Shancion Government Condemns Bhumidol

Citizens of the Western Islands,
In name of all the citizens of Shancion, we condemn the theocratic State Of Bhumidol and declares that, until the end of such oppressive and brutal regime, no relations shall be made between the Shancion and the Bhumidol. We also accuse the government of genocide for persecuting the Jain religious minority and for mass murder for killing it’s your citizens. For this Bhumidol has our official disgust.

We would also like to declare our support to the recently created Magaleya as soon as possible, but would like, before anything else, to check the democratic goals of that State. As soon that is confirmed that the democracy glows in the chest of such people we are ready to make the possible, and the impossible, for secure the freedom and security of that Nation.

To finish, we would like to invite any persecuted Jain to integrate Shiacion and become a citizen, as a part of our politic to protect any minority that might be endangered.

Escape from Prison, and Establishment of a Free News Station

To the International Community of the Western Isles, we are Bhumidol Nirvana Times, a newly established new organization of what is now a group of 18 free thinkers, liberals, and secularist writers, seeking for a just and secular democracy to take power in Bhumidol.

Just hours ago, we escaped the Gracious Amithabha Prison Complex on the outskirts of Vijayanagra in the disorder that followed the terorists attack on the city earlier this morning. We are happy that we are all on our way from Bhumidol, to a land where we can find freedom of consciousness, however, we face two major obstacles at the moment to achieve our initial freedom:

1) Unfortunetely, the Ministry of Artificial Selection revoked the names and memories of 17 of us. Only I know my name, family, and history.
2) We have no destination in mind, and are asking for all peaceful, democratic loving nations if they could possibly open their doors to a couple of free thinkers.

If any nations chooses to accept us, we will set up a base for our new station in their nation, where we will broadcast real events happening in Bhumidol, as our covert field agents can determine.

Right now, our most pertinent goal is seeing if the Ministry of Artificial Selection has retained the memories of the 17 of us, and finding all possible options we can for returning the memories of these men and women.

For now, I am just amazed that even with many of our memories, experiences, and beings revoked, we were still able to hear the voice of freedom beckon to our conscious, propelling us to escape the icy chambers to freedom. Perhaps that truly is an indication that freedom, and free will itself is the very essence of our existence. Something that no one can revoke from us.

We will be asking nations for support very shortly. We thank you for the act of reading something of the free conscious; something that until today was unheard of from any Bhumhalese of any affiliation.

The 18 Intellectuals

The atmosphere in the airport it’s confusing. Besides the usual travelers that come and go, the place is full of reporters that mobs around the pilots, crew and important passengers that are going to take the jet to the I.D. to rescue the 18 men that are running away from a prison in Bhumidol.

In a press conference today the prime-minister Yan Majalowitz said that the acts in Bhumidol are disgusting and none ethic nation should approve it. He also declared the nation is officially supporting Vancouvia and New Dragleic, who also showed repudiation by the inhuman situation. He’s also proud of letting Shancion be the haven for the 18 intellectuals that recently ran away from a prison in Vijayanagara. “They advocate for a new State, a secular, democratic and protector of freedom and justice. That’s what we praise, and as political prisoners running from persecution and endangered of death is our duty to save and protect those people” said him during the conference.

People from all over the country are very pleased with their country protecting the intellectuals, but are very afraid that a war may start in the region, and even more afraid it may end up involving Shancion.

With the Grand Duke attending the regional conference it fell on his daughter, Euphima to give the speech to the Sejm about the situation in Bhumidol.

The following quotation is from the Dziedzica's speech.

"Bhumidol has denied many of their citizens to the simplest of the human rights. This injustice cannot be tolerated. I petition the Seem to denounce the nation of Bhumidol. May this be a message to the rest of the oppressive governments in the region, human rights are not optional."

Even though the Sejm responded with applause many, also booed her. The final decision is the Sejm and it is planned to be voted on later this week.

This evening, before giving his vote on Republic of Cristo's amendment on chemical weapons, Dans'auw representant Zhai Jouons announced his resignation to the Supreme Court of the Western Isles. "I will never forget the day I was elected for justice, I never thought I would walk away from this room willingly" Mr. Jouons stated after his resignation speech. Giving up to his emotions he left the room in tears, applauded by his now ex-fellow judges (seemingly intrigued by the reasons of his resingation) as he did. Jouons will return to Dansawae tomorrow in the morning. We hope for Jouons place to be filled by a more capable and modernized judge.

Government Takes Action Against Bhumidol, Megaleya

In response to the crisis currently underway in the nation of Bhumidol, the government has released a series of statements summarizing its position, and the actions that may be taken. The AI Administration of Bhumidol has been condemned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the establishment of an embassy within Linaviar's borders denied. Foreign Minister Ao Pui, commenting on the situation, had the following to say. "The actions undertaken by the state are reprehensible. We find the kill order unacceptable, and the recently revealed practice of directly manipulating the thoughts and memories of its people so deeply violates the basic human rights of Bhumhalese citizens that we cannot, in good consciousness, continue interacting with the state in any positive or mutually beneficial manner."

The Ministry of Defence has also released a statement classifying The Most Serene Republic of Megaleya as a terrorist organization in light of operations which can only equate to genocide. Furthermore, It has announced plans to enter the ongoing war between the coalition, consisting of Erialis and Vancouvia, and Bhumidol, should either of the coalition nations request the Linavian Government for assistance. Until such assistance is requested, the Ministry of Defense has announced that it is working with the Ministry of Commerce to enforce the recent criminalization of trade with Bhumidol. A naval blockade of Bhumidol's ports with the aim of preventing Linavian ships from entering is currently being set up.

Finally, President Desmond Geriad has announced that he will be in full support of signing a bill that recognizes Free Bhumidol. A member of the civil lodge, commenting anonymously, stated that, "...a draft is currently being made by Overseer Gantt Potem, and we expect that we will be voting on it when the legislature convenes tomorrow morning."

Cyclone in the Eastern Sea sacks a Randmar Fleet

In the wake of the cyclone that struck Bhumidol a feet of military ships from Randmar were damaged in the rocks that were suddenly exposed by a drop in sea level. Our government has declined to comment on the specific damages done but some reports coming in from anonymous sources have pegged the damages as minor and that they could easily be repaired at an appropriate shipyard. The Navy has at least comment on what these ships where doing, the ships were part of a routine patrol of the eastern sea to secure Randmar's trade routes.

To repair these Ships the limping fleet made has made its way to a near by port where the local government has granted the Randmar navy temporary abode to repair and recuperate. The Government has thanked the locals for this generous offer and has promised to have the ships out within a month. The Government has also sent in 2000 soldiers to guard their assets in the shipyards as permitted by the locals. So far everyone involved is attempting to make as little fuss over this issue as possible and both governments are conveniently ignoring the damaged hardware and military presence.

The Tuernian Ambassador in Kefira, Ernest Besson, released a statement moments ago outside the embassy in Port Carae. Only a few minutes earlier, news broke across the Western Isles of the suspicious deaths of several members of the royal family at the funeral of Cerikn.

"The Tuernian Republic condemns the savage actions that have resulted in the deaths of six members of the Kefiran royal family, as well as the despicable kidnapping of Her Royal Highness Princess Victoriayi. We offer our sincere condolences Her Majesty Queen Katri, the surviving members of the royal family, and the Kefiran people. Inter-Oceanic Canal Set to Open

The Inter-Oceanic navigation canal that was proposed at the first regional conference is soon set to open. The canal will allow full size container ships to travel from the east to the west sides of the main landmass of the region. The government of this nation, and that of Decromia, had cooperated at the first regional conference to establish a canal. Brant Jamieson, Dibeg's representative at the first conference, decided that the optimal location for the canal was at the narrowest point of land inside the nation of Segentova. Both Dibeg and Decromia's representatives held talks with representatives from Segentova, and a deal was reached to create a canal. The Inter-Oceanic Navigation Canal Corporation was formed, with ownership and control allotted 40-30-30 to Segentova, Dibeg and Decromia. Soon after, engineers drew up a plan for the canal, which was approved by all three nations. A strip of land surrounding the canal was ceded to the company, and construction began. Reports from a source familiar with the project say that the canal is now complete, a fact that is confirmed by aerial photography. The Corporation itself states that the canal is complete, but the locks have not yet been tested, and some buildings have not yet been finished.

The canal will have three locks, and be wide enough at all points for 2 Super-tankers to pass. The canal will have a refueling facility, turning basin and office near the western end, this office will also serve as the head quarters of the company. As the canal is likely to be a strategic location in times of conflict, three security bases have been constructed inside the company land. The Dibeg ministry of defense has built a large base on the north western shores of the isthmus, and plans to station a patrol vessel there permanently. Sources say that the base has capacity to land Dibeg's military cargo planes, as well as dock Dibeg's aircraft carriers. The number of troops able to be accommodated at the base is unknown, but it may be as much as 800. Segentova and Decromia have constructed similr bases at the eastern end of the canal.

The official opening date of the canal is undislcosed, but it may be in the next few days as a marine engineer claimed that testing three locks usually only takes 2 days.

