The UFC-MIS War

<<Welcome, nations of Altereal, to my first war RP! As you can see by the title, this is the war between the United Front Confederation and the neighboring Mansuriyyah Islamic State.>>

The Story So Far: The UFC's eleven component factions all have stakes and territories within the UFC's borders. Leader of the UFC, Commander Scott Ibrahim rules his people evenly, and tries to offer fairness among the factions. However, some factions are not as ready to accept Ibrahim's rule as others are.

The territories some factions control have little natural resources or arable land to farm, leaving them dependent on their allied factions. In a mindset where each faction must be self-sustaining in case the UFC falls apart, this cannot be tolerated. Protests and riots are breaking out among the people due to this grievance; The fact that their home factions are unable to provide for their people. Commander Ibrahim knows his first choice of calling for support from foreign nations will only temporarily solve the problem. What the UFC needs is land, land with farming fields, with natural resources, possibly even access to the ocean, a luxury the UFC doesn't have.

To accomplish this goal, Ibrahim looks to the West, where the looming Islamic State leans on the UFC's borders. Scott must make the only decision he can: Unify and rally the people by declaring a state of aggression against the Islamic State with the goals of securing resources for the people. He begins to mobilize what forces he can, but will it be enough? Will the scrappy, under-equipped soldiers trained from years of infighting and guerilla warfare be enough to take on an established entity like the Islamic State? Only time will tell. Time, and the graciousness of a select few world superpowers...

Fort Jahari Military Command Center, Outside of New Islamabad, Neutral Territory, UFC

Commander Ibrahim Scott leaned over a table looking down at a tattered map of an area in the northwest of the UFC, along the border of the Islamic State. Scott stood up and looked around the concrete room at the dozen or so others wearing military uniforms and nodded, sighing in an attempt to exhale his demons.

The leader of the nation felt more like a father looking over several squabbling children. New Islamabad was the UFC's capital city and was immune to inter-troubles of the eleven surrounding territories. To the outside world, any member of the UFC was considered a Baghi, a fighter. However, inside the United Front, most Baghi acknowledged their ethnic divisions along the territorial lines. Scott himself was Caflan by upbringing, a fact that many of his associates from the Alliance would like to remind him of everyday. Across from Scott was his second-in-command, Lars Kherry. Kherry was a Woolwarkian, but he was a good man.

Scott pointed towards the map to get the attention of those around him, "This is Livertean territory. Will the Monarchy allow the Confederation's military forces to go through their land? If not, that means we need to attack from a different location. We could attack through the Karish Syndicate's land, but that means we need to push northward inside enemy territory. It'd be best if we attack straight there. Is this alright?" The question was diected towards the Monarchy's representative.

The Livertean chewed his lip, Crown Prince Felipe. He put a tender hand on the table. "We... Aren't adverse to the idea. However, that does mean that a counter-attack is possible into our territory. I'm not sure my people would be open to bombings and invasion by the Islamic State, and I'm not so willing to risk my militia's lives in defending a war of your starting, Commander."

Scott groaned inwardly. Just like a Livertean: Soft, oppurtunistic, untrustworthy, unwilling to fight. "Fine. I can swear to you that if you offer the Confederation's military to move through your land fast enough, an Islamic State counterattack will be pushed away, meaning your people and precious militia will be safe from respite." Crown Prince gave a hard stare to Scott before nodding slowly, giving his permission. Another permission to be made by the squabbling child who saw his part's worth as more valuable than the whole.

~Five Days Later~
Near the Border of the Islamic State, Livertean Monarchy Territory, UFC

Good thing most of the military forces controlled by the United Front's government were professioanl troops which were already ready to be mobilized due to the state of the nation. Less than fifty miles from the border of the Islamic State stood nearly the entire active UFC military: Two infantry divisions, a mechanized infantry division, and an armored division. All in, almost 25,000 troops were scattered along a roughly thirty kilometer string at the fifty mile mark along the border, ready to move forward at the first order to go. Already near the border were a company of special operations troops, almost a hundred and fifty of them had moved up to within five kilometers of the border, watching over the border for a moment of weakness, but it seemed that for now, the coast was clear.

The Crown Prince had overseen the movement of the military into his territory. Felipe had already recieved verbal reports from the forward ranger company and looked at the divisional commanders sitting in the tent with him. Livertean Crown Prince Felipe looked at the four divisional commanders: Felipe nodded, "Pack it up. Move forward. Your mechanized in front, followed by infantry, then Armored paired with the other infantry. Go." The divisional commanders scattered to start ordering their soldiers. The Crown Prince, one of eleven territorial leaders of the UFC, had just ordered the invasion and beggining of a war between the United Front Confederation and the Mansuriyyah Islamic State.

[OOC = I wrote this post just before you posted your second post, but I don't think it affects the timeline]

It was a cool, cloudy morning in Al-Mansurah city when Seyda Muhammad Salih Al-Amedi left the Great Mosque after the morning prayer. As he approached his car, Jalaluddin Shahranpouri, the chief of Mansuriyyah’s Intelligence Agency spoke to him.

-Assalamu alaykum sir, there’s something I’d like to discuss with you.

Seyda Muhammad Salih stood for one moment, observing the man in front of him. His expression was serious; whatever he has to say, it must be something urgent. He never liked the kind of “news” that Jalaluddin brought him.

-Wa alaykum salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. Yes, please come with me. We can talk on our way to the Government Offices.
-Thank you sir. I’ve received some disturbing news from our informants in the United Front Confederation. They informed that Commander Scott Ibrahim, may God curse him, is mobilizing troops and preparing for a military offensive… against us.

For one moment, Muhammad Salih stared, breathless, at Jalaluddin’s eyes, as if he didn’t understand what he said, then said:

-Subhanallah! Are you sure about are? Are these informants trustable? I find it very hard to believe in it. The Confederation never posed a threat to us before, our relations have been so far cordial and both of our people benefit from trade between us. Do you have any hard evidence of what you say?

-I’m sorry sir, but this is a very pressing matter. The security of Mansuriyyah, and more, of the Muslims, is at stake. If there is a minimum possibility that this information is true – and I believe it is – then we should act. I advise a preemptive strike against the Confederations, let’s destroy their capacity to find before they can deploy a single soldier!

Seyda Muhammad Salih paused for a moment. He closed his eyes and produced a wooden tasbih from the pocket of his jubba. His lips barely moved while he recited his inaudible litany. A few minutes later, just as they arrived at the Government Offices, he opened his eyes and said:

-“Wa qatilu fi sabilillahi’lladhina yuqatilukum wa la ta’atadu inna’llaha la yuhibbu’l mu’tadin” Fight against those who fight against you in the way of Allah, but do not transgress, for Allah does not love transgressors. If there’s going to be a war, it’s not going to be us ho will initiate it, we will not incur in the wrath of Allah subhahu wa ta’ala. Whoever, you are right: as the leader of this nation, no, as the leader of the Muslims, it is my duty to strive to protect them. I will call the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces and order him to be alert and start mobilizing troops, especially air-defense. InshaAllah all of this is just a mean rumor, but if it isn’t, we shouldn’t risk being caught by surprise. Thank you for your services brother Jalaluddin, you may go.

As they left the car, Muhammad turned and looked at the morning skyline of al-Mansurah city, and silently prayed to God, asking guidance and strength for the dark times to come.

"Hmmm." Xavier Aducid stared at the papers, stroking his neat and minimalistic beard. The freshly printed papers on his desk, four in total, each had the two familiar printed approval stamps in the top right hand corner of the paper. One had the Iverik emblem on it, with the blocky, utilitarian-shaped letters encircling the emblem spelt out "WE THE PEOPLE" with a nice fit. Obviously it was the official approval stamp from the Party. The other approval stamp was that of an M95Z assault rifle (the Empire's standard issue rifle for both police and military units) titled to the right and an impressive sword facing to the left. They were crossing. And in the background was a block with the same blocky utilitarian letters this time saying "STRENGTH, UNITY, PRIDE". Obviously, this was the approval stamp for the Iverik Ministry of Strength. Which dealt with warfare, foreign espionage, and foreign diplomacy. It also dealt with border controls, more specifically stopping anyone from entering illegally, with the internal police and Ministry of State working to stop anyone from illegally leaving. What a shame though. In reality, the gun was a strong yellow, the sword was a blood red, and the block was pure black. Such magnificent colors. However the ink was always black with a blue-tint, never showing off the true potential of the Ministry's emblem.

Xavier studied the papers, learning of an impending conflict almost right along the border of the Empire. The United Front Confederation was the aggressor in this case, vying for land. Regardless, it was obvious that this could indeed benefit the Empire and gain us a valuable ally. Xavier Aducid, being a director of the Ministry of Strength, was one of the highest ranking officials not only in the ministry but also the Upper Party as a collective. He himself has even met the ominous RAC council, the oligarchical council that rules over the Empire, several times face to face. Xavier has even gained a favorable a opinion from them. Originally several years ago when deciding a new director for the Ministry of Strength, one of Xaviers direct rivals was planned to take the position. However, roughly two weeks before his announcement as director, it was discovered that he actually committed treason! He was actually conspiring with the Iverik Freedom Resistance (IFR), and was sent to a forced labour camp where shortly later he was shot and killed in a failed escape attempt. Strangely enough, even someone like Xavier Aducid with such a position in the Empire, never had the right to see or know of the evidence that proved his rival was working for the IFR. The IFR is a mystery. Xavier never actually saw any of them in person, never knew of any conclusive evidence towards their existence, only saw of them in State-approved newspapers and such. Several of the supposed "agents of the IFR" that have been detained and executed have never actually confessed in person to the existence of the IFR. Only State papers claim that after extensive methods, they whispered of the IFR's existence which a camera luckily heard or they did something else. Regardless, it was not in Xavier's position to investigate the nature of the IFR. That was a job for the Ministry of State.

