Experience: D&D 3.5, 4.0. Warmahordes. Neverwinter Nights 2, DA: Origins (not much), KotOR series, Spiral Knights.
Preferred Level of Detail: Depends on the setting and the group. If the atmosphere is more lighthearted, I don't think that you need anything like different dice for different weapons, etc. But I suppose the ideal ruleset is something like the current, Warmachine 2.0 rules. They make sense, there's a lot of accuracy but there aren't so many rules that in play your games get drawn out by rule arguments. They're certainly clear.
Activity: I'm on NS daily.
RP Example: I've never RPed on NS, ever. I did try to help make a universe, but of course the thread died. I advocated for tabletop RPG mechanics. I guess I've never RPed on NS, because I just don't find the common style of RP very fun or interesting...

They're not, really. That section is really to see how in-depth of an experience you have with this sort of thing. FPS's are obviously irrelevant, but RTS's can be useful.

Concept: A greatly modified version of Harkback's Homeworld, with a totally non-Homeworld storyline.
Genre(s): Sci-fi
Type (Character/Faction/Nation): Faction
Level of Detail: As detailed as Homeworld.
Detailed Description: The story details are still up in the air, but right now I'm leaning towards a story partly inspired by that horrible cashgrab mobile game Strikefleet Omega. Basically, humanity is on the verge of falling to an alien empire, and the last hope resides in a small fleet of ships only marginally prepared for combat, which must jump from system to system scavenging resources to hold off the alien threat and eventually destroy the alien's main fleet to save Earth. I'm considering having one player play as the aliens, they'd be informed of having X ships in each sector, and would give commands by TG, popping into the IC only for flavor text. Because they'd get new ships each sector, it wouldn't particularly matter if they lost.
