Tuchanka: Urdnot Capital

Dak'ir sat upon his command throne, looking through reports and recent news in the galaxy to keep himself abreast of the changes happening in it. One in particular caught his eye though, a civil war in the Colony of Eden valley, an Elcor and Asari dispute by the seems of it.

Hmmmm never heard of this place... interesting, let's see what up there, he thought to himself, opening an extranet page to conduct some research. After a couple of minutes of reading, he came across something that caught his attention. Apparently the colony was ripe for economic development and opened to trade treaties that benefited both parties greatly if approved.

Never done something like this before.. But what the heck, a good trade deal will make us some much needed credits, he thought to himself, while he searched for and found a contact number for Matriarch Al'niah.

Greeting's Matriarch Al'niah, I am sure you are wondering why I am contacting you, and I'm sure you are probably quite busy seeing to your defenses, so I will try to take as little of your time as possible.

To put it bluntly I am interested in in the creation of a trade treaty between ourselves and think that this could benefit us both greatly if such an agreement was to be made.

Palaven

Nyree sat stroking his face with on hand while the other rested onto the keys of his terminal. Reading through the events and message from the hierarchy and its partners. One of the first was the newest. From the asari and elcor colony of Eden Valley. He had herd from the news vids they had been having trouble lately but he wondered, why were they messaging him? So the primarch opened it and read intently.

This a request for temporary garrison for the capital of Misu'lia. In order for the 1st United Army to be raised and ready to take on the challenge of finally unifying my colony under a signal banner,I need officers to trains train the troops along with soldiers to help protect the capital against the providence attacks. I'm willing to get credits out of next months budget in order to pay for these services.
Leaning back he sighed and thought, 'How do I settle this without causing a diplomatic shit-storm? I would sent the army to hold a border between the two forces. I could send In the Army and Marines to guard the capital and protect the government of Eden Valley? I could send the Hastatim marines to eliminate the problem entirely? Or maybe I could ....' Nyree stopped and shook his head disproving of his own thought. Looking down at the data-pad, and placing his hands on his terminal and began to type.

I understand your issues and I see how I can help. I will dispatch 3rd flotilla and the 2nd Marine division to your world shortly after this. You will be hand delivered the rest of the info nation as well as the price for security once they arrive.
The primarch hit send and then leaned back in his seat, taking a breath and reaching for a small box of turian chocolate atop his desk.

Eden Valley

Governess Al'niah

The Governess was walking along a glass tunnel between the Court and Republic Government towers that are now sitting vacant except for the Loki mechs guarding the building. She stopped right in the middle of the glass runway and looked down onto the huge court yard that held thousands upon thousands of soon to be marines, commandos, and crews for the various war machines she has bought for them to use in the up coming battle to faintly unify the Courts of the Elcor and the Eden Valley Republic. The only trainers she has are more veterans, not many Elcor volunteers neither being the capital closer to the Asari province and the Elcor all exodusing back to theirs.

With a huff dissatisfaction, she let a lite smirk escape her purple face as messages from the Krogan Clan Urdnot and the Turian Hierarchy. She opened up her omni tool and began to type back a reply to both parties with one hand doing all the typing, she might as well ask the Asari peacekeeping force to send down their ground forces and don't do any bombarding from orbit with her Governance go ahead. This civil war can't in danger the colony's infrastructure,it has just reached its peak and with the moon the only source of income not being tapped, she wanted minimal collateral damage.

Matriarch Seri's Office

Matriarch Seri looks over the report with satisfaction. "I honestly didn't expect this from Illium, though I disagree with showing them any favor since they claim to be outside Council Law I do appreciate the extra funding. Now I have a backlog of mail I need to send to various people that I have been meaning to get to." Before she does though she receives a message from General Neea. It is a forwarded message and the only words on it are from General Neea is the word "Orders?"

She clicks her tongue. "At least she was polite enough to tell me a Fleet will pass through our home system after requesting Turian aid." She says sounding annoyed and she sends out her messages though she writes a quick one to General Neea.

Code: Select all
General Neea,

I have received the message you have forwarded to me, I have decided to recognize the Unitary Government. You are to secure the peace and keep it. Though I expressly forbid you from directly attacking the people who oppose this government. The only exceptions is dealing with protesters or if your forces are fired upon. I would much rather not wage a military campaign. Otherwise you are free to help Matriarch Al'niah however you think you can.

Sincerely,
Matriarch Seri

To Dalatrass Aerhin Relbana,

This is more of a check in than anything. I trust Adina and Jule have been doing well under your command? If you need aid for anything the Asari Military would be willing to consider it.

Sincerely,
Matriarch Seri, Commander in Chief of the Asari Military

Code: Select all
To Primarch Nyree Victus,

I have been informed about how Matriarch Al'niah has requested the Hierarchy provide a garrison for Eden Valley. I had already send the entire Asari Peacekeeper Force to Eden Valley to provide a garrison about a month back so I highly question why she would request more. Though it doesn't seem she had gone through the proper channels since to get to Eden Valley you need to use the Mass Relay that leads to Thessia. You can, of course, understand that such a thing should have been run through those who control the relay, aka the Asari Republics. While I personally see no problem with this and I hate proper protocol as much as the next person it is rather unfortunate that an Asari Matriarch does not think her own people are enough. While I certainly have no problem with it, since I view the Asari as someone who is definitely not a neutral party in this affair you are still sending a fleet through the very heart of Asari space, through the very home system of the Asari, this will undoubtedly cause a diplomatic protest. Hence why I am obligated to request that the Turian forces work with the Asari military forces that are already there, General Neea is the woman to talk to. She is a bit of an... idealist but she is competent. Best of luck.

Sincerely,
Matriarch Seri, Commander in Chief of the Asari Military

Code: Select all
To Matriarch Al'niah, Governess of Eden Valley,

I am saddened that you view it to be necessary to call in the Turians to help settle the unfortunate events that have taken place in Eden Valley. If you truly feel that the Asari Peacekeeper Forces that have been sent there, which includes ground and space forces, are insufficient to keep order then I will accept this though it is not exactly a popular move amongst the Asari since it makes it seem like we can't handle our own affairs and the fact that you are requesting a Fleet to go right through the very home system of the Asari. The Asari Peacekeeper Forces are to be further bolstered by reinforcements in the coming months. General Neea will be the person you want to talk more with for further information on what the Peacekeepers are planning.

