The number of defenders needed for a simple detag is abnormal.

We don't often have to deal with tag raiders that hang around after the update so we can put the place back in order. Everyone here knows that main reason for options of current invasion/counter invasion gameplay is determined by ridiculous influence model: No matter how numerous or organized forces are participating, everything takes aeons to do.

Still, keeping a founder alive and active gives firesure, and fool proof security. Admins understandably search the balance, but the influence system (in its current model) is a main reason recent fubar macro level gameplay.

Also, FYI, Marshals have always been at least a four star ranks and brigadiers one star ranks. I politely request you make the necessary alterations (ie; Field Marshall, Lieutenant General, Major General, Brigadier General) to your rank system to satisfy my pedantry.

It's not your fault, you see. The current tech and rules situation within military gameplay means that it's not possible to be impressed by an invasion, just about under any circumstances. It's just too easy. There's no incentive to innovate in any way, other than develop more advanced tech tools that just make R/D even more 'fly by wire'. You don't even have to hide your ops anymore, not that that'd be of any use with the activity page. Once upon a time, it was possible to not realise a raid was happening until it was already over. Not anymore.

Ugh. I hated it when defenders whined about the above as a raider. I think I hate it more now as a fellow defender.

I get it. The game changed, Guy. It's not how you used to like it. That doesn't mean anything achieved in the game is now meaningless.

Absolutely you shouldn't! If you enjoy it, hell, I can't tell you not to do it (even if I personally have my qualms with it). The discussion turned to being 'impressed', so I threw in my opinion. You'll pay it no regards, I'm sure. I'll ignore the latter part, because not only it precisely makes my point, but I'm past caring for the banter.

(EDIT: I do think though that an R/D game that drives talent from the Defender side is ultimately detrimental to invaders too, so just some food for thought. Maybe there's a better approach here.)

Same response goes to Syl -- if you find meaning in what you do, that's great. I personally don't like where R/D is now, and I think some others on our side get tired of it because of how boring it is.
