Simplicity in Conflict [FT, ZB/Tanabiku & Atmoran Comm.]

Postby Stormwrath » Sat Mar 28, 2015 11:50 pm

Chatzy Thread for OOC Discussion
Shoot and kill as many as possible! Blow their ships to bits! Give them unending attrition! I do not care what it takes as long as you all remind the Atmoran aggressors to stay on their side of the line!
- Admiral Watchman Idris Armiger, 2567 PA

Simplicity in Conflict

"Requiem this is Beacon 2-6! Our Aegis squadrons are being overrun by enemy fighters! Atmoran bombers are taking out our anti-air defenses, requesting immediate assistance!"

"Negative Beacon 2-6, our forces are being engaged outside of Kahagnis where a huge Atmoran force is closing in. We suggest that you deploy our reserve Aegis squadrons in that area and redirect the anti-air guns to the bombers, over."

Another explosion went off in the sky as another Atmoran fighter was hit by plasma rounds from Rocket angel squadrons. The whistle of bombs from Atmoran bombers filled the ears of the soldiers and civilians on the ground as it continued to lay waste to the surface. Up in space, the defending ships of the Space Command were holding their own against the numerous Atmoran Imperial Fleet. Columns of smoke and the corpses of the dead can be seen everywhere. But why?

Atmoran and Stormwrathian relations have turned sour ever since the conclusion of the Combine War. It wasn't much of a concern back then, as Archempress Eloise and Emperor Daral kept the noble alliance together. However, it was only ten years ago when the hostilities began to take shape between the two, when Eloise's son Caspian V ascended the throne. Now it has come to the point where war is at their very doorstep.

Overseer Eric Sebaste, who was the Overseer of the Stephanides Convocature, knew that these trigger happy Atmorans have been preparing for this day ever since the moment the Empire found Stormwrath's borders. Back in Percival's reign the Intelligence Agency of Stormwrath have found a series of documents and battle plans collectively known as War Plan Lilac. Its purpose is for a full invasion of the Tanabiku Galaxy with the reliance of speed and numbers. It has been updated many times by the Atmorans to reflect the changes in territory – its most recent update having taken place nine years ago. Despite all the preparations and the contingency plans made by the IAS and the Ministry of Defense, Stormwrath's supposed "alliance" with Atmora is what may be holding them back from doing any real strategy. No wonder it was a shock that Atmora would choose to attack Stephanides.

After a few hours of intense fighting between both sides, the Atmorans began to charge up their plasma bombardment uplinks in preparation for a planet-wide glassing. Now they had reason to panic. While the population was being systematically evacuated via ships escorted by the Stormwrath Space Command, the order was given to shoot the enemy's uplinks. The Grid cannons on the planet fired and disabled several uplinks on the vessels, some of which led to the enemy's ships to explode. However, that didn't stop the others from glassing the planet. Plasma can be seen disintegrating everything in its path, from buildings to wildlife. No distinction was made, for all were turned to dust and ashes, probably even glass as the name suggests.

The High Overseer is in a war council with top Armed Forces officers and the Archemperor. Overseer Sebaste's figure can be seen in a floating holographic projection, along with other holograms displaying several documents and exhibits of Atmoran battle strategies and warships. Currently Sebaste is on a space station light years away from the Christiana Sector, as he has no planet anymore, no Stephanides to return to. The Audience of Worlds has already declared war on the Empire of Atmora the day before, thus beginning the chain of events that will ravage the Tanabiku Galaxy as a whole. The Defense Minister replied, "We may have to particularly watch the line between the Daiichi and Dai Ni Quadrant as it is the closest way to go to Zero."

Floating past the warship hologram, Sebaste asked, "What about our territories between Stephanides and the Tanabiku Galaxy? Are they not important, even vital to our territorial integrity? Once they are gone the Tanabiku Galaxy will be next." Even though Stormwrath has a post-scarcity economy, they still know that they are a bit overstretched. Sebaste adds, "And what of the Zero World Council and the Tanabiku Galactic Forum?"

"They'll know soon enough," Caspian replied. "After all they cannot ignore it once it has happened."

"Should we be focusing on slowing the Atmoran advance to the Tanabiku Galaxy as much as possible?," questioned one of the Space Command Admirals at the council.

"Of course we should," replied another. "But which way they would most likely go through should be crucial to our war plans." Activating a hologram revealing a map of a certain part of the Laniakea Supercluster – particularly the area of space from the Milky Way Galaxy to the Virgo Cluster – he continued by saying, "Here is the Atmoran Commonwealth shown in red. As you can see they surround the TGF member territories, represented in blue, like a gigantic crescent. They will most likely attack through the shortest way possible to the Tanabiku Galaxy: the Natalian Crossing." It is a certain part on the edge of the Hirogari Galactic Group where the Atmoran border is located. Both sides know this fact well.

"Natalian Crossing? Isn't that also the location of a lot of space rocks?," asked one of the members of the council. Even ships of the Stormwrath Armed Forces have a hard time going through there.

Admiral Watchman Idris Armiger was among the council members. Being chief of the Stormwrath Space Command really says something. He is known for his unorthodox tactics and shock attacks that have helped the SSC to gain victory. Idris has seen an opportunity for the Stormwrathians to gain an early triumph. He said to everyone, "Then we have the advantage of maneuverability over the Atmorans. Since it is an invasion, then they will be most likely bringing their largest ships. We can counter that with our superfrigates and cruisers. The space rocks can be used for some protection and for traps."

"What about their technological capabilities?," questioned another high-ranking officer. "Some say that they have reached our level of technological advancement."

Idris responded, "I doubt that they know of the new technologies gained from the Combine War. We could use that." Yes it was indeed a devastating war that took several billion lives, but the Tanabikans had gained vital technologies such as calculated teleportation and more accurate energy-draining weaponry. He then turned to the head of the IAS (who was at the council) and said, "You may want to prepare robust security measures to prevent cyberspace attacks."

Caspian thought for a moment. Being the commander-in-chief of the Stormwrath Armed Forces it is his burden. "Very well then. You may go ahead with the plans in place. Of course we cannot place all of our defenses in the Crossing or they will find an alternate route in. Since our superfrigates and cruisers will be there at the location specified, our larger ships can be stationed elsewhere to defend the Tanabiku Galaxy and our territories outside of it."

"I almost forgot one thing Archemperor," pointed out a member of the council. "What about our Milky Way Colonies? The Iubar System is within New Tessia's reach."

"The Atmoran colonies in the Milky Way are largely isolated from Haven, they wouldn't want to attack the Iubar System without risking their entire fleets."

