FT CONFERENCE:- ALL FT NATIONS ATTEND.

Postby Unified Sith » Tue Jul 14, 2009 2:56 pm

OOC: All young and old nations are requested to attend this conference for a first contact meeting and negotiations which will lead to future roleplays. I am very interested in interacting with the younger nations.

The planet Rouz was an odd world. Its human inhabitants kept to themselves and lived out what was considered the utmost example of an independent and neutral life. They were regarded by those that knew them as a hospitable and reconciliatory people focused upon peace, justice, and harmony. For this quality alone, Rouz had become renown for being the perfect meeting place for various interstellar societies that may be, or may have been at some point engaged in hostilities.

A world much like earth, it was home to temperate, desert and jungle regions across both hemispheres. But it was only upon one southern island where sentient life dwelt. Draste was a humble city, where most of the buildings were made from logs or natural stone, with the backdrop dominated by churches and in the centre a cathedral which stood like a mountain, stretching into the heavens above.

It was in there, in that building, that most conferences took place.

Invitations for this particular conference had been sent to almost every nation of significance throughout the galaxy based on the good reputation of the people of Rouz. It read in the traditional stately format, requesting that nations send dignitaries of some level to an event which would surely interest, if not benefit them in some way. Based on meetings past, everyone was very much aware that they rarely used such terminology flippantly.

Dates, times, landing pads, and rooms of residence had already been arranged for every single race invited. All they really had to do was land and attend what would be one of the most memorable gatherings in years. . .

OOC: Would a race entirely made of agressive artificially intelligent nanoconstructs that killed their former masters from Birkaine be accepted there? I'm basically the machines from The Second Renaissance.

"Angered response, Madif. You distracted the meeting and severely impaired discussion, not to mention your offensive remarks towards my race. The Sanctuary Guardians were correct to withdraw you from the conference; it was only a matter of moment until you began physically assaulting the Serene Councillors attending," sighed Aras Fu'ldi as he spoke with the moon elfin Serene Councillor, Madif Codoi, via a video conference. Her enraged face dominated the screen, Aras using his right tentacle to sip a glass of hobbit milk.

A vein in Codoi's neck pulsed. "Your race is minor! You cannot defend yourselves, you had to-"

Fu'ldi shook his head, turning away from Codoi, dominating the wall which had been fitted with a giant comvision screen. He ordered his dawn elfin aides to turn it off, walking away from the video conference room, proceeding through the gargantuan doors which he could barely fit through. He wandered slowly into the Operations Room, a duo of Sanctuary Guards and a trio of dawn elfin aides behind him. The ship was a civilian transporter; converted for governmental use. The commander was a dawn elfin woman, beautiful as dawn elfin standards seemed to dictate. The dawn elves sympathised with his race; nearly wiped out by the moon elves, spared only due to the kind actions of the barbaric orcs of Zansilar. Now, his race resided in a secluded area of Zansilar, a small island, advanced heavily with beautiful structures and holograms, unheard of in Orcish society before conscripted into the Sevilia, the Confederation's army, where they would be brainwashed to support the Confederation in all her conflicts via a particular genius hobbit invention. Of course, the orcs didn't know that. He approached the commander. "When are we landing, seva?"

"In five minutes, sere," she replied, sipping her glass of loina.

* * *

Fu'ldi, accompanied by his two guards, exited the transporter with a decorated blue textile flung over his back. He breathed in the air of Draste, fresh and clean. While the buildings were not to his liking - his people preferred curved, futurist structures - they were not completely primitive, like that of the orc. He walked forward on all fours, for his race was similar to the elephant of Terra, if smaller, lacking in a trunk and having tusks replaced by tentacles, using for drinking and talking. He had landed near the cathedral where the meeting he had been invited to was perceived to take place, his two guards beside him.

Calmly and slowly, he walked towards it, for his race was the opposite of athletic; it took long for them to walk from one location to the next due to their gargantuan weight. Again unlike the elephant, his race was covered in a grey fur, which could be mistaken for skin if it was sunny and failed to be windy; this fur, along with the fat, had secured his species survival in their icy home planets. When he arrived and after passing security, he was escorted into the building by his guards.

