About

VAPON (pron. V-uh-pon) is a highly professional and capable arms-for-hire, situated and headquartered in Aleivanistan. Our main objective is to provide quality security and execute high-risk missions for those who need it. We help the world by taking part in a nations homeland security, defence and humanitarian reconstruction. Being an entirely private company, free of government intervention, VAPON is not restricted by political differences - we serve on a moral basis.

Put together by former military generals and commanders, VAPON's formation can be traced back to the days of endless political feuds of 1955. With a lack supervision, the armed forces they served deteriorated, inspiring them to go independent. Surely, their homeland might have ended its days of stagnation, and the problems that were then no longer exist today. Yet, VAPON thrived and still does. Built on the backbone of military minds, VAPON is an extremely reliable military organization, having successfully completed a wide array of missions - given by governments and corporations alike, proving both VAPON's worth and potential.

*Policies are subject to change

-VAPON does not and will not accept contracts that have the potential of inflicting serious, unnecessary harm towards an individual, a group, nation or corporation
-VAPON will not take part in an operation designed to start an armed conflict, or other avoidable violent uprisings
-VAPON does not and will not associate itself with chemical, biological or nuclear weaponry/warfare
-VAPON does not and will not associate itself with torture and other inhumane acts
-VAPON will not be held accountable for any war crimes committed by other non-VAPON operatives during a mission
Offers including any of the following will be immediately turned down:
Contracts suggesting the assassination of an opposition leader solely for personal gain
Contracts suggesting harmful behavior to the civilian population
Contracts that involve the disruption of humanitarian efforts
Contracts offered by rebels, criminals, terrorists and other unlawful organisations
-VAPON operatives will follow orders given by the contractor, if passed by VAPON HQ. We retain the right to overrule an order that doesn't seem fit
-VAPON has the right to turn down an application

VAPON's ultimate goal is to provide optimum security standards around the world. We mainly take part in counter-terrorist, counter-piracy, and counter-terrorist operations, as well as non-militarized efforts such as humanitarian reconstruction. Other contract types may apply, as long as it abstains from being turned down by said terms.

Contractors

Image
VAPON contractors landing at an objective

Our contractors go under extensive, tier-1 level training to ensure the mission is completed with maximum effectiveness. Nearly all have a background of working and serving in their home country's military, and come from all branches; air force, navy, army. Each man/woman's identity is kept classified, to confirm security is constantly at its highest point. The VAPON training program was create to stretch each and every one's physical capabilities, and teach techniques used in combat such as firearm usage, disarmed melee, dynamic entry, stealth approach, etc. Extensive background checks are mandatory upon entry.

Operatives are equipped with tactical combat vests, radio, firearm and sidearm, gas-mask, night vision goggles, (see full description below)

Organisation

Contractors are organised in to groups of four, named a fireteam. Further grouping them into four forms a patrol, totalling 16 contractors, while two patrols create a crew. 64 contractors become a section. Customers must hire contractors in fireteams at the minimum, due to the inability of our men to effectively sustain themselves below that number. NOTE: large groups are split up into fireteams for mission planning. Crews and sections are used as an order format for customers wishing to contract a large force.

FIRETEAM (4 total)
-Contractor x 4
PATROL (16 total)
-Fireteam x 4
CREW (32 total)
-Patrol x 2
SECTION (64 total)

Troop, Equipment & Vehicle Details

Uniform

Image

Flexibility lies at the very core of what our uniforms are designed for. Made to fit virtually any role, nearly all of our contractors wear the same, distinct and easily recognisable apparel. We constantly make sure our soldiers are fitted with all necessary equipment to take care of an operation of any scale.

A sidearm of a standard semi-automatic 9mm pistol delivers competent and reliable fire support in varying degrees of combat, and is carried in a small gun holder. The assault rifle used by our units is the Adaptive Combat Rifle, or the ACR, which delivers 30 rounds of 5.56×45mm cartridges, firing either fully or semi automatically. The rifle is usually outfitted with a holographic sight and a silencer, however is routinely modified to fit mission requirements. Other lethal weapons used are the KRISS Vector, CRK Model Mark IV knife (for close combat and survival situations), and one M67 frag grenade. Other hand grenades carried are two M18 smoke grenades, one flash grenade (used for breaching, mainly in hostage rescue operations) and two flares to signal for extraction. Amount of each hand grenade can vary, but does not exceed the total of six.

