I'm not convinced that the falcata evolved from the kopis. I'd say it's more likely that the falcata came about another way. After all, the Greeks had very little to do with Iberia, I assume, while the Celts had pretty much everything to do with it. Their incredible metalworking abilities is good evidence that it evolved independently, because who else could make such a high quality sword? I'm pretty sure the Greeks didn't know about burying steel plates for several years to have the weaker steel corrode away.

Same with the kopis and the khopesh. I think the design of the blade curving forward with a broad belly is just an evolution of axes in general, and not a particular ancestor.
