SCENE: Shazbotdom Imperial Parliament, Shaz City, Shazbotdom

"The Ardoki have been a major thorn in the sides of the Empire for years," Senator Henderson stated. The joint meeting of the Parliament was something that was rare, with both houses meeting within the chambers of the House of Commons, the Senators sitting in seats that would otherwise be used by the staff of the Commons' aides and staff. "They have verbally bashed our great Empire several times, even threatened to Assassinate members of our leadership!" There were some murmurs from the rest of the members of Parliament as he stated this, "And you want us to sit idly by and watch as they harass some other nation in the same manner that they harassed us? I say enough is FUCKING enough!"
There was an eruption of yelling from the rest of the Parliament after that comment. Sitting at the head of the Parliament to oversee these proceeding was not the elected heads of either one of the houses, but the Prime Minister of the Empire herself, Stephanie Alridge. "Order," she yelled into her microphone, drowning out all those in the room, "We will have order in this session. we know the Senator from Bolrasha's complaint about the Ardoki and their blatant disregard for diplomatic procedure, but I will NOT allow these proceedings to be turned into a circus. Senator Henderson, you will watch your tongue in my presence, is that clear?" He nodded to her that he understood.
"The vote that is before you is if we should declare a Cold War against the Ardoki as they have proven time and time again that they are a clear and present danger to the safety of the Empire. The vote is NOT about their intentions to other nations, nor if we should get involved militarily in foreign affairs of armed conflicts," she continued. She felt like she was lecturing children, but some of these senators were acting rather childish because of their anger. "Now, may we move on with the vote, or should I have someone held in contempt of this legislative body?" She looked around the room and noticed that all the legislators and pushed their microphones away from themselves.
The President Pro Temp of the Senate stood up and walked up to the podium, as the Prime Minister quickly vacated it. "In front of you are your tablets with the voting screen up. You are to vote Yes, No or Abstain. Refusal to vote before time runs out will consider it an Abstain vote. The Joined Membership has 45 minutes for voting." He hits the gavel on the podium and then walks over to his seat, picking his vote on the tablet in front of him. On the screens for the Tablet, at the top it said what legislative body that the person was in, this is to ensure that the votes are separated by the Houses for record keeping purposes.

Tensions Hit An All-Time High
After disruptions that caused mass panic throughout Ardoki from cyber attacks against the nations infristructure, the leadership of Ardoki has came out swinging. Sources inside the Imperial Parliament have indicated that the threat of Weapons of Mass Destruction have been become a major concern with the current problems that have arisen. This threat though could not be confirmed at press time as requests for comment to the Ardokian Government were not returned.

The Parliament Strikes Back
The Imperial Parliament, who just took to it's new session today after the recent elections, which saw a minor political shift within the Governing Body of the Empire, began with a joint session of both houses to discuss the situation within Ardoki. The main discussion points that were passed around was Ardoki's past aggression towards the Empire, their political grandstanding and bashing of anyone who does not follow their specific ideology, and a few other key points.
Senator Maxamillion Henderson went on record as stating that "They (the Ardoki Leadership) have verbally bashed our great Empire several times, (They) even threatened to Assassinate members of our leadership!" This caused an uproar within the chambers and forced the Prime Minister of the Empire to force a call to order to get the membership of the combined Houses under control. Even scolding the Four-term Senator for using 'language' that she did not want used in her presence.
The joint session ended when the President Pro-Temp of the senate took the podium and initiated the vote of both houses to officially make relations between the Empire and Ardoki more strained. This would officially start a "Cold War" between Shazbotdom and Ardoki, in which it will authorize the Intelligence Community to conduct fact finding operations and to move assets of the Empire to where they could keep a close eye on Paramilitary forces of Ardoki and watch for any military buildup that might threaten Shazbotdom, it's Colonial Holdings or any Assets that belong to the Empire.
The vote took only Ten minutes to complete, making it once of the quickest votes within the past ten years of the Parliaments history. At the end of the voting, the votes were tallied and came out as 748 to 1 with 1 Abstain within the Membership of the House of Commons and 74 to 0 with 1 Abstain within the Membership of the House of the Senate. With the Legislation Passed, the Prime Minister of the Empire signed on her line and the Bill was sent to the Palace where, in a small ceremony with reporters, the Bill was signed by the Supreme Emperor.

Military Buildup
With the passing and signing of the legislation creating the Cold War between the Empire and Ardoki, Military forces of the Empire were put on hightened aleart and Reserve Forces were put on notice that they might be called up in the defense of the Impieral Mainland against foreign invasion. Colonial Defence Forces were also put on high aleart and nearly half of the Colonial Forces were called up and reported to their bases overnight for combat readiness training. This marks only the 2nd time in the history of the Colonies that their resident Defence Forces were called up in this manner. The only other time being in the defence of Shazbotdom Miroxia against an attempted invasion by Cymbric Nations nearly Twenty-Five years ago.

