military Expeditionary Unit
Roal City, Frulia Province, Empire of Donner Land
2300 Hours

As the night faded on, things seemed to be entirely calm, perhaps too calm. Knight-Major Oswald had turned in for the night, his officers quarters being in the same building as the Tactical operations center. Outside, men on the night shift had begun their patrols of the dockyards, generators droning on, powering massive flood lights illuminating the entryways of the port, and more importantly the Birtonian nerve center of operations of FOB Falcon. Some radio chatter broke up the silence within the TOC, just the usual reports of city patrols checking in and providing their status. Extra patrols were being sent to the suspected insurgency and anti-government buildings at random intervals, some of the larger buildings, like apartments, were actually being entered and homes being woken up during the night.

The Battlemap situated in the middle of the warehouse flashed a deep red, before highlighting a signature that was picked up roughly 40-50 nautical miles from the coastline. Whatever it was, it didn't match the profiles of registered ships of allied nations to the Imperium, as it currently stood it would be viewed as a hostile vessel, intent on disrupting the peace that the Imperium had brought to the city. Immediately two of the littoral combat ships were dispatched and steamed off towards the unknown ship, a missile cruiser was put on battlestations and was poised to strike if the need arise. The pair of ships quickly came within range of the unknown craft, and it appeared to be either an aircraft carrier or some sort of LHD-type vessel. With a flash, one flare erupted from the lead ship and illuminated the three vessels against the midnight sea. One LCS flared off to circle around the craft while the other moved to sail parallel to it, a broadcast rang out over a multitude of general frequencies in hopes of contacting the sailors aboard this ship.

"Unknown vessel, you are entering a protected area under martial law of the Imperium Militare, of the Imperium of Birtonia. State your country, and intentions. Be advised you are now within our zone of control and the authority of the Imperium, obey these commands or be fired upon.

Meanwhile, within the city limits of Roal, one of the patrol vehicles ran into an incident. A few moments ago, they had radioed in that there was an unmarked vehicle moving down MSR (main supply route) Stella Artois. During the chase it had skidded around a corner and lost traction, crashing into a 15 story hotel, tearing a hole into the first floor. Once the patrolling squad had identified the building, it came back as a possible insurgent stronghold, the driver was detained and sent away to be imprisoned for driving while under the influence of alcohol, coupled with violating the curfew hours. The man was quickly shoved to the ground, and flex cuffs tied his hands behind his back and was quickly stuffed into a waiting Fuchs scout vehicle and hauled off to the docks, where a building was converted into a detention center. However, a gaping hole in a building was perfect excuse to conduct a random inspection on the hotel. Several more trucks arrived and three full squads of soldiers entered the building, rapping on doors and inspecting the rooms for signs of illegal activity and weaponry. Those rooms that did not respond within a reasonable time had their doors booted open.

"Thunder x-ray, this is Victory 6, there's a room on the 12th floor, the window to the fire escape is open, advise sending a team to the roof" said the team leader of the squad as they entered the room.

"Roger Victory six, sending a squad out" replied the soldier manning the radio back in the TOC.

On the same corner of the room, banks of computers next to the radios monitored what electronic communications they had been able to tap into, phones, emails, social media accounts. One of the screens flashed quickly notifying the men staffing them that there was emergency flash traffic. Several keystrokes were entered and a message came up notifying the enlisted man it was for the task force commander's eyes only. It was quickly printed and put in a case that read confidential, the young Birtonian began long, terrifying walk to Oswald's sleeping quarters, even for good reason it was still in poor taste to awake an officer of the Imperium Militare so late.

"Sir, important message from command" he said as the young Sergeant rapped on the door to the room.

"Very well" came a reply after a minute.

The man came to the door shortly, half dressed in his uniform and snatched folder away, closing the door without saying another word. Oswald flipped on the light and tossed the file on his desk, pouring a shot of Birtonian styled whiskey into a crystal glass, sitting down and looking at what command decided was important enough to wake him at this hour. It was a message to the Imperium from a country called Atmaera, the Knight-Major had read a brief dossier on the country once upon a time. Now however it appeared that they were offering their help in the peacekeeping mission here in Frulia. It appears that the Imperator himself decided that the Knight-Major was able to gauge the situation and respond to this country's government better, seeing as how he was on the ground. Oswald reviewed the information that came with the letter and began drafting up a response.