Someone else walked into the room. An woman, seemingly to be in her later thirties, sat down on the chair across from Xavier with a copy of the papers in her hands with the same two approval stamps in the top right hand corner. "Have you read them yet?" She asked. Her name was Noemi Dy. She had nearly the same amount, if not more power, than Xavier inside the Ministry. She always was to-the-point, never allowing any eccentricities or off-topic chatter to occur in her presence. Noemi secretly scared Xavier. She never seemed happy, but she never seemed to be in a depressed state either. About the only time she would ever show any real emotion was during national pride rallies, the end of speeches, and other patriotic holidays and celebrations. During then, she displayed impressive feats of pure nationalistic pride. She showed complete love and adoration towards the Party and the SFS, complete approval of the purges and deportations of fascists from our rightful homeland, she showed horrifically bitter hatred toward foreign enemies, the IFR, and personal contempt towards Ernost Ryckov (the supposed leader of the IFR even though Xavier never saw a photo of him, nor ever see or hear him). Xavier stared off at the dull, grey, rough walls that always felt like cement.

"Hello?" She flicked her fingers in front of Xavier's face, keeping her emotionless face.

"I apologize. I'm just very tired, but uh, yes I did read the papers." Xavier responded, forcing a half-fake yawn onto himself.

"Work isn't the place to sleep. You're expected to be efficient and hard working, comrade. Inefficiency will allow the fascists to exploit us. Anyways, the Council has approved it. They're-" Xavier cut her off.

"Wait, what?! They already ok'd it? I didn't have to make a presentation about it? I didn't have to go talk to them? They're already on board?" Xavier was ecstatic. The Empire as of late has fallen into a period of peace, with his term as director of the Ministry of Strength being rather forgettable and not very notable. This was his chance! If the director won this war, he would easily score another term in the higher ranks of the Ministry. And what better? Theocratic Fascists! The Lower Party public will eat this up! Death to Fascism! Death to Theocracy! Xavier exclaimed inside his head as he quickly pulled a pen out of his desk drawer.

"They gave you the final permission to sign the war into effect." She said. Hell, there was even a smile on Noemi's face. She knew Xavier would approve it.

Quickly, Xavier Aducid signed his full name on the paper. "Now, first thing's first. I want you to send out orders. Began mobilizing our military and with the permission of the Ministry of Supply, transition our economy from a 3rd degree wartime to a 5th degree wartime economy. " Noemi left the room with his orders. After confirming that this legitimate with the Council in a video conference, Xavier wrote up a message to the UFC which was approved by the Ministry of Strength.

Hello. We have recognized that the UFC has been militarizing amongst the Islamic border.

While we have not officially announced it yet to either the Iverik public nor to the Islamic State, we are technically in a time of war against the Islamic State. However, we will only announce our support for you and our military aggressions towards the Islamic State when you begin to advance into their land or they attack you. Keep in mind you are our ally in this conflict and while you are quite evenly matched to the Islamic State according to our military statistics and details, they will be crushed with the combined strength of the UFC and the Empire. We can open up a second, make the Islamic State fight a two-front war. With their forces cut in half, they will not be able to effectively repeal either of our sides. And with you having a direct land connection to them, and we having an extremely short naval distance to travel, distance will not be an issue.

We await for your reply. Thank you.

Border between UFC and Mansuriyyah.

Corporal Umar ibn Zaid, from Mansuriyyah Islamic State’s Border Patrol, observed the advancing column from behind a hilltop. It was a scorching, dry morning.

-They are just too… many. At least 20 thousand. I can’t see very well because of the cloud of dust that they make, but I’m pretty sure they have armored vehicles. They look like a damned army! Give me the radio, I must inform this to the headquarters immediately…

Some time later, Government Offices in Al-Mansurah City.

Seyda Muhammad Salih was reading some economy reports in his office. It was a simple room, with sparse decoration, just a full bookshelf just behind his low desk; he liked sitting on the ground. Someone knocked on the door.

-Please come in.

-Assalamu alaykum. Sorry to disturb sir, but there is an urgent call from the military commander of the province of Zahedan.

Muhammad lowered his head and sighed

-So that is it… it seems that Jalaluddin’s informant was right…
-Sorry sir?
-Oh, sorry, please transfer the call, I’ll speak to him.

Seconds later, the phone rang. He immediately picked it:

-This is Muhammad Salih speaking.
-Assalamu alaykum sir, this is General Abbas al-Sabbagh.
-Wa alaykum salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh General. Please, be direct.
-as you wish, sir. A few hours ago we received a report from the Border Patrol informing about unusual movements on the border with the United Front Confederation. Our estimative is that between 20 and 30 thousand men have crossed the border. They apparently have heavy vehicles with them, probably armored cars.
-In other words, an army.
-Yes, sir.
-Jazakallahu khayran General. Your orders are to mobilize all your troops and stay alert. Mount defensive positions but don’t engage them. Send forward observers to gather intel about them, where they are headed too, and more information about their composition. May God bless you, Assalamu alaykum General.
-Wa alaykum salam sir.
After hanging the phone, he called his secretary.
-Mahmud, please call War Council. Immediately.

One hour later, at an undisclosed bunker.

Gathered in the spartan, concrete room, were Mansuriyyah’s highest military officers and strategists. Amongst them, the Commanders of the Army, Navy and Air Force, the Joint Chief of Staff, the chief of the Intelligence Agency, and a couple of highly trusted civilian specialists. All sat around a rectangular concrete table. A huge flat screen, showing a map of Mansuriyyah’s border with the UFC, occupied most of the left wall.
General Abdurrahman al-Arfaj, Joint Chief of Staff spoke:

-As you know, this morning a scouting party from the Border Patrol sighted suspicious border movement. As far as we know, they are a force between 20 and 30 thousand strong, mostly infantry with some armour, crossing from Livertean territory into the province of Zahedan. We are sending forward more scouts and reconnaissance drones to find out more about them.
-Any idea why they are invading us? – asked Muhammad Salih
Dr. Abdullah Johnson, lean, tall man with red hair and goatee spoke:
-The Confederation is very poor in natural resources, and lacks the infrastructure to properly extract what they have. …. Province has relatively easy access from their border, its coastal area and valleys are rich and fertile. They probably are looking into territory to expand, in other words, vital space.
-They must be really desperate to invade us like that – replied Muhammad Salih – what is their military capacity?
Jalaluddin Shahranpouri stood up and went to the screen.
-Each of the eleven members of the Confederation is entitled their own militia, their size and composition varies a lot. Besides, the central government has its own troops. They have extensive experience from years of guerilla warfare, but are under-equipped.
-Are we sure that it’s their federal army and not some rebellious faction that’s invading us?
-Our informants are positive that it is Ibrahim Scott’s doing.
-Sir, by the size and composition of their forces, I don’t think it is just a rebel faction.
-In this case, I have no other option than declare state of war against the United Front Confederation. I want all Army divisions and Air Force wings ready, also activate the Reserve units in Zahedan province. I will send for their ambassador and deliver a message to Commander Scott. If we destroy their invading army quickly enough, more civilian lives will be spared.
Jalaluddin abruptly rose from his chair and interrupted:
-Sir, I strongly suggest that we attack New Islamabad. In a few hours we can carpet bomb them and send the Special Forces to disable all their government and command and control structures. This would not only destroy their capacity to fight, but also show the world that we don’t accept being attacked. It’s time for strength, not compassion.
“I…” Muhammad paused. Wrinkles formed on his forehead as he seemed to reflect. “I’ve made my decision. We will deal with them in a moderate way. If we just destroy what little government and infrastructure that they have, this will just motivate further aggressions in the future. We must show them the greatness and magnanimity not only of our nation, but of our faith. We won’t accomplish this by bombing then to the stone age. Now if you excuse me, I have a letter to write.”

Seyda Muhammad Salih quickly rose from his seat and left in a fast pace – something unusual of him. When he arrived at his office in the bunker, he produced a paper from a drawer in his desk and grabbed a pen
To: Commander Ibrahim Scott
From: Seyda Muhammad Salih al-Amedi.
Bismillah ar-rahman ar-rahim.
Remove your troops from our territory immediately. This unprovoked act of aggression won’t be ignored and we will react accordingly. This is your only chance of retreating. Turn back now, and the lives of your men as well as your citizens will be spared.

After the Great Soviet Republic of Vladislav heard about the invasion of Mansuriyyah Islamic State by United Front Confederation, the President, Vladislav Dzheyms immediately called for a meeting this afternoon.

Presidential Place Meeting Room, Mokatopol, Nisanov

The meeting was composed of military and government officials, in a round room. All of them are listening to a speaker describing the event in a large map of United Front Confederation and Mansuriyyah Islamic State projected in a board.
"I think all of you know about this."
"The President wants to be involved in this war, since we are also dealing with Islamic terror groups in our nation, seeking to end this conflict as fast as we can."
"We can declare war on Mansuriyyah and our terror groups here." he added.
A government official stood and began to oppose the speaker.
"We can't. We must keep peace while we can. Destruction of this nation is enough." he shouted.
The President looked at him.
"Insurgency is one of the problems here in our nation that's why we must end it now. Democrats, nationalists, we end them all and now time to eliminate our last enemy." stared at the government official like a beast.
"What if Mr.President we mind our own business, declare war on Islamic groups here instead of declaring against Mansuriyyah too?" suggested by an army officer.
"If we declare war on terror groups, Mansuriyyah can attack us. They will start to think that we are a threat to them" defended by another government official, siding with the President.
"And that's why we must declare war against them also." added by the President.
"All right gentlemen, it seems this small talk now ends. You may now do your own work." the President grabbed some papers and left the meeting room.