Shazbotdom Initiatiates Aggressive Posturing Toward Ardoki

Ardokian Government Confirm their Desire for Peace and Friendship, However Defensive Measures Enacted
Ministry of the Exterior: "We do not want strained relations with Shazbotdom. In fact, we want to form a friendly and healthy relations ship with their government."


Ardokian Mobile Launch Vehicles (MLVs) equipped with Multiple Independently Targetable Rentry Vehcile (MIRV) Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBMs) photographed heading toward a military zone today.

The Empire of Shazbotdom has today adopted a hostile stance against the Social Democratic Republic of Ardoki. Their new stance is entirely uncalled for, and is justified with lies. However the government of Ardoki has extended the hand of friendship toward Shazbotdom, in an attempt to overcome our countries differences and currently strained relations. However reports show that the Ardokian government is not taking their threats lightly, with the military being placed on heightened alert, and the National Ardokian Strategic Force being placed on high alert.

The Social Democratic Republic of Ardoki, a country always looking to achieve good and peace in the world, always concerned with maintaining friendly relations with as many other countries as possible. That is the Ardoki we all know and live in, that is the true Ardoki. Yet two days ago, the government of the Empire of Shazbotdom shocked the world when it initiated a state of cold war between the Empire of Shazbotdom and the Social Democratic Republic of Ardoki. What's more is they falsely accused the Ardokian government of unspeakably horrible crimes, and made up other lies about the Ardokian government. Their reasons for this are presently unknown.

However Premier Alastar Connelly, the head of government of Ardoki, released a statement today, adressed primarily to the government of Shazbotdom. Here it is: "I understand that Ardoki and Shazbotdom have their differences and disagreements. All countries do. However I sincerely hope that our two countries can swiftly resolve our problems, and go on to developing a friendly and lasting relationship." This act from the Premier represents Ardoki's true desire for peace and friendship with all countries of the world, not just Shazbotdom. We truly hope that the Shazbotdom government will listen to our desire for peace and friendship, and not further their aggressive actions which could lead toward a mutually detrimental scenario.

Even with our peaceful desire exposed for all in Shazbotdom to see. The government seems to be taking defensive measures, in the unfortunate case of Shazbotdom declaring war upon Ardoki. The National Ardokian Defence Forces (NADF) has been placed on a heightened level of alert, with the National Ardokian Coast Guard (NACG) out in greater numbers to protect against hostile intrusions. The National Ardokian Interior Guard (NAIG) has also been ordered to prepare for possible defensive operations if called up. However this is mainly a precautionary move, as most analysts do not believe a war is likely between Ardoki and Shazbotdom any time soon, though to be safe, a limited amount of mobilisations of active units and a higher alert level has been enacted.

Mobile launch vehicles, equipped with multiple independently targetable re-entry vehicle intercontinental ballistic missiles, were seen in south-west Ardoki today, heading toward a military zone of the National Ardokian Strategic Force (NASF) (Part of the NADF) located nearby. The ICBMs on these vehicles were most definitely dummy missiles, however the military base they were heading for quite possibly has actual weapons which the vehicles might possibly be collecting, and then moving onto launch positions somewhere else. Such measures are not aggressive actions, and are done only to defend Ardoki against any potential aggression. Ardoki is believed to currently hold at a minimum, 85 000 nuclear warheads, however the government of Ardoki has previously stated on many occasions that a nuclear attack against another country would only be performed as a last resort if Ardoki was under threat of destruction. A nuclear exchange between Ardoki and Shazbotdom would lead to the complete and utter destruction of both sides, thus the movement of the MLVs is most likely a warning to the aggressive Shazbotdom government not to try and destroy Ardoki (whether through direct invasion or other means).

The Ardokian government and people honestly want peace and friendship with Shazbotdom. We don't want war, and we are sure they don't either. Let's just hope that we can achieve a mutually beneficial solution as soon as possible, and that no escalation occurs in the meantime.

Shazbotdom Marine Command issued orders today to order Coastal Defenses on high alert. With the activation of the Ardoki Nuclear Weapons Program, Anti-Ballistic Missile systems were activated all over the Empire, including within the Four Imperial Colonial Holdings. Rumors from within the Ministry of Defense are that the Shazbotdom Nuclear Arsenal, rumored to have into the One Hundred Fifty to Two Hundred Thousand Warheads, has been activated.
The Ministry of the Interior has warned all citizens of the Empire that if necessary, the Emergency Defense System will be initiated and all citizens will be warned and notified to enter the bunker system under all major cities. Nuclear Fallout Shelters are also open for business in all the outlying cities and towns.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is preparing a statement to it's allies in the Axis Commonwealth, Brimstone Pact and the Region of Ellorea that if a full blown conflict is initiated between the Empire and Ardoki, it will not be by the Empire launching any sort of attack upon the Ardoki. It will be caused by Ardoki arrogance and believing that they are better than any other nation on the planet when they need to learn their place.