Our units wear and use night vision goggles, a head-mounted flashlight and a gas mask to provide capabilities across a wide array of diverse and harsh environments. To increase operational capacity they carry a rappelling rope that can be used off a helicopter and any serviceable ledge near the target point. A combat vest is used to carry all the equipment, and allows each troop to carry up to seven magazines for their primary weapon, as well as three additional magazines for the 9mm. Body armour includes a new-generation of bulletproof vests, which deliver a moderate degree of bullet protection. A ballistic helmet and rebreathing goggles are also in use, to shield the head from incoming shrapnel and other hazardous objects. Knee pads are added on to prevent any unnecessary and preventable injuries. A thick jacket featuring attributes similar to that of GORE-TEX keeps the soldier both warm and dry. Standard pants, boots and gloves are also used to enforce this need.

This standard outfit is the heart of our operational force, and sustains substantial amounts of potentiality, which is exploited by each troop's excessive amount of skills. Combining these components fabricates a unique and highly adaptable system, bringing forth unparalleled effectiveness.

Equipment

Adaptive Combat Rifle (ACR)
Image

Weight: 3.6–4.4 kg
Length: 66 cm (stock folded), 83 cm (stock deployed), 90 cm (stock extended)
Barrel length: 27–46 cm
Cartridge: 5.56×45mm, 6.8 mm SPC
Action: Gas-piston, rotating bolt
Rate of fire: 800 RPM
Muzzle velocity: 790–990 m/s
Effective firing range: 500 m for point targets, 600 m for area targets

The Adaptive Combat Rifle (ACR) has been VAPON's weapon of choice since its introduction into the company in 2013. As it's name suggests, the weapon was designed to cover a wide variety of roles, and be able to adapt to different situations. It has been made to endure certain conditions such as exposure to sand, dirt, mud, and water and other substances that would jam most weapons. This makes it the more favourable choice when leading very distinct missions.

Various stocks are available for the ACR, such as the fixed adjustable variant, folding adjustable, and sniper stock. Despite the options, VAPON only uses folding adjustable, as the other two were deemed either unnecessary or sub-par when compared to the other options. The mission configurable rifle allows the soldier to switch calibers within minutes, and allows for more mission oriented weaponry.

KRISS Vector
Image

Weight: 2.7 kg
Length: 620mm, 410mm w/stock folded
Barrel length: 140mm
Cartridge: .45 ACP (11.43x23mm)
Action: Delayed blowback, closed bolt
Rate of fire: 1,200 RPM
Effective firing range: 50m

The KRISS Vector has been seen as an alternative to the ACR when faced with close-quarter combat, thanks to the high rate of fire and muzzle climb. The silenced weapon has a magazine of 25 rounds, however the variants used feature the MagEx +25 extension, allowing more ammunition capacity. The sub-machine gun also comes with a folding stock, flip-up back up iron sights, pitcanny rails and three firing modes: fully automatic, semi automatic and burst, providing the soldier with more possibilities when faced with a scenario.

VAPON is slowly replacing current models with the KRISS Vector Enhanced Series, which eliminates most muzzle climb, eventually increasing effective fire range and firearm capabilities.

M9 Beretta
Image

Weight: 952g unloaded, 1.1kg loaded
Length: 217mm
Barrel length: 125mm
Cartridge: 9×19mm Parabellum
Action: Short recoil
Muzzle velocity: 381 m/s
Effective firing range: 50m

The M9 Beretta has been the primary sidearm since VAPON's creation. The durable and reliable handgun was originally designed to endure the most harsh environments. Should it malfunction or encounter any other problem, it allows the user to easily take it apart for maintenance - without the need of any extra external tools. The M9 is also highly resistant to sweat and corrosion, allowing our troops to effectively use it over long periods of time. A picatinny rail grants the gun for an attachment of a flashlight, laser sight, among other accessories. Magazines used by VAPON provide 15 rounds per clip, with extra 3 magazines carried in ammo pouches. The dreamlike capacity of the M9 Beretta provides the user with versatile lethal capability , and is widely seen as a solid choice for a sidearm.

