Me! It was me! My fault. I had Skype meltdown and crash. I made it blindly and late to Alliance of Dictatorships, but that was then also last target for me as I tried hastily restart Skype.

For the record, I didn't shorten my triggers. A small party at the timekeeper's home does shorten the amount of time he can be at his computer though.

Given that all of my recent recruits in the LLA have been quite capable of basic ops like this on their first update, don't really know where you're coming from. Maybe you're just telling us that you couldn't figure it out?

Given that all of my recent recruits in the LLA have been quite capable of basic ops like this on their first update, don't really know where you're coming from.

Chasing's not a "basic op"; it's several magnitudes above simple liberations and defenses because it requires fast reactions and constant vigilance. Even former raiders like Syl who were quick on their feet are surprised that they missed update by only six seconds. That's why some of the supposedly experienced defenders never do it.
Either way, I'm not seeing it.

Certainly chasing takes some experience, but its frankly not that hard to pick up. To do it really well and consistently, sure, but I've had recruits doing basic chasing early on, and stuff like detags and small libs on their first update fairly easily.