“Ponderous murmuring. Not metallic like native structures, simple but beautiful, if less pleasing to the eye than ours," he thought aloud, his two orcish Sanctuary Guards planting their shining golden laser spears into the ground, silent. "Question. Where is the meeting room?

President Luis Santiago had arrived early; he adjusted his suit and tie softly as he walked in to the conference room secretary of state Kate Maryland was next to him and two secret service agents were also present in their black crisp suits. Santiago was a tall man, he was older his hair was gone, his skin brown, his eyes a soft brown and his form lithe.

He stood there looking around and awaiting the other guests the secretary of state also waiting. Santiago’s face was well toned and softly accented by the light of the area. This was the first foreign trip of his presidency, and would probably prove to be the last. His eyes focused upon the myriad of new things and similar construction of the world to earth. He was interested in its history but curbed his historical side for the trip.

He wondered what this was about and hoped that nothing would go wrong; the Alliance couldn’t stand to lose another president he hoped this would put an end to all conflicts between his nation and others. As it seemed a lot of nations did have such things he had inherited this from the Short lived Zimmerman Administration.

Fu'ldi saw another delegate arriving. He turned one hundred and eighty degrees towards what he instantly recognised as a human in formal clothing, his nearly round uncovered feet - identical to that of the Terran elephant - making light marks on the flooring, not enough to be noticed, of course. A female human stood beside him; while he knew little of human culture, he assumed them to be some executive pairing. Slowly, followed by his Sanctuary Guardians, he approached the duo, walking miserably as his race did. In English - the most popular of human languages, the gnomes had learnt in their observations of earth - he addressed them, his pessimistic voice not reflecting his true attitude of excitement and wonder.

"Friendly greeting. Greetings, humans. I am Aras Fu'ldi of the Sethras Confederation, Serene Principal of the Serene Diplomatic Council. I am interested in your identities."

His black eyes stared at them, once again not reflecting his true opinions with their solemn stare.

Santiago looked at the delegate who seemingly started to speak with him, without hesitation he bowed and a smile came across his smooth well toned face.

He Kate bowed as well she was smaller than Santiago her frame was just as thin but effeminate rather than frail and lithe, She also smiled her blue eyes gazing in almost wonder at the delegation before her. Santiago was the first to speak out in response to the delegate’s questions.

“Greetings, My name is President Luis Santiago from the United Terran Alliance, It is an honor to meet new races”

He bowed again after his address. Kate then spoke up with a quick manner.

“And my name is Secretary of state Kate Maryland It is a pleasure to meet you”

She said this with a diplomatic smile. Santiago and Kate shot a look at each other for a split second nodding at each other, Santiago did not know what to make of these delegates they where new and the TA had no previous contact with their race, Kate saw this as an opportunity to open fresh relations with these new people.

Santiago was a bit more reserved, it’s not that he didn’t trust them it’s that he didn’t know how they would react to blunt proposals so he decided to go with whatever happens and to push the envelope only when it might be beneficial to the TA.

The Two Secret Service agents had backed off by this time giving everyone ample space to talk and socialize keeping an eye on the two prized persons from their nation. They didn’t think anything was going to go down here so they relaxed a bit adjusting their own black crisply ironed suits.

"Pleased response. I have never acquainted a human before, though we hear much of your race. Be aware, there is no need to formally title myself; we ellecen prefer casual addresses, so please call me Fu'ldi," replied Fu'ldi, bowing his head. "Question. How should I address you?"

He turned his face towards the female, bowing his head towards her. "Pleased response. It is good to meet you also so, seva Maryland. Question. How has your day been?"

"Explaination. Please forgive me for stating my type of statement before I actually speak it, it is to assist communication with other races. Us ellecen communicate via body language," he said rather hopelessly. "Please ignore my two guards; they are of the elite orcish Sanctuary Guards, and they pose no harm to you or what I presume to be your guardians on this day."

