This attack will be bloody business. Still, I'm curious of seeing how our trebuchets and rams work. I think it'll go all well.

As mentioned before, a few Basiliscusian bombarders would be ruthless in the natural strongholds that King Jason knows. Due to the region's minimal infrastructure, collateral damage is encouraged. Meanwhile, King Timothy secures the rear flank and rallies other Kingdoms to his cause, sending word to the Orthodox monasteries and the Catholics in Illyria to come and convert. Timothy proves ruthless in a style that combines hit and run attacks, wearing down the opponents with small organized lighting fast Calvary attacks, Or prolonged archer fire before finishing up with an overwhelming offense. After seeing these guys hammer at the wall for a few hours, a few well placed strongholds along the roads will make any reinforcements think twice about attacking the siege army.

We have made wonderful weapons for our allies. I fervently hope they will be used worthily.

Though I'm not "King Jonas", I'll certainly put these "ballistas" to good use! Lets hope Timmy comes back with some extra support. This siege has lost it's luster...

I myself don't know what will happen. Andromeda is mysterious to say the least, and I cannot wait to reach here in Illyria after this war.

La Royaume de Francais wrote:King Jon of La Royaume de Francais sat at his throne like he did every day, but today was different, his daughter, Evelyn Lyndon, would be marrying into house Aurelianus to capitalize the alliance between the two kingdoms. Everything seemed to go by routine and in slow motion, Jon watched as the alliance with Verdmontia strengthened by the minute. He watched as the king of Verdmontia's son embraced his daughter. But above all else, he watched with pride as the favorite of his three daughters walked the red carpet, and accepted Julius's hand in marriage. She was so much like him, and he loved her, but she would end up being just another pawn in a game of thrones. At a time when Jon was supposed to be not only a happy king, but a happy father, Jon went to his quarters early in a depressed mood.
At his quarters he sat on his bed, thinking his life away. "Why am I so human?" He asked himself, expecting an answer from God. He didn't notice the tears in his eyes until after they had passed. "Why must I be so weak?" He asks again, but this time doesn't expect his question to be answered by God.
Jon didn't notice he had slept until after he woke up. As his eyes opened from a mid-day sleep, he came to a conclusion: Jon wouldn't be just another weak king of France, Jon would make a name for himself. He would secure his family, which he loved dearly, a role in French and foreign politics for the years to come.
Not just for him but for his people, and above all else his family.
.I won't allow such beasts to marry a daughter of Lyndon!
Even going so far as to suggest that King Gustav betray Timothy and appoint a Prussian regent! Later during the feast to celebrate the ousting of the pagan king, Timothy invited all members of the crusaders and the Catholic Pact to join in the festivities. Threefold King Jon insulted the Illyrian King, this time in the presence of the leader of the Catholic Pact. Albeit Timothy was still offended by King Jon's first two insults, stating that he deserved to sit with the lackawits and the dogs. But still extended the invitation to his humble abode. Gustav, the mightiest of these kings, accepted with courtesy deserving of nobility. However, Jon was less than polite:I know, and I'm telling you that you cannot marry one of my well loved children of Jon Lyndon. You can marry some Courtier in my halls, it would fit your barbaric ways more
Gustav held Jon's tongue, and he was not present at the feast. Jon left with the wordsUnless you want me to march into your halls by force! Oh how easy it would be to dispose of a weak king, who owns a land ravaged by war!
To this day, King Jon and King Timothy have not been on good termsAlright, but the king in Paris will never trust an Orthodox king

Even though I would have given anything to remain here, to fight alongside these great warriors, my people call me back. I must go, and defend the citizens with even my life, if I must. Finally I am married to Andromeda. Now we will go back to our land, and she will finally see ny world.
Staying here, I have developed great friendships with the locals. Just like Paul, I am sorry to be leaving. But God's will be done... Still, representing my kingdom, I must ask King Timothy that he lends us some soldiers. I am sure combat will break out in France, and we need as many men as possible.

Eugeníe was a young and very fine general. His death has come as a bad hit to all of us, but we need to be strong and go on living. My oldest son, Paul, is now 21, married, and can become General.

Tyr-Basiliscus wrote:Tragedy Strikes in Pays-de-Calais!
Not even two hours ago, General Eugeníe Guillhaume of the Tyr-Basiliscusian army, who had conquered Pays-de-Calais, has been brutally assassinated.
He had been parading in a city opin the South of the Region, but 4 men dropped into his chariot and stabbed him to death. All 4 were killed in combat afterwards, where even 2 Tyr-Basiliscusians lost their lives.
King Clyde, having heard the news, said:Eugeníe was a young and very fine general. His death has come as a bad hit to all of us, but we need to be strong and go on living. My oldest son, Paul, is now 21, married, and can become General.
So, the new general is Paul de Rouge, heir to the throne. We all, naturally, hope he survives this ordeal, and reaches the age in which he will become king.
General Guillhaume's funeral will be held in two weeks time in Caen, Normandie. Representatives of other nations are kindly asked to be present.