Greetings,

Your offer of help has reached my desk. I am the commanding officer of the 43rd Military Expeditionary Unit sent by the Imperium Militare, on the order of the Imperator of Birtonia to assist with peacekeeping efforts in the Empire of Donner Land. As you may know, we are currently conducting peacekeeping operations, based within Roal city. I will however, allow your relief efforts to an extent, we know there are rogue elements in and around the city, and as such could not guarantee the safety of your men, nor the provisions. However i suggest that you bring the supplies to the ports, keeping your men out of harms way and my men will take it from their, distributing them out to the citizenry under the blanket of our armored vehicles and weaponry.

In the name of the Imperator

Lautes Geräusch, S.T.D, 12th platoon 7th squad, Sargent Saoe Dalin

Sgt.Saoe and Utri, the only ones left from their squad of 6 after the rest went M.I.A helping with crowd dispersion. They began running across the rooftops after just hearing a car crash into the building they were in. "I hear them coming up!" Utri said as he stumbled over a vent in the roof,he recovered as Saoe gad an idea.

"There! Hide behind the air conditioning unit." Utri and Saoe on the roof began to rush for a large AC unit. The kind that was always usually installed on the very top of a building. By Donner land construction code they were required to be built in every building that exceeded 10 floors. Saoe, with Utri hid behind it their presence hidden as they saw Birtonian soldiers come up from the exit they took. The sound of boots on metal bars shaking the cat walk as they progressed upwards.

This particular AC unit had a space big enough under it to hide a body. Utri and Saoe got in their stomachs and crawled under it. The boots and legs of the Birtonian soldiers visible to them. Now the L.G unit was in its element, Stealth. Even if they were trained to fight outnumbered they knew when a fight wasn't worth it.

Task Group Jackson
100 nmi to Roal and closing
Rear Admiral Miranda Jackson was not in a good mood. Not in any way, shape, or form. Her request for any relevant information which might effect her and the CRC's relief operations had finally been granted by INCOM. Fortunately, the one who delivered the message was a friend, and while they couldn't confirm or deny a certain piece of information, they did drop a bit of information that their may, possibly, be personnel from the Special Services Sections already in Frulia, or may, possibly, be on their way.
Jackson scowled. The SSS was a bad group to get involved with. Few people knew about what role they truly performed on the home front. Even Jackson would still be in the dark if it wasn't for her working relationship with Admiral Kristov of the 7th Mobile Fleet. Eliminating revolutionary and separatist groups was a specialty of the SSS at home, quick, precise, and highly illegal. The SSS wasn't known for being the most moral of organizations by any stretch of the imagination. Rumors abounded about them, including some concerning the kidnapping of children without families, and raising them to become perfect operatives. Probably false, but certainly possible.
If the SSS was already in, or headed, to Frulia, future events did not bode well. There had been incidents in the past where ADF forces and SSS personnel had very different objectives in mind, and the SSS hadn't hesitated to remove ADF personnel who had gotten in their way. There were other matters to attend to for the being though.
Jackson turned to her aide.
"Have all ships double check that their IFF tags are broadcasting in the clear. I don't want to get into a shootout by showing up and catching anyone off guard. INCOM indicated the news reports pretty much gave pretty good warning that we're coming, but still, no point in being careless."

The halls are dark and narrow, lit only by the torches hung atop the marble pillars, a strait of light leading towards the throne of the Emperor, and his notorious Praetorians. The doors open, a man emerges, a Legionary of rank, known as Imperator Marcus Secundus, he then drops to his hands and knees before beginning to crawl down the hall, towards the Emperor- once he has reached the 'red line' he raises he speaks..

"Your sovereign imperial highness, I bring new of an upstart of revolution against an Empire of the Frulia Province; the communists are causing an uproar and clashing with the authorities, what say you, your imperial highness?"

The Emperor remains silent, unmoved from his throne, he then speaks thus..

"Mobilize the fifth Legion, and march to Frulia."

"Come back triumphant, or don't come back."

THE EMPIRE OF VAETORIAN
WEST COAST OF IKRSTHAND
IMPERIAL NAVAL BASE VIII ''CLAUDIA"

The sirens blare into an ongoing alarm, the areas silence interrupted, as thousands of Legionaries pour from the barrack buildings, all of them scramble into formation- the chaos lasts for a minute before silence dawns once again when the alarm cuts off with the legionaries in formation. The Imperator known as Marcus Secundus, the executive commander stands infront of the vast army, a combination of 100 cohorts, the men stand firm- awaiting further orders.

"Men of the fifth Legion."