The guards, as if on cue, saluted the two in the standard orcish way, rather unusual for the emotionless killing machines known as orcs.

Divi Mwerta sat with a bemused smirk plastered on her face, sipping lightly from a crystal flute as he gazed about the vast and pointless cathedral. She had been displaced down from the orbiting DEV Good Boys Deserve Favours, and now sat admiring the rustic architecture of the Rous . Oddly, or perhaps merely surprisingly, she felt unsettled amidst the bland religious silence, as much out of place in the locale as a tumor nestled in an otherwise healthy brain.

She sipped again, pausing as she turned to her companion; the gleaming drone-form known as Russ Daevra. "It becomes apparent that these people are altogether more primitive and sedate than their message would imply. They seem deluded, certainly, but I didn't know that they were quite this...Hm, this rustic, shall we say?"

"Quite" The drone seemed unswayed by the hustle of diplomatic life, nor the sparkling brightness of their achievements. "It all strikes me as being rather compensatory, truth be told. This edifice, that is."

"Oh hush." She giggled. "I thought it was we humble biologicals who were supposed to be utterly obsessed with sex, but sometimes I think that you artificials are just as guilty of over-thinking the tedious tawdry nature of things."

"Everyone needs a hobby."

"You might want to consider something a smidge more practical; I'm sure Shipbrains don't sit and dissect the sex-lives of humans for fun"

"So much certainty in one so young. It's always a refreshing iteration; never fails to amuse."

"Hush! You'll embarress me in front of these people; I'm sure you wouldn't want to put a bad foot forward-

"I haven't got any feet-"

"Grr" She growled, glaring at the drone with her narrowed green eyes, before pouting impishly. Her pale pink lips jutted from her pale cream skin. She shook out her shoulder length red hair and sighed, rising from her seat, arms moving up and behind her head as she stretched. "Our hosts ought to be here soon anyway. How is the ship, by the by?"

"Bored. I think it's drinking in the planets rudimentary data-networks for a laugh. It'll take that apart; sift and sort and scrutinize. Should keep it busy for...Oh, our duration."

"Fair enough. Just keep me posted, and tell it to play nice. We don't want to spook the locals."

"Don't scare the natives; got it."

Re: FT CONFERENCE:- ALL FT NATIONS ATTEND.

Postby Capsule Corporation » Tue Jul 14, 2009 5:06 pm

A bubble flickered into existence roughly 100 kilometers above the surface of Rouz, and as quickly as it appeared the bubble of light that enclosed the RMF Corianton suddenly disappeared, revealing the recognizable hull of a ship of Capsule Corporation design. The ship, with every weapon retracted and the shields now discharged, began to suddenly feel the effect of the planet's gravity, dropping straight down in a controlled fall. Artificial gravity kept the crew from feeling too much of the effects, but the turbulence was still noticeable.

"Fold transaction successful, atmospheric insertion in progress," came the voice from the helm officer.

"Transmitting the approach clearance code that came in the invitation, commander," said the Tactical officer, quickly pressing a few buttons on his console.

Commander Robert Tasker nodded in acknowledgment of their reports, and stood up to look out at the planet from the large view available from the window that comprised the forward of the command hull. "When we reach max altitude, launch the escort and shuttle."

"On it," said the tactical officer, who put a finger to his ear to activate his communicator, then spoke quietly to the air group for a moment. Looking back up after a few seconds, he reported "Escort and shuttle are ready for launch at mark."

"Max altitude in 35 seconds," said the helm officer as she reached over to a console to her right, flipping a number of manual toggles.

A familiar green glow filled the vents of the VILE propulsion system, which immediately began pumping air from the top of the ship to the underside, causing both drag and thrust to slow their decent. The ship came to settle on the high edge of the stratosphere of the planet, and began to slowly drift around in the wind like a balloon.

"Equilibrium achieved at an altitude of 45 kilometers, artificial gravity systems disabled."