Presidential Palace, Office of the President

"Ms.Veronika, I want you to send this letter to the the United Front Confederation telling that we support them in this war. Immediately, please."
"Yes Mr.President"
The President grabbed his phone and called the Minister of Defense.
"Good evening Minister, since you can't attend the meeting earlier, I want to tell it here or maybe some officer told it to you?"
"Good evening too Mr.President, Yes. I knew it from a military officer."
"Alright, do you agree with me Minister?"
"Well, I think it's the right choice to end this conflict now, but we will be labeled by the world as war mongers."
"Don't mind what they say it's for our sovereignty, they have threaten us, Islamic groups."
" Since we are far from United Front or Mansuriyyah, I think we should support them with air attack or we can deployed forces from Ground, Navy, and Airforce to United Front and attack Mansuriyyah."
"And Mr.President we should hide that we are going to this war to avoid immediate attacks from Mansuriyyah."
"Good idea."
"Also Minister, don't also forget that we are dealing with our own also."
"This is a risk Mr.President, Islamic groups we attack, Mansurriyah attacks or vice versa."
"Do you consider declaring war on one group then another?"
"Declare war on Mansuriyyah first. We can repel this rebel attack since they don't much military equipments."

In the early hours of the dusty, gritty swirls of sand and muck plagued outside. Along the maritime border of the Socialist Federative Iverik Empire and the Islamic State, mass Iverik war ships have been prepared. Entire divisions of up-to-date Iverik war tanks and whole divisions of infantry marched proudly on to their war vessels. With the Iverik anthem "Hail our Fatherland" along with bursts of propaganda. Propaganda telling the valiant Iverik soldiers of the oppressed working class of the Theocratic State. Horrific tales of a nazi-esque fascist government boomed through the loudspeakers, telling the Iverik people that the Islamic State was planning to rape their women and children. How they were planning on wiping out the Peoples' Socialist Revolution, they planned to mass brainwash our children to the lie of Allah, how they would hang and boil and skin our brave soldiers alive. They planned to annex us and conquer, to commit mass genocide for their Capitalist wants of mass exploitation. How could those sand-cave living muslim terrorists dare try to bring their fascism to the Empire? The EMpire that's simply trying to keep the peace within itself. The colonels and captains pleaded out that the Islamic threat must be dealt with! They must be crushed! Death to those isalmic Fascists! All glory to the peoples' revolution!

The plan on the other hand was simple. There would be two main offensive fleet, each one possessing several combat war ships that would cover the peninsula, which would allow for Iverik transport ships carrying tanks, infantry, and aircraft to quickly land on their beaches and move up.

The plan:
Image

The black dots representing the main Iverik offensive fleets, they will first move in and clear out the direct peninsula. From there they will split in half and secure the main water way, defending a constant path for the Empire to continuously pump more soldiers, planes, and tanks into the Islamic State. Thankfully, with the directing Party of the Empire realizing shortly after the Cold War that consumer products had to have a constant shortage to prevent the infection of capitalism from developing, the Empire had something known as a "Two-Thirds" or sometimes "Three-Fourths" war economy. Essentially, the Empire always maintained a war economy to a great extent. Constantly building more tanks and firearms, constantly training and retraining soldiers to ensure their full potential is reached. With the constant production of tanks, along with the constant scrapping of mildly out of date tank and the recycling of parts to update tanks, the Empire's army was in up-to-date standards. Not only did this ensure the full might of the Empire, but it also ensured that the labour power used in such a wasteful and unnecessary policy would be used for just that; a wasteful and unnecessary policy. The labour power that could be used to actually improve the wealth of the Empire would ultimately make the masses too comfortable, therefore too intelligent, and would sweep away the ruling Party. Ultimately, instead of using that labour power for food production which would help ease the almost constant food-shortages, or using it to make objective books about the true nature of the Empire, or to find out a new technique to make work more labour-efficient, it's instead used for constant production and deconstruction of tanks, the mass production of propaganda in all forms (movies, TV shows & cartoon, low-grade video games, music, posters, speeches, documentaries, even comic books), and the technique of making the police more efficient and developing even more high-quality, cheaper cameras to take an unrelenting eye on the masses, and to keep an eye more so on the Upper Party. The highest ranked members of the Party were the ones that were watched the most.

The war fleet of that began to make the initial charge at it's front had several cruisers along with a frigate. Below the waters were multiple submarines, which took a more reconnaissance approach to the objective at hand. Farther back in the fleet was the true muscle of the force; two Iverik aircraft carriers with the support of corvettes. Currently, the Empire could only support three aircraft carriers, with a fourth one currently under construction in far off waters and the third one staying back. This fleet was massive, and definitely could've taken on anything the Islamic State could throw at it and with support of the Vladislav coming, we easily would gain the naval dominance. What was more interesting, was this fleet was not going to take on massive swathes of water. This assault and defence of a supply line is going to be extremely concentrated. The Iverik Offensive fleet began to sail in an attack formation. The Iverik transports were still waiting at home ports, firsting waiting for the offensive fleet to clean out the Peninsula and gain a defensive positions before they made their move. There was no point in risking infantry lives at sea.

This is the Socialist Federative Iverik Empire's official declaration of war on the Islamic State. We have already began to dispatch our forces, and in support of the UFC and our mighty soviet allies of Vladislav, we are officially in a state of war against the Islamic State.

If the Islamic State accepts defeat now and accepts our full terms for their defeat, we shall back down and carry on. Refusal to declare your self defeated will result in Iverik invasion of the Islamic State. There is no need for any true bloodshed. Admit defeat now and accept our terms. You have been warned.

Novokalatsch, Russlavia - Fortress Ivan

In a secretive meeting room, sat the Premier and his premierial cabinet at a square, wooden table. The Minister of Defense, Dmitri Bogodukov, was stood up discussing the current situation.

"Comrade Premier, our agents in the field have reported that the United Front Confederation, the Iverik Empire, and our ally the Vladislav Federation have declared war on the Mansuriyyah Islamic State. The most reasonable reason for this invasion by the United Front is as follows - they require a connection to the sea to boost their economy, which is, according to our records... not looking stable, and Islamic State areas bordering the UFC are quite heavy in resources." said Bogodukov, while pacing back and forth in front of a large digital map of the world, zoomed in onto the UFC-MIS border.
"As we can see here," pointed Bogodukov, "this area connected to the sea is likely to be attacked. And, on the subject on the Iverik Empire, we do not know why they have declared war. Most likely simple imperialist ambitions. How should we react, Comrade Premier?"

Premier Ivanov stood up and nodded at Defense Minister Bogodukov, to signal him to move aside. "You say that the UFC is invading out of desperation, yes? Our first course of action should be to fortify our borders against potential strikes, with particular mobilization on our borders with the United Front, and then we deal with our so-called "allies". If there is one thing you know, my friends, it is that the Iverik Empire is a warmongering, imperialist hellhole. They act as a force of revolution, but indeed, WE are the only true revolution." The Premier let out a wide grin, an undeniable sign of his nationalism and the strength of his beliefs. He was adamant in affairs like advancing the superpower status of Russlavia and unity between the Slavs.

"Premier Ivanov, with all due respect, will this not damage our relationships with some of our allies? They may perceive the Mansuriyyah State as a staging-point for terrorist strikes on their nations, or an oppressive islamic regime," stated Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vladislav Stechkov, crossing his arms as a symbol of his disapproval on the plan. There was a feeling of worry deep inside him. Years of carefully cultivated foreign relations could be ruined by this one move, and all for what? Gaining some land up north?
Alesya Kaspar, the Minister of Energy and Resources stood up with a blank expression on her face. "I agree with Comrade Stechkov, the reactions to our assistance of the MIS could be unpredictable and dangerous." Alesya had the right to agree with Stechkov. Nations could cut off relations, and trade, but with the upcoming union between Russlavia, Ordoxia, and Suvorovskaya would render these disagreement moot, since the 3 nations could reasonably sustain themselves.

The arguing had some silent cabinet members either shaking their head in disgust, or nodding with approval at each statement.

"Now wait just a moment. If we happen to invade the United Front, we could convert their non-arable land to arable land, we can use that for agricultural purposes! In addition, we put the MIS in our debt and can prevent further Iverik expansion." Alexey Voronin, the Minister of Agriculture, sat up in his chair. "Less pressure from the east leaves forces able to repel the Iverik invasion. We can secure an unconditional surrender if we are decisive enough." The Russlavian economy was mixed, but seemed to be heading towards an agricultural nation with new efforts at making farming land.

"Now, everyone, let us focus at our primary objective - fortify the borders. Since we all seem split, we shall discuss this at a different time.. But it remains, that we must have our borders fortified! You are all dismissed. By the end of this week, there must be at least 80,000 readied troops on the UFC-Russlavian border. We cannot have refugees slipping into our country."

Velståendevekst,Treko-High-Chancellor Oskar Frej

The conference room I was in was rather quiet even though multiple heads of state were sitting in the room. Around at least 15 the last time I counted and none of them made a sound for what we were about to do would be considered the most heinous crime in Treko....Treason. With the war in Mansuriyyah escalating it was obvious that the victor was not going to be Mansuriyyah but the three nations against it and soon to be forth once the government of Treko issued the plan. I gave one last look over the people sitting in the conference room before giving a sigh and rising from my chair and walking over to the white board that sat on the wall before us. There was an entire plan laid out on the whiteboard and to look at it almost made me regret being elected as High-Chancellor.

