I would say it tells much, does it quickly, and is short enough to have time to read safely without having to pick through miles of fluff.

This is basically my opinion on it. While i appreciate walls of text explaining events in detail, and on a lot of occasions i read the entire things, i also love shorter articles that tell the story. And as someone before said, it's a nice in-between zone among the tl;dr news and media outlets like TRT.

Yeah!

It definitely has it's place, even though I'll continue to read both TL;DR news and parts of TRT.
So, now I'll check TL;DR for basic ideas of what's going on, check here to see a little more detail, and then check TRT if I need more than that.

This isn't a case of a user not being up to people's standards. This is a case of a user having a huge reputation as a forum spammer.

There are much less deserving victims of the Gameplay circlejerk that you should save your advocacy for.
No misjudgement, I'm well aware of that reputation. Gradea is a user that has improved significantly over the last few weeks, and should be given incentive to continue to improve.

Alright, guys, more chatting about news, it's a nice effort from a newer player. If you want to criticise, perhaps try giving constructive criticism?

Debatable, its a bit like asking a cricketer to join a baseball team - they are both played with bat and ball, but there is no way they could be considered the same game

True, Carlito. My experiences with GCRs (read: off-sites) are limited to Osiris (then coup'd by moderate raiders), Lazarus (some fenda hobbyists), TRR (last refugio, final solution of the Senpai). Citizenship were impossible in Laz and TRR, and Osi's Sekhmet was most inactive, vain and ineffective R/D army ever. GCR news threads are very boring for reading (can be skipped without losing anything important), and general impression of these insignificant hard coded regional dumps is that they are for 'game-killing junkyards for petty bureaucratical sandboxers' and piling lemmings, stalking trespassers, and each others on their yards...

Dull, purposeless, hardly a game. Thank you, but no thanks. Not for me.

Don't think I didn't catch that subtle diss. I'm about as moderate as the temperature in Antarctica, baby.

In any case, anything's better than Unibot in office.

Not exactly. Contrary to the chronological order presented in the article, I challenged for Delegate a number of hours before Unibot withdrew. In fact, Unibot still appeared on the initial ballot form. This is something that Gradea should know, seeing that he cast a vote using that form. But unlike most people commenting on news articles in this forum, I'm willing to excuse harmless mistakes. :P

I tend to agree with you guy, but I can't really call his mistakes harmless, there was one big lie plopped right in the middle. Cormac NEVER resigned his citizenship, and despite Cormac clearly voted in the election proving his maintained citizenship. The only thing Cormac resigned was his Ministry in TNP and that was for a completely unrelated reason.

But in general, its a little sketchy for anyone to post "news" about an event they have the possibility of benefiting personally for reporting. In this case a candidate directly and aggressively pushing articles they write about elections they are participating in. I would also like to point out that Gradea used a similar thread in TNP's Forum to report FAKE polling data.

Yeah, the Cormac resigning citizenship statement was not exactly harmless. It was plainly wrong (and readily ascertainable as you said) and can mislead readers.

Two. A fish in the sea gave me first preference. And I have more of a chance of winning then Unibot and Cormac.

Well, seeing as Cormac and Unibot aren't actually in the race now, that isn't saying much. :p

And just how did you plan on becoming delegate anyway? You nation is now in TNP, and you are barred from the WA for stupidly plagiarizing a resolution.

Say what will you about Gradea, but at least his challenge got Unibot out as Delegate.

I mean, replaced with Guy, a UDL stooge of Unibot's personal choosing, but, that's something. Right?

Yeah, I don't know. TRR's system of voting confuses me. Unibot sneaked the same system into TSP and it was just horrible.

Cormac's campaign caused a far greater uproar than Gradea's. If anything no campaign got Uni out of the race. It was....other stuff. :P