RSASS
Image

Weight: 7.14 kg
Length: 100 cm
Barrel length: 46 cm, 51 cm
Cartridge: 7.62×51mm
Effective firing range: 800–1,006m

The RSASS is the primary sniper rifle in use by VAPON. It has a range of over 800m while having a semi-automatic firing mode, allowing for long-range enemy pinpointing. Commonly outfitted with a silencer, the RSASS can prove to be a silent yet deadly weapon. We here at VAPON use this potential to its maximum, providing effective sniper cover when needed. Regularly used in escort, location security, and hostage rescue missions.

Standard accessories include a bipod, adjustable/replaceable stock, optional accessories include a hybrid reflector sight (mounted on the barrel's side), laser pointers, and flashlight. If the operation requires it, the scope can be fitted with a night-vision sensor. Magazines contains 20 rounds each.

"The Mosquito is a light attack helicopter with the ability to carry anti-ground fixed forward-firing weapons such as unguided rockets and machine guns to provide direct air-support for the operating ground forces.

The appearance of the Mosquito is simple yet recognisable. The design is dominated by the large bubble-type framed glass cockpit that allows for excellent visibility out of the two-man cockpit. The cockpit resides just in front of a small crew cabin area with placement for up to 6 combat-ready troops/operatives on "bench" type seating along the outboard sides of the cabin fuselage. Armament ... can be modified for certain mission's needs. The Mosquito is developed for quick insertion/extraction of troops, provide competent fire support and be an optional scout helicopter. Today it is favoured by many special forces as their main aviation unit."

Crew: 2 operators, 3 passengers
Weight: 14 tonnes
Length: 5.2m
Width: 2.4m

"The Hunter is a Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle manufactured by ZAMI to provide troops with enhanced protection. The armoured hull can withstand light weapons and protects the crew against landmines and improvised explosive devices (IED). Even though the heavy armour and powerful engine cause increased fuel consumption, it has been favoured by frontline troops over the light vehicles for its easy maintenance and good protection level. Armed version of the sturdy Hunter MRAP vehicle is fitted with a Remotely Controlled Weapons System turret. The turret is fitted with the universal 12.7mm heavy machine gun ... Armed Hunters are used for troop transport in combat zones, as light reconnaissance vehicles or can even obtain a fire support role in certain operations."

Operational range: 800 km
Top speed: 100 km/h+, 10 km/h in water

Amount in service: 89

The Marshall is the only APC, AFV serving in VAPON. It originated from Aleivanistan, and thus is capable of handling terrain that VAPON is already used to. The amphibious vehicle is used for both troop deployment and fire support. It is armed with a 40mm CTWS cannon and a coaxial machine gun, bringing forth competent firepower. As it is able to carry up to two fireteams plus three crew, VAPON upgraded the armour to remain operational after sustaining damage from mines and other AA explosives. The Marshall's armour also gives a substantial amount of protection against smallarms, and can sustain multiple explosive hits. The gunner can load and fire both high-explosive or armour-piercing ammunition for soft and armoured targets, and smoke generators located on top of the vehicle can deploy a thick cloud of smoke that obscures the vehicle from view.

Z.M.I. Legionnaire-Class Fast Attack Craft
Description taken off of Zeus Defense Industries, at their consent.
Image

Displacement: 520 tons
Length: 60.5 m
Beam:9.9 m
Draft: 2 m
Installed power: 3 × ZDI Engineering Diesel-Electric Engines, 33,000 hp (24.3 MW)
Propulsion: 3 x Water Jets
Speed: 45 knots
Range: 2,120 nmi at 15 knots
Endurance: 8 days at sea
Complement: 36 - 40
Armament:
1 x OTO Melara 76 mm/62 Super Rapid DP Gun
8 x RGM-501 'Thor' Anti-Ship/Surface Missile
1 x RIM-116 RAM launcher (21-cell)/16 x VLS cells for XM501 NLOS or VL MICA
1 x Phalanx 20 mm CIWS
2 x Deck-Mounted 12.7 mm Machine Guns

Amount in service: 8

"Fitted with RGM-501 'Thor' anti-ship missiles as its primary anti-ship weapon, the Legionnaire-Class is capable of fighting against larger ships that dare to challenge one's waters, and, with numerical advantages. In addition, it is armed with a 76 mm rapid fire gun in case it faces a situation requiring naval guns. In order to defend itself against incoming aerial threats, it can be equipped with short-range anti-air missiles and even a CIWS, which, in some cases, can even add up on anti-surface warfare.

