New U.S. Healthcare Reform, No New Business for Insurance Co

Postby You-Gi-Owe » Thu Jul 16, 2009 12:50 pm

Here's the latest on the U.S. Democratic Party's efforts to take away liberties and choices from it's citizens and get rid of the health insurance companies.

Investor's business Daily put out an editorial on 15 July 09.
http://www.ibdeditorials.com/IBDArticles.aspx?id=332548165656854
According to page 16 of the House Healt Care Reform Bill, after the date that this travesty is signed into law, the Insurance companies will no longer be allowed to sign up new health care insurance policies. This applies to people who have never had private insurance and people who want to change insurance carriers.

Can you say, "another step toward communism", Mr. and Mrs. America?

"The article you requested is not available."

More GOP scare tactics. "National healthcare will kill America!" Nevermind that it hasn't killed insurance in any other country than Canada, and Canada took it to the extreme of outlawing private insurance which no Democrat is proposing.

Thank you for regurgitating Rush Limbaugh for us again, but we're still not buying it.

Whilst I support partially socialised medicine, I still believe in the right for health insurance companies to operate and do business, like they do over here.

It's certainly a socialist idea, and was enacted by a socialist government.

Not so much scared as they view it as an unfair ideology that is doomed to fail.

So, why does the U.S. Democratic party want health insurance agents to become unemployed?
that's not going to help the economy. That's more unemployment.

Yes, they say "Right there on Page 16 is a provision making individual private medical insurance illegal." Then they don't actually link to the article. They quote it, but let's just say that IBD Editorials isn't exactly known for being objective in their propaganda.

Try again, Rush.

There are plenty of jobs for unskilled telephone operators, crooked management, and thieving middlemen.

Tell that to my dead grandfather. If he had gone to the private sector, he would still be alive.

I'm so sick of these incompetent democrats, and the liberal laws they propose. People should get health care from the government only if they need it.

That exactly what a NHS does. When you need health care you can get it.

No, it increases the size of a government, controls the populous even more and when someone is costing the government too much money, they can simply go 'oops, screw you, we're not giving you proper treatment anymore sucker'.

I'm pretty sure if you're going to be "controlled" by a NHS, you have to sign up for it first.

And your second statement is just beyond ridiculous, mostly because that's what private insurance companies do already.
