Thank you for your participation!

Rules
- This roleplay, like everything here on the NS forums, is PG-13 in nature. While sexual interactions between other characters and other similarly R-rated content is not explicitly forbidden, I do ask that you conduct such interactions over telegrams and not in the main roleplay thread. Should you wish, a brief (and necessarily vague) summary may be posted after the conclusion of the private exchange.
- Students participating in the exchange have to be reasonably realistic, especially considering the fact that they are high school students. Past characters have included individuals with mob connections, and one has attempted to call in an airstrike (if I remember correctly). This is not really acceptable, and prohibits extensive interaction as the social divides between characters are just too wide at that point. In fact, it is more than likely that characters participating in a real-life exchange would be termed average - just your regular high school Joe and Jane. As such, I ask that your characters be realistic in this setting. Something like being related to your nation's royal family is fine, as long as it does not come into play extensively. Even celebrities are OK, so long as you don't bring an army of diehard fans with you. Having your character be a genetically modified superhuman trained from birth for military service, on the other hand, is a bit over the top. Please exercise moderation in your character creation.
- Similar to the above rule, please do not have your character bring extremely fancy tech to the host nation. A fancy gaming laptop is fine, if you like that sort of thing. An encrypted cell phone on which you can call mummy and daddy back at the palace at home is not. (See rule 6)
- The maximum number of students that one nations may control is three. (the minimum is one. ) Please don't go ham on the characters, but focus on detailed and meaningful interactions instead.
- Puppet nations are discouraged. Exceptions to this are highly likely, such as a puppet used by the host nation in order to facilitate interaction, but any requests should be directed to both the host and myself. You shouldn't just show up and start RPing with three accounts. This is so that, in the event that you go inactive on us, the whole RP doesn't die out. Trust me, it's happened before. Again, just as for permission and ensure us that you won't go inactive, and it should be fine.
- Please have respect for the laws and customs of the host nation while RPing. While using unintentional breaches of laws to promote character interaction is totally acceptable, blatantly breaking laws for the sole purpose of having your character break laws is not cool. This is related to rule number 3 as well: If the host nation has banned firearms, don't bring any. This may be fun for you, but past RPs have shown that this is a real pain in the neck for the host nation. Besides, if your character is sitting locked in a jail, they can't really attend class or spend time doing questionable things in the dorms of the opposite sex, can they? (I'm not condoning the aforementioned method of spending time, but it does seem to happen every time...)
Please note that this is not an exhaustive list. Generally, if it is a standard rule in other RPs, it applies here. If you have any questions about the rules, I would prefer that you post them here so other players can weigh in and help. TGs are also an acceptable form of communication.
Thank you, and happy RPing!
NOTE: These rules are currently being revised via member input. If you have any suggested changes, please post and tell me about them!Student Application

How the RP will work
Well, presumably how it worked last time. But maybe we will figure something else out that will make it less death-worthy.