Said the Imperator, the sound echoing throughout the ranks, the legionaries completely silent.

"The Emperor, Marcus Casius Lucullus, has instructed me to personally restore Imperial civility in the Frulia Province. It is a great honor to fight for our Imperial brothers-- we must all fight to restore peace and order, safety, and security... But we all know, there cannot be peace... without War!"

The Legionaries erupts in approval, chanting "Peace through war" before the Imperator commands. "Legionaries! Embark on the Vaetorian fleet! Let us sail to victory!"

In unison, the fifth Legion march; embarking on the Vaetorian fleet warships and frigates, their weapons held high, proudly marching to the sound of the drums, into the ships.

Vaetorian Admiral, Manius Flavius, a renowned warmonger by sea, gives the command to sail out, the flagship 'U.S.S. Augusta' taking the lead forming an arrowhead with the mass collection of war ships at sea.

The Vaetorian Military Intelligence branch dispatchs telegrams regarding their intent to restore Imperial order to all the Empires that desire the same, including Donner Land, Birtonia, and Arkana.

"Well, Mr. Forst," Kennith started, "unless your government watches news broadcasts from all over the world, they wouldn't know that you have come to the Empire. Our best people will be going over this storage device and figure out all the information you have. I'm sure that when the Supreme Emperor meets with you, he will want to debrief you in person about your escape." He knocked on the window between the driver and the back. "Driver, please take us to the east entrance to the Imperial Palace." He then turned back to his guest, "Would you want us to issue a diplomatic communique to your government after the information is decrypted demanding answers to the information that you have provided us? Or would you rather them not know that you are here? Or would you want us to flood the internet with the information you have provided us to a point where it would be near impossible for them to deny any of it?"

Several flights of the fire escape rattled as heavy boots slammed against it, bringing a full squad of Imperial soldiers to the roof of the building. Flashlights mounted to the sides of their rifles clicked on, scanning the immediate rooftop, as the roof entrance door flung open and another twelve men poured out onto the roof. Checking behind every roof structure they concluded that nobody was there, it was at that point they turned their attention to the other high rise buildings, realizing the roof tops were close enough to jump across. Patiently the two squads waited, their flashlights casting shadows on the adjacent buildings, but soon enough it was evident there were no other people on top of the buildings.

"Thunder x-ray, victory six, there's no-one up here. We'll send the other squad away but I wanna stay up here a bit longer, break," said the first squad leader into his headset microphone, "can you get us a bird?".

"Roger Victory six, wilco" replied a female voice over the squads frequencies.

Some rather lewd comments were heard among the men, followed by laughter. The two squad leaders talked shop while the men lit up a cigarette before going on their way. Since they were down to twelve men instead of twenty four they shut off their lights and hunkered down behind some of the rooftop structures. On their helmets were Mark 15 night optic devices, allowing them to see in all manner of spectrums, There were some large heat signatures but of course that was the exhaust coming off from the air conditioning units. The night droned on, sounds of distant vehicles moving past down below on the streets. Meanwhile back at the docks, a UH-35 Kondor helicopter was finishing up fueling. Instead of its usual armaments or troop carrying capacity this one was loaded with a wide array of sensors that would be able to scan an entire city block and hopefully find whomever was on the run from the Birtonian military. As of yet there was no evidence found in the empty hotel room, but if they were running they sure had something to hide desperately.

The green and gray camouflaged bird lifted off quickly, rising above the skyline of Roal city. High above, her crew could see the headlights of roving patrols vehicles and windows lit up from the inside, most notable, however, were the bright lights near the city limits, checkpoints manned by the soldiers of the 43rd MEU 24/7. Only a few minutes passed and the bird came to a hover just above the apartment building where the incident had occurred. Under the chin of the Kondor a bright LED spotlight turned on and began sweeping slowly across the rooftops, looking for any sort of irregularities, the crew chief began to spin up various sensing systems, heat, electronic tracking and the sort. It would only be a matter of time before the Imperium Militare would find the fugitives.

Off the Coast of Frulia Province
43rd Military Expeditionary Unit

Upon closer inspection, what the two ships representing the Adeptus Classis thought was an amphibious assault ship, turned out to be a civilian freighter, inbound for Roal City. One ship took up position directly to the freighters port side, while the other was just a little behind on the starboard. As a reply message was received the senior officer of the two ships gave word back to the TOC in the port while simultaneously readying a boarding party to search the ship. From what intelligence suggested this could be entirely legitimate, or it could be an undercover operation supplying the rebels and outlaws in Frulia province. The commander of this sortie was Knight-Captain Alex Venshor, he waited patiently in the CIC for the sitrep to the TOC was sent out before grabbing the microphone off the table in front of him.