"Launching escort and delegate shuttle."

-----

"Alright, here we go!" shouted the senator's guard a second before the shuttle dropped in at a straight freefall from the larger mother-ship.

Jason Capsule, representative from the largest corporation and power on Raysia, clung to the straps that held him into his chair as the stripped gunship that he rode in decended flat and level, without the benefits of artificial gravity.

Image

"Rouz control, we are ETA 5 minutes from the designated landing zone," came the voice of the pilot over the radio, "requesting final landing confirmation."

The senator inside raised an eyebrow as he began to feel the gravity return, at a rate far slower than he would have wished to experience. "How can he talk so straight," he said gulping to keep his lunch down, "when I can't even ... speak... a half sentence!"

The sound of air rushing by the shuttle gradually grew louder as the air resistance slowed the ship. A roar sounded through the shuttle as it fired the vertical thrusters, slowing the ship's decent greatly.

The pilot signalled to the 2 escort gunships on his wings, as well as to the ground control one more time, "Looks like it might take up to 10 minutes, our package feels like taking the slow route." He laughed for a second before releasing the talk button.

The senator raised an eyebrow and stopped to catch his breath and settle his stomach. "Ugh... I didn't know going offworld would be this rough... This is my first time visiting another nation, so I'm already nervous enough!"

The guard smiled, then said "...ready yet?"

"Ready for wha--" the senator didn't even get to finish his response before the ship's engines cut again. "Seriously? Why... didn't we... ever... invent... teleporters!"

The guard just laughed and let out a marine-style shout, thoroughly enjoying the high altitude drop. He took a moment to check himself and make sure that he had all his equipment. The man wore a black suit with a tie, carrying only a single sidearm in his coat, which would probably be checked at the door.

They repeated this series of drops and brakes, eventually reaching a low enough altitude to engage the vertical thrusters at descent thrust and they approached the facility. After a moment or two more the shuttle set down on its designated pad. The doors opened and the senator straightened his tie as he walked out onto solid ground, his knees shaking for a moment. He quickly stabilized himself, and left the vehicle taking only his personal guard with him. He looked up at the 2 hovering escort ships that kept their distance from the site, and signaled to his pilot that all was well. The escorts flew straight back up to the Corianton, while his own shuttle rested peacefully on the landing pad. "Well, let's go see what we can accomplish here... what's the name of this planet hosting the event again?"

The guard chuckled, "Rouz... as in bullshit..." he said in a deep, yet comical tone.

The senator laughed at the guard's play on words, "seems an appropriate name for a political summit."

They walked on towards the delegate entrance.

Santiago responded shaking his hand nonchalantly and with a smile across his face.

“No need to apologize it’s alright, every race is different and these differences should be celebrated, I can’t say my people have ever seen or heard of you before, and we have explorers all over the galaxy charting unknowns. Nonetheless it is refreshing to meet you..”

Kate was surprised at the question the other had posed to her but didn’t really show it, he responded quickly.

“I am quite well thanking you for asking, how about yourself?”

The soft skinned long brown haired blue eyed female smiled up at the odd being who was addressing her. She adjusted her stance to be more relaxed yet still professional looking, her eyes looking over the others form with some interest and curiosity.
Santiago mean while bowed and said

“If you will excuse me my new friends…”
---
He had a polite inflection he had turned around starting to notice two new delegations one he had recognized from a data base the other he didn’t know quickly the older frail man made his way towards the others bowing to them softly. He greeted the delegate from Myenya first.

“Greetings old friends, it is nice to see you here, I am President Santiago”

He also nodded to the new arrivals he had not seen yet smiling to them and awaiting a response either from them or the Myenyans.

This might be shaping up to a treasure troll and cash cow of new relations trade deals and even a few non aggression pacts, Santiago was pleased that he was attending this conference, he would let Kate engage with the odd aliens he had met whilst he engaged with these delegates, splitting the workload in between the two of them Hopefully he thought the groups will cluster up and they would all be able to talk.

