The capital of Gaiaton is Palacia, so called because the Palace of the Almighty High Goddess and the Lord Emperor takes up 50% of the city. Palacia itself is slightly larger than London, and encircled by a heavily guarded 25 metre thick titanium wall, with gun turrets every 50 metres along it. There is only one entrance into Palacia, heavily guarded at all times by infantry and tanks.
The Palace is a colossal, gothic, beautiful structure 30 stories high and a few square miles in area. The rest of the city is made up almost entirely of poorly constructed slums, where the rest of Palacia's population reside. Palacia is the only permenant settlement in Gaiaton, all others being shanty towns or the populated ruins of former cities literally falling apart.

The Talycan Consortium consists of the descendants and additions to the original exiles from the Talyca system, refugees of an interstellar war long since forgotten. Lore of how the original mothership was stolen from the ancient aggressors has been passed down and written for ages, but no true records remain. What is clear is that the original period of exile was nearly the extinction of the race and only a good deal of luck led to their current enjoyed success.

It is suggested that what is now Sigma Dome is this original ship, with centuries of repairs and modifications hiding its true origin. No spots remain hidden for archaeologists to find, but there is no original record of this massive ship being constructed - just that it predates any other ship in the Talycan fleet. It is a massive, blocky spacecraft, consisting of a long central hub section approximately 25 kilometers long and about 2.5 km in diameter should you fit it in a cylinder. Connected to the middle is a large ring, 5 kilometers wide and 12.5 kilometers in diameter. Rotating about the center hub to provide gravity for the inhabitants, it is mainly supported by four massive spokes through which access tunnels run. There is a clear covering over the inside of this ring, with an artificial 'sun' clearly apparent to provide a night/day cycle for the inhabitants. The 'dome' is mostly open parkland with scattered large residences nowadays; aside from a few extremely dense farms, most agriculture is handled by hydroponics or separate agriculture ships. Metallic spires remain unfolded, ready to close over the ring in the event of attack. Four large engines are mounted on the outside of the ring alongside access doors to stardocks, clustered around each spoke base.

The center hub, center of industry and construction thanks to its lack of artificial gravity, consists of the Dome Mount and its accoutrements, the engine and power section occupying most of the aft, and the primary stardocks and industry in the front. Most striking is the universal docking spire on the very front - it has been significantly grown over the years and now juts down and to the rear over a kilometer, providing room for even the largest ships to dock. There is a constant buzz of traffic in and out of the entire area, as despite its massive size Sigma Dome only carries under a hundred thousand permanent residents; the industry on the ship itself occupied the times of many millions of residents of the entire consortium. Most of the agriculture and residency requirements are met through the supporting fleet of Domes and their own Outpost ships, differing vastly in design based on the technology available at commissioning and launch; these vessels number into the many hundreds as new methods of resource acquisition and efficient conversion to useful forms allow the populace to both grow and spread out. Sigma Dome is far from the largest ship; the upper limit of Talycan abilities tops out at about 65 kilometers in length, although this is extremely difficult to produce reliably. They would find a planet to settle down on, but their own evolution and technological progression have led them to become more comfortable on their ships, and it seems to be working well.

The leader of Sigma Dome, the Dimarchos Sigma, is the leader of the Consortium; the position of DS in addition to that of leader of the Consortium is assigned as an honor. He is elected by vote of the Assembly but serves until retirement or death. The Mayoral Facility is located in between Spokes 1 and 2, consisting of his residence and a small office facility connected directly to a stardock on the ring. Most official state business takes place in administrative facilities nearby based on department; the largest of these is the Assembly of Talyca, consisting of the highest official from each civilian vessel in the fleet; this is where the Consortium gets its name - each vessel is relatively independent within itself to the point where some have their own military, but they follow the common goals as dictated by the Dimarchos Sigma.

We are also home to a very prominant coporation called DI Enterprises, Inc. which is the nation's top employer employing no less then 8.5% of the populous at any given time. Our capital city is also home to the largest automobile collection anywhere on Earth.

Formerly known as Fenengrad, Chetopolis was the capital of the state of Fenland of the Holy Empire of Necheria. The battle of Fenengrad was the biggest battle of the revolution in the mid 1930's. The rebel forces led my colonel Blake came into Fenengrad and wiped out all of the Holy Empire forces. Then Colonel Blake went into Sir Fenen's private quarters and assasintated him. The war was won. Colonel Blake's statue stands at the National Millitary Museum in Chetopolis. It was also the home of the signing of the Chetssaland constitution. A more dark memory, the terroristic attack of the largest mall in Chetssaland and various other downtown areas was in Chetopolis.
