Political Freedoms Problem

Postby Ostronopolis » Fri Jul 17, 2009 9:23 am

Alright, now I have a problem, I recently (this morning) got an issue that would give corporations political say. Well, normally when I get this, I give corporations political say, and I went to do that, but I accidentally clicked the one that lets your leader take power. Well, normally I would have no problem with this, as it would drop me to the level of government I wanted, which is 'Capitalizt'. But to my dismay, come to find out it tanks my political freedoms and now I'm, as the WA category says a Benevolent Dictatorship. Now, I'm not asking the mods to redo the decision or anything, but usually the drop is not this dramatic, it drops from where I was, which was World Benchmark, to Excellent (2 points so to speak), but today it dropped from World Benchmark, to Rare, which is a little extreme if you ask me.

Anyway, figured I'd bring this to you.

I believe this belongs in the Issues forum, not technical.

I think you're right, sorry. I've never actually had an issue with the game before

You know you can change your decisions before the update, right?

I made the decision about 5 min before the update. My problem is not that I made the mistake, it's the fact that the drop seems more than it should be.

Some nation stats, especially the freedoms can swing drastically from one issue to another. The downside of course is that they can swing a lot farther in a direction you might not want. On the upside however, freedoms can swing back pretty quick too, unlike things like tax rates and industry variables which take time and effort to swing in a given direction.

Hm, okay. Well like I said, it seemed a little overboard, but I suppose I'll just have to hope for a political question before a month from now :ugeek:
