OPTIONAL
Nation Name: Ubaria
Birthplace: Alstad, Sansar
Ethnicity: Causasian - Bulgarian
Pic/Description:(Image)
This picture however is too 'clean', his face is much darker due to the mud, ash and dust that he has trawled through, his skin is much rougher and has multiple reminders of past conflicts, one such scar runs a smooth cresent over his right eye down to the upper cheekbone. He also has a red and black tattoo of a three headed dragon on the right side of his neck, the tail of which forms an ornate pattern down his right arm.
Age: 29
Rank: Corporal
Previous Assignments:
UNSC Argolis - 114th Marine Division - Battle of Sansar, Alluvion & Actium
UNSC Pit Viper - 12th ODST Shock Battalion - Battle of Sargasso & Skopje
UNSC Unyielding - 19th Special Operations ODST Batallion - Second Battle of Arcadia
Combat Role: Heavy Weapons/Support
Proficiency: Rocket Launchers, Spartans Lasers, anything that makes a boom.Personality: 'Mentally Unstable' is something that springs to mind when describing Dragan, constant fighting and loss has taken a mental toll, yet he remains firm where others would so easily be broken. He has been cleared fit for service by various Psychological Experts of the UNSC despite his 'outbursts' that happen few and far between. Despite his affinity for fighting, he does what he does with distinction and honour, and will fight alongside his brothers and sisters in arms in any fight, and if necessary, is willing to lay down his life.
BIO
Likes: Fighting, Explosions, Reading, Swimming,
Dislikes: Covenant, Being in one place, Canteen Food
Skills: Dragan is a skilled heavy weapons specialist, and is efficiant with a multitude of weaponry such as Rocket Launchers, Spartan Lasers and Grenade launchers. He has records in his old units for kills against covvie armor. Aside from this he is a skilled martial artist and is a medic when the need arises.
Fears: Loss, Losing the war, Yanme'e> Alstad, a town on the planet Sansar was a small colony world with only a few hundred thousand compared to the millions that resided on more built-up colonies. Dragan was born to a poor family with his father constantly jumping in and out of work and his mother was an alcoholic. Alstad offered little in the area of employment and many worked as farmers in the vast agricultural lands surrounding the main town, supplementing richer colonies with their crops, and due to the large ungoverned swaths of terrain, the Insurrection used the crops themselves to supply their armies, extorting and even stealing supplies from the locals in trade for protection, though it was the Insurrectionists they needed protection against.
RP EXAMPLES
Dragan was born in 2520, 5 years before the outbreak of the Human-Covenant war. At aged 5, the Human Covenant war broke out with the destruction of Harvest, word took time that Harvest had fallen to a vast 'alien threat' and even then people thought of it as UNSC Propaganda and fear-mongering to stir up the people to enlist and fight against the innies, however when the news started pouring in, footage of planets burning and ships aflame, only then did people take any notice. The UNSC established a more hefty presence on Sansar whilst Dragan was young at the time, he didn't really envision the impact that the war was already having, and every time he mentioned it to his mother she would hit him and told him to 'stop believing the lies' that the UNSC told and that it was a step towards total colonial assimilation to a centralized system. Anton continued working in the fields whilst the UNSC and Insurrecitonists battled across the colony, however it wasn't each other they should have been fighting.
At aged 18, in 2538. Dragan enlisted with the Colonial Militia, sick of the mundane work that a farm bought, coupled with the fact that Innies had been increasingly desperate, raiding farms up and down the colony, he wanted to do something about it. When he completed his training almost aged 20, the Human Covenant war was starting to creep further and further into human space and it was only a matter of time before it hit home.
2542. Sansar was glassed.
The covenant fleet overwhelmed the small UNSC defense force and swamped the planet, only a few thousand refugees fled aboard civilian transports and managed to slip the covenant siege lines. Dragan was one of the defenders, making sure civillians escaped in time. Thousands and thousands were packed into transport ships meant for crops and livestock, civilian liners and military vessels. His mother managed to escape but his father was not so fortunate, and was left on the planet as it burned to the ground. Dragan managed to escape at the last minute aboard the UNSC Argolis, and was quickly enlisted with the UNSC Marines with the 114th Marine Division. At first only as a foot soldier, but with years of farm work, Dragan had built a large frame and so became the pack mule of the squad, often carrying heavy weapons around, and was trained with this proficiency in mind.
The first battle, his trial by fire was the mining colony of Alluvion, a densely packed world fabled for its large mineral deposits and rigorous industry. It supplied many raw materials needed for the war effort and so it found itself under covenant siege, either by chance, or purely targeted for its purpose. Fighting was sporadic on the ground for the first couple of weeks, the front lines changed every hour as the UNSC pushed and lost ground in various places. Dragan was part of a detachment sent in with ODST to secure valuable mining equipment that could be salvaged, however their unit came under heavy fire and was forced to take shelter in a large diamond mine undergound. Deep inside the shafts they found a huge Yanme'e colony, and they had just disturbed it, thousands of the things plucked some soldiers from the air, others, they were eaten alive by the winged beasts. Dragan developed his fear for the insectoid like creatures from this experience, and is still afraid of them, more so than 1000 elites. Anyhow, Alluvion was to be glassed, Dragan and others were evacuated as soon as the first plasma beams scorched the surface.
The next battle was Arcadia, UNSC forces had to hold the planet for as long as it took, so the civilian population could be evacuated. In a foxhole, with a whole cache of weapons, Dragan and his squad managed to hold off a whole Covenant armored division for 48 hours straight as they attempted to break the UNSC lines, whilst they would fall, they didn't take the city without hefty casualties. Dragan and his squadron received honours for their actions, and some were even selected for ODST conscription, which Dragan snatched up almost instantly.
With the 12th Shock Division, he performed multiple drops, mainly Sargasso and Skopje, both of which were absolute bloodbaths. Sargasso, if it wasn't the unbearable heat and humidity, it was covenant plasma and brute spikers. Dragan found himself separated from his squad after a drop gone wrong and managed to forge a path behind enemy lines and contact friendly units, a pocket of trapped Marines inside the city. After linking up, they pushed through with salvaged civilian vehicles to a UNSC forward operating base where they were evacuated when the colony was deemed lost.
Skopje was a similar story, fighting was contained to the major population centers and the efforts were concentrated on containing the covenant in one place, rather than outright defeating them, they couldn't, not yet anyhow.
After this, Dragans actions found him a place within a Special Operations unit within the ODST, the 19th Special Operations Unit or nicknamed 'Craghoppers'. Their main play was to destroy covenant factories, places where they produced Scarabs, Wraiths and such, and were successful at their job. Then came the fall of Arcadia, the covenant had been repelled once, probably the first time they had been in a long time, this gave the defenders some glimmer of hope, however it was not to be. Planet glassed, another one to tick off. They were creeping inwards towards Reach...and Earth.
For his skill in combat and deep knowledge of covenant installations, Dragan was drafted into the Black Initiative. Something ONI had cooked up, and now Dragan was a deadman. Everyone who worked for ONI was...on paper at least.> The previous Halo: Eclipse, however short it was.

all of which you know me from
I borrowed some elements from the other Halo: Eclipse app, like part of the backstory and the picture...