Riots and Revolts

Within the country of Andersite where the Randmar navy is currently stationing a few of its ships, a serious revolt as been sparked across the small country. The motive behind this revolt is unclear and when cannot gain any solid source on the matter but from what information we can glen it is apparently stemming from corruption within the ranks of the government.

The Randmar Military has tightened its defenses around their assets and is apparently set to ride out the difficult times. However a recent report has placed Randmar's Speaker Casey as asking for Western Isles approval of military intervention to establish order in this incident. This unusual move is not being mirrored in the executive branch as President Cole is personally against sending soldiers into foreign situations.

It is most likely a last minute bid to secure votes as the nationalist party has almost gained a majority vote for the first seats in the Senate, which with the Weighted vote system and the capital district could result in a radical change in government policy.

We all await the international responses to this situation, as given Coles non-interventionist/imperialism stances it is unlikely he will do anything without prompting.

Defensive Measures Taken

While the region is currently enthralled in the Bhumidol Conflict, the Vancouvian Defense Committee, made up of eight senators, ordered a small task force to be sent to Illa Isle to secure the small island for the time being. Illa is roughly uninhabited, and lies in a key defensive position off of Vancouvian waters. The task force of VNA and VSF soldiers, under the protection of the destroyer VS Freedom, have planted a Vancouvian flag on the highest point, and have set up small camps in various defensible parts of the island. Rumors of tanks being airlifted onto the island have yet to be confirmed.

When asked what the purpose of the initiative was, Senator Paul Hawkings said, "The VDC seeks only to defend the Vancouvian people. Illa Island is, right now, in a key position for Vancouvian interests. With much of our fleet currently in action against Bhumidol, it is necessary for us to take up defensive positions on Illa."

Tuernia Rescues Jain Refugees

The TRS Renaudin and two commandeered cargo ships have rescued 20,000 Jain refugees from Bhumidol. The daring rescue took place while war raged elsewhere in the country. As it was a humanitarian mission, our soldiers were unarmed, and our warship remained in international waters. It is unclear at this time if Bhumidol refrained from attacking due to international law, but this seems unlikely considering their past record, especially their human rights abuses.

The refugees are from the breakaway state of Megaleya, which continues to fight against the AI government of Bhumidol. The country now faces many questions. What will be done with these people? Considering they are incapable of returning safely to their home country, they are effectively stateless. Will they be allowed to remain in Tuernia? And does our country have the resources to accommodate them?

Potential Annexation

In the map, above Jagellion there is a string of islands. Jagellion is interested in annexing the biggest island and all other islands below it until it reaches Jagellonian mainland. These islands interest Jagellion because they have some oil, and iron and bauxite, which can boost the Jagellonian economy and the Jagellonian car industry. Also, Jagellion's underground cities are overpopulating too and people need to spread out. We plan on making one island a beautiful tourist destination with skiing in the winter and beaches in the summer. Thieves are also strategic islands geographically as they are close to Trapoli, Stoizzle, and an ally of Jagellion, Polar Svalbard. The Royal Mubaru Navy has set course for Illa Island in the early hours of the day, with a goal of scientific and strategic research. The Administration of the Royal Navy has said that a simulated Naval battle and shore breaching exercise will take place today and the following days this week, as pressing matters in Bhumidol continue to worry the King about the defensive readiness of the Kingdom.

Leaving Shaya Port today are the following vessels; RM Yunus (Palquar Class), RM Ishqa (Palquar Class), RM Idris (Zureiq Class), and the RM Jibrail (Zureiq Class). After 27 sober years, the prohibition of alcohol in Palustrine has henceforth been abolished. It started in the late 80s and has now come to an end which is intoxicating for the peoples of Palustrine. For the fist time, in over 2 decades, booze has been brought into Palustrine legally after the government abolished the futile prohibition policies that have increased crime.

"After a unanimous vote, the government had no choice but to not only commence with alcoholic imports, but the re-establishment of breweries in Palustrine. We hope that this will boost the economy and lower the numbers of 'speak easy' related crime"

Conflict in Andersite?

Following the riots last night in Andersite over supposed government corruption and sham elections, the Randmar Military which was temporarily stationed there, took it upon themselves to put down the riots. The situation in Andersite is under control as the Randmar military establishes martial law over the city and surrounding territory. However questions are arising from Randmar's populace and from the international community on whether or not Randmar even had the right to do this.

Reports from within the government place Speaker Mark Casey as the one whom gave the order, notably without executive or legislative permission. Some believe it may have been a last minute bid to secure the Red Party's seat in the upcoming election but it has back fired tremendously loosing thousands of votes to the green and blue party. As for the actual consequences of this political stunt, Randmar has found itself in control of a governmentless territory and even now the Executive branch is decided what should be done with it.

