Inter-Galactic Security Council FT ALLIANCE JOIN NOW

The Galaxy is a dangerous place, especially for nations, and cultures which hold dear to moral integrity, cultural co-operation, territorial sovereignty and peaceful exploration and discovery amongst the innumerable stars.

Unfortunately our universe is a dangerous place, with unknown threats, dangers, and forces which loom to pick upon the weakest of nations. War is common place, death is everywhere, and darkness continues to press in from all quarters around the beacon of civilisation.

It is out of the great need for unity that the Security Council has been founded. The aggression of imperialists, the ambitions of pretenders, and the greed of despots all serve to drive nations, so inclined, to join together out of the primal desire to survive. So that they may proudly stand rather than fall.

Unity brings strength. Unity in culture, Unity in freedom, Unity in arms. The Inter-Galactic Security Council shall in the coming weeks form, and found its constitution and charter. Yet, at this moment in time, as danger lingers around us all, the Imperial Republic, puts it to tender, for all nations to join the council, and adhere to the basic principles of:-

Mutual Protection
Cultural Cooperation
Peaceful Enforcement

The Council unashamedly states that its mission goal is to bring about Galactic Peace and Co-operation through the unity of culture, the joint function of arms, and the tipped point of dialogue.

The Council therefore, makes it open and plain, that it shall denounce acts that are unacceptable to the international community. The Council shall declare justice, and shall at all turns to defend those who cannot defend themselves by whatever means, at whatever costs.

The Council hereby, declares that all members shall rejoice in the concept of sacrifice, in recognising that liberties, and freedoms demand a price from all.

The Council hereby declares, that all who are willing to pursue these principles are welcome to join a community, which shall herald a new era in our conflict torn age.

We have been requested to join this allaiance by the NERV arms conglomorate. While it is not normally our policy to engage in open diplomacy, we feel that this warrants a reply. While of course, any attempt to actually control such a large segment of this galaxy is most unlikely to succeed, we see no reason it warrants ourselves taking action. Our purview for direct action is entirely restricted to omnicidal threats and similar matters of extreme gravity - the 'IRON' claim is simply farcical, and personally, I suggest that you answer it with the rich symphony of mockery it deserves.

Incidentally, our own research implies that you are not the only descendants of the race known as the Alterans active at this time. There is at least one other, and will soon be more, that you are not aware of.

Greetings,

After much debate and careful consideration of the declaration of this alliance, we have determined that the Russian Empire will not be joining. While this is regrettable, we must make plain our reasons.

The alliance declaration states that galactic peace will be brought about by 'cultural unity'. This is not acceptable to us. The Russian Empire and its peoples will seek by all means to preserve their identity and culture as Russians, Turks, Finns, Cossacks and so forth.

Further, the declaration states that 'The Council shall declare justice'. It is our opinion that this is a gross violation of sovereignty, which can only lead to the subordination of member states to the alliance.

While the principals of the alliance are sound, the execution leaves much to be desired.

As the founder of the League of Armed Neutrality, we, of course, shall look approvingly on all seeking to establish peace and goodwill. Should this alliance hold to its stated purpose our two organizations may find occasion to act together, an event which we shall look forward to.

Jason Capsule, still at the conference where most of the discussion of this news was being held, wrote a quick follow-up to his intent to join:

The Capsule Corporation, and Raysia as well, are joining this security council as a show of opposition to the recent events involving IRON.  We reserve the right to leave this security council if we feel that the IGCS plan of action exceeds what we determine to be reasonable force. 

We support any effort to resist claims by IRON on space and territories where IRON does not already have a presence. We advocate the dismantling of the IRON probes. We support any effort to disable the FTLi walls, without intent of bloodshed. 
We do not support any use of force against IRON assets other than the above-mentioned targets, except in the case of invasion, which we will leave up to the threatened territory's sovereign to decide the correct course of action at that time. 

Violation of any of these terms by any force in the name of the IGSC will mean our immediate withdrawl. 

Please let us find a peaceful means of handling this situation before taking up arms.