SCENE: ISS Fredricks, Unspecified Ocean, 400km from Ardoki
Deep under the oceans surface lurked the hunters. Recently acquired from the Shipyards of Halcyon Arms was the ISS Fredricks, an Illuminati-class Ballistic Missile Submarine. With increased tensions between the Empire and Ardoki, it was decided by Naval Command that every possible outcome imaginable would be researched in case military operations had to be executed. With Ardoki's involvment in operations against their former allies of the United Left, Command figured it would be best to place several of submarines within strike distance of the Ardoki mainland. Spread out over several hundred kilometers were roughly 10 Illuminati-class NBMS as well as several Mason-class Guided Missile Submarines (GMS). Using satellites in high orbit, targets were picked for the submarine based missiles to ensure that Secondary Strike Capabilities were instituted should the Ardoki launch against assets of the Shazbotdom Empire.

Captain Hernandez, skipper of the Fredricks, was busy facilitating the launch codes for the various MRBM's of his ship with his XO, "If we are ordered to launch, we have to ensure that these codes are not only safe and secure, but also easily accessible." He stated as the radioman was printing out little red slips of paper from the encrypted communications network. "Remember, though, that these are cycled every 15 days," he stated, "so we have to ensure that once the new codes come in, these are disposed of quickly."
His XO, a man with just as much, if not slightly more, experience as the skipper, was a Veteran of the Imperial Navy. "Sir, we also need to ensure that we have the launch keys on us at all times in case we need to be woken up in the middle of the night to launch these puppies at the Ardoki."
"Mine will be on my neck at all times, as I am sure yours will be," he stated. "Let's have the men run drills to ensure that we are ready for any last minute launches." He looks around the bridge and drops his voice to a whisper. "Launch test at Zero Fifteen Hours."
"Sir, Yes, Sir," his XO said under his breath for the Captain to hear only.

SCENE: ISS Orbisberg, 723 Meters from ISS Fredricks
The scene was one of calm, sitting on the bottom, snuggled up just above the algie on the bottom of the ocean was the Orbisberg. The crew just finished their drills and now was waiting for orders to come in from the Homeland. Crew members who were not on shift were playing cards in the galley while others were listening to music on headphones. The Orisberg arrived on station roughly 6 hours ago and it has been a slow day ever since.

Premier Alastar Connelly was upset at the Shazbotdom government's refusal to accept our offer for peace. He thought that this must be mean that the Shazbotdom government doesn't want peace, but wants war. He would not give the Shazbotdom government what they wanted, complete and utter annihilation of both countries.
He would instead get Minister of the Exterior, Ríona Obrien, to write a diplomatic communique personally to the Shazbotdom government, further proving our desire for peace to them. If they refuse our move toward peace and understanding, their intentions for war would be proved. However it was not known if they were crazy enough to initiate a war against Ardoki, because neither country would profit from such a war at all. Peace, understanding, and perhaps even friendship, between the Social Democratic Republic of Ardoki, and the Empire of Shazbotdom, would be a highly beneficial resolution for both parties.

We view the Empire of Shazbotdom as a spectacular country, with political and civil freedoms which put many other countries to shame. Plus your economic system is far from oppressive, and ensures your people a generally high living standard.
Ardoki and Shazbotdom are the same in such aspects.

Due to the recent tension between our two countries, I would like to put your minds at rest regarding our intentions. We truly want peace and friendship between our two fine countries. Yes, we have had a bit of a patchy relationship in the recent past, however we would like for that to stay in the past. The government of the Social Democratic Republic of Ardoki hereby formally apologises on behalf of the Social Democratic Republic of Ardoki, to the Empire of Shazbotdom for the undiplomatic and possibly aggressive things we may have done toward you previously.
We don't remember threatening to assassinate members of your leadership. Perhaps you took the comments from Johnathon Smithington, a government lawyer whose remarks were of a personal nature and were not endorsed or approved by the Ardokian government, as threats? Either way, we apologise for that as well.

We don't want war or tension with your country, and I'm sure the reverse is also true? We hope that we can overcome or differences and establish peace between our countries, as that is the best and most profitable out come for all involved?

Yet again it is shown in Ardoki that tolerance of differing ideologies is non existent. The banning of various Political Ideologies and Religion within the Ardoki Nation is precisely the reason why the people of the Empire demanded that a Declaration of Cold War be issued by the Parliament a few months ago. They cannot be trusted to 'care' for their people when they deliberately oppress those who do not think as their national leadership does. If I may ask my fellow leaders of nations, who would you rather have running your nation? Someone who oppresses people at a moments notice, kills those who openly calls out the leadership of your nation for doing what is not in the best interests of your nation? Or would you rather have someone who listens to ALL citizens of your nation and not just a select few?
It is with these questions that I hope you would have chosen wisely and picked the one who listens to everyone and does not oppress anyone. The People of Ardoki should take heed, you have the eye of the Shazbotdom Empire once again in your direction because of your leadership. This 'Cold War' is caused precisely by this sort of activity of your 'Premier', do you really wish for this to escalate any further than it already has? Do you want a Proxy War to begin? I would hope that you would speak out to your leadership and demand that these actions are reversed. For the sake of future Ardoki. We, the International Community, are fed up with the totalitarian actions of your Government and the blatant disregard for the 'Freedoms' that they claim they are supporting even though, behind closed doors, they are working their hardest to take those freedoms away from you.
Fight for your rights. Fight for your freedoms. Take a stand once and for all. In the words of a great man, "They may take our lives, but they will NEVER take our FREEDOM!" Mícheál Kearney, the 12 year old son of Patrick Kearney, the Ardokian ambassador to Shazbotdom, just stood there. Taking insults from a Shazbotdomi student a few years older.