"True," Idris replied. "However we shouldn't let our guard down because of that fact. The 157th and 168th Fleets should be put on guard there to prevent another Stephanides." He turned to the others and continued, "Should the Atmorans be on their way for an invasion, let the AIs calculate their possible courses and evacuate the populations of celestial bodies to artificial colonies such as orbitals or ships. That way we can have extensive flexibility. The orbitals can support much more population compared to planets or moons. As for the Zero World Council, our High Overseer will be going to address them."

"What about the Tanabiku Galactic Forum?," asked the High Overseer.

"I will go and tell them," said the Archemperor. "I will go." He needed to go as the future hangs in his decision for now.

The most unpleasant sound is the beating of war drums! Now I fear I must give the orders to have the drums of war beat and send off our sons and daughters to war! But if I must let the song of Amaraus be heard as we claim victory for the empire!
- Emperor Daral Johnson Wolf, 2156 AD

Grand Admiral Brooks of the TMS Sierra looks out at Stephanides. After the War of Vector Cluster, Brooks always wanted to repay the Stormwrathians for his defeat in the war. However the Admiral knew something after fighting along side Stormwrathians in battles and war games. He knew they're moves and so did they. Or did they?

Brooks was given his orders to capture or destroy Stephanides. Brooks had a smug look on his face as his AI; Icelynn showed up. Icelynn spoke to the Admiral.

"Grand Admiral! The Stephanides Defense are slowly falling. We have a chance to glass the planet."

Grand Admiral Brooks rubbed his chin.

"Icelynn order the ships to orbit around the planet and prepare for a planet wide glassing!"

"What symbol should they leave Grand Admiral?"

"The mark of regret!"

"But but sir that's...."

"Icelynn your job is to listen to me and right now I'm telling you to leave the mark of regret!"

To: Atmoran Invasion Force

The Grand Admiral is ordering the planet wide glassing of Stephanides. All ships are said to leave the mark of regret. All AF-59 Lynx's and B-94 Oxwell's continue your assualt on the Stormwrathians. All ground forces please move to the nearest shuttle to escape the glassing. All Lynx's are also ordered to prevent the S.A.F. from escaping 'Regret'!"

Grand Admiral Lexi Veronica Godsil of the 168th Imperial Fleet.

Grand Admiral Godsil is looking out at the vastness of space. Curious what else is out there and what they have to offer. Lexi always loved New Tessia. She preferred the quietness of New Tessia. However she knew that the quietness she once loved is now gone and now she must make the noise.

Grand Admiral Lexi is in the TMS Alyssa the newest Sierra Class Warship. The Alyssa was named after the 13 year old Princess Alyssa; Youngest child to Emperor Daral and Empress Sierra. The Ship could lauch 6 Alexanderia Class Frigates and numerous of aircraft/spacecraft.

Grand Admiral Godsil was checking her orders from the Imperial Defense Headquarters. When this message showed up.

To: 168th Imperial Fleet

Faith

From: Nicole Ruby, Minister of Defense

Immediately the 168th imperial fleet started to move towards the Lubar System. Grand Admiral Godsil knew what the word "Faith" meant what she had to do. Grand Admiral Godsil knew that more fleets are on there way to the Milky Way. However Lexi knew about the Natalian Crossing and how when the TMS Georgia went missing in the crossing. She knew she would have 3 or more fleets with her in the Crossing but the legends and tales about the Natalian Crossing were horrific.

Stephanides, Christiana Sector, Stormwrathian territory, Proin Galaxy
36 Jialanska 2565 PA, Several minutes before Plasma Bombardment

"Will you look at that, Overseer?," asked his liaison. "The planet is falling apart." That is what the planet looked like ever since the first drops of blood were shed by the Atmorans. It served as the halfway point between the Tanabiku and the Haven Galaxy. Some could've even said they have crossed the line. It was a good thing Sebaste had escaped from the near-desolate planet. His ship was cloaked to prevent any detection from the Atmoran fleet. As the Atmoran ships above prepared for a serious glassing, Sebaste ordered his liaison, "The Atmorans will be sending aerospace craft in to keep us within the planet. Order the commanding officers on the surface to keep them inside."

"Overseer," reacted his liaison. "That would be suicidal to say the least!" He would never be forgiven by the Audience for such a decision.

He turned and replied, "They dare attack us here? Then let them share in the planet's destruction."

On the ground, Aegis squadrons launched and began to engage the enemy fighters with everything they have. Should they be willing to die for the hope that Stormwrath will never have to repeat such a tragedy – a hope which will never be realized as long as this war lasts – they would die here. Some of them began to head for the locations of the enemy landing troops to prevent them from escaping, while others went up and took down several bombers from the sky. No Atmoran is to leave this planet alive.

"Beacon 2-6, keep the Atmorans here on this planet at all costs. I repeat, keep the Atmorans here at all costs. Do you copy?"

"Roger that Requiem, it was nice serving here while it lasted. Beacon 2-6 out."

As the grid cannons fired to destroy some of their ships to slow the glassing process, this bought the defenders time to launch escape ships to leave the planet. Rocket Angels escorted the vessels and protected them from the assaults of the Atmoran aerospace craft until they left the influence of Stephanides. As they heard the plasma begin to drop towards the surface, one of the Myrmidons on the ground cried out in confidence amongst the wreckage, "May we be avenged!"

The glassing began, and several orbital lances fell on the planet, disintegrating the area upon impact. Regret was being carved onto the planet's surface, meant to show to the universe that to induce Atmora's wrath shall bring regret. Little did the Atmorans know that it was a symbol that will light the fires of war, one that will shake the foundations of the cosmos.

The Audience had already declared war on the Empire of Atmora on the grounds of the destruction of Stephanides. The Mark of Regret that was engraved on the planet became a symbol of the Atmoran menace. Propaganda was already being spread by the media, with the symbol placed side by side with the words Do not tolerate. With the Intergalactic Empire unified, it is only a matter of time before the two sides engage each other in full scale combat.

With both sides aware of each others' tactics, Idris was looking for a certain Admiral who had experience with the Atmorans in the War of the Vector Cluster. Even though he was already an old man, he still has a sound mind and a healthy vigor. Admiral Spencer Arphaxad is now over 200 years old, older than his superior, yet he had quite a lot of experience under his belt, so Idris would need him in the fight. As Idris landed his personal ship on the moon's surface, he disembarked and made his way to the Vicina Command Center. Upon his entry, the men paused their tasks and saluted him; Idris replying, "At ease."

He made his way to Admiral Arphaxad's office where the bicentennial also saluted with heart into it. Idris replied, "At ease, Admiral." After taking a seat, Idris began, "It is with honor that I am sitting now with one of the most respected Admirals in our nation's history."