He grimaced for a moment before replying; the business with a particular megalomaniac moon elf had essentially spoiled his day. "Polite reply. I am good on this day. Sllightly hungry, but that is not a reason to have an unsuccessful day?"

He noticed the female adjust her stance, and the male turning to face the other delegates. He gave little reflection of this; though he was slightly annoyed with the male using other delegates to escape him. "Question. What is the Terran Alliance?"

He shufllerd in his stance, the blue textile hanging over his back fluttering slightly.

It didn't take much time for the Berserker Probe to arrive to the world of Rouz, relatively unknown to 01 apart from the fact one of its scout satellites had already mapped out the resources on the planet, and marked the world with a "low" estimated assimilation efficiency. Most rocky planets were classified as such, which meant the machines were uninterested on them for the time being, as they focused on more ore-rich planets and gas giants that provided far more resources to keep the unofficial "empire" of 01 going.

The Berserker was a massive featureless construct that had varying patterns of light on its completely flat dark blue surface, whose frontal part was a polygonal three-point star, with a very long and sharp tail portruding from its back. The Berserkers, along with the rest of what became 01, were invented long ago by the Birkanian people to scout the starts, terraforming anything in their wake for Birkanian colonizers, but needless to say, something went wrong and the machines became a country of their own, one that wiped Birkaine off existance. The principle was to have many nanomachines operating as larger entities, much like how cells formed the body of any organic creature, except the machines could alter their shape and consistency. After all, the nanomachines that doomed the Birkanian Colonial Consortium were more flexible than cells.

The Berserker Probe, which far outsized the other ships with the tremendous lenght of 7km, entered a geostationary orbit, with its sharp stern aiming at the surface of the planet. After its surface flashed brightly, the tip of its tail broke like crystal and several ships came out. One of them was a landing ship, which looked eerily remniscent of a bacteriophague virus, and rather large at 150 meters of height. Its body was made of a prism topped by a pyrammid, and the lower part was a huge claw-shaped structure. It had no front or rear, but instead slowly floated towards the surface. The machines had never attempted diplomacy before, so they were mostly in for information collecting.

Grand Duke Alexander Uishikov made his way into the conference chamber, uniform flashing. Being of the 'old school' of dress, he had opted for the showy route. His chest was crowded with medals, leaving barely any space for the actual uniform he was wearing to show through. What was visible was of quite high quality, featuring large amounts of gold braid. His trousers had been pressed to give them near razor-sharp creases and his boots had been shined to the point where, under the right conditions and on a bright day, they could leave burn marks on nearby trees and blind passersby. An ivory and gold scabbard hung from his neck, down to his waist, where it glimmered, the words, in Russian, inscribed on the side read 'The Imperial Cartographic Society: Order of Merit', to any who cared to read them.

The man himself was tall, with the sort of piercing eyes which were obtained by a lifetime of giving orders and having them obeyed immediately. His beard, in the current popular style, was a full-face affair which almost seemed to have a life of its own, despite being groomed to near geometrical perfection, with a curve at the chin which could have reduced a mathematician to tears. The numerous awards, which occasionally clicked as he walked, had apparently been hard earned, for the man wore an eye patch of the traditional sort, and a long scar down the same side of his face marked the only spot of imperfection in his facial hair. His hands were, more or less, free of scars, although close inspection would reveal, by the slight discoloration of his ring, middle and index finger on the left hand, and the thumb, index and ring finger of his right hand, that he had obtained prosthetic replacements.

He paused briefly at the door, taking the room and its occupants in, before selecting a seat and taking it.

Behind him an aid, similarly attired although with significantly fewer medals, walked, carrying a leather attache case. The man took station behind the grand duke and stood at something between attention and at-ease, giving off the air of a professional bodyguard who was currently, for the sake of appearances, posing as an aid.

Divi nodded politely, smiling gently. "A president, is it? I've never met a president before. I don't think I have. Have you, Russ?" She turned to her drone companion with a titter, lightly placing a hand over her mouth as she did so.