"Good for nothing communist brainwashed faggot!" the older Shazbotdomi child yelled at Mícheál shoving him toward a wall. "Go back to Ardoki and your beloved Social Technocratic Party you Ardokian filth! You and your kind are not wanted here!" the older child said before punching Mícheál in the stomach.

A big crowd of students huddled in the hall watching what was happening, laughing, filming the abuse, and chanting on the bully. "Fight! Fight! Fight!" they shouted.

"Leave me alone you bully!" said Mícheál as he recovered from being winded.

"No! I like hurting Ardokians!" said the older child as he grabbed Mícheál by the neck and began to squeeze the boy's throat tightly. However he let go after 10 seconds, and Mícheál fell to the ground.

As the older boy turned around to the and basked in their applause, Mícheál got up and took out a small pocket knife from his jacket. He walked over toward the older child, and plunged it into the older child's back. The bully fell to the ground, and turned over to face Mícheál. Mícheál then proceeded to plunge the knife into the older child's throat from above, causing blood to spurt all over Mícheál and the surrounding area.

The other children just watched in complete horror. Some ran for their lives, others just froze, still holding the cameras they had used to film the event.

Mícheál must have stabbed the older child at least a dozen times in the neck, before he got up, took a step back, dropped his knife, took a few more steps back, and collapsed against the wall. He just sat their, shaking uncontrollably and covered in his victims' blood, as the police were on their way. He had murdered someone.

The students in attendance when the incident occurred were all stunned by the events that had transpired. Watching the Ardoki child stab one of their own was the last straw, many of them looked over the pupil with a menacing look, a teacher who was several doors down when the incident occurred heard the commotion of the kids yelling at the Ardoki child and ran out into the hall as the students were closing in on the Ardoki.

Before the Teacher was able to disburse the mass of students, marching was heard from down the hall. All the children turned to see something that was rare in a school. Four members of the Imperial Guard branch of the SCS Marines were marching down the hall, weapons held at standby as they approached the scene. Each was holding a XR-01c Crimson Battle Rifle. As they had their helmets on, one could not see the cold stare in their eyes, but one could feel it as they continued to walk down the hall, the students who were still mulling about minding their own business stepping to the side at the sight of the nearly six and a half foot tall Marines, their boots clanking on the ground with each step they took.

One of the Marines, who some could speculate was the leader of the group, grabbed one of the students that was standing in the crowd about to lynch the Ardoki, of whom refused to move to the side, and sort of threw him to the side so he could get to the Ardoki child. "You are charged with the murder of Joseph D. Artinez, second born child of Stephan E. Artinez. Hands behind your back, maggot."
The teacher, who kept shut up until this point, took a couple steps forward, "Excuse me, but shouldn't the Capital Police handle this? Who are you to come in..." Before the teacher could finish his last sentence, he was silenced by one of the other Marines, who just backhanded him so hard that he flew several feet into a wall behind him. The teacher was barely conscious as he looked around with a dazed look on his face.
Walking over to the downed teacher, the marine who hit him pointed his gun down at the man. "No one asked for your opinion," he stated. "This is a matter of Imperial Security and the death of the son a high ranking member of the Diplomatic Corps. You WILL watch your tone and stay out of it, understood?" The teacher just shook his head yes at the Marine and stayed where he was.

As this was happening, the lead SCS Marine had grabbed the Ardoki child and pulled him over against the wall and started to do a scan of the childs body for any other weapons. Another one of the Marines had picked up the knife off of the ground and put it into an evidence bag, then attached it to his shoulder plate with the magnet on the bag. The marines then turned around with the Ardoki child and began waking out of the building, Outside waiting for them was an AC-01b MP, piloted by a member of the Marine Air Corps. They loaded the Ardoki child into one of the prisoner cells in the Pelican and then sat down on the bench across from him.

Mícheál Kearney just sat there with a blank expression, looking at the Shazbotdomi guards who sat across from him in their menacing armour. A deep sense of fear struck him. What had he done? What would be the repercussions for his actions? Just thinking about it made him feel ill. He examined the armour of the guards, remembering their actions back in the school. They had brutally beat a teacher who posed no threat to them, a classic sign of stupidity. As the stupid are incapable of finding words to express their feelings, so they lash out in the only way they know, violence. Not surprising really, since he arrived in Shazbotdom 4 years ago, after the last ambassador had died in a helicopter crash and his father was sent to replace him, practically every Shazbotdomi person he met seemed of significantly below average intelligence. Well, when compared to Ardokians anyway.