Arphaxad chuckled. "The pleasure is all mine. Now remember what we have been taught during military training, be quick with your words."

"Very well, Admiral." Taking his data pad and displaying the holographic star map on the Admiral's table, the Admiral Watchman said, "You do know of a large Atmoran fleet coming towards Luce, correct?"

"Yes," Arphaxad replied. "I also know that Godsil is commanding those fleets."

"Godsil? Fleets?" Idris's curiosity was aroused. He was surprised that High Admiral Brooks wouldn't want to personally settle a score with Arphaxad. Not only that, it seemed that the report given to him was in error. Multiple Atmoran fleets were heading to the Milky Way Galaxy to prepare for an offensive on Stormwrath's colonies.

"Looks like Defense Minister Ruby wanted Godsil to do the dirty work here in the Vector Cluster. Such a move would mobilize both Stormwrathian and Arcadian troops." He said this knowing of the Northern Arcadian presence in the Cluster, them and their glorified Trooper posters. Arphaxad opened up a metaverse access and played a video with a speech from Emperor Daral. The old Admiral told Idris, "I want you to judge for yourself his words."

"…The most unpleasant sound is the beating of war drums! Now I fear I must give the orders to have the drums of war beat and send our son and daughters to war! But if I must let the song of Amaraus be heard as we claim victory for the empire!" In the video, the crowds cheered and applauded at his words. Idris then said to Arphaxad, "Who would even conclude that the Atmorans didn't wish for this war to happen?" He knew that no one would reach that conclusion. If they did not wish for war, they wouldn't have shed the first blood.

"What do you know about Godsil's tactics Admiral?," asked the Watchman. Arphaxad explained, "She has learned from Atmora's defeats in the Vector Cluster, so we can't expect everything that I have told you to work. Godsil relies on numbers and attrition in her battles. When confronting her, expect a lot of our vessels to be systematically targeted. I have recommended that our forces use shock tactics and ambushes to do them justice."

"Very well," Idris replied. "Also, according to this star map the 168th Atmoran Fleet is at around 67 light years from Iubar. An early opportunity for a victory."

"A warning, Watchman. They have an extensive knowledge of Stormwrathian tactics as of now."

Idris smirked, "That is why we are here."

Since the SXS Watchmaiden and the rest of the Palmaria–class were replaced years ago, Arphaxad had been reassigned to the SXS Casane, a superdreadnought. Nearly no organic sapients were assigned to these ships, as it is mostly filled with AIs and Uploads along with drones and an assortment of robots maintaining the ship. The only place where organics were stationed is the bridge. Arphaxad was among these organic sapients. U-Dot has returned to his side once more. She greeted with a cheery tone, "Salu-tations, Admiral! Welcome back!"

He rolled his eyes for a bit. "U-Dot, it's good to see you again. All the preparations that are required for this mission?"

"All done and ready, Admiral. You need only kick the ball off." A channel was opened by U-Dot to the other ships of the 157th Fleet. Arphaxad had ordered the rest of the fleet to stick to the designated battle plan laid out earlier by him and the Admiral Watchman. This particular fleet had been sent to confront Godsil's 168th Fleet. Should Arphaxad give way, the Stormwrathian 168th will confront them. So far they had some idea of the enemy fleet's size, that of a monster fleet. This is one of the primary characteristics of the Atmoran Imperial Armed Forces, that of strength in numbers. Perhaps the sands of the sea could pale in comparison with their number.

Arphaxad had no sign of intimidation from the Atmorans, for he knew from the beginning how they have fallen to a comparatively meager force. While the ships were cloaked to prevent any detection methods of the Atmorans from determining their location, the Admiral waited for the right time to decloak. He waited for the Atmoran vessels to advance as they were doing. Once the TMS Alyssa was close enough – close enough that the Atmoran markings can be read – Arphaxad shouted, "Now!"

The Stormwrathian vessels decloaked all at once, and within a fraction of a microsecond the warships fired at the surrounding Atmoran fleet. It is clear that the Stormwrathians are going to engrave a mark of vengeance on those who have marked Regret on Stephanides. The cries of vengeance from Stormwrath are now beginning to be answered in death and destruction. No longer are they going to be ignored.

Indeed conflict is simplistic.

"At 12:00 Western Tervalian Time the Stormwrathian Audience of Worlds has formally declared a state of war against the Empire of Atmora in response to a purported attack on Stephanides. This was in light of a systematic destruction of the planet via plasma bombardment, commonly known as glassing. We are now reporting to you live from Tidal City with Satoshi Akiyama…"

No Altarian Emperor ever likes the news of war at the doorstep, for they all hated war. And yet through the stroke of their allies across the border, the entirety of the galaxy is at risk, just like in the days of the Combine War. Emperor Isoroku cursed the gods for this. "Shall we once more suffer? Akai, are you not concerned for the preservation of our race and of our nation? Are we not your people?"

He had reason to. The humans that they have called the children of Soku have once more brought conflict to the cosmos, on a scale spanning millions of light years. Their dealings have gotten them into trouble with almost every race they come across, such as the Vasvadne and the Teludir of old, and much more recently the Combine and the Atmorans who Stormwrath once considered allies. How deceptive their perception can be. With emergency meetings being called by the Zero World Council and the Tanabiku Galactic Forum, no ignorance can be tolerated by the Emperor, for they have learned that in the days of the Combine War. Running away isn't an option anymore. Much to his reluctance, he decided to send Prime Minister Izumi Nodama to the ZWC meeting, while he himself is to go to the TGF meeting.

No time is to be left wasted. Any second that they waste will jeopardize the future of the galaxy as a whole. Their sense of responsibility for the destiny for all sapienthood of the galaxy – one that died out with the United Confederation of Altarian Nations – is seemingly restored and reinvigorated. They knew of the human words spoken by the ancients, which read, "What separates anthros from humans is their willpower. Anthros choose to flee, humans choose to fight." These words from the ancients were a wake-up call for them in the conflicts that have arisen in the past hundred years. Now they have the courage to give everything not only for the preservation of Chirutarisu, but for all of the Tanabiku Galaxy. Their influence may pale in comparison to the Altarian glory days of the Mid-Altarian Era, but they knew they have to do everything for the pursuit of peace, even if it means using war.

Akai is indeed wise when he chose the anthros to be the bearers of the Scepter of Destiny.