Sincerely,
Matriarch Seri, Commander in Chief of the Asari Military

P.S. Though I understand your situation. With Civil War erupting this means that the Peacekeeper Forces have failed their job, I hereby recognize your government, unoffically therefore the Peacekeepers will do all they can to aide you.

Eden Valley

"Our orders are to keep the peace not fight a war. I don't care if you view this as a chance to unite this world under the Asari, we have one job and that's it. It may be getting harder to prevent a war but we are peacekeepers, remember that." General Neea says lecturing her troops. "We are expecting more reinforcements from High Command in the coming months. Keep the peace and do all you can to prevent violence from breaking out. Dismissed." She hangs up the channel and turns to an aide. "Inform the new Governor that the Peacekeeper Ground Forces has landed and will be setting up Patrols and training regiments for troops located within the areas controlled by the Governess. Our primary goal is to make sure that the Unitary Government is capable of ensuring that peace can be secured. We will not however attack any one she is fighting unless we are fired upon ourselves or it is necessary to keep the peace."

Eden Valley

Governess Al'niah

She read over the Republics message, not giving any real care that they acknowledge the Unitary Government or that they disapprove of the request of the Turians. All is the same with Council politics especially when the Turians are involved. It was unwise to ask without checking with Thessia but living in a single planet system will start to make you forget that a mass relay was controlled by a superior entity. She sighed and watched the Peace keepers starting to land outside the city. She ordered the gate keepers to let them in and direct them to the cities barracks, they'll need a place to live while they do their peace killing and training of colonist to badass commandos and marines.

I understand your anger or views on me calling in the Turians, the fact of the matter is while the Untied army trains my capital city is vulnerable to attack and the Hierarchy has a certain history with their own insurgencies. I know I stepped over the line of my rule to request for them without the consent of the republics, has a token of apology I will send the government 20 credits from a recent trade agreement with a new partner of mine. This should cover the cost of the Turians entering the Athena Nebula.

His lens focused as squad of Asari militiamen fired their assault rifles at 5 Elcor with rail guns on their back."Pale squad I need a Flares now!"a commander shouted and two young Asari ran into the middle of street to fire their massive biotic attack on the Elcor killing them but as one went down its VI system survived and gunned down the young Asari until it to was gun down by the Asari militia.

Arcturus Station

Alliance Prime Minister, Amul Shastri, sat in her office looking over reports of recent events. The 4th Fleet was able to eliminate a small pirate group trying to cross into Alliance controlled space. She was glad that the idea of promoting Mikhailovich from Rear Admiral to Admiral was showing benefits as the 4th Fleet has been able to stop pirates from causing any trouble, even if its the only patrol fleet at the moment. While she isn't one for galactic politics, she did wish to become the leader of the Alliance as problems arise across the galaxy. If its not geth or pirates trying to hurt the Alliance, its the Terra Firma Party's anti alien beliefs, something she might have to address in the future as they seem to be the likely suspects who are funding Cerberus.

Still, there isn't enough evidence showing that Terra Firma is linked to Cerberus, either to them covering their tracks or many being sympathetic to them and giving false reports. Opinions of the Alliance differed based on the colonies. It seemed that the further the colony is, the lower opinion it has of the Alliance, most likely due to the Alliance not completely doing the best job at defending outer colonies, as only small garrisons are in place.

Even with looming problems, Shastri had plans to allow the Alliance economy to grow, and while it would be years before it would match the Turians or Asari, any growth in the economy would be better in the long run, especially in a galaxy where anything could happen.
Uh, they're called green hearts.

You racist.

General of the Hastatim
Larenus Corinthus
Eden Valley

Walking up the solid steps of the Misu'lia spaceport, the general looked back at the protests lining the spaceport fences and buildings. Shaking his head in disapproval, how could the government have gone so bad that they allowed this kind of behavior? Disgraceful is what it was. Turning back Corinthus climbed the last few steps and passed the two asari soldiers guarding the door. The place was busy with activity and at the same time lousy with loitering or perhaps displaced worker, the disorganization of this situation was becoming all to clear. Passing several workers the turian turned to a woman at a desk and said, "You, Elcor, Where is matriarch Al'niah? Tell her that General Corinthus of the turian hierarchy is here and needs to deliver a message." Turning quick the general took a seat in a nearby waiting chair, folding his legs the general picked up a data pad from the waiting room table and began to read the human magazine People, a now scandalous magazine that had been catching on on Palaven, this issue titled "Actress War'kal, Elcor or Elc-Whore?" The general scrolled through the pages to kill time and to wait on the matriarch.

Colonel Partinax
2nd Marine Division
Landing in capital space-port
Eden Valley

The colonel sped out of the shuttle and onto the deck, his lungs filling with the fresh unfiltered air of a metropolitan area. His job was simple but defiantly did not look good on a job application. He was commander of the 2nd Marine division Hastatim. His job was to eradicate all forms of resistances from the people toward the government. A cruel but needed profession it was. Gathering near the a command building which had been erected before his arrival the colonel stepped in and looked down at the 3D rendering of the world and its main capital. Looking around the map for a short time he found a perfect place to set up the "Safe Camps". One main camp would be placed in the center of the city, right smack on the border of the war zone. The others were smaller and would be scattered throughout the world. He then dispatched orders to the sapper crews to began the process of building these camps and then sent teams of security with them. Next was to shut down all transit to and from Eden Valley. The next step was to prevent any shuttles fro leaving and arriving but the 3rd flotilla already had that covered and had already begun the steps for this security measure. Next Partinax issues standing orders to 2 brigades to start operations, working from the inner city's on outwards. These groups had rules of engagement 2, fire only if and when fired upon. The next steps were to go house to house and building to building and ask all residents to make there way to safe camps immediately. If any resistance from the resident and or occupant arises, you shoot to kill immediately and pull there bodies to the road for collection crews to arrive and cremate the remains as to not cause sickness. This will go on till every home is cleared and opposition is crushed. After reviewing everything he began to run the numbers. 22,000 marines were now planet side. 5,000 would be issued riot gear and other non deathly countermeasures along with small arms such as assault rifles and anti personnel grenades to disperse crowds and keep the peace in the city. 1,000 were being placed as logistical personnel. Another 2,000 were being placed on security for logistics. 1,000 would be placed in security here at the space port to assure the new hastatim HQ was secured. 5,000 will be dispersed to safe camps to secure the population. 2,000 would be put on collection detail and contamination detail. and the other 8,000 would began the pacification of the Eden Valley population. Looking thought the population of the planet of each location and reviewing the numbers of registered small arms, the colonel decided that the populations casualty's would number in the 30,000 area, those were positive numbers. Troop casualty would number at around 1,000 at the most in a bad scenario. Content with the files content, the general copied it and sent it to General Corinthus and the asari general on site, General Neea and then to the Primarch.

