Biography of Outfit:
The Shadows were born out of the SOCCs, created as an experiment by SOCC command, a unit that was to be top secret and specialise in urban and forest warfare. It first served in Yjaqyr in the 1980s, being utilised as an avant garde; ahead of the advance of the Krïdan army. At this time it was company strength, but this was soon changed by force in 1993 when they were deployed in Catábo to kidnap its dictator. The operation was an initial success but as they were waiting to be air-evacuated a few miles from the capital, they were ambushed by an armoured battalion, tipped off by a local coffee farmer. Most of the company died, not before destroying much of the enemy forces. A platoon survived and was evacuated at a later date. SOCC Command wanted to disband the Shadows, calling it a failed experiment. But the then Chancellor wanted to keep them for small role uses of low profile. The Shadows were cut down to squad size and operate as they do today.


Operators of the Outfit:
Excubarium: A weaselly man, cruel and cunning. He shows little remorse for anything that moves or ceases to. He leads the shadows and believes that he is the only man who can.

Simulacraque: this valuable squad member specialises in reconnaissance and intel gathering. Little is known about his personality other than that he is shy, thoughtful and diligent.

Phantasma: with eyes like an eagle, no moving or stationary object is safe on e in his sights. With a reputation for causing single handed carnage and confusion, he is a deadly addition to the shadows.

Exspiravit: perhaps the squad's tactician, he is blessed with a calculating and cool mind. His DMR in his hands is a tool of death itself and has a knack for squad manoeuvres.

Umbro: this man likes nothing better than reducing walls, people and vehicles to particles with his machine gun. He has a bizarre list for bloodshed and carnage, bug knows when to cap it.

Didactylus: he likes anything that goes bang. Almost a pyromaniac, he loves causing explosions. He forms much of the squad's explosive brawn and firepower. Not renowned for intelligence, he makes it up in initiative and expertise in the art of making things crumble like Stilton cheese.

Larvali: sharing the above's love of explosions, he is slightly more controlled, concentrating more on tactical firepower as opposed to all out wasting of enemy positions.

Fiens: daredevil by name, daredevil by nature, few to none perturb him. Known to charge head on at enemy positions, his bravery and balls are scenic to none. He functions as the squads stalemate breaker in tense firefights.

Apparitio: specialises in house-storming. He thinks quickly, though often rashly. Apparitio likes a clean and complete job, he leaves nothing alive and nothing incomplete. A trusty squad member and ever loyal.

Repertum: a towering man, broad and muscular. He too specialises in house storming, though rather than ploughing hundreds of mini bullets into someone, Repertum need only fire a shot from his gun and the inhabitants of the room would be left rather worse for wear afterwords, if they are lucky...

So I looked over your app and it generally looks good. A few things of note though, is that your writing is good but it is also kinda clunky, if that makes sense. It doesn't flow all that well, at least in your example.

The weapons may need a bit of tweaking, seeing as shotguns aren't really used as a primary in active combat. They are brought, but not used like one would use a M4. It's reserved for only really opening doors, and sometimes used to clear rooms.

We are not getting flanked. In my post I mentioned that there are towers. The towers wouldn't just be at the front gate and the towers would be manned. Just because we are POSTING about the front gate does not mean that EVERYONE is at the gate.

I also posted that the radio was alive with chatter. No. Every single radio transmission doesn't have to be written for the RP. Obviously stuff is going down and there is a plan in place.

If one doesn't like an RP, one can post the way they would like it to follow.

More importantly, people keep getting confused. No tanks or enemy soldiers running around the corner would happen within the Atlas compound. Not yet at least. If so, someone should probably post how the enemies breach since it would be a major tactical thing, not something common. But for now, we need to double check ourselves. So I will say it once more:

The enemies have breached the Base. We are on a walled, towered, barb-wired compound that is within the base. The enemy is outside of our compound.

Yeah, it wasn't perhaps my best piece of Roleplay, but it's one of the more diverse war RPs. If you want better flowing I can show you my character RP content, but that lacks military background.

Shotguns are not usedenough as you think they are, or even enough for them to be used as a primary. They are used these days purely for opening doors or for fun. Room clearing is much more precise and safe with regular firearms like an M4. In reality though, when there's a requirement to clear a room without there being civilians, they just use nades.

Its a waste of time, effort, training and carry weight for a shotgun to be used as a primary. Most squads will have one as an under barrel or on thier back.