"A time of darkness as arrived, the shadow of war covers us. Our friends have been consumed by it. It is our responsibility to be the light in the darkness, it is our duty to help our allies. We must pacify the source of the shadow... The Stormwrathians. We will show them the power of the light, we will not fade, we will not fail. My friends, we are at war, and let our descendants sing about this for all eternity. "

"Are you sure that was wise, jumping into a war with the Stormwrathians, there are so many factors to consider..." said Jaariliik, Diistaak minister of defence.
"Jaariliik, do you take me for a fool, I have considered the factors, and I have made my decision. We must honor are alliance with the Atmorans, even if it means going to war. " interrupted Ulokuun Eylok.
"You are not a fool sir, and I understand" said Jaariliik as they w

"Attention, Ulokuun on deck!" ordered General Mancor
"At ease men" replied Ulokuun Eylok. " What do we know about the Stormwrathians ?"
"Sir, we know they are a powerful people, they will not go down easy." replied one soldier.
"We also know how some of there ships work, thanks to our spies on Zero." replied another.
"Like what?" asked Ulokuun Eylok.
"Sir, we know they have cloaking technology." replied the soldier.
"Do we have a way to counter their cloaking?"

After a long silent, General Mancor replied "We do sir, thanks to our spies, we have now fitted our ships with new scanners that should detect their ships when cloaked." Ulokuun Eylok let go a small smile, "Then we should attack, while we have the element of surprise."
"Sir, I will contact Reg Purilla and the 1st Gaaf Fleet and give them the go."
"Then do it, and I will contact Emporer Daral, and let him know the news."

50 years ago, my brother positioned my fleet here. He had the strangest feeling that a war with the Stormwrathians was nye. We have been here cloaked from sight and the Stormwrathian scanners waiting for a go a head, thought Purilla, Ulokuun Eylok's sister. She was the head of the 1st Gaaf Fleet, one of the largest Diistaak fleets, and one of the few that were fully cloaked. It consisted of nearly 100 Gaaf class Corvettes, built for speed, maneuverablity and the detection of cloaked ships. They also happened to be the most used troop transports in the Diistaak Navy.
"My Lady, we are getting a transmission from Central Command."
"What does it say?" asked Purilla.
"It's what we have been waiting for, for the last 50 years, the go a head."
"Finally, what do we know of the saboteurs?" asked Purilla.
"Everything is in position, on your word the planet's defences, jam all communications and scanners will be taken down."
"Good, keep cloaked and move on the planet."
"Yes, mil lady."

The 1st Gaaf Fleet began their unseen advance on the planet.

168th Stormwrathian Extraterrestrial Fleet
Near Vicina, Iubar System, Casane Sector, Stormwrathian territory
2 Boscov 2563 PA

"Mhmmm, that was some good coffee today."

Admiral Garrett Hale was already on the deck of the massive superdreadnought SXS Scarlet Magna. Hale is one heck of a caffeine addict – he can't start the day without a cup of coffee, and he can't go to sleep without it either. What can be also said is that he can slightly lose focus if he doesn't have coffee for the day. His assigned AI Construct, nicknamed Mabel, greeted him with the standard "Salutations Admiral! All of the preparations have been made and the anomaly from 50 years ago is still within the vicinity of Luce."

"Hmmmm." Hale just nodded as Mabel explained everything. The rest of the crew members were monitoring the nearby anomaly. Their greatest fear was that they are an allied fleet of the Atmorans, intercepting information coming from Luce and handing those vital plans and strategies to the government in Lythame. After all, there are a lot of anomalies detected by the Quantum Anomaly Detector, and the Stormwrathians did not like the sound of a monster army engaging the 168th while the 157th is going to be isolated. Stormwrath may not have fate on its side today, but as humans they can be known to change fate's course.

The anomalies began to advance on the moon, probably to take the vital bases there and suit up for a greater advance on Luce. Vicina, long considered a fortress by the Stormwrathians, mustn't fall or Luce will. Hale took action, and attempted to open up a channel. Unfortunately it wasn't to be as the comms were jammed. The scanners were also taken out all at once, except for the Quantum Anomaly Detectors. These unknowns are smart enough to actually get close into Stormwrathian territory. Mabel reported, "Admiral we have lost contact with Vicina Command and the Luce Convocature."

"Very well, activate our Metaverse Bypass servers to keep the lines open."

"Yes Admiral." Mabel, along with the other AI Constructs manning the Stormwrathian ships, opened up the Metaverse Bypass comms system to maintain communication between them, Luce and Vicina. Hale ordered, "Identify the signatures of the unknowns now." Mabel did so, and it revealed to be ships of some Atmoran Commonwealth member-state. Was it Fa-al Lot Him-dah? Faa-l Lot Hi-m-dah? Stormwrathians aren't well versed with Elvish names. Opening up a channel to the capital ships, Hale then said, "It's go time. The Cardinal–class corvettes are to be released now, I repeat, the Cardinal–class are to be released now. We have a large corvette force coming our way."

The Cardinal–class corvettes are clearly larger ships, at around 3,600 meters in length. Escorted by them are cruisers and heavy frigates, both of them armed to the teeth. The larger ships stayed near Vicina while the Stormwrathian force of 115 ships went off to engage the Distaak fleet of 100 corvettes. Hale then ordered, "Fire up the Grid cannons, we may want to get them uncloaked."

"Yes Admiral." Mabel calculated every factor – distance, position, size – to determine where is the most optimum place to strike many of them in one blow. Once the calculations were made, the Scarlet Magna slowly moved down on its Z-axis and fired at an angle at the enemy ships. 26 ships happened to be in the Grid cannon's path as the light flashed from the superdreadnought and ripped through eight ships and partially damaged fourteen. The other four only suffered what would they call a "scratch" (since Stormwrathians aren't too keen with fancy words).

Hale immediately gave the word. "Okay, they are lit up, I repeat they are lit up. Engage the enemy fleet now. Surge!"

The 115 split into two and activated their Infinite Improbability Drives all at once to flank the enemy on its right and its left. Reappearing on their designated zones, a flurry of guns, rockets, cannons, lasers and tactical beams fired on the fleet. While the ships were doing that, Ventus fighters and Aegis squadrons departed from the hangars to harass the larger ships and pick off enemy spacecraft. Now this is the heat of battle!

AF-59 Fighter Pilot; Commander Hood was flying over the Stormwrathians while he and his squadron was shot down. Hood looked around him seeing as the Stormwrathians made attempts to keep the Atmorans deployed on Stephanides and die from 'Regret'.

"TMS Sierra the Stormwrathians they're...."

The radio goes silent as Hood is killed by a Stormwrathian.

Icelynn looks at Grand Admiral Brooks after the radio goes silent. Icelynn speaks to Brooks.

"Sir we need to stop regret. Their preventing our troops from leaving Stephanides."

"Icelynn the Mymridons are commiting sucide what I'm supposed to do? Icelynn we need to accept the fact that in war they'll be causalities!"

