We'll keep this existing thread open a bit longer, but we're allowing Gog to be absorbed by our overarching group, Madhouse. Existing Gog members are welcome to transfer over.
Seeking a family you can count on to help you set up and maintain roleplays?
Looking for a group that covers both P2TM and the Diplomacy Forums?
Just tired of not having a group of like-minded, driven writers?
Look no further, Pædagog is here!
Pædagog is not a casual roleplay group. Though we do like to maintain an atmosphere of family rather than a formal hierarchy, we take our roleplaying seriously and expect members to adhere to a certain level of quality as well as dedication when it comes to posting, setting up roleplays, and interacting with others. In short: be mature, be ready to learn, and be reliable. In return, we promise to be open, to be helpful, and to always support you in all your worthy, RP-related endeavors.
Come join a group that treats roleplaying as a proper hobby and pays it respect with quality and grace. Submit your application for Pædagog today and prepare to learn and teach your fellow nations what it means to be a roleplayer!
- Offsite Forum
Pædagog features an offsite forum where players can coordinate both nation and non-nation roleplays, find links on worldbuilding tips, and receive help with ideas for roleplays, locales, and characters. Being a member of Pædagog on Nationstates is required to be accepted onto the offsite forum. - IRC Room
Pædagog has a registered chatroom on the EsperNet IRC server, #NSP. Come join us if you want immediate help, want to coordinate plots for an existing roleplay, want to plan for a new roleplay, or just want to hang out and have fun. The chatroom has almost no downtime beyond EsperNet maintenance and usually has at least player or two in the afternoons and evenings, western and eastern US time. Use of #NSP is restricted to Pædagog members. - Region
The Pædagog Region is open to all members of the Pædagog Role Play Group. You will be given the password once you are approved. - Inter-Group Collaboration
Pædagog is not an insular group; we welcome collaboration with other groups. Pædagog members don’t have to give up their ties to other groups to join. Members of Pædagog will be able to represent the group if we are asked by others to assist on their offsite forums and will, in turn, be able to avail of assistance we are provided on our own forum by other groups, however this group does not replace established agencies such as the NS Mentor program, or the Cafe. - Events and Activities
Pædagog may occasionally participate in NS-related events or activities. These include:- The NS World's Fair, either as guest speakers or with a booth;
- Guest speakers on another RP group's threads, IRCs, or OSF;
- Non-Participatory mentors for Members running affiliated games (in other words, behind the scenes assistance;
- Supporting teachers running classroom regions;
- Running organization-sponsored RP games in the Diplomacy or P2TM forums, including nation-based political organizations in the NationStates subforum.
- Please avoid fighting honey badgers in the quadrangle.
- Please remember to feed said quadrangle once a week.
- Respect the Coconuts. (RESPECT THEM!)
- Be good to each other.
- Follow NS rules: Don't be a dick, keep it PG-13, stay on topic, off-topic chat to a minimum or done on IRC.
- If you would like help, don't spam. Drop your request in here. We don’t expect to be a rapid fire thread, so it may take a day or two for a member to get back to you.
Please review the Membership portion of the Charter. It lists all the requirements as well as explains the application process.

- Interested persons will submit a formal application on the official Pædagog thread;
- There will be a brief introductory period. Pædagog members will ask questions raging from serious to silly in an effort to get to know the applicant better. The speed in which you are approved depends entirely upon the promptness of your replies and the level of your activity in Pædagog over the following few days;
- Founders and Officers will review your application and activity and then make a determination. Official Membership acceptance is posted by the Pædagog Admin account.