Primarch Victus
Palaven

Reading thorough the projected results of operations on Eden Valley the primarch was content. Such low numbers were usually rare in non turian environments. The people of this dreadful world defiantly had an issue with authority of there matriarch. And many would say they would be no different to turian authority. Only that most people don't take into account that turian authority come in the form of a bullet, and a bullet is a universal language for "set the fuck down." Nyree knew the rest of the galaxy would see this as some kind of turian aggression or some other tabloid bull shit. Bu the fact of the matter is, his people are the galactic peace keepers, and the primarch wanted to make it damn clear that he was going to keep the peace. Clicking out of the results he went on to a few more messages that had arrived earlier and began to read off the first, being a letter from the asari matriarch herself, the lovely Seri. Reading through the primarch almost had a face-palm moment when he realized that he should have done this and skipped his own protocol. And so he began to type away on his keyboard, the yellow glow of the omni light shading his dark grey skin orange.

Hello ma'am, it is good to hear from you again, altho I wish this were of a better circumstance. I wish to formally apologize the you personally and to the rest of the asari people for trespassing into asari republics space without the consent of high command. I was an error on our part and my own. We will not forget this next time but as of now operations have started on the world of Eden Valley and they cannot be shut down now. I am going to attach the files sent to me by one of my men currently on the world who is conduction operations. Now I do not wish for this in any way to harm the way or or your people think of the turian people. But you will defiantly be seeing a lot of so called "deaths" and "refugee displacement"  in the near future as hastatim has been activated. This is the way we handle situations and they did after all ask us to help them. I hope you take all the information into account and I do believe that your general and the governess of Eden Valley have also been sent this file.

Best regards,
      Primarch N.C Victus

Happy with the content of this message the primarch attached the files from the hastatim operations and then hit send. After reading a few, one of which from his general of the Army Ari. The message explained how the army needed more coordination with our close ally's and joint training was in order. All the primarch needed to do was sign off on the documents so that they could be sent to the salarians. Nyree read them over, and then again, and then again and the signed off on the paperwork sending it back to general Ari and forwarding the papers and proposal to the Salarian Union. The letter contains information for joint ops to take place in the Sigurds Cradle cluster on the desert world of Trigianta Petra for desert survival courses and then on its moon for 0 gravity courses with one salarian army division and the best of the best in the turian ground army, the 26th Armiger Legion. The Turian's lethal 26th Armiger Legion is one of the most feared in the the Galaxy. Being the most reputable Turian legion, they are also tasked with the most difficult and desolate of operations. Sending the information to the salarians the primarch cracked his fingers and logged off of his terminal, the moon was high and the primarch needed some rest.

Eden Valley Space Port

Governess Al'niah

A white shuttle speed though the slow traffic and landed on a pad on the spaceport. The side door opened and the tall purple Asari matriarch stepped out of the vehicle followed by two Loki mechs armed with small arms."General Corinthus, one of my officials has said a squad of Hastiam are knocking on doors and as already killed a Elcor Gun sales man"she said a calm voice but it didn't take a long for one to figure out that she was obviously displeased."These brutish operations need to halted at once!" The Matriarch said"if you won't then I would ask you to leave. Your butchering will cause more harm than good"with that the Governess waited for the Turian General to what she expected to be I don't give a f*** attitude well this isn't a Turian colony, these are Asari and Elcor Republic citizens, not targets for Turian execution squads. Already they have failed to do what she asked and makes it that much harder for her to give hem what she wanted, the future was more important than the present.

Eden Valley,Elcor Home

Elcor Specialist

As a squad of Hastiam entered a house that didn't respond to their demands,a loud explosion erupted from the front door and sent two mostly intact Turians out into the street. Out of the dust and smoke a battled sacred Elcor carrying a rocket luncher and a chain gun on his back,a cigar in his mouth."With much enthusiasm:Get ready to die you filthy silver heads"he said in his loud monotone voice, his VI systems launching a barrage of missiles down the street towards the Hastiam death squads as his chain gun started to fire at them as well"With much fanaticism:FOR THE COURTS"he roared and trained the chain gun down street, killing a few fleeing Asari.

Her omni tool suddenly started flashing which meant something important had been sent to her."Excuse me general"she said and popped up her omni tool to look over the hastily written message in which her eyes widen."What he's here,in the Captial!"she said more obviously upseat. The appearance of this mad Elcor meant the Court armies were not far off.

Looking up at the asari as she spoke to the general sighed and put down the magazine data pad. Uncrossing his legs he stood up and waited for her to finish. "Ma'am I-" He was cut off by a beep from her omni tool. He then nodded when she excused herself. Only a few feet away the general couldn't help but noticed a slight panicked look on her face that wasn't there before. Waiting for her to return he continued, "Ma'am I assure you , this is the way these things need to done to assure galactic stability. If you wanted a mediator you you should have relied in your own people the asari. But you wanted a peacekeeping force. And that is in full what you are getting. The hierarchy wishes to solve your issue. And we cannot leave till your problem is solved. Operations will take less than a month or two to pacify this size of a population and then we will leave, no sooner, I have a mission here and I will see it through." ending on that thee general handed the woman a data-pad full of the statistical information and nodded," These are the projections, Consider this free of charge as this is our job in the galactic community." Giving a toothy grin the general placed his hands behind his back, We are expecting gun ships and fighter support to be over the world when our fleets are done with more important matter." The general took a look around at the fields and building around the space port. and took a great inhale. "We wont be here long matriarch, you will hardly know we are here." giving a nod the general the general began to walk away toward a shuttle that would take him back to orbit to direct things from the flotilla and provide orbital support with the frigates..