Icelynn remained silent. Grand Admiral Brooks rubs his chin.

"Icelynn send our RW-167 Prometheans to reduce our causalities on Stephanides."

"Yes sir"

To: Atmoran Invasion Force

All ships the Grand Admiral is ordering all Prometheans to be deployed to destory the Myrmidons Defenses against the Atmorans and free our troops from Stephanides before Regret is glassed!

Grand Admiral Godsil opens up a secure comm channel between the Diistaaks.

The 168th scanns their surrounding area. Somehow the Atmorans only picked up "space rocks" and other terresterial objects.

Somehow the Atmorans suspect something might happen and their sheilds go on incase a Stormwrathian fleet surpises them. The Atmoran servicemen go to their battle stations.

Defense Minister Ruby looks at the Diplomacy District of QC. General Hood of the Provincial Security Agency walks in.

"Ma'am the Stormwrathian Embassy still stands with those things still in them and I ask why they still have their heads?"

"You're correct General and thats the main reason I called you here. We of course need to remove the Stormwrathians from the embassy as they're a potenial threat at the moment."

"So you want me and squad of Elite Provincial Guards to remove them?"

"Exactly General and I want you to deal with it anyway possible."

Mrs. Ruby smiles of the thought of the Stormwrathian embassy burning.

"Now general go and deal with those things!"

"Glady the honourable Nicole Ruby."

Meanwhile at 7256 Tessia Avenue

A squad of Elite Provincial Guards are heading to 7256 Tessia Avenue, Diplomacy District or the Stormwrathian Embassy. General Hood informs his Guardsmen about the mission.

"Ok boys our goal is simple. To arrest the Stormwrathians in the embassy at any cost. And men don't worry about being rough the Ministry of Defense will get rid of the unnecessary roughness charges."

The Arco Armoured Troop Transport or AATT parks at the embassy and a squad of Elite Guardsmen get out and storm the embassy.

The Aegis squadrons shot down even more Atmorans from the sky as they were going to let them share in the fiery destruction that this planet will have. No Atmoran is to be spared. One of them shot down an AF and its pilot was killed as he contacted his comrades. The Myrmidon remarked, "Regret, huh?" Since the glassing is to be that particular glyph, the Myrmidons are going to make sure the Atmorans regret reducing Stephanides to ashes, especially with their men on the surface.

To pry the Atmorans out, the Invasion Force sent down a wave of Promethean aerospace craft to soften up the Myrmidons on both the ground and in the sky. However, the Aegis squadrons redirected themselves to the flying gunships and also shot many of them down. It may look like they are serious about this. After all, if the Atmorans can delay the inevitable because of their own men, they can hold the enemy ransom on this planet for as many years. Heavy plasma raining on Stephanides? That was in the fate of the Myrmidons.

"Never let any one of them escape!," cried out a commander. "They are afraid of losing their men to us while we throw everything in the pursuit of victory! Ave Stormvrathia!"

"Warsong Detachment, what's your status?"

"Requiem this is Warsong 0-1, just descending into Atmoran airspace. About to arrive at point Aegis, over."

"Copy that, Warsong 0-1. Awaiting initiation of the rescue mission. Be careful out there, any Stormwrathian craft that is detected will be shot down."

"Roger that, will notify you of any developments."

The Warsong Detachment is one of Stormwrath's highly specialized Special Operations Detachments under the Krypteia, the Spec Ops Command of the Stormwrath Armed Forces. Today they have been assigned a very dangerous mission: to retrieve the embassy staff at the Stormwrathian Embassy in Atmora before the civil guard gets to them and pulls off a massacre. Descending on the roof of the embassy undetected, Some Warsong Myrmidons began to position themselves inside the embassy. The rest went for where the staff were located and slowly got them onto the roof.

"Requiem this is Warsong 1-7, we have just retrieved the ambassador, over. Proceeding to find the other staff."

"Warsong this is Requiem actual. We are detecting Atmoran Elite Guards closing in on the embassy. Hurry with the rescue." Outside of the Embassy, the Atmorans arrive in armored vehicles in preparation for storming the building. It looks like they really want the embassy staff's heads on the platter; if Warsong doesn't hurry, they'll be added to the people having their heads on a platter, in front of Daral if it may be possible. Once the last of the staff is being escorted, Warsong began to prepare for the Elite Guardsmen's arrival.

Near a certain stairwell, an Elite Guardsman went round a corner, and a Myrmidon was there waiting for him. Taking his plasma knife out, he silenced the Atmoran stealthily, disposing of its body in a closet. A gunshot elsewhere was heard. Immediately he radioed through his internal communicator, "Requiem, shots have been fired in the embassy, some of our comrades have engaged the enemy."

"Warsong, get those staff up there safely. Prosecute the targets if needed."
Gunfights on a whole are nasty for both sides. Some Myrmidons were injured but they managed to make it to the roof. As the vehicle began to leave the embassy building, gunshots from the ground went up in an attempt to shoot it down. However, the Stormwrathian vehicle also had a gun and disabled some of the vehicles. Since they can't stay and fend them all off they left the planet and transported them back to Stormwrath. Guess it was considered a success.

The Audience of Worlds was outraged. They were outraged because the Atmorans are willing to stoop this low. On the news, the headlines read in big bold letters Atmora Closes Embassy With Fire, referring to the burning of the Stormwrathian Embassy by the Atmoran civil guard. Fortunately Warsong had rescued the embassy staff before they are going to be disposed of. The message was clear to the Audience: no negotiations can be made with the Atmoran aggressors, no diplomacy can be used. As such, war has become the only option. The cosmos have been indulged in madness written on its history with the blood of those slain.

The Zero World Council meeting is fast approaching, and High Overseer Tobias de Lunda was preparing himself for a speech to them concerning the recent actions of Atmora. The rest of the galaxy should know about this and galvanize support from its allies. As such, he has prepared everything just in case the Altarians show very strong opposition. However, he is still furious at the Atmorans' recent arson fest.

"Burn down our embassy? Are they mad?," He questioned to himself.

"Looks like they are indeed serious about this," replied the Deputy High Overseer, Alastair Bridges. "Although burning down the embassy may signify something, that they are never going to recognize our next moves and will see them all as acts of war."

Tobias bit his lips and said, "Well then, close down the Atmoran embassy in response."

"Why don't you just order its demolition?"

"Because we are better than that."

Icelynn looks at the amount of Prometheans shot down. Icelynn looks over the positions of the Myrmidons and Aegis. Icelynn thinks of a plan of attack against the Myrmidons. Brooks is rubbing his chin "God damn it we need those Myrmidons dead but the effective way is to have orbital strikes on them and my men are to close!"