"You all know why we're here and I'm sure you're all feeling the same way." I said looking over the heads of state who avoided I contact, "We are going to set off explosives in the Coalition Council building and evidence found after will point straight to Mansuriyyah."

"What of the current Mansuriyyah citizens living in the country." Asked one of the heads of states.

"Well, with the current feeling towards Muslims they will be on the receiving end and this will give us cause to kick them out of Treko once and for all." I replied, it was silver lining in this plan we had created. For many years citizens of Treko resented outsiders and more so Muslims that came in. We would finally be rid of them and not allow their to return. The plan would be perfect but the fact we were willing to blow a portion of our own capital building was the stab in the back. A small wave of nods came from all the heads of states as they agreed to the plan and began looking towards me for the side plan that was to go with the final. "After we leave this room I want troop build up along the border with Ordoxia and Navy build up in the isolated northern territory. Once we have gathered 15,000 troops we will begin the para-drop campaign in Mansuriyyah. The navy will sit off the western coast and launch a multitude of air campaigns against the enemy army." I licked my lips and placed the marker on the lip of the whiteboard before nodding one last time to the heads of state before leaving back to the palace.

As I made my way to my own personal car I could see the other already in a hurry to leave back to their homes. I was sure that I was the last to leave the federal building for I watched everyone come out of the building and none had gone back in. While scouting out the inside through the windows I could see staff darting back and forth getting everything in order for the mission. A few stopped and looked back at me for a few seconds before going back to their work like a normal day.

Novokalatsch, Russlavia - Fortress Ivan

A slender man with a neutral expression on his lips, and a glimmer in his eyes, elegantly dressed in a general's military uniform, walked into the cabinet's conference room, meeting the Russlavian Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Premier himself, standing and talking about some random sports happenings to pass the time - the slender man, Dmitri Bogodukov, Minister of Defense, didn't know what to think of it. He wasn't much of a man for sports, but he did enjoy nature. So much, in fact, that he took occasional trips into the wilderness when he could. It thrilled him of dark green meadows, entire bodies of water filled with varieties of wild animals, the smell -

"Comrade Bogodukov!" shouted Premier Ivanov, in his usual upfront and enthusiastic style. "As usual, you made it here so quickly on such short notice. Anyways! Me and Tovarisch Stechkov have been here talking about the future.." Within a fraction of a second, the Premier turned to his serious look. "As you already know 3 nations have already declared war on the Mansuriyyah Islamic State, the Iveriks, our Vladislavian allies, and the small nation up north, the United Front Confederation." Stechkov stood quiet.

"I do know this well, Comrade Premier. Our spies have been quite useful. I reflected on the situation earlier, and seeing as the Islamic State is in a strategic location, giving access to a few seas, there's no doubt that we must befriend them and repel the invaders," said Bogodukov.

"Don't forget holding much natural gas and oil," exclaimed Stechkov. "This is one great opportunity for us. Entering the war is essentially a win-win."

"Which is why we brought you down here, Dmitri. Within 48 hours, we will be declaring war on the Iverik Empire, and the United Front. As for the Vladislav Federation..." The Premier trailed off.

"Well, we can always deal with them later," said Stechkov. "After we show our military might in the UFC, they will surely de-escalate the war." He said this with a burning grin. There was nothing better the cabinet liked to hear than their efforts of their military paying off. "Speaking of escalations, how is the progress on the mobilization you were told to supervise, Tovarisch Dmitri?"

Bogodukov took in a deep breath, and began to speak in a speedy fashion. "According to the latest readings, at least 600,000 troops have reinforced the borders of our nation, not including at least 120,000 of combat-ready soldiers on the Russlavian-United Front border. It also appears we have at least 315 tanks, 71 aeroplanes, 38 helicopters, 117 self-propelled artillery, and 900 other armored vehicles with those troops." He exhaled after reading it from a small paper he unloaded from the pocket of his pants.

"Excellent news. Continue to build up forces and we will soon have a capable army ready to destroy in no time," said the Premier. "You are dismissed, both of you. Go, and bring stability to this troubled world!" The Premier let out a slight chuckle.

After a long day of talking and confirming that everyone was doing their intended jobs, the Premier grabbed a pen and began to write out a letter.

Subject: Russlavia's Impending War with the United Front Confederation
Encryption: ARCHANGEL

Greetings,

The cabinet and Premier Maxim Lavrentiy Ivanov of the Russlavian Socialist Federation would like to inform the top government officials of the Socialist Kingdom of Ordoxia and the Federation of Suvorovskaya, that, within 48 hours, Russlavia will DECLARE WAR ON THE UNITED FRONT CONFEDERATION and the Russlavian Armed Forces shall engage in combat with the United Front.

The Russlavian Armed Forces would greatly appreciate assistance to accomplish the ultimate objective of relieving the Mansuriyyah Islamic State from invasion, who our intelligence confirms to be at war with 3 separate state actors. Said state actors are the following: the United Front Confederation, the Socialist Federative Iverik Empire, and the Vladislav Federation.

In addition, the cabinet and Premier advises all Ordoxian and Suvorovskayan officials to vacate the country of the United Front Confederation to prevent their harm from the combat that shall ensue after the Russlavian Socialist Federation declares war on the United Front.

*In a command bunker somwhere near Ordoxnigrad, 8AM.*

The King was walking trough the hall which had armed military guards on each four meters. As he approached them they saluted him, and he saluted each of them back. After a few minutes of walking and turning left and right, he saw a big metal door and two soldiers standing guard in front of it. As he approached them, they saluted him, and one of them opened the door, letting the King in.
Inside was a big room, full of desks, all kinds of machines, big screens on the walls showing all kinds of maps, live satelite videos, OSS and other.
The room was full of people which were sitting by their desks, talking to someone on the phone, doing something on their computers and other machines and reading and writting files.

One of the men in military uniform who was the first to notice the King yelled: "Atteeention!" and everyone in the room stopped what they were doing, stood up and saluted the King. He saluted back and walked towards the middle of the room. It was quiet until he sat on his chair in the middle of the room, to a table where the Premirer, Minister of Armed Forces, Minister of Foreign Relations, several Generals and men in suits wearing diferent tags were.
As everyone sat and got back to their work, King Dusan Pasic looked at the Premier: "I hear we have quite a few very important news this morning. There's no better way to start the morning than with important news."
The premier smiled up and said: "Yes sir. Russlavia sent us a message, they are informing us that they'll interfear in the war on the side of the MIS."
Pasic smiled: "Okay, so that little formality is done. Send them a special operation team, along with... General, how soon can the equipment arrive in Russlavia?"
One of the Generals looked at the King and stood up: "Well sir, i'd say with all the preparations, and time needed to travel and deploy... About seven hours sir."
The King smiled: "Perfect. Send them some anti-air weapons, including jammers, then some long-range artilery with their defense systems, mobile radars, and... What ever else you see fit, but don't go overboard with it."
The General stood up, ready to leave: "Okay sir. Expect the detailed report within the next eight hours."

As the General walked towards the door, the King looked at the Foreign Minister: "Open the direct secured line with the USE council and Suvorovskaya and Russlavia."
The Minister nodded, and got ready to leave, while the King said to the Minister of the Army: "Put all men on third degree alert. Set in the artilery and navy and air defense. Be ready to fire at the command, or return fire immediately. And double the military guards of the borders, we don't want any uninvited guests in our country."
The Minister smiled: "Of course sir. But i doubt anyone will be able to cross the traps and minefields, just to get to our wall. And then cross another set of minefields, to get to another wall."
All men at the table smiled, and the King leaned back at his chair: "Now, let's get trough the plans, shall we?"
One man in the black suit nodded, tok out a map and placed it on the desk.

“…As the Armed Forces and the Government prepare for an imminent invasion from the Iverik Empire on Shawa Province, inhabitants from the towns of Ma’arib, Zabid and Draman rush to evacuate their homes. Due to the strategic position that these cities hold, their populace has been asked to leave their homes…”

