Mark didn't know who these people were, but they were obviously enemies...were they working for the government? The Phoenix didn't know exactly how he had been discovered, but he sized up the flamethrower; if he didn't deal with that, it could become a real pain in the ass for him. Contemplating his options, it was obvious go him that he wouldn't be going along with whatever they said, and he wouldn't be going down with a fight. His hypnosis wouldn't help him get out of this situation, due to their helmets. Frowning slightly, he knew he needed to act fast. Mark soon jumped back, making sure he was (hopefully) out of the flamethrower's range, once again placing his hands on the ground quickly as a thin layer of ice, created from the hand, spread across the ground, although this time his target was the man in a flamethrower. He planned to encase him into ice, killing him before turning onto the other three; after looking at their weapons, they seemed to be tranquilizer guns. Did they want to capture him? Whatever their intentions were, he needed go stay on the alert and wary of them even after taking out the flamethrower.

Something popped from the right, punching him in the jaw. Then left. Right. Left. Right. Left. It stopped in front of Mark, "Teleporter. Nest, huh?"

Mark

Mark staggered back, surprised at the sudden flurry of fists as he instinctively brought one hand to his face to make sure his mask was still there. Glaring hatefully at the stranger, he knew that he couldn't see the glare, with his mask and all. Did they all have abilities? He hadn't fought against other ability-users much, although there was supposedly plenty of them. Still feeling pain in his jaw and the other spots where he had been hit, he nevertheless tried to ignore it - Mark had been through worse, after all. Besides, his powers would be more than enough to fight them, even if they could teleport. Frowning slightly, he adjusted his mask before making a move. First, Mark materialized the sword in his hand, before generating some sort of ice armor - if anybody hit it, it would give him a perfect chance for Mark to freeze them. Covering almost everything besides his mask, he remained tense, waiting for the man to make the first move.

Headhunter laughed, "The Devil as my manager.... You got a great sense of humor stranger... I have no manager... I work alone. Now, what is it that you want? Has your God sent you to kill me... or do you require my services?"

"He has sent me to take you away. Yet you may not know where. You must trust me as a servant of God, to take you there whilst under the effect of narcotics.

One of the men looked straight at him. "Ice, huh? Check this out, scrub."

He floated up, and exploded. In his place was a fuzzy outline of a man, formed from pure electricity.

"ON THE GROUND, NOW!"

Electricity, now teleporting? Just great... He would have been fine had the man only been able to manipulate electricity, but now, it seemed like his body was made completely out of it. He wasn't sure what all of this man's abilities were, and there were still 3 more people who could be equal in power or even stronger than this man. Mark contemplated running; while he normally hated the idea, there seemed to be no other option. He supposed he could fight, but he was outnumbered and most likely out-powered (if that was a word)...there was no way he could fight them all of especially if they all attacked him. Not saying anything, he placed one of his hands on the ground, but he didn't intend to create any more ice; the ice he had previously created simply exploded, into thousands, even millions of shards and fragments of ice at the 4 men. Mark took this opportunity to run, only glancing back once briefly to see if anyone was chasing him.

The teleporter popped right in front of him, screaming, "BOO!", while the man made from lightning flew over head.

"You do now how fast electricity goes, don't you?"

Instinctively, Mark swung his sword at the teleporter, which, without some pretty good reflexes, would be almost impossible to dodge. Fuck... Mark thought; he had hoped that the explosion of ice shards everywhere would at least be enough to slow him down to give him enough time to run. Evidently this wasn't the case- there was no way to outrun them. They had him cornered - literally. Finally speaking, Mark doubted they would answer his question, "Who are you and why do you want me so much?"

The teleporter popped up behind him, and stabbed 5 tranq darts into his back.

"The Easter Bunny. He needs back up from a scary ice dude. "

Mark's mind barely registered the words in his mind as he felt several sharp pains in his back, almost like he was being injected with something. Well, this is the end... Mark thought as his vision slowly began to fade. The unconscious Mark then collapsed, slumping over the ground as his ice sword began to disintegrate.

"I was never behind you.", says the voice. And the holographic figure flickers. "God is always right in front of you."

St. Christopher grabbed the man's head from behind, and slammed it into the bartop, prepping a crossbow, and setting it to fire right into him.

Headhunter didn't react with pain, instead he just smiled behind his mask. He looked at the crossbow and laughed, his armor was strong enough to protect from a crossbow bolt. He quickly grabbed his Kukri and tackled the stranger. Pinning him to the ground.

"I am out of your league, priest boy." Jason said as he lifted his Kukri, and began to bring it down.