To him the Shazbotdomis were a brutal and savage people. Ever since he arrived he was bullied just because he was Ardokian. Racism, another sign of stupidity. This bullying had gone on for years, but got really bad recently after tensions between the Social Technocratic Republic and the Empire had considerably worsened. The Imperial Guards had committed police brutality when they hit that innocent teacher, the bully whom was unnamed to Mícheál was a brutal savage, while the blood-lust of the other students who attacked him like wild animals with the intent to lynch him was quite disturbing. There was something not right with these people, they were cruel, dumb and vicious. How has their society not fallen apart yet?

Mícheál singled out one of the guards who seemed to be the leader. He paused for a moment and then said "Where are you taking me? What will become of me?" without a single sign of emotion.

SCENE: Pelican MP-2143, Shaz City Airspace, Shazbotdom
The Marines looked over at the Ardoki child, one of them stood up in the Pelican and walked up to the controls for the caged cells and pushed a button on it, turning on a video recording device within the confines of the cell as well as recording devices around the rear prisoner cabin in the back so that there was evidence of what would happen within the confines of the Pelican. Their helmet video recording devices had also been recording the whole time, from their deployment, to the school and now to the confines of this Pelican.
He slowly walked back towards the rear of the aircraft and started to work the controls for the rear door, ensuring that the loading ramp was up in place while the top section of the door was opened up, allowing fresh air to enter into the cabin. The air was slightly thinner up here but it was tolerable to humans. The one Marine who was fiddling with the door walked to an area along the back door where the Ardoki child could not see him and unlatched his helmet and pulled it off. Sitting it next to him on a bench in that area, he began to eat a snack bar.

While he was eating it, he spoke up so that the Ardoki Child could hear him, "You have been arrested for the murder of a fellow student, who happens to be the child of a high ranking official of the Shazbotdom Diplomatic Community," he started. "Where you are being taken is a holding facility at Fort Leonardi, a Marine Base roughly 387 Kilometers outside of the Capital of Shazbotdom." He took another bite of his snack, "It is there that you will be held until your family lawyer can make it into the Empire."
Another one of the Marines chimed in, "As we in the Empire are not members of the World Assembly, I will note to you that their laws in relation to Diplomatic Immunity do not apply. If your lawyer makes that attempt during the trial, it will be thrown out and he will have to think of another defense." He then pulls of his helmet in full view of the Ardoki Child. He had a hard jawline and was bald, which one would assume would be easier since there would be no chance that hair would get in the way of his face. His eyes were some of the palest that the Ardoki child has ever seen. "The Trial will be set to begin within five days of your Attorney meeting you for the first time."
"At that time," yet another Marine chimed in, this time it didn't sound like the others; this voice was more feminine, "you will meet the judge who will preside over the case." It was then that the Ardoki child noticed that this was the Marine who backhanded the teacher at the school. One wouldn't have known that it was a female marine who was able to backhand a male teacher and make them fly through the air as she had done. "The judge will either be a member of the Imperial Supreme Court, or if it is applicable, the case will be re-routed to a Military Tribunal as this case might be considered a matter of Imperial Security." She then turned and looked around at her fellow Marines and then back at the Ardoki child, "I think we are done here."

A fourth marine walked over to the controls near the front of the Prisoner Bay that controlled the camera's and cells and pushed a button on it. The door, which had a window large enough so that the Ardoki child could see out around the interior of the Pelican, at least for about 90 degrees of the space, suddenly had a slat of what looked like Plexiglas close and seal itself so that the child could not hear anything that was going on out in the main bay, while he could still see what was going on. Another button was pushed and an air vent in the top of the prisoner bay opened up and a turbine started to pump fresh air from outside the Pelican into the cell. They would now be at their destination in less than 15 minutes.

"It wasn't my fault." Mícheál said, "They made me do it. I honestly feared for my future safety. It was self-defence." he said with a straight face and still shaking for shock. "None of you care about fairness, attacking an unarmed teacher who posed no threat, a sign of police brutality. Five days is not long enough to construct a sufficient defence, as this was a civilian incident, a civilian court should be used, and a trial by jury should be standard." he added as he looked the bald soldier in the eyes.

Mícheál was scared about what would happen to him, however he new he must remain calm, and get his story straight in his head. He wondered if the Shazbotdomi were stupid, how on earth is this a military matter or a matter of state security? It was most likely that they didn't care about fairness, and only wanted to punish him for being Ardokian. Anyway, how is the son of a high-ranking member of the Shazbotdomi diplomatic community more important than him? He was the son of the Ardokian ambassador to Shazbotdom, and the grandson of a member of the General Assembly of the Social Technocratic Party, the group which holds the real power in Ardoki? Anyway, his grandfather is also a very wealthy businessman who own billions of dollars worth of assets worldwide. He was confident that he would be able to come out of this unscathed, as it was not his fault for the death of the bully.

