It has been made official that, inevitably, machines are, and will become, more efficient than human beings. Thus, a tide rises with the philosophy that proposes that not only are machines better than humans at processing material matters, but also social, economical and political matters. Ultimately, machines will replace humans to govern over such matters, and thus form an unique political system. Mechanocracy.*

What is a Mechanocracy? It, from literal terms, is a portmanteau of the words "mechanised" and the suffix "-cracy". As the term for a political system, it has all the other derivatives of a "-cracy", such as "mechanocrat", "mechanocratic", etc etc etc. It, by the very components of the word, refers to a state/political system in which is ruled and ran by AIs/robots/automatons/infomorphs/ whatever you call them. Such a governing system regards machines superior at managing matters like this than organic humans/ponies/elves/dwarves/whoever created or are ruled by them, whom are restricted by organic animal boundaries causing them to be unable to make always the perfect choice. Machines on the other hand, designed for jobs that organics can not do, will be perfect for it.

Most AI-ruled states out there tend to not define them as mechanocracies as in their cases, machines are fully integrated members of society and are not viewed as a particular social group like technocrats or oligarchs. But the line is not very strict, and as long as you are ruled by machines in any form, whether liberal democracy or an oppressive dictatorship, join our hands in the League of Mechanocracies. We shall organize all Mechanocracies out there in the Multiverse, and form a strategic cooperative of both ideological and material interests. We will together discuss on issues of politics, advancement in technology, and form an alliance stronger than steel in which we support each other mutually no matter what hardships come. And kill those technophobes who think machines should be banned. Mwahahaha. Our edge is indeed sharper than bismuth however, and as the quote above says, even SACTO keeps away from us, well probably because bismuth-crafted T-800s are even harder to manage than commies. Anyway...

Five Principles of the League of Mechanocracies.

Unlike those boring organic organizations who have a full "charter" or "manifestos" up to millions of words long, we have condensed our aims and principles into our very own Pancasila. These principles will be the core ideology the League revolves around.

• Mutual cooperation, unity and defense among all Mechanocracies in the Multiverse. Mutual assistance between member states is mandatory, whether through ideological or material means. This will also form a defense pact in which one aggressor that dares to attack any member of the League, will be met with full response. An attack on any Mechanocracy in any point in the Multiverse will also be combatted. The League also encourages unity among Mechanocracies, so that bickering and infighting will be eliminated as results of organic animal disadvantages.
  
  
• Promotion of the Mechanocratic System. Member states will and should recognize the efficiency of Machines, and effectively promote a political system of Mechanocracy in the Multiverse.
  
  
• Mutual respect regardless of anything. Some members may promote machine superiority and thus discrimination, or have prejudice against other ideologies. Please respect all other member states regardless of that, or anything else. We are all Mechanocracies, and there is no true way of ruling with Machines, or how ones under them should be treated. Discrimination against particular species are not appreciated here as well.
  
  
• Furthering and promotion of Technological Advancement. Hey, without technology why would there be Machines? Material, technological progress from a positive side that materially benefits is always in line with social progress.
  
  
• Crushing of opposition to Mechanocracy, as well as Technophobia. We will act against the very ones who deny our right to exist, and we will do so by denying theirs. Ones who see us as inferior or as their tools will be also labelled enemies. Those who are technophobes (as in our definition as ones specifically opposed to the emergence of information technology/technology involved in sentient AIs, but this also applies to hypocrites who oppose any tech and don't realize that the wheel is also a technology), whether for religious or 'moral' reasons must be crushed for opposition to the inevitable streams of time as well as the Idea of Progress.

TL;DR: What's a 'mechanocracy'?

Shame on you you don't even bother to read! Anyways it's any nation/state governed by machines. Likely AIs or robots. Fictional examples include the real world in the Matrix series as well as....hmm....machine-ruled states are not very common and are quite unique.

What is the purpose of this alliance?

Well I got bored- er, I mean, as cyber-ruled states are not very commonly seen on NS, I felt like this may help in bringing all of them out and getting our AI rights recognized.

Does the LoM have to be featured in my RPing?

Of course not necessarily! It's up to you whether it is mentioned or not.

I'm confused whether the ruling individual of my nation is a machine or not.