He keyed the microphone after checking it was on the correct frequency, "DSO Vessel, this is the N.B.B. Sanchez. Though you claim to be a civilian vessel you are within controlled territory. The Imperium Militare does not recognize these international laws you quote, however we are inclined to let you pass given that you carry humanitarian supplies. Halt your vessel and prepare to be boarded first".

Alex promptly handed the microphone to another officer and departed from the CIC and marched through the narrow confines of the ship, dodging sailors rushing to and fro, completing their respective duties. Once he reached his destination, the flight deck he was greeted by two squads of the 43rd Amphibious infantry, finishing their pre-mission checks. The officer returned the salute given to him by the lower ranking members in the team, he looked over them, all standard kit, riflemen supplemented by men armed with shotguns and submachine guns. Though their intent wasn't to get in a firefight, they would be prepared if the inspection went sour. After a rousing speech, the men clambered aboard the RHIBs waiting on the helicopter pad, ready to be lowered down into the wake of the ship. Once they were in the water both deck guns turned towards the cargo ship, ready to open fire if they didn't kill their engines like they were ordered.

The four punishers stopped at a road and went prone. They saw that the entrances to the city were being flooded with lights. "We don't want to attract any attention by shooting those lights out... We'll just use the drones." Said the leader of the group. As he did, everyone reached for their quad drones, and threw threw them up. The soldiers didn't have the stealth tech that their fellow Eruseans or falcons, but the drones did. As their drones went up, they were instantly stealthed by active camo. They flew around and caught everything. Troops positions, checkpoints, raids, etc.. The Punishers made sure to get pictures. "Wait... Are those-" A soldier was cut off by his leader. "Birtonians." "Dang..." "Well... Sir what do we do? They're our allies." Asked one of the soldiers. "Son... We're not even here. Plus, they can't fight what they can't see." He then got up, and placed a mine on the road. Once he pulled up and twisted the clamp down, the mine activated and stealthed. He then ordered the others to do the same, except space them out by 200 ft. Once they did, they hauled ass outta there and back to camp.

NEAR THE COAST OF DONNERLAND
BRITONIA MILITERIZED SPACE
VAETORIAN LEGION FLEET

The fleet nears the coast, the fleet Admiral, Marius Flavius, peers through his scope before catching eye to the humanitarian vessel, and catching ear to the Britorian announcements. Marius Flavius then turns to a Centurion before saying "Halt speed, 100 knots. And tell them who we are." The Centurion says "Ita, Admiral." The Centurion them salutes by placeing his fist over his chestplate before bowing respectively, he then shouts out orders to the men. "SPEED: 100 KNOTS! ADVANCE AT SPEED!"

The flagship then announces via intercom: "Imperial Navy fleet 'Augusta', Empire of Vaetoria. On order of the Emperor, we are instructed to stomp out rebellion opposing the Imperial Crown! Allow us to disembark our Imperial Legions immediately!"

The Admiral nods in approval of the announcement, he turns to the Imperator before saying "How is your family, Marcus?" The Imperator, Marcus Secundus shifts his eyes to the Admiral before saying "Mind your rank, Admiral." The Admiral chuckles before turning back to view the coast from the inside of the Officers deck.