Since one of the criteria for the Next-Generation Coastal Defense Combatant (NGCDC) program required high survivability, speed and stealth, the Legionnaire-Class is a master of speed and stealth against the enemy. Using waterjet propulsion, it can accelerate to speeds up to 45 knots per hour, making rapid combat entry and exeunt possible. Furthermore, stealth characteristics have been seriously considered: as a result, its radar cross-section (RCS) is about the size of a fishing boat. With both speed and stealth coupled with superior armament, the Legionnaire-Class is engineered to be a survivable craft in naval warfare. "

The craft is extensively used in counter-piracy and maritime security operations.

NOTE: VAPON will not be using anti-ship weaponry as an offensive weapon against other military ships, but as a form of defence

Department of Defense
Korinth Acropolis
2 Akadimias Blvd
Korinth, New Korinth

Phone: (+1)624-997-3444-7 x1300

To Whom It May Concern:

I am Anatoli Kritikos, Strategos for the New Korinthian Department of Military Administration, a sub-bureau of the Department of Defense. On behalf of the nation of New Korinth, I write to you now regarding the immediate employment of VAPON operators to support military efforts in the colony of Antipolis.

Although we have secured the urban areas of our colony, New Korinthian forces have been constantly harassed by nationalist insurgencies operating within the region's rural and mountainous outskirts. We now wish to procure VAPON operators to support and eventually supplant our national forces working to secure the colony.

Mission details have been communicated below, and your company should be aware that this is a long-term and high risk situation. Assuming our offer is accepted, and the operators are released into our employ, they will be immediately tasked with counter-insurgency operations in Antipolis. Transportation to and from the region will be provided at the New Korinthian government's expense, via civilian air travel.

Once again assuming that the offer is accepted, the Korinthian Department of Defense will maintain communications with VAPON and provide regular updates about VAPON operators and mission statuses.

We hope that the entirety of this offer is satisfactory, and that we can expect VAPON's support in our military efforts.

Sincerely,
Anatoli Kritikos
Strategos, NKDOMA
Korinthian Department of Defense

Operation Application

Name of nation: New Korinth
Government or private company contract? Government Contract
Name of employer: New Korinthian Department of Defense
Amount of contractors needed (4, 16, 32, 64): 1,280
Type of mission (escort, security, sabotage, etc): Anti-insurgency/Military Law Enforcement
Length of contract: 2 Years (730 Days)
Mission risk (select 1 option):
[ ] Extremely high risk
[X] High risk
[ ] Medium risk
[ ] Low risk
[ ] Extremely low risk

Description of mission:
These personnel will be used to secure towns and villages in the New Korinthian colony of Antipolis. Despite an ongoing occupation of the area, New Korinth does not have sufficient manpower to police the area and root out remaining insurgent cells. The Korinthian Military Intelligence Center (KMIC) estimates about twelve separate nationalist partisan groups operating within the region surrounding the coastal city of Antipolis.

Risk is considered high given the guerilla tactics employed by these nationalist groups, which include roadside ambushes, frequent IED use and use of civilians as cover. This can make them difficult to spot and identify, and makes them very difficult to engage effectively.

VAPON operators will be working alongside New Korinthian Special Forces, Alpine Warfare Specialists and operators from other private military companies. They will also work with the KMIC, who provide military intelligence for the ongoing operation. Helicopter and close-air support will be provided and several armor and artillery regiments are already active in the area, mainly the region directly adjacent to the city of Antipolis. The colony's outskirts are rural and heavily cultivated, with mountainous regions surrounding to the North and West. The majority of the enemy forces operate within the mountain range, and so this is where VAPON operators will be most necessary, securing fortified mountain towns and villages.

VAPON operators will require alpine warfare equipment and vehicles, which can be provided by the KDOD if VAPON is unable to fulfill this requirement. Other vehicles, of the non alpine variety, will be supplied by the New Korinthian military.

Vehicles needed: None.

