I seriously doubt he's going to make the roster but I'm just thrilled to hear that he's back.
Anyone think he has a shot?

Camp fodder, most likely.

most likely. Imagine if he ends up second string and due to injury he starts and 2011 happens again

He is a terrific player! Since when is a Heisman trophy winner "not that good"?

His first year at Denver looked a lot like Peyton's first year there, and Manning was given a better supporting cast.

The Jets totally misused him.

I can picture him as a double threat, the way Kordell Stewart, "Slash", of the Steelers was before he got injured.

I don't hate Tim Tebow, I think he's a good guy for showing his religious side. But I don't like him. He's meh, to me. I hope he does well if he's given a shot.

Considering the lack of talent at QB on the Eagles' roster, I could see him making the team as the 2nd string QB. He had the uncanny ability to win in Denver, even if his abilities are questionable.

Those guys were all terrific players. Just because they did not have successful professional careers, doesn't mean they don't have considerable talent. Some were never given a proper supporting cast. Even Peyton would have been a bust if he'd been throwing to Darrius Heyward-Bey and Chaz Schilens his whole career. Others didn't have skill sets that translated properly from college ball. Regardless, if you are good enough to win the Heisman, you are not a bad football player. Period.

You forgot Johnny Football, last season was laughable

One season, thre starts, does not make any player a failure. Peyton Manning threw 28 picks or somewhere around there as a rookie. Blake Bortles was less than adequate when he was thrust in to the starting role. Bortles was not ready, nor was Manziel. If Manziel has a legitimate bad year, then label him as a bust. One year simply does not give a player enough time to find their rhythm.

As for Herschel Walker, he wasn't a bust. He had more than 12,000 total yards in his NFL career. Ricky Williams was a very successful running back with 12,000 total yards (not including return yards). Perhaps Walker didn't live up to expectations, but there is no denying that both were successful players.

Right. It is unfair to declare that a guy has "no talent" when he has earned this honor.
One serious problem for these guys is that they get drafted by failing teams. Often the team organizations are bad through and through (like the Browns). Often the owner and GM like to draw season ticket holders by getting new coaches and QBs every couple years, without building the lines, and without drafting receivers who can make plays and who are willing to block downfield.

Johnny manziel is not a bust. He doesn't have a good offensive line (with the brown), and every time the wide receivers caught the ball (in the bengals game) or got the balls in their hands, they would ether drop it, or get hit.