"Sir we can deploy bombers."

"Icelynn the bombers will be shot down. The only option is to speed up the bombardment."

"But the men! What about them?"

"If they can get to the evac ships or somehow escape then they will live or die."

Icelynn knew Brooks wouldn't budge. She wrote another message to the Invasion Force.

To: Atmoran Invasion Force

All ships are now required to glass Stephanides. The glassing process is now going to be sped up.
Any Atmorans on Stephanides please find the nearest evac ship and all AF pilots shoot down and kill as many Stormwrathians as possible before the bombardment. Troops surrounded by Myrmidons please reach the safe zone quickly before
an Alexandria fires her MAC cannon.

Atmoran spacecraft after spacecraft was shot down in droves. It was surely a sight, of the remaining Myrmidons on the ground taking out whatever Atmoran soldiers may still be on the surface while the Aegis squadrons filled the skies with the thunder of explosions and smoke. If there is a hell in the galaxy, this would be a particular case of it. Once it was time to glass the planet, one of the Myrmidons called out, "Aim there!"

He was referring to the uplink on the enemy ship where the Plasma Bombardment Lances are being readied. The planet's automatic Grid cannons pointed upwards and fired at them. They knew that this is the easiest way to destroy a ship in the process of releasing fiery drops of plasma that can easily wipe out large swaths of land. Can they be sure though?

The cannons fired, and the light from them went straight upwards. Its blue glow matched that of the uplinks' plasma inside. Once it hit the plasma uplink, the ship above has begun to damage itself due to the plasma being jammed, forcing it to explode. Some ships of the Atmoran Invasion Force were destroyed in this way, others were heavily damaged. Shall this be repeated again and again in the rest of the cosmos as to prove who is right or wrong in this war? The sad truth to it is that there is no right or wrong in war as long as you remember to never be defeated.

As such, the Stormwrathian Myrmidons fought with all they had, even if they are to die here. Such devotion is treasured by all. How is treasure like that an object that one regrets having? As more and more Atmoran shuttles were disabled, it was about time that these defenders die with their enemies in the hope that the rest of the galaxy will live. Converging on the Atmoran safe zones like flies to a light, the Stormwrathians pursued the Atmorans as they were heading for safety. Little did they know that the whirring of magnets may be the end of them.

As the Atmorans retreated, the Myrmidons continued to pursue them, seemingly unintimidated by the destruction from the sky coming towards them. Explosions from above killed many upon impact, but still they kept on pushing.

The battle rages, and Purilla just sits on her bridge smiling, far enough away from the battle to remain unseen.
"My Lady, why are you smiling, we are losing valuable men?" asked the commander.
"I am smiling because the Stormwrathians are engaging and acting exactly how my brother thought they would. I guess I owe him a drink." replied Purilla.
"But my lady, the men..."
"Those ships never had men aboard, it was part of the plan, those ships are carrying something more useful then men." interrupted Purilla.
"What do you mean?"
"The plan was to have those ships advance, to have them come under fire, because the likeliness of the Stormwarthians destroying those ships is very high. Our ships are going to continue their advance, 10% to the moon, the other 90% to the planet." explained Purilla.
"I don't understand."
"Each of those ships carries the Vokun Gramaan, the Shadow Swarm." said Purilla.
"What, but that's impossible, wasn't destroyed 60 years ago."
"Not destroyed, upgraded." said Purilla.

The Vokun Gramaan was an Nano tech drone, it was designed to use any near by metal to restore itself, to implant viruses to both life forms and technology. Once active it can only be shut down from the controller, which happens to always with Purilla.

"So as they destroy the ships, the Vokun Gramaan is released."
"Yes, but at the moment it is inactive, I just need to activate it, in the mean time, call for the invasion force to begin their arrival." said Purilla.
"Yes, mil lady."

So the battle raged with Diistaak ships taking heavy hits and getting destroyed, but releasing the Vokun Gramaan, unknown to the Stormwrathians.

In the orbit of Strun Mah we sit, waiting for the go ahead for phase two. It has been 5 years now, I am getting antsy, thought Commander Ivilis. We are 250 ships strong, consisting of Gaaf-class Stealth Corvettes, Kodaav-class Destroyers, Okriim-class Frigates, Lusoz-class Carriers, Vith-class Cruisers and Dovah-class Dreadnoughts. Each with thousands of Vomun Fighters, Vomun Bombers, Ankid Dropships, Jormaar Fighters and Jormaar Bombers.

"Sir, Purilla has commenced phase one, and is now requesting that our fleet get to the Iuber System asap."
"Thank you, Girfas. You heard the man lets move, the time we have been waiting for has begun. Lets not be late to the party." ordered Commander Ivilis.
"ETA to Iuber System, 60 minutes."
"Get all pilots to their fighters and bombers, activate the Vomun Fighters and Bomber, and sit back and enjoy the ride." ordered Commander Ivilis
"Yes sir"

Battle of the Iubar System, Casane Sector, Perseus Arm
Stormwrath Milky Way Colonies, Alpha Quadrant, Milky Way Galaxy
2 Boscov 2563 PA

The Stormwrathian ships continued to destroy the Diistaak ships with attrition, without knowing of the hell that they will be going through. With the rest of the 168th Fleet standing by, these 100 ships will be taken down by some nanobot with the capabilities of a technophage – what the Diistaaks call the Vokun Gramaan, which means the Shadow Swarm in Dovahzul. Once enough of the enemy ships were taken down in quick succession, the nanobots began to do their work.

The Stormwrathians were sitting ducks, with these deadly nanoweaponry disabling their ships in quick succession. Now they realized their peril. Hale quickly ordered, "To the remaining vessels, keep destroying the ships!" His grid cannon continued to fire at the decoys, releasing more of these nanobots.

Mabel questioned, "Wouldn't that release more of them?"

"Better that they be released in space rather than in Luce or Vicina." He knew such nanobots could lead to the destruction of anything and everything, from exotic life forms to the most advanced of technology. Rumors have been spread concerning that they can take down the entirety of the Metaverse as they know it. The great communications space of the cosmos could be taken down in a few microseconds, fast enough for killswitches or security systems to fail to respond. It would result in the crumbling of Tanabikan civilization. Many including Hale and the IAS didn't believe these rumors.

He didn't worry, since the ships are equipped with a certain feature taken from technophages, the deadly parasites of the galaxy. Science in the past few decades has discovered their quick regeneration capabilities, including the split second repair of their nervous systems and the speedy adaptive immunity of technophages to pathogens. The military took notice of this and decided to apply the concept to the SSC. For now, their tactic was to starve these nanobots by releasing them prematurely.