Destination nation: Parathallasies-Alpeis, Antipolis, Colony of New Korinth

Other comments/enquiries: Price is calculated as: ($67,500*20 Sections)+(($266*365 days*2 years)*1280 contractors)=$249,900,400

Type of mission (escort, security, sabotage, etc): Anti-insurgency and security support
Length of contract: 1 year
Mission risk (select 1 option):
[] Extremely high risk
[] High risk
[x] Medium risk
[] Low risk
[] Extremely low risk

Description of mission: The goal of the VAPON personnel will be to assist the Pejitean security forces and the Pejitean Forces in the West to secure the turbulent western regions of the kingdom. As we speak, an offensive against the insurgent forces is being executed by the armed forces to take back the southwestern region from extremist hands. Specifically, the mission is simple: secure the areas that our forces have taken, and provide fire support for any friendly military units that engage the insurgents if they ever attack in these areas.

Western Pejite is relatively flat, so there'll be no worries for difficult hilly terrain. But this terrain is extremely arid, the exception being the marshes in the very southwestern tip of the southwestern region. Aside from heat and dust storms, there'll be few weather issues. Our forces have military outposts all over the northwestern province while the southwestern province is under the insurgents...for now.

Though this mission is medium risk, the insurgents may pose a constant threat or even a serious one. They have aircraft, and will not hesitate to send in bomb-laden "suicide" troopers to eliminate their targets. They also have armored vehicles which we prefer you try to leave intact since want to try and capture them back (if possible). Another risk factor are defecting military personnel. We advise that while you assist our men, you also keep an eye out for them. The most reliable of our military personnel are the members of the Pejitean Forces in the West (SNN), whose soldiers are presently serving at the frontline against the foe.

If we are satisfied with your services, we will extend the contract. We will also ask the VAPON personnel to bring some of their vehicles. If you accept this, we wish you good luck in advance!

Vehicles needed:
[x] Armed Helicopter (Mosquito)
[] Transport Helicopter (Mosquito)
[] Armoured transport (Hunter)
[x] APC (Marshall)

Destination nation: Shuppon International Airport, Shuppon City, Nordues (northwestern region), Pejite (Destination of arrival)

Other comments/enquiries: The total cost is estimated to be $62,838,600 (with armed helicopters instead of armored transports).

FROM THE OFFICE OF PUBLIC SAFETY,
BIRTONIAN ARMED FORCES COMMAND

Greetings,

I have recently discovered your company, and after some research, I have decided you are most assuredly the company to go with. My countries largest airport is undergoing massive renovations since our relatively new status as a sovereign nation needs to be kept up in the best way possible. To ensure the efforts go smoothly I hereby request and authorize the use of Private Military Contractors on Birtonian soil. At this time our intelligence agencies do not indicate any sort of credible threat to the operation, however being in this industry I am sure that you understand that situations can change at a moments notice.

In addition to your men I request one (1) unarmed mosquito for QRF, four (4) hunters and one (1) marshall for RRF.

We are currently in the process of acquiring new agreements with foreign airlines nearly every day, so civilian traffic is increasing heavily. I wish to utilize your equipment and men as our primary counter-terrorism unit assigned to the airport. In the future I may entertain the idea of acquiring another section to provide perimeter security around the area.

But for now that is all. I have attached the required application below.

Sincerely,

Knight-Colonel Isaac Hidalgo
Military Police, Commanding
Public Safety
Birtonian Armed Forces Command.

Other comments/enquiries: Upon acknowledgment of partnership between VAPON and the BAF, Birtonian State Air will be notified, one passenger and one cargo jet will be sent to the pick up location of your choosing. Due to the extended nature of the requested assignment, one hotel will be commandeered by our military forces and given to your company under contract to utilize as barracks, motor pool, comms center, and HQ within the country. Your men are authorized as much leave as you wish. The city of Theros is our largest tourism site and only minutes away from our scenic beaches.

To Whom It May Concern:

This message has been transmitted at the request of the New Korinthian Department of Military Intelligence, to inform VAPON of the deaths of twelve of its operators during the course of a routine patrol in the mountains of the Parathalassies-Alpeis, near Antipolis.