General of the Peacekeepers
Neea Fel
Eden Valley

"This location is under the protection of Asari Peacekeeper Forces!" General Neea yells into a megaphone. "Approach any further at your own risk!" General Neea is someone who prefers to be on the front lines so she is commanding her forces from the front. While she yells this at the Elcor the Artillery Battalion is acquiring a targeting solution, the Infantry Division has dug in, and the Gunships are taking up position to attack. The Elcor ignore her and actually attack the Peacekeepers. "Return fire!" She yells and the battle commences. "Inform the Turian General that the Asari Peacekeepers are engaging in self defense battles!"

Eden Valley Space Port

Governess Al'niah

She glared behind her shoulder at the insulting Turian, realizing her mistake of calling the Hierarchy. So she'll just take their word for it,they'll do their given job without the colony giving them nothing in return,Al'niah would not be so easily under minded even if meant she lost control over the situation."General any infrastructure you decide to bomb will be coming out of your governments pocket, this isn't a Turian world were you get to do anything you want and don't have to worry about the consequences"she said and climbed in her own white shuttle and was whizzed off towards her capital towers.

Eden Valley,Elcor Front

Elcor Specialist/Infantry

The Elcor were blazing their chain guns and rocket launchers at the entrenched Asari platoons and Turian Hastiam squads. Their specialist was using his mounted rocket launcher to send multi missiles at the enemy. The Elcor have taken off their universal translators in order to keep their commands hidden. The loud grunts and calls they gave out rang though the streets as they advanced slowly at the Peacekeepers positions.

Eden Valley,Asari Front

Asari Specialist/Infantry& Militias

The Asari have entered the fighting in and around the capital, their vanguard reporting to have come from the south. They have started to engage with skirmishes with Capital mechs along with a few squad of Turian Hastriam while avoiding the Asari Peace keepers for the moment.

Office of the Dalatrass,
Sur'Kesh

At the behest of the High Commander, the Dalatrass had gone down to the STGHQ, to respond to a training request with the Turians. "Very well Commander... Send the 13th Salarian Guard division," stated the Dalatrass. "It will take some time to get our forces there without a transport, we'll have to make a number of trips with our Assault Landers, to move the troops, and also the supplies." "Very well, Commander. Assign Patrol Fleet One to escort duties, we need to make sure our Landers arrive there safely." "It shall be done, Dalatrass."

Salarian Embassy,
The Citadel

After the Phantom and all the Council forces had disembarked, they went to the Salarian Embassy to debrief from the situation that they had encountered on Omega. Most of it was pretty routine; losses, what happened, who was it, things that would go into the Gambler's STG file, should further action be taken on Omega. "Very well, Commandos," the debrief agent, an STG Strategy Commander, three steps below High Commander Gubame shuffled some papers, and was writing up the last bit of the report to encrypt, compress, and send off to Sur'Kesh on the next shuttle. "Is there anything else you wish to tell me?" asked the agent. "Yes sir," started Aex "We ran into one, possibly two enemy combat specialists while engaging the Gambler's forces in the hangar. One seemed to have a blade for an arm, very quick, very agile, and very strong. Took a thirty foot drop like it was nothing before attacking Jule, one of the two Asari Commandos we had with us. The second we suspect, was a sniper; the one who took the shot at my head. We had no contact with him, then all of a sudden, a rifle came through the main hangar door, and took the shot at me, according to several of our other support teams. No time to stabilize or aim, the rifle just came around the corner, took the shot, and disappeared just as quickly." finished Aex, still getting used to the missing piece of his left antenna. "Very well, I'll make sure to add them as an extra dossier. Thank you, Commandos. I believe you're both wanted back on Sur'Kesh. We have decided to return the Blackwatch to Turian service, and Adina and Jule to the Republics, following the wounds and losses they've suffered." With that, the debriefing ended, and Aex and Wiks left to return to the Phantom with the remaining SpecOps teams, and receive their next batch of orders. Then he quickly wrote up the dossier on Sabre and Longshot, code names for the two Operatives that were encountered in Omega, attached with some photos gathered from armour cams during the combat in the hangar.

Once they had left the office, Zarpum Coran, the Strategy Commander, wrote a missive to both the Republics and Hierarchy, with the report, dossiers, and medical information concerning the wounded Blackwatch, and Jule's severed arm:

Code: Select all
To the Turian Hierarchy for immediate release to the Primarch,

Attached in this missive are the reports and dossiers concerning the firefight in Hangar Four-Seven-Besh in Omega, and the two hostile Operatives spotted there, codenamed Sabre and Longshot. Exact details of the firefight are in the report. During the fight, however, three Blackwatch officers were killed, and five more were wounded engaging Sabre during the initial ambush. This missive was entrusted to the Blackwatch to deliver, and due to their losses, we are returning the Blackwatch to Turian service completely and totally. We, the Salarian Union, thank you for the loaning of your forces, and do feel great sorrow at the loss of three of the best Turian officers.

Zarpum Coran,
Strategy Commander, STG,
Salarian Embassy, the Citadel

Code: Select all
To the Asari Republics for immediate release to Matriarch Seri,

Attached in this missive are the reports and dossiers concerning the firefight in Hangar Four-Seven-Besh in Omega, and the two hostile Operatives spotted there, codenamed Sabre and Longshot. Exact details of the firefight are in the report. During the fight, however, Jule suffered the loss of her right arm due to Sabre's actions during the firefight, immediately after he killed three Blackwatch officers, and wounded five others. Due to the wounds taken by Jule, we are returning both Adina and Jule to the Republics' military totally and completely. This missive has been entrusted to Adina and Jule for safe delivery to the Matriarch in charge of the Asari Republics. We, the Salarian Union, thank you for the loaning of Adina and Jule to our command, and feel great regret for the wounding of Jule.

