Alright, I'll post them later tonight.

EDIT: Here they are. I apologize for the poor resolution, the iPad I use sucks like the rest of that soulless money vaccum. Honestly, who makes a camera pic 650 x 870 and the screen 1280p? Idiots, that's who. Rant aside, stuff:

I'm writing a brief description on the views of antedulivans on Revaalsbandti. From what I gleamed, anteduliva is sexually equal but rather racist, so I thought I would reflect on that. I'll post it when I get home from Portland because fuck typing on an iPad.

Super racist. Legally, all citizens should be treated equal, but natives from certain areas are just less equal than others, immigrants are viewed with either amusement or suspicion, and Yah help you if you're a Precam defector.

Can't make out the text in the first one, like the second one, the third one is a great drawing but (s)he is way too young for their rank and superheavy armor isn't really a thing. Like the sword, though. Looks very sturdy and utilitarian.

Agritum wrote:Precambria's Government

Precambria is a parliamentary republic headed by a President Elect and a Prime Chancellor. The President Elect is the mostly ceremonial head of state, elected by universal suffrage, who is entrusted with the task of preserving the core democratic virtues of the Precambrian Charts of Liberties, and appointing the Chancellor, who works as the head of government and of the executive branch. The soon-to-be chancellor is usually candidated by the winning party in parliamentary elections/the parliamentary majority.

Precambria's legislative branch is the Parliament, a tetracameral organ embodied by the Senate, The House of Representatives, The Legislative Council and the Minority Assembly. The particular complexity and redundancy of the Precambrian Parliament, which is usually seen as an obstructive and legalistic institution, was purposefully designed to keep a stable balance of power. As a multipartisan country, Precambria's parliament is usually divided in several squabbling coalitions, but the Democratic Republican Party of Precambria currently holds the highest sway in the government of the country.

The judicial branch is independent from the executive, and largely self-governing. At its top sits the Ultimate Jurisdictional Tribunal, governed by Twelve Justices, with the task of defending the Chart of Liberties from unconstitutional legislation or executive orders.

The complexity of the Precambrian system is a favourite passtime of Antediluvian propaganda.

Love it, especially the last line. There should also be a religious branch of the govt, Precambrians are a pious lot.
Oceans Haven wrote:been meaning to ask...is there any kind of special forces unit? like a team trained on finding enemy locations or recon the enemy or snipe officers behind enemy lines?

There's UNMETA, or UNconventional MEthods and TActics, current size and positions unknown. Potential candidates are chosen during enrollment, and are then shipped off for training away from the regular Army. They do receive basic training, but it has been tailored to the needs of the UNMETA. They only train with the Army on specific cross-branch exercises.

Not much else is revealed about them officially, but the widespread (although frequently discredited) rumors about their magical nature are in fact true: there's always an UNMETA medical officer present at call-ups for new recruits who picks out magical affinites by some manner of witchcraft. There's no transparent way for this, since the Antediluvian government denies the existence of magic, and because many affinites growing up in a non-magical culture have no idea of their affinity.

During training, UNMETA "hopefuls" are divided into Orders based on where their talents lie: Sorcerers (officially "assault commandos"), Wizards ("intelligence analysts") and Magicians ("technicians"). There's a more detailed description of each in the OP.

A Dissemination of Common Antedullivan Perceptions on Revaalsbandti

Revaalsbandt holds a strange place in the world, and in the minds of Antedulliva at large. Being relatively new on the world stage due to their physical and political isolation, Revaalsbandt is generally seen as the 'new kid' on the global stage, an image that is not helped by having a teenager as head of state. And much like the new kid at the most vicious inner city Antedullivan junior high, they have been kicked up and down the proverbial street by both major warring powers. Since their near conquest 65 years ago, the Revaalsbandti have grown to loathe Antedulliva and Precambria with a burning passion. Ask any native born 'Bandti and they can tell you a long story about how they, or someone they know, was screwed over. Intimidation, threats and beatings are the surface of these egregious offences perpetuated in roughly equal measure by both sides, and frequently lead to something far worse. It is no wonder that the remaining Imperial soldateni continue to fight long after their official defeat, and train the much more dangerous Partisani groups who operate without limits, legal or moral.

However, the hate is not one way; many Precambrians and Antedullvians despise the Revaalsbandti. Precambria tend to believe that 'Bandti are vicious, irrational pagans, who should be subdued and uplifted when it becomes convenient. The Antedullvian public believes they're barely civilized savages who should be wiped out once Precambria is out of the way. In Antedulliva, this stance is held by several of the major noble houses, and has begun to snake it's way in the highest echelons of government.

Several influential Revaalsbandti produced books and movies are banned, most famous of which are (trans: Fighting for Home) and (trans: Of Snow and Steel). Both portray Partisani in a sympathetic light, and have reached certain levels of fame despite the ban. (trans: Fighting for Home) shows the story of Markko Eckhavst, the famous partisan commander; famous for the writing, the incredibly realistic and gory (to the point where some people had to leave the theater) battle scenes, and engaging characters. (trans: Of Snow and Steel) is an animated movie by the famous Imperial Animation Studio, and is regarded as one of the best feature length animated movies thus far produced; it portrays a fictional relationship between a Revaalsbandti maiden and a Precambrian soldier, and the conflict between the girl's lover and her brother, a partisan fighter. Both were banned for a plethora of reasons, some grounded in reality to blatant attempts to throw the book at them, ranging from true 'excessive violence' to the blatantly false 'implied incest'.

Discrimination against Revaalsbandti has a documented history in the armed forces of both major aggressors. This is especially prevalent in units where a soldier lost a loved one to Partisani, such as in the infamous Recruit Battalion 343 incident, were a Staff Sgt and several base troopers publicly killed a Revaalsbandti recruit, who shared the name of an (in)famous partisan, after she collapsed from exhaustion during a long march while carrying a slower soldiers' gear in addition to her own. Most cases of discrimination are less cruel, and generally limit themselves; moving heavy loads back and forth, having recruits hold uncomfortable or physically demanding poses for long periods of time, having them pull double duty while other recruits have downtime, meals or sleep being withheld, being punished for the mistakes of other troopers, and punishing troops for helping Revaalsbandti recruits are almost standard in Antedullvian training camps.

Outside the military, the discrimination continues. Everyone is equal before Antedulivan law, but it turns out that some are less equal than others. Reprisal attacks, attempted kidnappings, and police harassment are distressingly common in the poorer and rural areas. Revaalsbandti are also not allowed to own businesses, and insults are shouted across streets in most parts of Antedulliva. To represent this dislike of Revaalsbandti, several new offensive moinkers have been coined, in order from least to most offensive; 'snowies', 'snowskins', and 'Empress-fuckers'. The last one is an excellent way to set world records in getting normally quiet and reserved 'Bandti to go from calm to blood-boiling rage. Fighting is a common result of the last term used, and the use traditional Revaalsbandti fighting styles has given arise to a relatively new affectionate moinker; 'bone-breaker'.

Revaalsbandti are scarce outside their homeland, and the number of 'Bandti currently residing in Antedulliva is 870, most of whom serve in the military. Luckily, due to recent successful Imperial military operations, conditions in Revaalsbandt homeland have been sharply improving, to the point where uniformed Imperial Military Police can patrol the streets of the city of Revaalsbandt once again.

EDIT: I did a drawing of a Revaalsbandti soldier. I'll post if it anyone wants.