The Marines could see the Ardoki child speaking but due to the type of glass that was used for the sealing of the window that was shut between them and the child, they could not hear a single word that he was saying. He looked rather adamant about what he was saying, even going as far as saying that he was very spirited in what he was saying. The Marines chucked at each other due to this whole situation. They all sat back down in their respective seats and began chatting.

"What do you think will happen tomorrow for the celebration of the anniversary of the Corps?" One asked, looking around and the others within the prisoner bay of the Pelican. "I hear that there is going to be a special ceremony and even an extended medals presentation for those who have proved their might in battle."
"Eh," the female replied. "I would be happy with just an extra months pay so I can send some money to my family for my brothers birthday." She looked at the leader of the group, "I hate that I won't be able to be there for his birthday this year, he's turning Fifteen." She looked over at the Ardoki child behind the glass, her helmet still on. "You think that they will actually send it through to the Tribunal, or will it go to the Supreme Court Justice?"
"I honestly don't care," the Leader of the Fire Team Stated. "He knows what he did was wrong and it seems like he has no emotion either way on the matter. He did the crime, they will hold the trial, whatever it shall be, and a verdict shall be reached. Be it guilty or not." He stood up and walked over to the front of the Pelican and handed something through to the pilot, he then returned back to where he was sitting. "Honestly I could care less about the trial, I want to get back to actual protection details as soon as possible. This police type shit is getting boring."

The Engines of the Pelican could he beard shifting themselves and the Marines looked at each other then at the back of the Pelican. The leader of the Fire Team then stood up and walked over to the back of the Pelican and pushed a button to open up the top section of the door, the wind wooshed past them as the compartment was flooded with fresh air from the outside world. They could tell that the Pelican was hovering over a landing pad at the Marine base. As they felt the ever familiar slight bump of the Pelican touching down onto the ground, the rest of them stood up and made sure that their helmets were secure. As they got to a full standing position and the ramp touched down onto the ground, two fire teams of Marines, twelve total, were standing at the back of the Pelican with XR-02 Handguns on their hips.

"Sir," one of them stated to the leader of the prisoner detail. "We are to take possession of the Prisoner and escort him to the lock-up facility. Your presence is requested in debriefing as soon as possible. General Henderson wants to go over some information with you." The two groups saluted each other as the Marines who transported the Ardoki child to the base got out of the Pelican and walked off in the distance.
Three of the new set of Marines unholstered their weapons as a fourth entered the Pelican and worked the controls, opening the door. He then reached and rested one hand on his gun as he motioned to the Ardoki child to exit the cell, "Please exit the cell and place your hands on your head. Now walk towards the rear of the aircraft and stand still at the top of the ramp." It was good to see that the child could comply with orders. As he stood at the back of the ramp, the Marine who was in the Pelican walked up to him and cuffed him, pulling one arm behind the childs back at a time as he secured them with the restraint handcuffs. The leader of the joined two fire team then motioned to the child. They took the long walk to lock-up.

Mícheál complied with the orders of the Shazbotdomi marines. As they were soldiers, he expected them to be lacking in intelligence, from what he observed he was right, however he was adamant to be polite and friendly toward them, as they might be useful to him later on. After he got out of the aircraft, he followed the marines where they were leading him, to a cell most likely, as he thought to himself what to do. He turned toward the female marine, as he knew females were generally kinder and more understanding, and said "I'm sorry for what I did. The bully was just so mean, it had been going on for months. I just didn't know what else to do, I tried everything else." feigning guilt and regret. He then changed the subject rather abruptly, and so did his temperament, and said "You should notify my parents immediately. My father is the Ardokian ambassador to Shazbotdom, you can reach him and my mother at the embassy. You should also notify my grandfather, he is a member of the General Assembly of the Social Technocratic Party, and a very influential and powerful person. Remember to get my parents to bring a change of clothes, I'm all covered in blood as you can see."
He turned away from the woman and continued walking to wherever they were taking him.

The Female Marine he spoke to was not the same one as had been on the Pelican for the trip here. She may have been 'just another grunt', but one who had come from Fort Bragar, the training facility for Officers of the Corps. An educated Marine, she looked down at the child and smiled at him as they were walking. She figured that maybe someone smiling at him through this ordeal would make him feel at least a little less tense, as she had a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and used that degree while in the Marines to know the mindset of people during interrogation sessions.

