Litterally two words and it's fixed. As to talent, you can always practice to gain said skills. Rome wasn't built in a day afterall.

Sorry, art skills may come natural to some, but it doesn't for a lot of people. It's difficult enough for me to draw a stick figure, never mind a fully detailed soldier.

By the way, be more clear with the application please, it simply says picture, no mention of an optional description instead.

Linearting involves you, MS Paint, and a drink. Look around here. If you can use a mouse, you can use this.

That's a reasonable statement to a certain degree, but NS is a recreational activity. I'd be surprised if someone genuinely was "bad" at art in the sense that they would constantly create worse art than someone who had put equal effort into learning, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if someone just didn't like creating art. Because NS is recreation, it doesn't matter whether someone can do something, what's essential is whether they want to do it.

So the question, is "is an image so essential to PW that we should exclude the people who don't want to make one".*

Hey this sounds exactly like me. Except for the fact that Cong if people create art outside of stuff that can be used on the computer. The transference onto a computer form is much more difficult and doesn't really show the beauty. I mean you might say pictures blah blah blah. However I've always felt like if I saw a picture that was taken of art and transferred online. It never really felt as real as seeing the art in person. I don't know if it's just me, but if art is created online it's felt realer than if it's a picture taken. On a side note of that. I really want to know what everyone is using to make those bad ass pictures of characters because they're badass 1. and 2. I'm trying to find a way to finish my re-application so I can use golden legion to their greatest potential. Now the question is should they have gold on them at all times. Like a small piece or something. Opinions people?

Gold would be expensive. Have their legion flag/shield/whatever coated in it or something. As for pictures, post a link and I can probably tell you how they did it.

Biography of Warfighter: During the rise of His Majesty, Crow the Second, the military went through a reform of sorts. All the organisation was changed, and The Sections came about. One such section, was Section 4. They are in charge of all internal affairs, and will also occasionally leave the confines of Vancon and venture out to find what had caused a problem in the Capital. They normally are used in counter-terror ops, but if that terror involves assailants from another country, they will move out and find them, no matter where they are. Section 4 also deals with the protection of high value targets and other people of importance. They do occasionally assist the Royal Guard, but it is not their first priority. This department also acts as a sort of SWAT force when not otherwise deployed.

Organisation: Nine man sections with three man support groups in a Mk. XV nearby. Lead by a Sergeant, the team consists of Corporal as second in command. The rest are Lance Corporals, seeing as a private simply doesn't have enough experience. They form up into Platoons of four Sections with their respective Bishops. These are then lead by a Platoon Sergeant, and then four Platoons will be headed by a Lieutenant. Very rarely are these grouped up to such degrees since normally they act independently to the rest of Section 4

That is called Lineart. It's made by using MS Paint, Paint.net and the like. Ask some questions about it on the page I linked you, and you'll find a way. Here's some things that I made recently:





Some people have made templates, some people will make it for you. Ask nicely for help and you'll get it. I know a guy who'd draw dudes up for anyone as long as you gave him a couple pictures and the weapons they used.

I do what any person who can't into lineart does: I find a good linearter here on NS and have them make one for me.

I believe you made linearts of my standard infantry, Van. And Versails, if you know him, made lineart for a tank we developed. I just lack the mental cohesion to be able to code and draw lineart correctly, for some reason.