Several more blips on the scanners have been detected, with the visage of a fleet 250 ships strong. In comparison, the 168th had over 2,000 ships – 500 of which are stationed at Vicina at the moment. The Diistaaks had it all planned out: distract the Stormwrathians with a decoy fleet, while the rest of their ships take over the other planets and all of the artificial worlds within the system all at once. Fortunately, the AIs have evacuated the population to these artificial worlds which have already left the system. Mabel reported, "Shall the 168th engage them now?"

"Go ahead. Let's send 600 ships to the fight. What is their current ETA?"

"Less than 60 minutes from Iubar's influence." Often times the influence of the star's gravity and luminosity are what defines the border of the system.

"Very well, execute the plan."

Mabel knew what this meant. "Very well, sending the message to the other ships now." AI Constructs are very much capable of learning from other ships, including ones that have been destroyed. Thus, any signs of nanobots are watched more cautiously. Since the Diistaak ships are arriving en masse at the edges of Iubar's influence, the Stormwrathians activated their IIDs all at once and appeared in their enemy's midst. They all fired their array of ammunition at the Diistaaks while unmanned drones of aerospace craft – most notably the Ventus fighters and the Aegis squadrons – went out and engaged the manned fighters and bombers of the Diistaak fleet.

However, a technophage swarm happened to be close to the Iubar System during this battle. Such creatures can devour any kind of technology in its path. Hale decided to use this to their advantage, even though it would cost them. "Mabel, activate the technophage beacon."

"Yes Admiral." The beacon was activated, and the technophages were attracted to the site of the battle. Even if it's going to be a Pyrrhic victory, the Stormwrathians might as well have that over the preservation of their fleet while their planet is taken over by these blind associates of Atmora.

"They already agreed" Rivk knows that another war will be fatal for the economy and the people but he knew with the right tactics and technology they could win. Gen Nikolai opened up a simulation and told the AI how much percent could we win The AI didn't responded

"Insufficient DATA"The AI said

"Wormhole?"

The Admiral was indeed right to question. Since the end of the Combine War, the Tanabikans have acquired vital technologies such as Wormhole Inflators that can enlarge the "nooks and crannies" of the universe as Terran cosmologist Stephen Hawking described it to be. He would be genuinely surprised if he saw a working prototype of it in action.

Several warships have come out of the wormhole in question, with very familiar signatures. Mabel immediately recognized them as Ant Islander vessels. "Admiral, the Tanninakiway."

"Looks like they have come to help us," remarked Hale as he monitored the scanners.

Indeed they have come a long way from being a relatively defenseless nation compared to the bigger giants in the Tanabiku Galaxy. To make up for its tiny size, they built orbitals and space colonies to make their mark on the stars. This has made it to be a formidable regional power in the galaxy, if not a quadrantal power. They also happen to be respectable allies of Stormwrath, partly because if its small size and partly because of the Altarians. Mabel sent a few encrypted messages containing battle plans they can use against the Diistaak fleet. The plan was to lure the Distaaks into a trap in the cloud of comets that followed the heliopause of the system. Hopefully their AIs can get the message.

There have been rumors of Illumine's entry into the war, as well as Chirutarisu's. Some even say that the Stormwrathians may want to ferment revolution in Atmora or get the Atmoran Republic on their side. However, so far they have been dismissed. After all, they won't know of their involvement or of future diplomatic missions by the Empire until the ZWC and TGF Emergency Meetings arrive.

Meanwhile the technophages were drawing closer and closer. Since the Stormwrathian ships are now more than equipped to hold their own against them, they are safe for the most part. Although, they have yet to see how the Diistaaks will respond to these parasitic aliens. This could be both advantageous for the Stormwrathian vessels and learning lessons for Hale and the Space Command. The Aegis squadrons with their array of armaments and modules continued to inflict casualties on the fighters and bombers, as well as take out those still in the enemy ships' hangars. On the other hand, the ships continued to expend munitions, especially on the enemy vessels that could possibly have Vokun Gramaan inside of them. A show of entertainment is underway, for the technophages are going to complicate things for all sides, most especially the Diistaaks.

Ratoff arrived in the Lubar System he ordered his men to prepare for a battle. Suddenly they receive an encrypted Ratoff ordered him to De-encrypt it before engaging they also managed to detect ships and nanobots. A scientist who goes by the name Kristin called Ratoff to her Lab. Ratoff stood up his chair andgoes to his elevator he wondered what was the reason to disturb him during this time he also think why a scientist would disturb him he went to the Fleet's lab. Hesaw a hologram of a ship he didnt know what kind of ship it was

"You called me" ratoff said

"Sir I need to tell you something very important" Kristin said

"Make it quick"

"A new weapon has just been released and The Family odred the use of it here"

"Send me the description at my office"

Ratoff went out of the lab and ran to the elevator back to his command center

"Is the message De Encrypt yet"

"Yes sir Its from the Stormwrathians"his assistant said

"Send it to me"

He was about to open it when he was iterrupted by the Tanninakiway ansible opened he saw the battled between Stormwrathian and Distaaks he knew he has to help but he continue to read the message he ordered hid men to sent a reply to stormwrath

"So, they look to be preparing for our fleet's arrival." stated Purilla
"They look to be trying to use Vokun Gramaan against us, that's bad."
"That would have been a good idea, 60 years ago, when they were nothing but a mindless nano swarm, they have had an upgrade remember, for this reason."
"What do you mean?"
"I can control them with my mind, I have been physical link to them, they do what I want. Also they are destroying the ships right were we wanted them to." said Purilla.
"What, so that means..."
"Yes, we could use them to shield our ships more. But right now I am going to begin the decemation." said Purilla

With that Vokun Gramaan's second stage was activated, and started to swarm the beacon and rapidly began destroying it and growing. Next it turned its attention to the ship holding the beacon, and began making its way into the ship. Every time it got hit it would regenerate new stronger units. Purilla smiled, she had truly deserved the name of Reg do faal Gramaan, Lady of the Swarm.

"My Lady were picking up more ships, they are not Stormwrathian, nor one of our allies or known Atmoran allies."
"Assume they are enemy, tell Commander Ivilis this new information." ordered Purilla.
"Yes mil lady."
"Also send a message to the Stormwrathians, keep it quick, tell them to surrender, and that if they surrendered they would be spared and allowed to return to their families." ordered Purilla.
"If they decline."
"Tell them then we will not take any one alive."
"Yes mil lady."

The advancing Vokum Gramaan turned out to have a deadly technophage-esque ability, which may serve to be a lethal blow to the 168th Fleet's heavy defense based on the calculations of organic sapient beings going against the calculations of other sapient beings. Clearly they aren't going to be just defeated but humiliated for all of the cosmos to see.