"God is with me. Where is your God?" asked St. Christopher as he lifted up, and kicked back, knocking off the attacker. He stood, and drew his broadsword.

"Her name is sin. She has taken the life of many her namesake. Today she will not kill."

"Wow... You are really making it hard for me to like you.... Your just one of those religious nuts.... And you name your weapon... I'll be glad to send you to your God." He said as he recovered, holding his Kukri with a reverse grip, ready to fight, "I don't need a God.... I don't need to place my faith in something other than myself... Oh, and you may not kill.... But I will."

With that Jason started to feel funny, he shook it off as nothing as he ran at the religious nut.

St. Christopher sidestepped, and stomped down, activating a pressure pad, revealing a sniper rifle right where he had been previously standing. As the assassin ran at him, he fired four tranq darts into the man's armor, watching as they exploded on contact, lifting up a narcotic gas towards his target.

"I will not make that visit today. God is not done with me yet."

Headhunter's mask kicked in as soon as the darts exploded. The air filter activated, allowing him to breath without inhaling the gas. He shook his head, "I guess you'll just have to make a surprise visit then." He said as he made another attempt, this time slower.

Whats going on.... he thought, Did that.... oh.... shit.... Headhunter just realized, the rum tasted a little off.

"Tasting it now? A little backup."

St. Christopher grabbed the slowed man's face, and attached a homemade emp short out device, designed to cutout the filter inside the helmet.

"That's right. Breath in the night. Slowly."

Headhunter was out before he could take a breath. Watch yourself... nut.... I don't forget a face.... Need to remember.... must redesign filter.... was all he thought as he fell to the ground, and his armor locked up, preventing anyone from opening it. Even with EMPs, the lock up could not be deactivated, unless done from inside.

Rook sat alone in a small cafe, looking out at the architecture of Prague. A cup of black coffee, untouched, sat on its saucer, steam rising from it to fill the wonderfully fresh air. The channel water below rushed and burbled merrily, and a smile crossed his face as he stared out across the water, taking in the bridges and the quaint architecture of the Czech Republic. He loved Prague, particularly at this time of the year, and nothing pleased him more than the fact that he was there on the company's dime. He only got about a week of vacation time per year, and there was nowhere he would rather have spent it. The cafe had wonderful food, but it was the coffee that he came for; he'd been to Italy, Columbia, even to Turkey once on an errand, but in all of his travels, he'd never come across a better cup of coffee than a tiny little cafe in Prague. A beautiful town with beautiful architecture on a beautiful day with a beautiful cup of coffee... There was nothing more that he could ask for. He grinned up at the bright blue sky, and murmured to himself.

A smile crept across Rook's lips. He didn't turn to face the voice, but spoke directly to the canal instead.

"Well well well... It seems I spoke too soon. Damn shame to ruin perfectly good coffee with a tranquilizer though; I've got veins, y'know. I'm sitting here, alone, taking in the view; there's no reason you couldn't have crept up behind me, just as you did it seems, and give me a straight shot to the neck."

He clucked his tongue, shaking his head a bit. Ten seconds came and went... and yet, there he sat, smile unwavering.

"Dosing coffee is inefficient, even while using rhino tranqs. I should know, I've been doing them since I was nineteen. You see, blending something like that has a tendency to throw off your concentration a bit; while typically etorphine or carfentanil is much stronger than anything a human's ever taken, mixing it with coffee, especially espresso, waters it down substantially. Even if you throw in enough to produce a funny flavor, you're still hoping that they swallow that first sip. In that fateful moment, many a careful trap has been undone, as you can see."

He turned, glancing over the back of his chair.

"Now, if you're willing to speak to me like an adult of course, things change considerably. If you'd be good enough to come and sit with me while I order a fresh cup, so I don't have to taste anything nasty while enjoying it, I'll more than be happy to take whatever it is you'd care to administer. I'll even show you where the good veins are hiding if you're low on the edible format. After I finish that... well, that's entirely up to you my friend. My schedule's open for the next three days, and my boss won't be looking for me until at least a day or two after that. What do you say?"

Hero / Independent:

"Wakey - Wakey Mother Fuckers!"

Chief looked out at the dozen or so half awake men and women before him.

"I said, wakey wakey!"

He picked up a baseball bat, and slammed it into the ground of the metal chamber.

Villain:

Before him stood two men.

Or rather, a man, and a head in a box.

"Hello gentlemen."

Yriel looked around, drowsy. "Hmm?" He pronounced.
"I'm not dead!" He exclaimed, "I'm not dead.... Why didn't you kill me?"