"Messages have already been sent on the appropriate channels," she stated. "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued letters to them shortly after we picked you up, and an electronic communique was sent to your government notifying them of the incident. Which you were told that this would be happening by the arresting marines. So I am unsure as to why you would be making this request as it is on their arrest record as well as the audio and video record of the transportation."
She then looked at the child again. "Won't worry though," she stated. "The are that you will be kept in is not some three by five cell that your propaganda ministers claim we use, it is a lot nicer than that. We use rooms that are larger and nicer than that. It is more of a building that is highly secure. There are guards outside but each individual room inside the building is open up so that one can enter and exit at will. The only area within the building that is off limits is the kitchen, where a hired staff will prepare three meals a day for those within the building."
"These meals will be able to be eaten without utensils. Although if utensils are needed for a meal, the prisoners can request a private room to eat in so that they feel safer," she continues. "Each of the bedrooms include a 45 inch LED Television where you can watch television shows from all over the world. There is also a desk with a computer monitor built into the wall behind it and a keyboard built into the desk for web surfing. For mouse purposes, when you turn on the computer by pushing the button on the lower right of the monitor, a large 'mouse pad' sized trackpad will be lit up on the desktop surface for use in navigation."

They are walking through the prison complex of the base now as she is explaining this. All of the 'cell blocks' looked more like apartment complexes on the outside than an actual prison facility. While they did not look like the fancy apartment buildings from within the city, they were no where near dreary or dingy looking. Fences around each building separated them from each other and the outside world to ensure that there were no escapes.

"Each computer is run by a 8.0ghz Quintuple Core Hexadecimal Processor running the Plunix Operating System and connected to the internet using a fiber optic connection with an up speed of 4.5 Terabytes per second and a down speed of 10.25 Terabytes per second," she says. "If you wish, we could have a special connection done to connect your computer directly with a routing station near your Embassy so you can video conference with your parents. There is a high definition video camera built into the wall just above the monitor with a shade to protect the highly delicate lens for when it is not in use. When you are not using it please remember to cover it up."
As they approach the building in which Mícheál would be housed in, the female marine steps up to the identification station, "Just so you don't get any ideas, this is a quadruple redundancy setup. It needs voice recognition, iris recognition, hand print recognition and DNA recognition. All is checked via information stored on a mainframe that is not attached to any outside network." Shen turns to the station and inserts her hand, which takes a hand print and pokes a hole in her finger for a blood sample. She then puts her eye up to a lens so it can check her iris and leans into a microphone and says her pass phrase into it in a low tone so that Mícheál can not hear what she says.
As they enter the building she inserts a card into a computer station right inside the building and pushes a couple buttons on the keyboard. "You will be assigned to Room 102. It is on the second floor at the end of the hall. Here is your key to your room," she says as she hands him a key card. "Make sure you do not lose it. There are also two other locks that you can lock from inside the room to ensure privacy." She then stops in the middle of the main entry room and turns to face him, "Do you have any questions?"

Mícheál walked into the room, it would do he thought. However he didn't like the arrogance of the soldier, in the Imperial Republic the the military is often looked upon with disdain by the intellectual elite. However Mícheál thought that he would be out of the prison soon, as he was only 12 years old and too young to be kept in prison. Besides I acted in self defence. They wouldn't convict me. he pondered. Now he only had to wait for his parents to arrive and get him out of here.

Cadogan Shannon and Treasa Cummins were the parents of Mícheál Shannon, Cadogan was the Imperial Republic's ambassador to Shazbotdom while Treasa was a trained lawyer. They left for the Marine Base Epsilon as soon as they heard of their son's arrest, and went straight there via helicopter. They didn't know what had happened exactly, however they would not let their son be hurt in any way. Treasa looked down on the marine base as the helicopter landed down, she was scared about what a foreign legal system could mean for her family.

The control tower watched as the Helicopter approached the base. When it was identified as an Ardoki Heli, the base defense missile turrets came online to track it as an insurance policy that it was not armed and preparing to attack. They tracked it all the way from 3 miles out.

"Ardoki Helicopter, you are authorized to land at Helipad Sigma Three. Please alter your course on a vector of Five Nine Seven mark Two Three Four. Do not divert from this assigned course," the tower ordered to them over an open communication channel. Switching to a private channel, "Falcon Flight group Beta Seven, take off and watched that Ardoki Heli, make sure that they do not divert from their assigned flight plan. If you need to, you can escort them in to Sig Three."
"Roger that, Tower 1," the head of a 3 Falcon flight team replied. "We are en route, eta fifteen seconds." They slowly mad their way around one of the larger buildings of the complex and came up along the right side of the Ardoki Helicopter. As it approached, their weapons systems went live and the pilot of the lead Falcon turned his radio to an open channel and hailed the Ardoki, "This is Falcon Flight Group Beta Seven to Ardoki Helicopter. We are your escort to the Helipad that was designated by Flight Control Tower One. Follow us on the predesignated flight path. over?

SCENE: ISS Fredricks, Unspecified Ocean, 400km from Ardoki
The submarine had been in a slumber for nearly 3 weeks since it received it's first orders from Naval Command. Each day at 0500 hours and 1500 hours, they ran a drill to ensure that they were ready for any orders to fire their strategic nuclear and/or conventional weaponry upon military targets within the territory of Ardoki. The ships skipper was slowly making his way through the belly of the vessels, double checking the weapons system to ensure that they were set for the inevitable launch. Seamen were always on alert at their stations while on duty and ready to jump to work while they were on their break and/or off-times.