Zarpum Coran,
Strategy Commander, STG,
Salarian Embassy, the Citadel

After finishing the missives, he called in the respective parties, encrypted both message pads, handed them to be delivered, and also included the dock information for the shuttles that would return the Commandos to Thessia, and the Blackwatch to Palaven.

The Phantom,
Near the Widow Mass Relay

As the Phantom was about to commence the relay jump to the Annos Basin, a high-priority message arrived containing new orders from the Dalatrass on Sur'Kesh.

Code: Select all
To the Phantom:
Immediate reorder to the Eden Valley Colony. Growing insurrection and full-blown Civil War in progress. We have decided to intervene. Report directly to the Eden Valley spaceport, and have Wiks and Aex meet with the Governness. You will be placed largely at her discretion, however, do not engage in combat operations, that is an absolute, Commandos. As usual, any information you encounter will be sent to the STGHQ for archiving. A copy of this message will be sent immediately following this one. Show the clean copy to the Governness. Hold at the Widow relay until the confirmation of your flight path is approved by the Republics.
The Dalatrass.

Just as the Commandos finished reading the message, the second, clean copy arrived:

Code: Select all

Report directly to the Eden Valley spaceport, and have Wiks and Aex meet with the Governness. The Salarian High Dalatrass Relbana, Sur'Kesh

Zarpum Coran,
Salarian Embassy, The Citadel

After he watched the Phantom take off, Coran went back to the Citadel, and found a message there waiting for him. It was a request from the Dalatrass ordering him to file for approval of the Phantom's flight path to Eden Valley.

He spent several minutes typing up the formal request;

Code: Select all
To the Asari Republics from the Salarian Union

Attached is the flight path for the SUV Phantom stealth frigate. We request your approval for its passage through Republics space to Eden Valley. It will be sent to assist with the civil war currently ongoing there with STG SpecOps squads, and Union Commandos in a non-combat role. The Phantom is currently holding at the Widow Relay. If you approve of this request, please file the approval directly to the Phantom, and to SUr'Kesh, and if you deny, please report the same.

Thank you,
Zarpum Coran,
Salarian Embassy, the Citadel.

Arcturus Station
Prime Minister's Office

"Please tell me how supporting this colony would help the Alliance at all. To me it seems that we are sending our soldiers to their deaths and nothing more. If the other council races wish to help, let them, it isn't our problem." Shastri has been arguing with her most trusted advisor for hours after more reports of the conflict on the Eden Valley Colony arrived. So far, Shastri has been reluctant to send any support to a single planet, something that wouldn't really help in the long run.

"You see it as a waste. I see it as an opportunity. If we send support, it will show that the Alliance is willing to get much more involved in galactic politics and peacekeeping missions. All we have to do is send a force there and everything will be fine."

"And why would we do that? Sending our soldiers to their death is only hurting us in the end."

"We lost soldiers defending the council and looked at the result. We were able to get a seat on the Council. We need to show the Council that the Alliance is willing to help and keep peace in the galaxy."

Shastri knew her advisor had a point. Before the Battle of the Citadel, Humans were only second class citizens. After the battle, they were given a spot on the Council and had their standing in the galactic community increased. "Even if I wanted to send soldiers, it would have to go through the Parliament, and most wouldn't want to deploy soldiers there, the vote would be against me."

"Then send some spec op teams. The Parliament wouldn't find out, which allows you to bypass them, and only a few Alliance soldiers would be in danger. Its a win-win situation for us."

Shastri though about this for a moment. While sending soldiers to the colony is an idea she is against, it does show that the Alliance is taking a much more active role in the galaxy. It also doesn't cause many problems for her as the Parliament wouldn't know about it.

"Alright, you win. I'll contact Major Yung and Admiral Hackett.

As the advisor stood and left, Shastri began to call the two military leaders. After about 10 minutes, each of them were standing in front of her. "Gentlemen, as you may or may not know, there is a civil war ongoing on the Eden Valley Colony, and I have decided that we will intervene. Major I ask that you allocate one of your squads to the operation. They most likely won't see any fighting as I will ask for them to only train troops."

"Hmmm. I can do that. I'll send the 1st spec ops squad. The 2nd will be kept in reserve if called upon."

Shastri nodded. "Admiral, I ask that you allocate a frigate to transport these soldiers to the planet. I'll give the coordinates and will ask for passage from the Asari."

Hackett, the man who helped Shepard save the Citadel, nodded. "I can do it, but how long will these soldier be there?"

"Only for a few months, I hope. I will ask the government on the colony to not place them in combat operations, and I might pull them out if need be."

Hackett nodded. "Alright, I have a frigate ready to take them, just give the word." With that Hackett and Yung ended the call.

We have heard of your planet's ongoing conflict and have decided to help. A frigate currently holding Alliance operatives is being prepped to head to your planet. I ask that the operatives on board do not take part in any combat operations, and be given non-combat roles. They are experienced and can help train any of you soldiers. The one in charge or the unit is Commander Williams. Speck to her once they arrive to give them their assignments, as these soldiers are at your disposal.
Uh, they're called green hearts.

Matriarch Seri's Office

"So much mail." Matriarch Seri grumbles as she reads over a message from the Primarch. "I would sooner be leading the military out on campaign.

From: Primarch Victus

"As polite as ever, Primarch." Matriarch Seri says. "I didn't actually expect a formal apology. Might as well get the reply ready."

To Primarch Nyree Victus,

I am glad you understand my situation. I will read over the information you have sent of course and you have my thanks for it. Let me be blunt in saying that I do not view this as damaging between political relations between our respective factions. Also some may grumble but I do understand that such "deaths" and "refugee displacement" will of course happen. You won't hear a word out of me condemning it, the Governess of Eden Valley asked for Turian support and Turian support is what she will get whether she likes it or not, the Peacekeepers will not intervene with Turian operations. I just ask that if the Peacekeepers have an area under control or claims protection of that area that your General works with them if he wants something from that area. Just a matter of principle really. As always it has been a pleasure to speak with you.

