A Path of Military Weapons Manufacturing
Zeus Defense Industries, or the Z.D.I., started out in 1744 as a firm that manufactured cannons for the Army and Navy of the Second Empire. At the time, they were called 'Zeus Armaments'. Zeus Armaments started out well with both the Second Empire and the Federation of Atlantica (and later the Federal Eastern Union), selling armaments to both sides of the decade-long civil war. As the Federal Eastern Union turned out to be victorious, the company established a stable weapons market in the Federal Eastern Union, which was consolidated further through the industrial revolution, technological advancement and expansion of businesses.
As the 20th century started up, Zeus Armaments, now into both land systems and ships, officially changed its name to its current name, Zeus Defense Industries (Z.D.I.). Sometime in the 1920's, Zeus Defense Industries went into the aerospace industry, one of the booming industries at the time. Using the booming aerospace industry to its advantage, Zeus Defense Industries became one of the largest military-industrial complexes in the Federal Eastern Union, rivaled by almost no other corporation in the Federal Eastern Union.
However, in the 1960's and 1970's, Zeus Defense Industries started to lag down a bit, following several defeats in military contracts for the Federal Eastern Union Defense Forces and other international forces. When Zeus Defense Industries started to make less profit than ever before, the company went through massive reforms and expansions: forming a system of Z.D.I.'s subsidiaries through the establishment of Zeus Aerospace Industries and Zeus Maritime Industries, expanding onto new markets and introducing new marketing tactics and products. It had also put greater emphasis to R&D than ever before - something that is emphasized in Z.D.I. to this day. Due to such efforts, Zeus Defense Industries started to rise once again, becoming one of the largest military-industrial complexes in the Union once again.
As of July 2015, Zeus Defense Industries stands as one of the largest military-industrial complexes in the Federal Eastern Union, taking up a significant portion of arms procurement of the Federal Eastern Union Defense Forces. However, it remains challenged by several other companies - Seawalker Industries, Kronos Inc., Zaphod Industries and so on. Nevertheless, the role that Zeus Defense Industries plays on the Federal Eastern Union as one of the largest defense corporations remains huge.

Restriction Levels
The problem with many weapons is that they often fall to the wrong hands - the weapons intended to protect the freedom of the people and sovereignty of a nation often fall to the hands of those who oppress and devastate. To prevent this as much as possible, Zeus Defense Industries maintains a policy of Restriction Levels, which restricts the products one could buy.
Restriction Level 1: Exportable to almost any nation. Sales most likely approved.
Restriction Level 2: Restrictions apply - checking of background, alliances and so on conducted.
Restriction Level 3: Prohibited for export in dictatorships, mercenaries, questionable allies. Deep checking of background, alliances and so on before exports are granted.
Restriction Level 4: Exportable only to International Northwestern Union nations, nations from regions holding embassies with the INWU, and allies of the Federal Eastern Union.

- Zeus Defense Industries retains full rights to deny an order partially or fully without certain reason.