They were just landing; when they were not landing but were quite a distance away from the landing area all of a sudden. Treasa was shocked at this unexplained event, she gasped and looked around shocked.

The pilot followed the orders of the barbarians (OOC: As you do not exist within the territory of the Imperial Republic, your citizens are commonly known as barbarians.) and followed them their decided flight path.

Excuse my short posts, I don't know what to write as of yet since the trial seems like several weeks away.

At the Ardoki Helicopter approached the helipad, two fire teams of six Marines each approached the Helicopter and stood at attention, although not saluting, they stood there as the Under-Minister of Foreign Affairs approached the area as well. The Marines stood in two lines, facing the helecopter with about seven feet of space between the two lines, forming a sort of isle that someone could walk down. The Helicopter touched down onto the tarmac and the engines were heard powering down as the Marines walked a little closer and then turned their bodies ninety degrees, making it so that the two lines of Marines could hold their arms straight out and barely touch the arm of the opposing Marine.

The helicopter opened up it's side hatch as the Under-Minister approached. He then waited for the parents of the Ardoki child to exit the helicopter before he extended his hand out in front of him. "I apologize that this matter has happened, and it is being investigated by the highest authority within the Empire." He continued, "I hope that this comes to a conclusion as quickly as possible, although it is suggested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that if your son is found not guilty of the crime, or if the judge decides on a lesser charge, that you possibly switch his education to home schooling for the remainder of your time within the Empire. That way that this sort of thing doesn't happen again as there is still a lot of dislike for your nation within our populace."

Treasa nodded at the Shazbotdomi under-secretary and responded: "With all due respect, regardless of the verdict I plan on taking him back to the Imperial Republic. I think that would be the best outcome for all involved." she then abruptly asked to be taken to see her son, all the while the ambassador just standing there hoping to get in a word but unable to.

The Under Minister chuckled under her breath at Treasa as they walked up to the gate leading to the building in which the Ardoki child was being held. As they walked past the security checkpoint, the Marine guards saluted the Under Secretary as she nodded to them. They walked up to the building and the automatic door opened up to allow them access.

"I will note to you," the Under Minister stated as they entered the building, "that if he is found guilty in a court of law, he will be sent back to this facility for the remainder of his sentence." they walked into the elevator of the building. "Yours sons room is on the 4th floor." She pushed a button and the elevator moved. "You will notice within this building that the only 'security' is actually outside the building. Within the building there are no guards, no security checkpoints, nothing to that effect. Those within the building are free to enter and exit their rooms as they please. Food is provided by the operators of the facility and the kitchen is almost always stocked."
"The only similarity between this facility and a 'prison' is that within this facility, there are security camera's that are operated by a central building on the compound," she stated. "If there is a fight of any kind, the Marines at the gate are deployed into the building to stop the fight. All flat-wear within the kitchen is checked out using the room number and an ID card that is assigned to each person within the building." She continued, "this is to ensure that if someone uses or attempts to use anything from inside the kitchen to assault another person within the facility, they are easily caught."
"Ever since we switched to this style of detention, we have seen an extensive drop in assaults within our system," she stated. "Now, we only report one or two assaults per year when before we had this system, there were more than five hundred assaults per year." As the elevator stopped at the designated floor, the doors opened and they all got off. Turning to the right, the Under Minister walked towards the far end of the hall. "Due to your sons high profile case, he was put in this building, Dormitory Eight, because it has a lower number of detainees." As they reached the door, the Under Minister knocked on it and waited for the Ardoki child to reply.

Just as the Under-Minister knocked on the door, Treasa responded "His safety cannot be guaranteed in this place. If he is convicted I will ensure he gets house arrest."

Mícheál didn't respond to the knock on the door. However it was knocking would either have a key or would not suppose to be able to enter. He assumed it was the guards, who would no doubt be able to let themselves in.

The Under Minister shook her head when the knocking wasn't answered. She turned to the parents and then back to the door. Shifting her weight a little bit, she pulled out a radio that was given to her by one of the guards when she arrived at the complex a few hours before the parents got there.

"Guard Post 2, need authorization for entry into room 102 of Building 3," A few seconds later the lock is heard unclicking. "I apologize for that," she said to the parents. She then turns the knob and unlocks the door and opens it up, then steps to the side to let the Ambassador and his wife enter. "If you have any questions or concerns, notify me as soon as you can."
As she turned to walk away, she remembers something and turns back to them, "Also so you know, your child is as safe here as if he was detained in your own home. It is next to impossible for any deaths to occur at this facility, especially since this building itself has only 4 residents, including your son. The other three are here for other charges that shall remain unknown to you. Here in the Empire, there is no 'House Arrest' system as we have found that it doesn't do anything for criminals but give them a way to continue their criminal activity by using proxy personnel. With the system we have, each visitor is strictly vetted to ensure that they will not attempt to continue the criminal activity that the person they are visiting initiated."