Warmest regards,
Matriarch Seri.

"It has been a while Matriarch." Adina says. "We're glad to be home."

"Indeed, indeed." Seri says and she notices Jule's injury. "What happened?"

"This should explain Matriarch." Jule says handing her a message.

She nods. "I will read over everything later but tell me everything personally you two." She says to her commandos that are almost like daughters to her. "Ah but first lets do that over drinks. "

"Matriarch you drink way too much at times at this rate you will kill your liver." Jule says chiding her slightly.

"My day has been nothing but answering mail so I could use the drink. Besides don't speak to me about liver failure until you go drinking with Krogan. They're great drinking partners but if you get into a drinking contest with them you better be ready for a massive hangover." The commandos can't help but think that she is speaking from experience.

Illusive Man-Cronos Station

The feint glow of my electronic eyes was sure to be the first thing Miranda noticed as she entered my quarters. The metallic doors sliding closed behind her. She was one of the few people to see me personally to deliver reports, a courtesy I do not extend to many. As I flicked some ashes from my cigar into a tray I crossed my fingers as I peered over at her.

"Well now, I am sure we have much to talk about." She as rigid as ever responded quickly.

"Of course, I have news on both the progress of the Lazarus Project and our scouting mission in the Terminus." Bringing the cigar to my lips I took a deep inhale and then blew the stream of smoke out as I gave her permission to continue.

"Well we better not waste time then."

"Indeed. The Lazarus Project is scheduled to be completed in roughly 10 months. We have moved past the setbacks and are now back on schedule." I adjusted just slightly in my seat, as I leaned back in my chair.

"That is good news indeed. What about our ship in the Terminus?" Miranda moved on in her normal professional manner.

"The Odyssey just checked in half an hour ago. Their stealth systems, modeled after the schematics from the Normandy SR-1 are working perfectly. They are currently observing the Turian Second fleet in what appears to be secret training missions for a Aircraft Carrier they have constructed. Strange, the Turians would risk conducting such training in the Terminus Systems, when the risks are igniting a war. Citadel forces are not welcome in their space. Of course, it is not yet known if the colony they are training over is aligned with the Hierarchy or independent."

She was right. I thought about it a moment before responding.

"Indeed Miranda. However the Turians developing warships, based on human principles is likely not something they want to show off to the Citadel Council right away. Have them continue their operation and report back on what they find. These developments could harm humanity down the road if something is not done." And with that, she gave a brief nod and closed.

"Of course." And with that, she turned and left. I turned my own chair back around, as I observed the scene of stars outside of the viewport. This galaxy is a dangerous place.

And it is up to Cerberus, to protect humanity.

Hanna Fletcher/Cerberus XO-CS Odyssey(Frigate)-Terminus Systems

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery they say. Who would have thought that the Turians would be testing Carrier combat, all the way out here? In the Terminus of all places. Turians adopting tactics from humanity, and then practicing the tactics far out of the Galactic eye in the Terminus Systems, as if afraid to admit they are not so superior. It's more of a slap in the face than flattery. I am the XO of what is, for now, the most advanced ship in the Cerberus fleet. That is until the Normandy SR-2 is completed. I brushed a strand of my white hair behind my ears, as I delivered my report to the captain of the ship. Unlike me, the Captain is from China on Earth. While I was born and raised on the colony world of Terra Nova, a world, which was saved by Shepard about two years ago from Batarian Terrorists. More evidence of the threat aliens pose to humanity.

The First Contact War, Terra Nova and now even these strange colony abductions focusing on human worlds in the traverse. All reasons why I joined up with Cerberus when I was contacted by them.

"Turian activity has changed since we have begun our observation, Captain." The man, in his early forties sounded very interested.

"Changed how?" I then began to fill him in on the updates that the men and women working the scanners picked up.

"All information suggests that the Turians have ceased all training much earlier than expected. Several signatures have fell off the radar and it seems the Turians are now engaging in a search and rescue operation. The missing signatures are small, fighters most likely. It seems as if they were lost after entering the atmosphere of the planet beneath them." A period of silence followed as the Captain considered the information.

"How much longer before we need to vent the stealth systems?" I gave a clean and crisp answer.

"Precisely three hours and seventeen minutes." He then issued new orders.

"I am updating our mission. We will begin investigating the disappearance ourselves. Plot a course of approach to the planet so that we may find out what is going on over there. As long as we have our stealth engaged, we will be in and out before the Turians ever realize we are there. Besides, they wont be looking for us when they are too busy searching for a few lost aliens."

The order seemed sound, but for some reason, I felt nervous about it.

"Of course Captain. I will send the order out." As I left his bridge I began to contemplate the new orders as our vessel began moving closer to a full Turian War fleet, and a world which for some reason unsettled me.

Eden Valley Governmental Towers

Governess Al'niah

The Matriarch was sitting at her desk and was rubbing her aching head as she listened to the sounds of war with the peace keepers slowly faded away as the Elcor Vanguard slowly retreated from their attack on the capital. She read over the reports as the insurgents fell back after the Colonial Defense Fleet, now loyal to her have done a series of air strikes to help relief the peacekeeping forces. As has assigned her only Mech battalion to the Asari General, knowing they'll help with lower operations that she couldn't care to know about. The Unitary Government only contribution so far as been the CDF. She raised her head as the messages from the Union and the Alliance saying they are sending spec op officers to help train the 1 United Army and the Eden Valley Commando Corps. This was quickly escalating with every major race of the Council wanting a piece of the action no matter how small, some clearly more than others.

Huffing in her own disapproving decisions she sent messages to the following people as darkness crept over the city and the flames of the aftermath of the skirmishes laid in the outskirts.

Thank you for support in the situation at hand,I can promise your men roles of training the  United Army along with the Salarians,Turians,as well as the Republics. They'll be sent back to the Alliance after the training is complete.

As she read though the Dalatrasses messages she heard that STG was already here at the towers and quickly ordered the secretary to let the Salarains in. She also sent small requests the Asari and Turian generals to meet her in the towers as well.