“… they are sons of pigs and apes! Let them come to our shores from their filthy beaches, let them cross into our borders from their caves, for we, the servants of the Almighty, won’t let them pass! With His permission, glorified be He, we will either exterminate them or make them bow to us! They will never gain a centimeter of…”
*click*
Suddenly the flat screen TV went blank and silent. Seyda Muhammad Salih couldn’t stand hearing the news anymore. He was well aware of them, even before it aired on TV. He also couldn’t stand the fiery preaching of some popular self-righteous imams, inciting the populace to hate and fear. These seemed to be the only two things airing in the last few days. He looked at the myriad of flasks and tablets in front of him. Since the Shura, the Islamic State deliberative body elected him six years ago as Mansuriyyah’s Amir, its leader; his health has been deteriorating fast. And with all of this war and invasions, it worsened tremendously. Now he had to take several medicines a day, while he barely used to catch a cold before: insomnia, gastritis, high blood pressure, chronic headache…
Two knocks on the door erased these thoughts from his mind
“Please come in…”
“Assalamu alaykum sir”, greeted General Abdurrahman al-Arfaj, as he endered his office. “All units of the Operational Reserve have completed mobilization, as well as all Home Guard units in Sharwa and Zahedan Provinces. Mobilization in other regions range from 75 to 90% and shall be totally ready in less than 48 hours”.
“Masha Allah General, thank you very much for informing me. How are the preparations in Ma’arib, Zabid and Draman?”
“All units are already in position and the anti-aircraft artillary is ready to intercept any aircraft that comes into range. The engineering units are working day and night to prepare the battlefield. Explosive charges have been placed on bridges and highways, mines have been placed in the enemy’s most probable paths, fortifications build and several caches placed in strategic points. Local Police forces are doing their best to evacuate all non-combatant personal, but some people insist to stay. Some simply don’t want to leave their homes and everything that they have behind, and others, especially young men, are planning taking up arms and fight.
Muhammad sighted “how do they think they are going to fight? Iverik isn’t a High School bully; they are an Imperialistic nation with a well trained and equipped expeditionary Army. You can’t fight them with hunting rifles and pistols! They are just going to stay in the way of our troops”.
General Abdurrahman crossed his left arm on his chest while supporting his chin on his right fist. “Sir, they aren’t going to leave, and if they are going to put their lives in risk, we could at least give them the minimum capacity to survive…”
“What are you proposing, General? Arming them?”
“Exactly that, sir. I know it might sound that we the military do not care about them, but, the fact is that they just won’t go away. So instead of just watching them die like flies, or even harm our operations somehow, we can hand them weapons and give some bare minimum militia training to them. If they are going to die – and, sir, they are WILLING to – they could at least take a few with them.”
A few years ago, or even just a few days ago, these words would astonish him and be vehemently dismissed. But now…
“Well, them, and how do the Military plan on arming them?”
“We have thousands of decommissioned, but still perfectly useful assault rifles and other small arms. Many of these men have been conscripted in the military before; we can give them a refresher course, and issue them with a rifle, ammo, grenades and a basic kit. Do I have your permission to issue the orders, sir?”
He stared at the General for a minute, then turned on his chair and looked thru the glass window of his bunker’s office. He could see the war room, with its gigantic screens, soldiers and civilian specialists briskly walking in and out. He tried to foresee the results of his actions, but he couldn’t. They were facing a war on two fronts against three enemies. Nothing is his life had prepared him for that. He was just a scholar, a teacher. He wasn’t a warrior, a strategist, or a statesman. He only had his faith to support and guide him…
“Give the orders” he said without turning to face the General.
“Immediately, sir”
“One more thing, General. I want the Air Force to bombard the UFC’s supply line. Let’s cut their resupply/retreat routes. I want a list of all their military and strategic structures within range of our aircraft. It is past time that we reattribute their unprovoked invasion of our territory. And… call the other Commanders. I want to know our options to strike Iverik forces before their land. If we can’t stop their invasion, we can at least delay it.
The General saluted, “As you command, sir”.
Muhammad Salih sat still for a few minutes on his chair, observing the movement in the War Room. He picked up his phone and asked his secretary to call the Wazir of Foreign Relations. Shortly after, a big, robust man with a rounded waist with a perfectly ironed white ghutra on his head entered his Office.
Image
“Assalamu alaykum sir” he said as he extended his hand, “how can the ministry of Foreign Relations help in the war effort?”
“Wa alaykum salam. We have three nations against us. That is not good, we can’t fight this war alone. We need allies. Trustable allies, willing to send troops and shed blood with us.”
“That’s… very chivalric, sir. But I don’t think we will convince other nations in helping us with tales of bravery and brotherhood in battle. They are well aware that we have been invaded, and so far, only the Russlavian Federation moved to help. We need something more… substantial to offer them.”
“That’s correct. I want you to send envoys to Ordoxia, Suvoroskaya, Kuil Tiras and Storalia, to discuss the terms of an alliance.”

Velståendevekst,Treko-High-Chancellor Oskar Frej

"Today I stand in front of you as normal citizen of Treko and a person who is equally afraid as you are. It was today that our TSOC units tried so desperately to apprehend a Mansuriyyah radical who detonated his explosive payload within the Coalition Council building. We have lost many lives of our citizens and of our troops. This unprecedented strike against us has made up the minds of the Trekkish people and the world of Islam. They have shown us that they mean war, but I assure that Treko will not turn away from this." I shouted, my eyes looking down on the group of people who were massed around me and sobbing in their hands. They themselves not knowing that their own country had did this to them. "We are prepared and always will be. This nation has prided itself on abstaining from war even in a culture were it was deemed normal. It is now that we will show these people of Mansuriyyah the true meaning of pain and scorched earth..." My voice trailed off as I looked outwards again towards the mass of people who came to listen to my speech. The security was rather lax despite the event that unfolded early today. Though, with the amount of troops being moved to the border to prepare for the para-drop campaign there was no need for more security.

I licked my lips and prepared for the end of my speech, "It is with the end of this speech that I solemnly swear to make this nation bend the knee to us." It was with this sentence that the crowd transformed from a somber tune to a unified roar of patriotic duty to ones own nation. This almost brought a smile to my face but what I had allowed certainly stopped the smile from forming.

As I descended the stairs of the platform I was quickly flanked by my security and escorted back to my car, but a figure was waiting by it. The figure waved as I got closer and even opened the door to the car and sat next to me before throwing a folder into my lap.

"Nice speech, High-Chancellor, but onto bigger things." said the uniformed General

"Ah, yes...the war. General Thalfingen we should really meet in a regular conference room rather than secretive car rides from one place to another." I responded, my hands slowly opening the folder to look at the contents.

"Those are always the boring meetings, Oskar." the general gave a slight chuckle before looking at the folder, "During the end of your speech we managed to finish rounding up the troops. You said 15,000 but I went with 30,000. I have also alerted the navy in the south to protect the South-Eastern peninsula and the islands."

"I didn't ask for 30,000 but I am no lord of War so I'll go with your judgment in this." I stated, "Also, why the navy in the south?"

"War is war, you never know what will come and bite you in the ass later." He replied with a slight chuckle.

I nodded to him before grabbing my phone that had alerted me to a message, "It seems the Coalition Council passed a declaration of war against Mansuriyyah and it has been sent to them along to the other nations against them."

General Thalfingen nodded in approval. "The invasion will be ready within a day or so. We're just waiting for the naval fleet to get into place."

Office of the President, Mokatopol, Nisanov

President Vladislav Dzheyms, called his military advisor early in the morning to discuss important matters regarding the war between United Front Confederation and Mansuriyyah.
"Good morning, advisor." greeted by the President.
"Good morning too, Mr.President." replied by the advisor with a smile.
"We don't have much time, we should discuss things fast."
"I'm sure Mr.President that you know that we are far from United Front Confederation. It will take us 9 hours to arrive."
"I know it."
"Since the enemy is not attacking our allies we should start moving to Iverik Empire."
"Our forces finished mobilizing last night, all of our military branches but not much in the Navy because it will take them too long."
"I guess we should focus a little more to our Air Force."
"That's why we prepared many of our stealth aircrafts. I'm sure the enemy have many radars to use."
"Also advisor, don't forget that we have to mobilize our forces inside the country to prepare from future enemy attacks."
"Mr.President, we will move by night."
Vladislav Dzheyms nods as a sign of approval.

-After 2 hours-

Vladislav Dzheyms called Ms.Veronika, his assistant to send another letter.
"Good morning Mr.President." said with a smile.
Vladislav replied with a smile too.
"So, Ms.Veronika, I called you again for another letter but this time for the Iverik Empire, tell them that our forces will arrive tomorrow by day and to standby at their land. I will also send a general to discuss the strategy that we will use."
"Yes, Mr.President."
Work in progress!!

Near the city of Belogarodsk, a city near the UFC-Russlavian border  - Base 37

Among several vehicles and systems of Ordoxian origin stood 7 men dressed in officer uniforms of Russlavia, all admiring the support they had received from Ordoxia at these times.

"Hmmm.. This will be very useful, we will be able to stomp our enemy more, ahaha!" With that, the other officers started to laugh. This was less of a humor laugh, and more a nationalistic-type laughing.
"They'll be heading to hell, heaven, wherever, and they won't even know what the hell even happened! 'Wait, I died?!'" The laughter became even more raucous than it already was. After a brief period of heavy laughter, the noise died down.
"But seriously, tovarischi, we must put this to good use. Now.. I want you to get your spare men and get them educated on how to use this stuff. Got it?"
"Da, comrade general!" 5 officers out of 6 standing in front of one officer, higher rank than the others, saluted and then scurried off to comply with their orders.

"Sir?" asked the remaining general.
"Yes?"
"We have received information that Ordoxian special forces are ready to serve for us. They have established an HQ nearby and we have a secure channel established to Ordoxian high command."
"I know of this already. I have already confirmed their first task, my comrade. About a day or two after the war starts, they shall be behind enemy lines - sabotaging what they can, and will generally try to be... a nuisance. Now, carry on. You have soldiers to command."
"Yes, sir."

FURTHER SOUTH FROM THE BASE...

"Marshal, kommandeer! Here is the latest report on troop deployments." A young woman in her mid 30s and a navy blue dress uniform, which included a snug skirt level to her knees, a peaked cap, coat, and white gloves, approached one of the Russlavia's finest tacticians, and one of the 2nd most supreme military authorities - Marshal of Russlavia, Yuri Semyonovich Vasilyev. The young aide handed him a paper, stamped with the Russlavian High Command's emblem. He quickly read through the words he saw - what was more important were the numbers in a small chart at the bottom..
"At least 160,000 troops... 413 tanks... 46 attack helicopters..." he mumbled to himself. Within less than 24 hours, he would be leading these forces against the United Front. He cared not of political interests, he was only here to fulfill orders and bring glory to his nation and it's brave military.

"That will be all, my dear. That will be all." Vasilyev took a seat and proceeded to run through the document he was handed, and analyzed it. The aide walked out of the room, making audible footsteps as she did so.

The Marshal smiled after rereading it, particularly the deployed forces. Some of the soldiers going to war were hardened and trained. It seemed a Russlavian success was assured. To himself, he whispered his thoughts of the situation, "We must only bite once, because we aim for the throat."

