ANGEL HOUSE,
The Rt. Hon. Luka Boselli,
Secretary of State for International Development
Department for International Development
Thursday, 09th, July 2015
To all nations of the world,
The Department for International Development was established in April 2015, by Chancellor Mark Foster in order to lead Edom's work to end extreme poverty and provide essential aid to foreign countries around the world who are struggling to maintain peace or support their citizens.
The Department for International Development works to end the extreme poverty through providing aid to create new jobs, unlocking the potential of girls, boys, men and women and helping to save lives when humanitarian emergencies hit. The department is responsible for honouring Edom's international commitments and taking action to achieve the Millennium Development Goals. It makes Edom's aid more effective by improving transparency, openness and value for money, whilst targeting Edom's international development policy on economic growth and wealth creation.
We aim to improve the coherence and performance of our international development policy in fragile and conflict-affected countries; through improving the lives of girls and women by providing better education and a greater choice on family planning. This is achieved by preventing violence against girls and women in the developing world and helping to prevent climate change and encouraging adaptation and low-carbon growth in developing countries.
Nations who wish to apply for international aid are more welcome to fill out the application form found on this website. We strongly recommend however that you read through all of our advisories below before you fill out the application.
Thank you for time, patience and continued support,
The Rt. Hon. Luke Boselli,
Secretary of State for International Development