Eden Valley,Elcor Territory,The Forward Army

Forward Army

4 Infantry Divisions
2 Sapper Detachments

The Elcor forces have retreated as night fell on their attack on the Capital, after the CDF attacked their positions along with Hastiam on the ground forced the Vanguard to fall back for now. The Elcor have started to build entrenchments of earth and stone as the siege for the planets capital fell on its first night. The sentries watched over the sappers, their VI chain guns scanning the area for any life signs that would be considered hostile.

"With much annoyance:Get out"the big battled scared Elcor told a medical personal who quitely complied. The bloodied and wounded creature slowly edged himself down to rest his bruised mangled body as a blast from an artillery shell had wounded him durning the fighting, temporally putting him out of commission so now the court General was forced to lead from his encampment.

Eden Valley,Elder Heights,Battle of the Militias

5 Asari and 5 Elcor Militias

Far away from the siege of the capital, the two forces have erupted against each other in a well known place called the Elder Heights. Here colonial militias have erupted into a mixture of Urban and Frontier fighting as citizens have decided to take it upon themselves to resolve the 3 year long land dispute over the fertile region. This area holds a great staging point for the United Army if they want to pierce deep into the heart of both provinces. To unify the colony, the Elder Heights will need to be taken and the militias dealt with before either one of the insurgents can gain a foothold here and fortify the positions.

General of the Hastatim
Larenus Corinthus
Eden Valley, Orbit

Watching the night sky light up like a night after the galactic clawball festival the general made a decision. It may cost the hierarchy but it would be worth it in the end. The weight of credits over the lives of the civilians and his troops were worth the cost. Targeting the large and very visible front lines the general requested permission of a light orbital bombardment. Palaven high command approved this and the general passed the orders to the fleet commander. A short time latter the general stood on the observation deck waiting for the show to begin. The five frigates and the destroyer he was standing on began to fire mass accelerator munitions into the world below them. The deck beneath the general feet vibrated as independent units of hell began to rain down onto the elcor artillery positions with the force of nuclear warheads. The area of the elcor army was struck time and time again. Five minutes of straight bombardment, then ten, then fifteen, then twenty. In the end 40 minutes of orbital bombardment strafed the surface of the world utterly annihilating the elcor positions. At the second the bombing halted, nearly the entire force of the 2nd Marine division began its ground assault. At that time all five of the destroyers accompanying frigates broke formation and formed into a wolf pack to support with close air support on all ground operations.

On the ground the elcor had been shown no mercy. The marines overran weak front line and its inplaced positions in full assault formations. close air was in the form of unnamed drones and a wolf pack of frigate. The elcor resistance was to be showed the meaning of hell. Squads moved through rubble of the surrounding towns and buddy bounded entire platoons up towards and into the elcor trenches. Many of the elcor had been turned to mist, other resembled skin sacks filled with jelly. The concussive power of the mass accelerator rounds was enough to kill most. the blast killed the rest. Few survivors remained, there please for help were met one by one with a combat shotgun to the face splitting their skulls and exposing the organs beyond. The marines trekked through the slush of dead and vaporized elcor. Kill squads were sent into the bunkers and tunnels that had been dug in only to find thick red sulrrys of mass where garrisons of troops once took shelter. Allwyas emerging from the tunnels triumphant the marines ice white armor was now stained red with elcor blood. The process would be repeated On a hand full more positions..

The general smiled as reports and video footage of the brutality and carnage left the planet. Turning around and facing the rest of the crew, most of whom were giggling and making talk about what had just transpired. How quaint, that they actually though there opposition was in any way formidable. Eden Valley would soon be back in the hands of the government and its people would be safe. A young turian lieutenant approached the general offering a data-pad before him. "Sir, the Governess of Eden Valley had sent this nearly an hour ago, but you looked busy, sir." The general nodded and took the data-pad. It was a message requesting his presence planet side. He then thought to himself, 'No doubt whatever she had wished to talk about was now about to change, she surly felt the planet shake with that amount of fire power.' The general smiled and gave the lieutenant back his data-pad and exclaimed "Thank you lieutenant, as you were." The two part ways and the general made his way to the coms room aboard the ship and stepped in front of the holographic projector, then looking down and tightening his crisp sharp white suit. Turning his head to the left he spoke to the coms officer near is station, "Ensign, connect me to the governess and her meeting in the tower on Eden Valley." He responded with a "Yes, Sir." And then the holographic scanner came to life and began to transmit to the world below. "Good Evening ma'am." he said in a purposefully polite tone that was almost painfully forced.

Tuchanka: Dak'ir's Quarters

Dak'ir sat in his quarters after a long days work of running around looking after the day to day running's of Clan Urdnot and talking with representatives of the other Clans. The discussions today had revolved around developing trade and expanding more into the cluster, as well as look into building a major spaceport. He, of course, mentioned the message he had sent to the Governess of Eden Valley about setting up a trade agreement, which had gotten nods of approval from the more fiscal oriented clans.

But this was his semi down time right now and his favorite show, Larry the Varren, would be coming on any second now. So as he knocked back a bottle of ryncal and threw a piece of Pyjak meet to his war Varren, his omni-tool registered an incoming message. Dammit!... just as it's starting to.. Ughhh might be important.

So as Dak'ir grumbled a few curses, he opened up his omni-tool's message inbox to see what the message was all about; and was pleasantly surprised to see it was from Governess Matriarch Al'niah. It seemed as though they had accepted the deal and were planning on shipping food stuffs and luxury goods, Don't know about the luxury goods, but we can always use more food around here, he thought to himself.

Dak'ir began to type a message back in response.

Code: Select all
To: Matriarch Al'niah, Governess of Eden Valley
From: Urdnot Dak'ir, leader of Clan Urdnot

Matriarch Al'niah, my allies and I thank you for accepting such a deal, and will much appreciate the goods you're sending.

In return, our own industrial complexes and factories can churn out whatever you wish, be it combat armor, munitions, or farming equipment.
The perpetual lurker of NS, trudging through the desolate winter.