Half A Kilometer From MIS Border

The armored division slowed and ground to a halt with the mechanized division close behind it. The infantry troops sighed with relief as they were finally able to stop the fast-paced marching that they'd been holding up for the past few hours. Most of them even ignored standing or even greeting the commander of the forces here as he walked by them.

Captain Lars Kherry, assistant to Commander Ibrahim himself, stood off to the left of a group of five as they walked forward, moving towards the border out ahead of the UFC troops. The man in the center was dressed in a uniform that was adorned with medals and a maroon-colored cap. Kherry himself was dressed in the tan and beige rags and armor of a UFC infantryman, so as not to raise suspicion about his leadership. The group of five soldiers walked up to the "official" border between the UFC and the MIS, or rather, a rough medium point between the UFC's military force and a set of low hills where a UFC IFV commander said he saw a head pop up with his binoculars. The man dressed in a nice uniform carried a letter with him and intended to deliver it to the closest MIS military or government member so that the message could be sent to their leadership.

The man carrying the letter knew he would appear as an officer in a sniper's scope, but his trust in the UFC's military was enough that he would sacrifice his life to give a message in the name of peace. Whether or not the Islamic State soldiers cared to spare his life or not was up to them. Hopefully, their commander here would recognize the act for what it was: An act of communication.

Fort Jahari, New Islamabad, UFC

"Commander, we've recieved a comunication from the Islamic State. I've printed it off... Here, sir." The young corporal handed the message to Ibrahim Scott, who read it before sighing.

Scott looked the corporal in the eyes, "Make no reply. We shall ignore the message for now. I'm putting my trust in my second-in-command Kherry to do what he sees as fit on the front line. We've worked together for years, and I trust the Woolwarkian with my life." The aide nodded and saluted as he walked off, only to return a couple minutes later.

"Sir, we've recieved two more messages. One from the Iverik Empire, stating their intent to assist our invasion of the MIS and crush the MIS. The second message is from a Security Division outpost to the south, in Peuntian Territory, reporting that a mounting Russlavian force seems to be building up on our border. What.... What shall I say, Commander?"

By this time, Scott was sitting in a chair and was leaning back, his face covered with his hands as he leaned away from a table showing the region with pieces denoting military units and movements. "Send a simple reply to the Iverik commending their support and offering thanks and a hopeful outlook on the situation with their support. Be sure to mention the Russlavian aggression on our borders as well, the Iverik would love to hear that, since out of the Russlavians, MIS, Iverik and us, we're by far the weakest nation. The Iverik might move against the Russlavians.... As for them, by the way. Send a message urging them to halt their aggressive advances. We can't take them on, and they would probably know that by now if they know we've moved our entire military force against the Islamic State. All we have left is the Security Division, which is not a military force... They'd be able to move right into the capital and pick me up out of this chair. So, send a message urging them to not attack and instead wait it out. I'm guessing they want to siddle up next to the MIS for resources, well, if they let us win, we'll gladly offer them a piece. Be sure to hint that in the message." Scott uncovered his face and looked at the aide, "Did you get all that, child? Move, now, before the Russlavians shoot you!" The corporal started as he turned to run for the door to the communications room. All the while Scott leaned forward in his chair to observe the table. He pulled out a few pieces and placed them at different points on the table before sighing again. He noticed he'd been doing a lot of that as of late. Starving people and angry, squabbling leaders did that to a man.

*On the press conference of the Premier*

Reporter: "And what will be the government's stand on the alleged terrorist attack in Treko?"
The Premier smiled: "Our policy is, as you know, not interfearing in the business of other countries as long as they don't pose a threat to us. Altough we don't see any benefit MIS would have from this attack, on the contrary. They are currently in war, and the last thing they want is another enemy."
The same reporter stood up: "So are you saying that MIS didn't perform this attack?"
Premier smiled again and said: "I'm saying that there is no evidence whatosever to support that claim. To deny common sense you need very convincing evidence" preparing to leave.
Several reporters rised their hand, but the man in a black suit tok the microphone: "The Premier will not be taking any more questions, thank you."
Everyone stood up and started packing as the Premier exited the conference room with his entourage.

20 kilometers above the straight between MIS and Iverik
Image

Somewhere in the sky, two UAV’s from MIS Air Force were flying, above the sea. Their sensors captured the horrifying view of Iverik’s attack fleet; a massive conglomerate of attack ships. As one of the planes continued forward, hoping to reach Iverik’s shores and be able to capture images of sensitive positions or troop movements, the other UAV turned around, to fly over the massive fleet. Many kilometers away, in a secure control room, its pilot hoped to obtain more details about the enemy. As it approached, but before he could survey the entirety of the fleet, the UAV’s sensors warned that it had been spot by the fleet’s air defense sensors. Instead of retreating and save millions of Dirhams worth of aircraft, the controller advanced the UAV above the fleet, in hope of gathering as much information as possible about it, as the ships below prepared to launch their SAM missiles…

Frontier between MIS and UFC
Corporal Umar ibn Zaid observed though his binoculars as the 5 men advanced roughly towards a hill that they had used as observation point a few hours ago. There were four armed men, plus one wearing what seemed to be a high-ranking officer dress uniform, complete with medals. That, definitively, wasn’t the most sane thing to do in the battlefield, unless you wanted to draw the enemy’s attention.

“Corporal”, called Private First Class Usama Makinde, while aiming through his scoped rifle, “I’ve got the General guy on my sight. Shall I shoot?”

The Corporal look at them with his high-powered binoculars again. They definitively called his attention. The UFC might not have a well-disciplined, standing army like theirs, but they are hardened veterans. Definitely there was something some behind it than a stupid officer General asking to be killed by a sniper.

“No. Don’t shoot. Just keep an eye on them, and if they try to shoot me, kill them”.

“Shoot… you? What do you mean, Umar?”

“I’m going there. I’m going to take a closer look. Maybe it is a trap to find out if there is any sniper in the area, maybe it is something else. I have to be sure. Usama, keep your sight on the “general” there. The rest of you, assume a defensive position and keep a low profile. Be ready to retreat.”

Umar opened his pack, looking for something white to put on his four wheeler’s antenna. All of his gear was camouflage or tan. He could only find one white thing…

A few minutes later, down in the valley…
Image

The sound of a motor engine preceded its appearance from behind a rift between two hills. A single, tan painted four wheeler came into view, carrying a man in uniform. On the top of its antenna there was a long, flowing piece of toilet paper. The man slowly approached the group UFC soldiers, coming to a halt about 100 meters before them. He dismounted his vehicle and started walking in their direction. He was wearing a pair of mirrored glasses and, albeit having a rifle strapped on his chest, he kept it pointing down, as if indicating that he isn’t a treat. What they couldn’t see from the distance, were his sweaty forehead and trembling hands, indicating his fear and apprehension. He stopped about 50 meters in front of the group and said:
“I’m Corporal Umar ibn Zaid, from MIS’s Border Guard. Who are you and what do you want?”

MIS’s territorial waters
Image

Admiral Yunus Aydin looked through the windows from the Jabbar, MIS Navy’s biggest aircraft carrier. Even though being the biggest, its maximum capacity was only 50 aircraft. They also counted with two other smaller carriers – including one old carrier, from the Navy Reserve – and several cruisers, destroyers, attack submarines, corvettes and even a few battleships. Nevertheless, it would have to serve. The Navy’s whole third and fouth fleet, with the exception of a handful of smaller vessels and submarines that were left to patrol the coast, together with the 7th and 8th Air Wings from the Air Force, would be involved in the operation, each of them attacking the enemy on one flank. Of course, it was a desperate measure, but they couldn’t afford letting Iverik’s armies land impune on its shores. If they couldn’t defeat them, they would at least delay them enough to the Army solidify its positions. There was also another reason behind their attack, a reason that only the admiral and those above him knew: their operation would also serve to deviate the enemy’s attention, so they could infiltrate a group of Special Forces behind enemy lines without being detected.

“Sir, the Air Force liaison Officer just informed that their aircraft are in the air. They should make contact with enemy forces in a few minutes.”

“Give order to ready the missiles and make our aircraft ready.” The admiral ordered to be given access to the speakers; there were some words he wanted to say to his men before the battle, “Brothers, the time to face the enemy has come. We are facing a terrible enemy: Godless, honourless, imperialist scum. Heed my words: they cannot pass! We are the last defences of the Islamic Nation. We are the wall between them and our homes, our families, between Good and Evil. If we fall… our homes will fall, the dignity of our mothers, sisters, wives and daughters will be taken away, the word of the Almighty will be erased from the land! WE MUST FIGHT! Let’s give no rest to the enemy, until they find rest at the bottom of the sea. What has been written by the Pen of Allah cannot the unchanged; if today is our time, then there is no escape. Thus, have no fear, brothers, and fight as if it is your last day on this Earth! Remember that the Paradise rests under the shade of the sword! May God be with us all!”

Valley Border

The five troops stopped as the Islamic State soldier introduced himself from a distance. Captain Kherry glanced at his compatriots and silently signaled for two of the soldier to stand back, weapons down while he, another trooper, and the dressed-up "officer" walked on towards the soldier. The group of three quickly crossed the distance and stopped, the dressed-up soldier proffering a sealed envelope to the Islamic State soldier. From his side, Captain Kherry watched the area behind the Islamic State trooper, gripping his rifle tightly. He was expecting a sniper attack on the dressed-up soldier. The UFC's central government had grown accustomed to using stand-ins for their high-ranking officials, and the practice was usually done with the real person in the group of guards. The only ones who really knew what Captain Kherry or Kherry's superior, Commander Scott looked like were their closest family, friends, advisors, and the territorial leadership. This was due to the constant low-level rivalry and strife between districts that forced the commanders to have stand-ins in case of an assassination.