"Can't say I have. Kings, a few Emperors; maybe even a Duke. Never a president."

"How progressive. How thoroughly interesting." She smiled genuinely at Santiago. "Our peoples, as I recall, have met before haven't we? You people were there when we were effectively discovered by everybody, all at once. There with those nice Alversians, those arrogant Greywatchers, those bemusing Xiscapians and those intimidating but utterly lovely Gallifreyans. You had nice AI tech; I think I remember that much. Though the Alversians also did decently in that theatre. The Brains liked their little Leah." She grinned broadly. "Swings and roundabouts really; we like more or less everyone we meet.

We've yet to meet anyone who's been mean, and if we did we'd have to get worked up. Reality wouldn't be happy if that were to come to pass, methinks"

The Senator made his way over to the growing congregation of senators meeting between the landing pads (or wherever they were), and smiled as the man approached him. In a very business-like fashion, he extended his hand for a quick shake. "Ah," he said, confused but excited to be on a new world, "President Santiago, eh? I haven't met too many presidents.. but I know a few Santiagos. Perhaps they share your ancestry? I am Senator Jason Capsule, delegate of Raysia. Might I ask which entity or nation is graced with your presidency?"

He hoped to himself that all the introductions today wouldn't be so arrogant and pompous as to assume you know them already by name... but nonetheless he proceeded with the usual small talk.

Jack, the guard, simply stood by a few feet to his left, holding his arms straight and a faint smile on his face. He remained quiet unless spoken to, leaving his role as a mere guard to be presumed by any onlooker.

Kate thought for a split second to put it in to a rather nice explanation. She smiled softly responding in a soft sweet and diplomatic tone of voice.

“The Terran Alliance is what we call our nation, we are a multi system representative Republic populated by mainly humans, but we do have some halflings, and a large number of sentient AI in our country. We are generally a peaceful nation unless attacked. We wish to engage in peaceful endeavors and wish one day to live in harmony with all that know us.”

This was a text book answer of course the TA did want to live in harmony but it knew it was a long ways off. Kate was rather diplomatic about it her voice often soothing and sweet when she spoke, she was much younger than Santiago, she was only 32. She was also dressed in a well ironed suit. He blue eyes seemingly telling at least one thing about her, she was gentle and caring. Her gaze locked on to the male before her she blinked a few times smiling.

Santiago smiled at the delegate responding in a soft yet professional voice that could be carried.

“Yes we have had dealings before, I have read the reports and I must say I do admire your nation so. I only wish we didn’t have destructive empires at our door every second then we could truly be free of weapons of war and terror. I’d like to purpose sometime down the line that we formalize relations in some sort of way. As for our AI tech believe me they are as much a part of us as we are a part of them. ”

Santiago Chuckled at the joke by the Senator, he smiled politely at him and bowed as well taking the hand with his right hand as he came up and shaking it quickly he responded.

“Perhaps we do, we are all of course human. I am from the Terran Alliance it is an honor to meet you and our old friends” He said obviously referring to the Myenyans .”

This was turning out to be an interesting conference indeed. So many new nations so many people to talk to and run about with.

Fu'ldi resisted the urge to snort; he, along with the rest of the ellecen, frowned upon textbook responses; and her's clearly was. Peace was impossible across the galaxy, especially if humans inhabited it, as proved by the observations of Terra. So many wars over so little. He quietly sighed at the thought; it appeared only his race truly strove for peace, which was why they served as the diplomats of the Confederation and - in pre-Confederation times - were the neutrals in conflicts who sought to end it.

"Expression of interest. Halflings reside in the Terran Alliance? It ponders me if they are perhaps related to the hobbits of the Confederation, technological tea-drinkers who battle the gnomes in 'technoduels', as they wittingly named them," he spoke via his tentacles. "Question. Shall I tell you of the Sethras Confederation?"
"Assaulting the portal leading to your future social life."
"Don't care about anything; become a sociopathic misanthropist Warcraft addict."