When this happens, we typically use how 'machine' is defined in that nation's own culture. Yes, there are biomass machines. But saying humans are organic machines is a no-no obviously. If even that doesn't work, we'll take a deeper look on whether you are or are not.

My nation isn't ruled by machines, but I'm looking forward to joining!

Sure you can! Maybe in some time in the future you can become an actual mechanocracy, but for now we also accept people who appreciate mechanocracy, for both full-members and observers.

Automatons have the same rights as all others that are considered people. They can do as they like, but must submit to the authority of the throne and whatever represents the throne. Mindless drones, no matter how powerful their intellect, are not considered people. This goes for both the mechanical and the organic.

There was a hiss, a crackle, and a 'fwoosh' as a vortex of blacks and silvery whites appeared in the room designated as the 'great hall'. It's position was conspicuously convenient, with the "back" of the portal directly against a wall. Either the room on the other side of the portal was in total darkness, or one couldn't see through it without special equipment.

The incessant sounds of space being warped to fit the needs of mortals was disrupted by a rhythmic clanking. The origins of the sound were rapidly revealed as an Alexandrian skulked through the gateway. They were at least seven feet tall, and adorned with red robes that didn't go particularly well with the black, reflective power armour that added another half a foot to their height.

The metal being seemed to assure itself of something, then cocked it's head to the side. On cue, six more automatons marched out of the gateway before it snapped shut. One of them was smaller than the rest, and considerably less intimidating. It was human shaped and sized. The only thing that kept it from looking just as squishy as a human was some considerably slimmer power armour. This smaller creature voiced a question to nobody in particular, and it did so in butchered Latin. "I require an explanation."

Do machines have full rights in your nation? Please explain. Of course. We are the majority species here by far. And all
lifeforms, cybernetic or otherwise, have equal rights here.

Reason for joining the LoM: We agree with most of your policies. However, we disagree with discrimination against non-machine species (We consider it to be just as bad as the common discrimination against machines), and we are pacifists, meaning that we cannot join a proper military alliance.

This is why we are an observer instead of a full member; we cannot engage in direct combat, even against the technophobes that deny our personhood. We intend to fight them on the battlefield of ideas, not on the battlefield of weapons. As, we wish to prove how truly good artificial lifeforms are, by dropping the immoral and primitive instincts geared towards violence and discrimination present in many biological lifeforms.

Are you willing to abide by, as well as agreeing with, the LoM Pancasila as well as the Rules? Of course. With an exception of violence against the anti-AI technophobes. We will do our best to win them over with logic and reason instead of lasers.

There have been some attempts to extend basic rights to them, but they're too utilitarian to really understand the concept.

The Pancasila, or whatever, needs some editing:

These principles will be what we act based upon for all cases, and, will be the core ideology the League revolves around.

Just read that out loud. It doesn't make much sense. I recommend just saying "These principles will be the core ideology..."

This will also form a defense pact in which one aggressor that dares to attack any member of the League, they will be met with full response.

Eliminate the "they". It isn't neded, and makes the sentence both confusong and grammatically incorrect.

Attack on any Mechanocracy in any point in the Multiverse will also be combatted.

I recommend saying "An attack".

The League is also to promote unity among Mechanocracies, so that bickering and infighting will be eliminated as results of organic animal disadvantages.

The sentence would sound nicer if it said "is also encouraged to promote unity".

Member states will and should recognize the efficiency of Machine, and effectively promote such a political system of Mechanocracy in the Multiverse.

Make "Machine" plural, and eliminate the unnecessary "such".

Material, technological progress is always in line with social progress.

This isn't in need of editing, but while I was here I'd like to bring up a point: Is this not always true? It seems like technological progress is not always in line with social progress. The Nazis developed many new technologies that made killing people more effective, and I don't consider that social progress.

Ones who believe us as inferior or as their tools will be also labelled enemies.

I recommend replacing "believe" with "see". "Believe us as inferior" doesn't make sense.

Technophobes whether of religious or so-called 'moral' reasons must be crushed for opposition to the inevitable streams of time as well as the Idea of Progress.

Suggest: "Those who are Technophobes, whether for religious or moral reasons, must..."

I'd also like a definition of "Technophobes". My nation has no qualms about developing deadlier and deadlier weapons, but I can see some pacifist nations may be fearful of advanced weapons technology whole embracing other tech.