The soldier nodded slowly and shook the letter for the soldier to take. The letter, if opened, would read:

Islamic State:

I'm addressing this to your nation as a whole, Salih Al-Ahmedi. If you're reading this letter, then by now you've learned that my military is on your border. I apologize for not warning you of this. This is not a war on your faith, nor a war on your people. My people are starving. They are poor, and they need assistance, the only assistance that plentiful farmland and access to the ocean waters will allow us. The military is there to take this land by force, if needed, but it would be much easier for you to read this letter and simply allow my forces to travel to the ocean and secure the land with no resistance. Your people in the area will not be harmed, and once the area is secured, they can leave if they want. Any who wish to stay, will be added to a new Islamic territory within the United Front Confederation. I want as little bloodshed as possible, and hope that you feel the same. If you do, then you will allow this to happen, you will allow my troops to secure a route to the ocean, and we can negotiate terms of our new borders as soon as possible. I must stress that they will not be terms of surrender for you, they will be mutual terms. If you want bloodshed, then feel free to fire upon my soldiers as they approach your border. They will not hesitate to fire back. Most of my soldiers have spent decades fighting amongst their territories until I came to unite them, so they are more than experienced enough to fight your forces. I plead with you to make this as easy as possible for the both of us.

- Commander Scott Ibrahim

Captain Kherry did not know what the letter had written in it, only the general goals of what Ibrahim wanted accomplished. He hoped that Ibrahim's words were enough that he didn't die today, but if it wasn't, then insh Allah, he would make sure he would not die without a fight.

Peuntian Empire Border Outpost, UFC

The Peuntian Militia conscript stood on a tower with a pair of binoculars in his hands. The conscript had already gotten a message to the Crown Prince of the Empire. He would hopefully mobilize the militia and move them here as quickly as possible, if what the conscript saw was correct.

A few kilometers away, to the South, appeared to be a massive, and growing, force of Russlavian military units. And they were facing the border. Either this was some kind of coincidence, or it was related to the central military moving towards the Islamic State border. Either way, there was about to be a war here, and the entire Peuntian Militia should be here to defend their territory. Maybe the Crown Prince could even gain the support of the central Security Division in order to assist them, even if the Security Division was just the UFC's glorified police force. It was more than nothing, even if it wouldn't be enough...

Middle of the sea going to Iverik Empire

Twenty fighter, fifteen stealth and transport aircrafts was deployed carrying troops and military vehicles. "We are now reaching our destination in 48 minutes, watch for incoming attacks, stealth aircrafts to advance, secure our route." said by a pilot over his radio to his comrades. Inside a transport aircraft there is General Way sitting, thinking about what will happen in near future, he will go to the Empire to discuss about strategies.

Nine minutes left until arrival when the stealth aircrafts spotted enemy aircrafts preparing to strike Iverik fleets.
"This is bad comrades, transport aircraft should find another way, rest of us will engage once they began the attack." said by the pilot on his radio again.

Office of the President, Mokatopol, Nisanov

The President called his military advisor again to know the current situation of Vladislavian forces.
"Before I ask you my main question, how is the preparation here?" asked by Vladislav Dzheyms.
"We recently finished the preparation."
"Good, now for the main question. How good is our forces there?"
"Very good, they will start their landing in 6 minutes."
The military advisor received a message from General Way.
"This is bad, our forces saw Mansuriyyah Air Force preparing to attack Iverik fleets."
"Our aircrafts shall engage the enemies." he added.
"Alright, how about our troops and military vehicles?" asked by Dzheyms.
"It is common sense that we can't land on water, they will land first in Iverik then to Mansuriyyah, for now Air Force can fight."
"Tell our forces there to prepare naval mines, in case of enemy fleets show up."
"Affirmative, My Leader."
Work in progress!!

One of the meeting rooms of the "White Palace", Ordoxnigrad, 1PM
Image

"Are there any other news?" asked the King, looking at the people sitting at the table.
A soldier entered the room and saluted the King: "Sir, our units are on alert. Following the protocol, it will stay on the second degree until you order an attack".
The King looked at him and smiled pleasantly:"Thank you, you are dissmissed." The soldier saluted them and exited the room.

"So, will we go to war gentlemen?" asked the King, looking at the generals, directors and a few members of the government.
One general stood up: "Not necessarily sir. Our aid to Russlavia is covered by our mutual agreenment, USE provides us with enough cover to help our allies and stay out of the war" after which he sat back.
The King smiled and nodded: "That's nice to hear. But what will we do about Treko? By declaring war they are bringing the fight to our region."
A director of one of Ordoxia's secret services stood up: "We can interfear by other means. And use this chance to further enforce and enrich our networks in countries involved in the fighting. We can also send USE watchers on the ground to monitor the situation, but we'd have to be careful not to put them in danger. Otherwise, it might lead us to war."
The Premier stood up while the director was sitting down: "If i may, sir?"
"Of course. But please stop with the formalities, we're alone here and have much important things to attend to. I assure you i won't be insulted" the king said, smiling.
The Premier smiled and continued, sitting down: "Well, i think that we shouldn't get too involved in this. After all, our primary concern is our own people."
"Naturaly premier. What ever we do we do in the interest of our people. This war is an opportynity we shouldn't miss. And as both sides are equally irrelevant to us, we might as well settle some old scores" said the King.
"Russlavia is preparing to attack UFC, but they didn't choose a definitive side yet. So i suggest sending an envoy to each country involved, and see what they want out of this war while we're at it. Then we can have a bigger picture and see to which lenghts they are ready to go, which will help us determain our policy on the matter" said the Minister of Foreign affairs.
The King looked around the table: "Is there anyone who has another opinion on our next steps?"
"Sending an envoy won't be a problem, but there are some countries which will certainly lie" said the Premier.
"If they are stupid enough to lie and get on USE's bad side, so be it" said the General, smiling a bit.

"So be it. Send our USE envoies to each of the countries, and let's see what they want. Monitor the movement of Treko's units and be prepared to answer if they attack. We must always be prepared" said the King, looking at the general. Then he continued: "Next order of business?"
"Here is the map of the current troop movement with their expected destinations" said the director, pressing a button on a remote control. A huge map of the region appeared:

A thin villana was thrown on the table in front of Xavier Aducid. Opening the folder hesitantly. The older man that tossed the folder on the table before him spoke. "The UFC has been essentially attacked by Russlavia. Obviously, they don't stand a chance. They're already a broken nation at war, except now the war has also turned into two fronts, against their favor."

Xavier simply took a sip from a glass of what seemed to be Iverik Wine. Officially alcohol was illegal, but it was rarely enforced. Some of the highest ranks of the Upper Party had access to alcohol, and some of the lowest ranks of the Lower Party also have access to alcohol. "What a shame." he dismissed rather apathetically.

"Sir? They're our ally." The man questioned.

"I know that, but what can we do? Currently the UFC is landlocked, and are being attacked on both sides. With their crippling issues that probably have lead to this war, the fact that they're tiny nation fighting a war on two fronts against two, larger nations, and that none of the UFC allies have access to the UFC, I'm not sure what to do. Currently, it would be futile to declare war on Russlavia, or more so to directly attack them. Due to our similar military strengths, the determining factor is geography. We're both an ocean away from each other. Simply put, if we moved ships up to combat them, they'd destroy our fleets, just as if they attempted to move fleets up to us we would destroy their fleets. We could declare war on them as a formality, but it would be just that; a formality. There would be virtually no effective fighting, only petty spying which would now be slightly more justified due to our war on them. I feel bad for the UFC, I truly do, but there is nothing we can do. And they most certainly will lose the war. All we can do is achieve our interests as quickly as possible, and then sign a peace deal with the MIS."

"Very well, sir. Also, Vladislav support will be reaching us in a matter of a few minutes. The council has personally cleared their landing and negotiations."

"Alright. For now, have our fleet that is heading towards the MIS to stop, and remain out of range of their fleet. In the event that any MIS ship, but it their capital ship or a petty military speed boat comes into range, have our long range frigates open fire and sink it without a second thought. Only do this if it is confirmed to be a military ship; civilian casualties will not help us. But if we accidently do sink a civilian ship, we can mark it as collateral damage and we'll still be safe under the laws of war." Xavier took another sip from the wine, motioning the old man to leave the room.

As the anthem of the Empire proudly ended, the masses in the streets, mainly Lower Party members, cheered in complete enthusiastic triumph. Across the streets of Central Square, laid about Iverik flags and propaganda posters. Posters detailing the horrific barbaric culture of both the MIS and Russlavia. Tales of their soldiers resulting to cannibalism because their culture promoted it, tales of them raping Iverik women and children. The houses across the Empire were run down, and poorly made. The sidewalks were almost also overgrown with weeds and dirt while the air almost always stunk of industrial machinery and freshly produced rubber. Despite the homes with roofs that were sometimes boarded up with wood, roads that are damaged and poorly built, and high-definiton, audio-capable cameras at every street light, building, and even inside the homes of the Upper Party, the people were focused on one thing: the war.