The Geth Concensus

This Month the Geth progressed as normal all production was at maximum efficiency the Firewalls were strong as the Armies and Navy of the Geth Consensus.
Several new fortifications were being built in the Far Rim with underground bunkers capable of surviving any orbital bombardments, the several bunker complexes were also capable of independent operations for extended periods of time. One bunker complex could support the others with massive self-propelled guns with gun nests that were large automated turrets.
Capable of self-consciousness its intelligence was on par with any geth unit.
In several locations where an army was probable to land there were disabled geth units in hiding capable of activation and attacking the enemy in the rear disrupting supplies and communication.

in other parts of the galaxy for the first time in the history of the pylos nebula there were actually Geth units patrolling the Cluster they were on the lookout for any "Criminal" Activity as the organics it when their kind so often had different opinions about how to continue their existence. Geth ships kept to themselves and let all organics who had business in the cluster pass un molested but there was still a heavy blockade on the worlds the geth now were developing.

Omega

People were afraid of the Gambler and his enforcers. News had spread about what had happened and the trophy that was the Asari Commando's arm. Despite everything that has happened. The Gambler was still able to be secured and had shown that even the most legendary fall short when they walk here on Omega. It was a very good job for the reign on Omega and they had been starting to rule with a holographic fist.

" Now, after that damn fiasco, we still haven't done the budget." He said as the hologram was drinking when his sons and daughter had came to Afterlife. Longshot spoke," the cartel members had been asking if we would help them invest in Helium-3 fueling here in the system. Also we have found a large gang trying to start mining operations in our sphere and those metals will be needed for our Platinum Army." After sitting down on the couch he had a smile on his face.

" Tell the cartels that we will be happy to invest in the project in exchange for tribute. I also think we should improve on their idea since I have the spare creds and start advertising for mechanics, hookers, thugs, everything to make a criminal empire, a criminal empire. Also, about the gang. We should tell them about an " offer that they can't refuse" for the sake of getting those rights for the mining stocks for the Platinum Army."

He takes another drink and then looking at Dryak," Dryak, tell the mercs that I have upped my tribute. I want credits and mercs from then, same thing goes. Give me tribute or die." She was about to walk off but then he spoke," when your done, take a small vacation and have some fun. Same goes for the Boys. I have things to do, like siffing through this STG information I snag from them. Can prove useful for my ambitions."

465 credits left
200 on orbital mining station on Immorak
200 on aerostrat on Immorak
50 credits on 5 mining stations on Bindur
15 credits on fuel station on Bindur
630 credits per/month

Eden Valley,Unitary Towers

Governess Al'niah

"Stowe the polite act General,I can just feel the agony it's putting you though"she said and stood up,putting her hands behind her back and turned around to the see the thousands of troops standing in formation."With the enemy pushed back,it's time your men start taking a more time into your other duty in which I called you here. The 1st United Army has just finished basic training and now we must press them into Marine training. While the Salarians here take on the task of training 1350 Asari commandos. Also in spit of your recent bombing,I would hope you can at least tell me before you start raining down massive fire power near the capital. A damage report is also needed General"she said and turned around to look at them.

Alliance Prime Minister's Office

Amul read over the Asari's response and nodded her head. Both Hackett and Yung knew what this meant and disconnected, preparing to send more information to their soldiers. Shastri after they disconnected, bean to write her response to the Asari.

Code: Select all
To: Asari High Command
From: Systems Alliance
We thank you for permission for Alliance vessels permission to travel through Asari Space for the duration of the civil war. The SSV Saratoga has a spec ops team on board tasked with helping the colony.

Code: Select all
To: SSV Saratoga
From: Admiral Hackett
Permission has been granted to travel through Asari space. Good luck out there captain.

Arcturus Prime Relay

The SSV Saratoga has been waiting for the word to travel through the Mass Relay in order to get to Eden Valley in order to help train the army there. When the captain got news that they were granted permission, he quickly ordered for the ship to travel through the Mass Relay. It would take a few hours to get there, due to having to use multiple relays, but they were willing to do it.

Hours Later
Eden Valley Colony

After hours of jumping from relay to relay, the SSV Saratoga arrived to the colony, just to see a Turian Fleet in orbit of the colony. Ignoring the fleet, the ship decended down to the planet and landed in a spaceport before allowing the spec ops team to unload.

Commander Williams was in command of the squad and held the message with her, to give to the governess.

"Alright listen. Hopkins and I will go to the governess to get information on the situation and what we will be doing, the rest of you stay back here on the ship until we get back. Remember we follow her commands, not the Alliance for now"

The rest of the soldiers nodded and continued to get their gear as Williams and Hopkins left to meet the governess.
Uh, they're called green hearts.

You racist.

Eden Valley Spaceport,
Sur'kesh

"Alright men!" Shouted Wiks as he returned from the Governness' office. "We're here on a training mission. There's 110 of us, and over 1300 Asari SpecOps we need to train Each one of us will take a team of 10 Asari, and we'll cycle the teams out. The remaining commandos will be doing firing practice and physical training while we take the other teams out. Do not engage unless you're fired upon, and reject all training missions with live fire components. Also note, do not make contact with the Asari Peacekeepers, and stay out of the way of the Turians. If you run into any civilians, direct them to the Safe Camps. Your troop assignmentd have been sent to your Omnis, go to the barracks, meet your commandos, and begin training immediately. Move out."

Omega

The information from the Omni-tools had given some things that allowed the Gambler to smile in glee. There were lots of contacts and information that the STG had on them as loot from the brief Shadow War. The information had roads that some maybe suspected to be Shadow Broker informants but all roads seem to go to the Citadel. To have spy games in the Citadel sounded like a 007 movie with criminals vs Salarian spies.

However, many things about building a fleet and even doing new research for his AI systems and perhaps even weapons that can help. All in all, a brain can't really enjoy life on Omega without having an organic body to enjoy it with. He always wanted to try and go down stairs to drink and mingle with other people and see the Asari strippers dance. However, his hologram and his information network was the only and the most effective means to ruling Omega as no one knows what he is truly and even the STG know that his skills are quite effective in ruling the Dark Citadel.