Kate placed a hand on her chin and responded with a soft nod to the delegate.

“Halflings are small furry creatures often black, but we have white and multi colored variants as well. They where gifted to us by a long extinct empire as cheaper labor, but as we outlawed such practices and have more efficient methods such as automated production of goods, we set them free and they have ever since become a wonderful faction within our nation, they are slightly smaller than humans but not by much. And yes please tell me about your home land my friend; I am interested in hearing about it”

She indeed was and it was obvious she wanted to know everything about these people that she could aliens where so far and few in between around the outer Orion sector.

The senator nodded and smiled, then excused himself to walk towards the group of ellecen. Speaking to one who was not currently engaged in conversation, he sparked up whatever he could. "I don't know about you, but I have never felt more appreciation to be on the ground in my life. This is my first trip to a foreign world... Please allow me to introduce myself, I am Jason Capsule, Senator from Raysia. Who might you be?"

This was going to be very awkward, trying to start up small talk and introductions with people of new cultures, but he smiled and did his best to make it as unawkward as possible.

Jack, the bodyguard, widened his eyes at the sight of the Ellecen, thinking to himself who let the herd out? Wow...

"Explanation. The Sethras Systems are a large collection of planetary systems in the Milky Way galaxy, inhabited by a wide vareity of creatures - from the warrior orc such as the two guarding me to the happy-go-lucky dawn elf to the merchant dwarves. Several centuries ago, the Confederation Documents - which founded the Sethras Confederation - were signed by most of the Systems' nations, though a few outsiders remain. The Confederation is more of an intergalactic organisation in goverance, due to the loose power wieldings of the Confederation and the great racial and cultural diversity which prevent full union," responded Fu'ldi calmly. "My race, the ellecen, are a diplomatic, peaceful race who are often labelled the 'gentle giants' of -"

He was interuppted by a duo of humans, a politican type and a bodyguard beside him. "Friendly greeting. Salutations to you, Senator Capsule. I am Serene Principal Aras Fu'ldi of the Sethras Confederation, racially ellecen. Question. I believe you may recognise me as an elephant-like creature? Fear us not, we are unlike elephants; we are intelligent lifeforms, for example."

One of the orc guards, covered from head to toe in his ragidian armour with a laser spear in his grasp, kept one eye on that human duo; they didn't entirely trust humanity, for some odd reason.

Kate turned to look to the senator bowing softly with a smile.

“Greetings there, I am Kate Maryland, secretary of state of the UTA”

She quickly glanced up at the giant enthralled in the specter of that entirely different history and culture she had been told about.

Catching on quickly, he bowed to the Ellecen, "Expression of joy; I am always pleased to meet new people in all forms. You are correct in assuming I am aware of the elephant... We Raysians are Terran in origin. Ellecen should be fairly easy to remember for that very reason. Again, nice to meet you."

The senator turned to Kate, and without skipping a beat, said repeated the phrase exactly as he heard it, as a way of tricking himself into remembering her name. "Well it's nice to meet you, Kate Maryland secretary of state of the UTA... I am Senator Jason Capsule, of Raysia. Are you here with Mr. Santiago, the President?"

Jack still stood in awe of the massive Ellecen, amazed at their intelligence... this time more with a child's smile. "Cool..." he said, quietly to himself. He turned around to check on his escortee, taking a pair of shades from his coat pocket and placing them over his eyes.

A chuckle emitted from the being's tentacles. "Explanation. Terra natives and other races are not required to state their type of statement before they speak it, that is limited to us due to our primary interspecies communication being via body language, and thus, in order to make communications with our fellow races as easy as possible, we state our type of statement before our actual statement. Polite statement. It is good to meet you all today."

As Jack was engulfed by an immature smile, muttering a human slang word, the ellecen laughed heartily, bowing his head at Jack. "Question. What are you wearing over your eyes?"
"Assaulting the portal leading to your future social life."
"Don't care about anything; become a sociopathic misanthropist Warcraft addict."