The patrol, which consisted primarily of VAPON operators, but also of personnel from Thermopylae Solutions PMC and the Korinthian Special Forces (Alpikó Hoplites), was ambushed by insurgents using improvised explosive devices and mortars. Ordinarily, such ambushes would be spotted and prevented via the routine air patrols in the area, but an approaching blizzard had made such operations impossible, and so the ground patrol was vulnerable to attack.

The names and ranks of VAPON's operators will be transmitted securely to VAPON headquarters, and we hope that your company will communicate the Korinthian government's condolences to the families of the deceased. Payment, to the amount of $80,000 per casualty, has been wired directly.

Despite these casualties, the Korinthian DOD would like to request 12 new operators to replace those lost, and keep the personnel numbers in Antipolis constant.

Sincerely,
Artemisia Laskaris

From: Robert Feller, CEO

Artemisia Laskaris,

It truly breaks our hearts to hear such catastrophic news. All money, apologies and commiserations have been passed on to the families of the deceased. Their service will be remembered, and memories will be reminisced. We expect the government of New Korinth to do all it can to assist VAPON in the recovery of the bodies of any man or woman who lost their life, should they have been left behind. This includes the intervention of vehicles, aircraft and all necessary equipment to conduct such operation.

From here on out, we wish that prior to any patrols there must be mandatory air monitoring, to ensure the safety of the men and women risking their lives for the security of your nation. Although the incident was unprecedented and well out of the DOD's hands, we must remind you that our soldiers human beings, with families and friends. They should not be considered as numbers on a paper, nor disposable objects. Should the death rate increase exponentially, VAPON will reconsider its operations in Antipolis and taxes for the loss of life will increase.

Your request for an additional 12 operatives will be put on hold, as our teams monitor the situation of Antipolis and see how the region unfolds in the coming future.

Yours,
Robert Feller, CEO of VAPON

Mr. Robert Feller:

Having just come from a meeting of the Strategoi, I can tell you most assuredly that the Korinthian Department of Defense and the Korinthian military will make the greatest possible effort to ensure the safety of VAPON operators going forward, and that we feel valuable lessons have been gained from this recent incident.

It is unlikely that this will be a common occurrence, and I feel it is necessary to stress that the Korinthian military takes great efforts to ensure complete operational security. Unfortunately, however, all of the variables involved cannot be completely controlled in any combat situation. In this case, the patrol was in the process of extracting, due to the blizzard, when they came under fire. We have determined that this is because they used the same route to return from the area as they did to enter, allowing the enemy forces to prepare an ambush. In the future, we will plan to ensure that different routes are used for infiltration and extraction from an area.

I would also like to assure you that the KDOD is well aware of the tragedy that results from any loss of life. We lost two Korinthian Alpine Specialists and a guide in this same ambush, and I have spoken to the strategos who wrote the letters to their families. He was very distraught, having known one of the specialists personally. Not only that, but the armed insurgency has been active in Antipolis for two years now, and nearly every Korinthian has been personally affected by the violence in the region.

Your personnel who were killed were part of a surge in military personnel in Antipolis, meant to weaken the increasingly desperate insurgency. As they become more desperate, however, these insurgents become more dangerous, using more radical tactics. While I doubt this scale of casualties will be repeated, I do doubt that this will be the last loss of life in this volatile, and ongoing conflict.

In regards to the bodies of the deceased, they were all recovered successfully immediately following the incident. Their coffins will arrive by air within 48 hours, and we hope that the receipt of their bodies will provide some closure to the affected loved ones.

We share your grief at this incident, and I assure you that we have taken steps to comply with your company's requests and suggestions regarding VAPON operations in Antipolis.

We here at VAPON respect and highly appreciate your contributions to aid VAPON with the recovery effort. These acts of solidarity will not be forgotten. We believe the KDOD and the New Korinth Military will always support the VAPON operatives deployed in the region (something of which has just been shown), and we will do everything in our power to return these favours. Following your request of 12 additional operatives, our executives have discussed on the manner and ultimately came to the decision to accept. 12 additional VAPON contractors will be dispatched to Antipolis within the next 48 hours.

The issue can be further discussed via the secured channel.

Seeing as Francis International Airport is a partner of VAPON, you have access to a 25% discount, making the total price for the 3 year contract $1,125,000. We will be keeping a close eye on the airport, and make sure it stays out of harms way.

Truly yours,

Your friends at VAPON