Unfortunately, several members of the legislation branch of decided to move the decision to a Senatorial vote on what to do with it after the 2015 elections in two weeks. Elections which are increasingly looking like a Grey victory, meaning the territory could very likely remain a territory of Randmar for the foreseeable future.

Citizens of Rontbar have been informed today via national broadcasting channels of unclaimed territory located in Northern Western Isles. The island, named Lövsk currently has 300,000 inhabitants, of which 40% are of Rontbari national heritage. The government intends to annexe Lövsk of which Rontbar has a right to, in order to protect national sovereignty as well as the interest of the people of Lövsk.

Speaking today in Anderta, Mela Pyitrov, Commander of Rontbar stated that, 'Rontbar's history and cultural heritage are of utmost importance to me, to you and to the Western Isles. The discovery earlier this week has lead to a unique opportunity for Rontbar, as a nation, to protect its national interests and its citizens. This will be done fairly, democratically and with the interests of peace.'

She warned that nations opposing the annexation would suffer severe economic sanctions as well as condemnation. A referendum is being organised for inhabitants to vote on sovereignty. Recent opinion polls from a sample of 10,000 citizens show that 61% of citizens have voted to become a part of a stronger Rontbar.

The Rontbari Military is currently being stationed in Lövsk's largest city, Kolyv, with security extremely high. Foreign diplomats have been restricted entry while Rontbar has seized Lövsk's borders, stating that, 'In order for democracy to be carried out properly, the imperialistic intentions of hostile forces must be minimised'.

The results of the referendum will be announced later next week.

Cristo Claims southern land

The Cristoan council has decided in a 120 to 20 vote to annex the land directly south of their current border.

This land had previously been claimed by Rajinnar. But, in light of the recent collapse of their government, the idea of annexing the area so as to prevent anymore chaos has proven to be an idea with much traction with in the Republic.

The area being annexed has around 46 million people, nearly all of whom are ' Pagans'. Despite the Cristoan law of only Christian citizens, an exception will be made for all current members of the region. This exception will not be made to any of their decedents however.

Police forces have been deployed across the larger settlements of the area, in order to make sure the annexation goes smoothly.

Vancouvian Congress Warns Cristo and Jagellion

Vancouvian Congress issued a public statement today that the inroads of both Cristo and Jagellion into areas not recognized as their territory will not go unchecked. Despite the closeness of the Vancouvian military with Cristo and their WIND alliance, Vancouvian Congress declared that any attempt at them pushing further southeast would result in "substantial consequences."

As to the Jagellion expansion, the Congress stated that Vancouvia would "certainly go as far as extreme economic sanctions against Jagellion" if Jagellion was to "continue with their expansionist plans."

All this comes at a time when the majority of Vancouvian forces are stationed abroad in the Bhumidol Conflict, which may yet near its end, as a Vancouvian proposal for peace has been received well by the Bhumidol A.I. government. If forces can be freed from that front, top Vancouvian military commanders feel that they can adequately back up the anti-imperialism statements issued by the Congress.

Trade Pact With Randmar
The Alantanian government has just enetered a trade pact with the nation of Randmar. In this pact crude oil will be exported from Alantania and sent to Randmar and in return Randmar will export refined oil to our nation. National Assembly Approves Annexation

The National Assembly approved the creation of the Department of Vermelles, through the annexation of approximately 25 square miles on edge of the peninsula south of Tuernia. The 20,000 Jains rescued from Bhumidol will be the primary settlers, although other residents of Tuernia will be allowed to participate as well. The settlement will be built with international assistance from Vancouvia, Jagellion, Kefira, Alantania, and Shancion. The bill also approved a path to citizenship for refugees, those living in Tuernian territory for five years without being convicted of any felonies will automatically be granted citizenship. Additionally, all those minors found to be orphans will immediately be given citizenship.

This annexation is one in a recent series by nations in the Western Isles, although the President stressed it was different in nature, in an open speech to the region.

"I wish to speak to our fellow nations in the region. I know many of you are concerned by the recent expansions of nations in our region. as are we. Tuernia's annexation, however, is dramatically different. Firstly, it was for a purely humanitarian purpose. We would never have done it if we did not need the land to support the Jain refugees. Secondly, it is a very small strip, we have taken only as much as we need. Finally, we have spoken with our neighbors, Nihon, the Lithuanian Commonwealth, and the Kingdom of Kamieniec, and secured their consent.

I hope this is enough to demonstrate sincere intent."