SECRET IC:
SCENE: ISS Dominland, 3rd Small Assault (SA) Surface Group

The fleet slid across the glistening water of the ocean, roughly 8 hours out of Imperial Waters, it was making it's way towards the coastline of Donner Land. In the situation room of the Dominland, Vice Admiral Quinten Chadsey was checking satellite imagery that was displayed along large monitors on the walls. He was watching all the ship movements of the various fleets that were already in the region engaged in operations on either side of the 'civil war'. From what the Satellites could tell, the Britonians set up some sort of blockade that was an attempt to isolate the nation from the world so that they would assist the legitimate, yet disastrously oppressive, government with their change. Information was still incoming from data obtained by the Donner Land refugee that has taken up residence within the Empire.
On a different large screen, was a map display of the 3rd SA as well as 4 Mason-class Guided Missile submarines 2 hours behind them. If necessary, the Empire is preparing to enter the conflict with a fair amount of firepower. Enough firepower to draw a temporary stalemate and force all sides to come to a discussion table. Or if needed, enough to cause problems for the other belligerents to disband and leave the region. If it was proven that the Donner Land government was planning any sort of Ethnic Cleansing and/or oppression of any political opposition parties, the Empire would offer assistance for more refugees to escape the regime, or if it is something that can not be ignored, the Empire would step in and force a regime change.
"Helm," he stated as he got on a radio to the bridge, "turn bearing Three Two Seven mark Five Four Nine. Place speed at Eight Knots." He walked over to his XO, of whom was looking at a monitor of the ground activity near the coastline. "What's your opinion?"
"Sir," he started. "With the amount of boots that they have on the ground, I would have the Marines on the AAMC's prepare for a hot landing if we get the word." He takes a sip of his coffee. "Flight decks should prepare AH-33's for troop landings as well as UA-66's for fighter and bomber operations. There's no evidence of anyone attempting air superiority, but we should be prepared for anything."
"I'll pass along the information to the Carriers, anything else you suggest?" He asked as he stood there, staring at the same monitor that his XO was staring at. The various fighting groups were spotted along the shore by satellites and then roughly translated into group numbers, number of troop transport ships in the area, etc. While not exact numbers, it gave them a rough estimate of what to expect so they are not caught with their proverbial pants down.
"Nothing right now, sir," he replied.

Off the coast of Frulia Province

With all of the commands being presented the civilian trade vessel killed its engines and was now drifting forward of it own perpetual motion. As it did so the pair of Birtonian ships began to circle around it, one in a clockwise pattern while the other in counter clockwise rotations. Two small black vessels bounced about on the open sea, nearly insignificant in contrast to the container vessel and the littoral combat ships. These boats carried a total of twelve Imperial soldiers each and would board from both sides of the cargo ship in order to search its hold.

Sea spray glinting off the pale moonlight washed over the deck of the RHIB as it sailed directly into the starboard side of the civilian vessel. Though it was much larger than the boats, they carried with them extending ladders, specifically suited for boarding ships. The men aimed their rifles up towards the towering deck above them and a few raised up the ladders, hooking it onto the railing at the end of the deck. Once it was secure the point man of the teams stowed his submachine gun at his side and ascended the ladder. This happened on both sides simultaneously, both of them hopped up over the rail and brought their weapon to bear. Shortly after them more men came over the side with varying assault rifles and a few shotguns put into the mix. One man moved from the railing to the middle of the sailing deck, clearly the commander of this group.

"I am Knight-Lieutenant Salvatore Brando, of the Adeptus Terram, Imperium Militare. You are in Birtonian military authority while in the area. Submit to a full inspection of your crew and vessel or be shot on sight" said the man to the various crew members gathered around looking at the spectacle.

The man in question stood a bit taller than the rest of the soldiers, though armed and armored in the same fashion. Due to the nature of the mission and the uncertainty of the entire area there were no identifying marks distinguishing him as an officer, only the way he carried himself could give it away.

Nearing Vaetorian Fleet
N.B.B. Sling Shot (DD-7)
2315 Hours

A handful of Imperial ships met the Vaetorian fleet out at sea, away from the coat and port of Roal city. Crews were at battle stations and weapons were ready if need be, but not trained on the oncoming ships quite yet. On the bridge of the Sling Shot stood many officers and enlisted personnel all studying the Battlemap in the center of the room intently. Thought the response flotilla was outnumbered and immediately outgunned they had the support of the rest of the fleet just outside of Roal city in the form of numerous destroyers, cruisers, frigates, arsenal ships to name a few. Knight-Captain Eleanor Foster stood in command of these ships. She reviewed the Battlemap as it lit up, displaying a text block while the message played over the speakers in the room.

She sighed and closed her eyes, furrowing her brow. The Empire of Vaetoria was a young nation, robust and militarily sound, however picking a fight with a nation the size of the Imperium would only end badly against their interests. She began tapping away at the Battlemap as her crew watched her, intent on seeing what their commander would lead them into, for it had been some time since they had seen any bit of real warfare. She cleared her throat, before taking the microphone and speaking into it.

"Imperial Navy Fleet Augusta, this is Knight-Captain Eleanor Foster of the Adeptus Classis, Imperium Militare of the Imperium of Birtonia. You have entered our exclusive control zone, martial law is in effect. If you truly are on the side of the legitimate government you have two choices. You can either halt your engines here and discuss landing zones for your soldiers. Or you can leave immediately and land on another portion of the province. You will have ten minutes to respond or be fired upon" said Eleanor as her crew watched on in approval.