"My comrades, my brothers and sisters! Liberated workers!" A man that worked for the Ministry of State walked out on balcony of an opulent building. Speaking into a microphone with loud speakers that rang throughout the city, while being broadcasted as a mandatory program across all Iverik TVs and radios. It also broadcasted into military barracks and the Iverik naval fleet near the Islamic State. "We bring news of the Islamic Front! The MIS in their barbaric aggression, has declared war on the peace-loving nations of Treko, Vladislav, and the United Confederation Front. Already the MIS with the help of the Russalav dogs have began stealing innocent women and children from the Confederation for the sex trade! For slavery! They even shoot them for target practice! They send suicide bombers to Treko and Vladislav, they attempted several times to even assassinate our leaders that have liberated us from fascist exploitation!" The people booed and hissed, not at the man giving the speech but at the MIS, at Russlavia. How could such horrible nations as the Islamic State and Russlaiva even exist? Nations bent on capitalist exploitation, nations bent on spreading hatred. Suddenly, the speech giver became calm. "But, when we try to put a stop to the barbaric monstrosity that is the Islamic State, we are the aggressors? When we try to help the oppressed women of the Islamic State and Russlavia to get a basic education, to not get beaten merely due to their sex, we are the aggressor?" His tone suddenly begun to pick up becoming increasingly aggressive and nationalistic. "When we try to end their fascist exploitation of hard working men and women, we are the aggressor? When they dare attack our allies whom didn't want war, we are the bloody aggressor?! NO! We are not. Comrades, we are their liberators! We are their saviors! Their people have been oppressed and brainwashed for decades, for centuries! Now is the time! We cannot back down in the face of exploitation. We must crush the Islamic State! We must destroy their very capitalist foundations! Death to their capitalist overlords!"

The people in the streets once again cheered in one of the most insanely nationalistic cries and celebrations ever. "But, while our brave soldiers are fighting the war, we as a collective must do everything within our power at home. To everyone, both Upper and Lower party, report any and all suspicious activity! if the Islamic State or Russlavia attempts to send spies, we will hunt them down and hang the cowards in public! We cannot let the capitalist infiltrate our own ranks. Keep an eye on everyone, even your friends and families. Report illegal and suspicious behavior immediately. Remember, if we remain quiet here, our soldiers will die over there in far-off waters. Remember, brothers and sisters, all death to fascism! All death to capitalism! All glory to Socialism! Forever live the Empire!"
Lavochkin wrote:Never got why educated people support communism.

In capitalism, you pretty much have a 50/50 chance of being rich or poor. In communism, it's 1/99. What makes people think they have the luck/skill to become the 1% if they can't even succeed in a 50/50 society???

Sharwa Province

Image

“You all have your orders and know what you have to do. Use the time we have left to improve your Brigades battle positions. Rehearsal and stock supplies in your positions. If the enemy passes thru the Navy and the Air Force, let’s give them a very warm welcome”, General Ayoob al-Aydarus grinned. Since Iverik’s declaration of War, he and his men have been tirelessly working. Thousands of soldiers have been mobilized and are now positioned in several defensive positions. Alongside the coast, possible beachheads were mined and anti-ship artillery systems have been positioned to defend every beach where the enemy forces could land. Reserve systems were placed further back from the coastline, ready to reinforce any section that comes under attack. Throughout the province, major avenues of movement have been garrisoned and either mined or explosives have been planted, to delay the enemy advance in case they manage to reach it. Air defense systems have been placed near strategic positions to defend against Iverik’s aircraft. The major efforts, however, were done in the three major towns: Zabid, Ma’arib and Draman. Zabid is Sharwa’a major port, and located very close to the straight, and the others are located in the main routes connecting Sharwa with the rest of the country. The enemy would have to take these cities if they wanted to take hold of the province, and to invade further inland; that’s why they had been transformed into the backbone of Mansuriyyahs defense. Even if they decided to just ignore them and advance, that would mean that they would have thousands of soldiers in well-defended positions at their back. At the border of the expected main battle areas, a reserve force is being mobilized, to support the defending soldiers and counterattack the invaders. The General had indeed planned a very warm welcome party for Iverik.

Command Bunker

It had arrived in the afternoon. They said some high-ranking officer delivered it at the hands of a Boarder Guardsman, to be delivered directly to his hands. He had read it several times, over and over, and by now had practically memorized its contents. What he couldn’t do, was write an appropriate answer to it.

The clock showed that it was almost time for the Morning Prayer. Reading the letter one more time, Muhammad Salih picked pen and paper.

To Commander Scott Ibrahim
In the name of Allah, the Most Clement, the Most Merciful
All the praises be to our Lord, the Master of the Worlds, Sustainer of all Creation. Abundant salutations be upon the Prophet, his family, his companions and his followers.
To proceed;
Commander Scott, you have managed to pacify and unite your people. That demands a great deal of intelligence and ability, and also courage to act. It seems, to me, that you are a man who genuinely cares for your people. As a man I can only but feel sympathy to you. As the leader of my people, however, the same way you must care for the well-being of your people, I have to care about mine. If you were hungry and asked my to give you from my food, I would give it to you. If you were out there under the harsh weather and asked my for my roof, I would give it to you… because they are mine, and I couldn’t live with that in my conscience. You are, however, not asking for MY food, for MY house; you are asking for my people’s, and I can’t give you what isn’t mine. On the contrary: It is my solemn duty, my responsibility under God’s eyes, to defend their lives and welfare. As a leader, I wouldn’t be able to stand it if I didn’t.
I must remind you that it isn’t my actions that will lead to bloodshed, but yours. You, who took this reckless decision to invade us, and caused this whole chain of events that followed it. Now, my people is facing war against three major nations. If I stand back now, what message am I giving them? That we kneel down to even a tiny, poor nation that threatens to invade us. That is unacceptable. You have forced me to do what I have to do. I wish that it hadn't been this way. I trully do.
All the blood that is going to be spilled is in your hands.

As he laid down the pen, he felt a bitter taste in his mouth and a empty feeling on his stomach. Was he taking the right decision? Would be giving them what they wanted the least worse of the options? No, he shan’t have doubts in his mind. He had taken his decision. He had to be strong and stand by what was better for his people, even if he didn’t like it. He picked up his phone and asked his secretary to forward the letter to General Abbas al-Sabbagh in Zahedan province, to arrange it to be delivered as soon as possible.

Somewhere above the sea

Image

The squadron of stealth jets crossed the night skies just before dawn, approaching the supposed enemy formation. By now they were within AWACS range, but so for they haven’t been detected. Their EASA radar, however, detected the presence of enemy aircraft ahead. They assumed fighting formation, and, they approached enough, launched a pair of long range air-to-air missiles against Iverik’s AWACS. The radar signature of the launched missiles alerted them of their presence; soon all nearby aircraft would be setting eyes on them, so they would disperse to engage the enemy while they still had the surprise effect on their hands, as the missiles approached their target at mach 4…

Meanwhile, under the water, four submarines that formed the Navy’s spearhead against Iverik, launched anti-ship torpedoes, targeting the nearest ships that could pose threat to the fighter jets. At a different position, a smaller recognizance sub activated its active sonar, aiming to spot any enemy submarines in range.

Waters between Iverik and Mansuriyyah

A great amount of Vladislavian aircrafts began to strike against Mansuriyyah's aircrafts. "They will be forced to back out, keep striking." said by the pilot over his radio after that he launched another missile.

Somewhere in Iverik Empire

Mokatopol Naval Base, Mokatopol, Nisanov

Military officials have gathered at the meeting room to talk about strategies. "So gentlemen, we recently finished planning of what we are going to do." said by Vice Admiral Konstantin. "We are going to deploy fleets going to Mansuriyyah, our goal is to eliminate enemy naval forces, and Iverik Empire is the one who will strike at air, but we should also keep watching." he added. "May I request to add more ground forces?" asked by an army general. "Sure, general and Air Force, I think you should add more aircrafts to strike on enemy coast or any land in cooperation with Navy and Iverik's naval force if they passed enemies along the seas but it's up to you." The Air Force Colonel nods as a sign of approval. "We will start tomorrow, for the Great Soviet Republic!" shouted by Konstantin. "For the Great Soviet Republic!" replied by the two, then they all laughed like Vladislav and it's allies are victorious.

One of the meeting rooms of the "White Palace", Ordoxnigrad, 8PM

Inside the meeting room the King, Premier, Minister of Defense, a General and directors of Ordoxian secret services were sitting at the table. They had a casual chatt, while they were waiting for someone.
The Minister of Foreign Relations(MoF) entered the room, carrying a briefcase. He greeted the men sitting at the table, put his briefcase on the table, opened it and tok several papers out.

The King smiled: "Wellcome Minister, please take a seat and give us the news."
The MoF thanked the King and tok a seat: "Gentlemen, our diplomatic mission has been a success in three out of five countries involved. We didn't contact Iverik Empire because, well, you know they're not very diplomatic. Our Ambassador is still waiting for a meeting with Treko's Foreign Minister."
He tok one sheet of paper, and started talking while looking at it: "Both UFC and Vladislav gave us similar reasons for their moves. UFC argues that they need fertile land, while Vladislav seeks expansion to our continent." MoF made a short pause, and then continued: "We broke all diplomatic ties with the UFC, closed our embassy and withdrew our Ambassador, while their representative has a few more hours to leave Ordoxia. As they started this mess in the first place, choosing war and expansion instead of diplomacy, we saw no reason to have any diplomatic contact with them, at least until they change their decision.
As far as Vladislav is concerned, as you know, we agreed not to do anything drastic until we see their actions on the field. Our main argument is that we don't approve redrawing of the borders on the expense of other countries. Today it's MIS, tomorrow it might be Ordoxia.
Now, as far as MIS is concerned, i am taking the liberty to say that our main mission is a complete success. Everything is ready to be put in motion the momment we recieve and inspect the agreenment."
The Premier looked at him: "Inform our allies of this as soon as possible. And did we get a reply on our previous message?"
MoF: "Not yet sir."
The King frowned: "We also need eyes on the ground. Contact USE and arrange an observer mission we can send to MIS. Officialy inform all involved parties when it's done."
Premier: "Of course sir."

"I think that no one should ever impose any values, which he/she considers to be correct, on others. We [Russia] have our own values and our own ideas about justice,"
Mr. Vladimir Putin, leader of the Free World.
