Eh, it shouldn't be a huge deal. Choose Warlord traits as you wish.

Well, maybe we can go halfway then. You can choose whatever trait you like, or you can roll and accept whatever you get, damn the consequences, and in exchange you get a little bonus or something, or maybe we just stick with rolling but allow a reroll if it makes no sense to have such a trait.

That might make sense; specific Warlord tables are balanced by powerful traits, but a good chance of fairly poor traits. Allowing folks to choose a good trait on those tables unbalances the Warlord trait itself.

I'd like a Strategic Warlord trait, if I may.

I'll get my army list up to date as soon as possible. Bare with me.

Sounds good.

I'm still hoping for a Mordian and Genestealer players, but we'll get started tonight even if they haven't shown up- those factions that are screwed over by this will have automatic reinforcements on Day 2.

Day 1 won't be very long, and orks are all but certian to land on Day 2.

Also, we need the Mordians, because I don't want to have my Arbites have to face off against Chaos/Stealers/Orkz by themselves.

I wouldn't worry about it excessively- even if we don't get Mordians initially, you'll get reinforcements quicker, so you personally will have a larger army faster.

If you want to play Mordians, that'd be great. Astartes would also be fun, but they're the sprinkles on the cupcake, not the batter.

True.

I've got an idea of vat grown soldiers for the Mordians. Would that be alright ?

I don't -think- the Mordians do vats, but eh, sure. Roll with it.

I think anyone would use vat-grown forces if they really needed them. And seeing as most of Mordian's regiments (and thus manpower) will be in transit to other warzones or in other warzones, the only quick option (due to Warp travel being as unreliable as... Well, everything) is to grow some disposable forces in vats to use as second-line troops.

Whenever I see an army list, I cry a little inside for how overcosted the Scions are. I mean, 70 pt troops that basically have a mandatory 25+ pt upgrade? 155 pt Valks? Everything is literally 20-30 pts cheaper if I but it off the Inquisition.

Considering how long it takes to vat grow someone, and the resources and infrastructure needed to even start, I find it doubtful they could just start doing so the minute an emergency occurs.

Certainly I plan to have tabletop games- this is essentially a Cities of Terror campaign, and folks will be writing their own narratives of conquest and war.

If you like, I wouldn't mind throwing together a Genestealer army list for you. I'll do it as soon as I get home from work.

I'll read up on Genestealers tonight and see if I can play them. No idea if I can, so just go ahead and start. Regardless I'll have an app up for something by the weekend.

Done at last. Let me know if theres anything that needs to be changed

Army Name (Allegiance): The 13th Death Korp of Krieg Mechanized Infantry Regiment (Imperial Guard)
Army Bio:
Among the most dedicated and merciless of the forces of the Imperial Guard are The Death Korp of Krieg. They are legendary for their ability to fight on despite facing impossible odds and can turn the tide of battle in the Imperium's favour in the most deadly of warzones. Theirs is a dark history for the Death Korps' grim fervour in the face of the Imperium's numerous enemies, is the end result of a five-century long nightmare of treachery, revolt and atomic warfare. It is a stain of sin on their civilisation, for which in atonement, the people of Krieg have committed themselves to generation after generation of martyrdom to expunge it from their souls. Such is the world in-which the guardsmen of the 13th Death Korp were brought up upon.

A newly-raised military force from their self-inflicted hell of a homeworld, the 13th Mechanized Regiment were assigned to the 88th Siege Army as part of the 1st Line Korp to partake in the Siege of Vraks. Honed and re-educated on the killing fields of Vraks, The 13th survived the intense and bloody battles across no man's land. Led by former officer-turn-Colonel 666, they emerged out of the fray alive but with only half the numbers that they started out with. The 13th Death Korp had their companies replenished back on their homeworld of Krieg and were later alerted and briefed on the rising presence of Chaos, Greenskins and possibly Tyranids within the Mordian System. Tasked with the mission of reinforcing their comrades on the planet Mordian and preventing the Iron Guard's homeworld from falling, The 13th Death Korp are proceeding towards their destination. Fully intent on accomplishing their tasks at any and all costs.
Experience with WH40k: well versed in its lore, legends & video games but still in-learning process when it comes to table-top game mechanics