Admiral Hale's star map has indeed come in handy for him to view the battle without having to be there. The locations of the Stormwrathian, Diistaak and Tanninakiway ships are displayed in full detail, along with the deployed armaments and damaged sections. He commented, "The Vokum Gramaan, the way I understand it, are just basically technophages with steroids." He had a poor choice of words there, as they aren't technophages at all but nanobots with deadly capabilities. Mabel was about to question him when a beep was heard on the display.

A message was received from the Tanninakiway, confirming that they are into the plan. Immediately messages from the Stormwrathian ships were sent to the friendlies to execute the plan laid out for them. They are to take down the main capital ships of the Diistaak fleet, including the ship of the enemy commander, Purilla Sakar, "Lady of the Swarm" as she was known due to her manipulation and control over organic or artificial species that operate in swarms. Without her the Diistaak Fleet can't pose a threat to the Iubar System.

Meanwhile on the Scarlet Magna, Hale received a different message, which came from their Diistaak foes. It was the standard "Surrender and live, resist or die" proposal, one that frankly Stormwrathians are getting tired of reading. Hale chuckled, "It isn't going to be easy to get us on our knees with words." Turning to Mabel he then said, "Allow for full AI control over the ships. I'll give the message to them."

"Gladly." Mabel and the other AI constructs now have full control over the ships of the 168th Fleet. The Stormwrathians are all taught to be quick and witty in their responses when faced with an enemy. They are not to show compromise or surrender with the enemy. It is one of their unique characteristics, one that may have gotten them labeled as witty, smart, arrogant or even prideful. The response, also quick and concise, will ring in the annals of history for time immemorial, and arouse the anger of the Haven Galaxy against those that dwell under Tanabiku's shade.

"I'll take the latter, since it will be more challenging for you."

Meanwhile the Stormwrathians retreated to the Oort Cloud of the Iubar System to give them a hard time in fulfilling their threats. Comets are being used for cover and for projectiles against the invading fleet. To deal if not repel the Diistaaks' advance to Luce they began to release their own pods, which upon explosion contain self-replicating nanomites that eat away at the enemy ships, replenishing themselves and stripping the enemy to the hull. These are specially made that they cannot be affected by any kind of supernatural, psionic or metaphysical energy. Hopefully the 157th can hold out long enough for the 168th to delay the Diistaaks' advance long enough for the 172nd and 174th Fleets to arrive and support them both. Their ETA is at around 30 minutes, which is odd considering that Stormwrathians use their IIDs to get to any location in the cosmos quickly without hyperspace.

The bicentennial Admiral seemed to be faring better than his counterpart back in the Iubar System. The line is to be drawn here, as Arphaxad maneuvered the 70 kilometer superdreadnought of his to ram the smaller Atmoran escort ships with ease. The Casane plowed through six armed warships in quick succession, some of them being torn in half because of this. Godsil should be feeling the brunt of the Stomrwrathian assault by now.

With the Atmorans proceeding to surround the Stormwrathian ships in order to bring them attrition, Arphaxad remarked, "Good. Now we can fire at them from all directions." Turning to U-Dot he ordered, "Capital ships, ram as many smaller ships as possible. Smaller ships, Rocket Angels and Aerospace craft, harass the remainder. Deploy nanomites to soften up the Atmoran capital ships." U-Dot continued to control the Casane, firing its port and starboard sides and ramming ships to their front. Clearly the Stormwrathians are going to break out of the Atmoran lines.

Since U-Dot gained experience from her sister ships facing the Diistaak, she deployed her own nanomite pods on the battlecruisers to soften them up. The other ships did the same with the adversaries they are engaging at the moment. U-Dot asked Arphaxad, "Admiral, if the 168th are to lose this battle, what will happen?"

He then replied, "Against the Diistaaks? If they make it to Luce they will find nothing of use." The population of the system had already left, and the orbitals in which they are in are moving in the direction of Scarlet IV and the Shield Worlds. The borders of Stormwrath are beginning to fluctuate once more with the movement of the orbitals, as it has always been doing for the past two millennia. Arphaxad continued, "And any loss we have will only arouse the Stormwrathians' anger even more."

"Just like the name of our nation?," U-Dot asked.

Arphaxad nodded in agreement when she said that. "Yes. In fact, that trait was our nation's namesake."

As the battle raged on, there are changing attitudes on Purilla's brigde.

"My Lady, I think the attack should be called of, there is no way to win."
Purilla looks at the battle map, and smiles.
"What did say about my demands?" asked Purilla
"They said they will not surrender, and now they are coming for us."
"Order Commander Ivilis to return home, we got what we came for." ordered Purilla
"Wait, are we retreating?"
"You are, I am going to hand my self over to the Stormwrathians."
"But they will kill you."
"They will not when they realize that keeping me alive will keep a much bigger threat at bay." said Purilla.
"Wait what."
"If I die then Vokum Gramaan will become uncontrollable and devour everything it runs into. Oh and my brother is very protective." said Purilla.
"As you wish, mil lady."

With that the Diistaak command ship flees, leaving behind a smaller ship.

"This is Purilla Azolla Sakar, twin sister of Neria Fayli Sakar, sister to Ulokuun Eylok to the led Stormwarthian ship, I wish to discuss my surrender."
After Purilla sent her transmission, she sits back and waits for a response.

"Commander we have gotting orders to return home."
"From who?" asked Commander Ivilis.
"Purilla sir, she is surrendering herself"
"What is she up to, shes crazy, but we have to follow her orders, return to Strun Mah and alert Ulokuun Eylok to this news." ordered Commander Ivilis
"Yes sir"

As they turned back around, Commander Ivilis' only thought was, what is she thinking, not even the best Diistaak minds can follow what she does. He also had the thought that he was going to be in so much trouble. Followed by thinking what he was going to have for dinner.

The Alyssa targeted the 157th Fleet and charged her weapons to full strength. The plasma and MAC canons fired along with her missles.

Atmoran pilots quickly got geared up and got in their Aerospace crafts to face off the SAF and SSC.

Grand Admiral Godsil sat on her chair in the bridge as the Alyssa's defense went on. She went to the ships comm.

"All men and women of the TMS Alyssa I want you to the give the Stormwrathians everything we got I want every last Stormwrathian in the 157th to call this battle their resting place! Ryunosuke Satoro once said Individually we are one drop but together, we are an ocean."

The command centre was unnaturally quiet for a time of war. Jaariliik was going over the enemy ships with General Mancor, everyone was waiting for news of the battle, and for Ulokuun Eylok to return. Ulokuun Eylok returned to this quiet command centre as a transmission from Commander Ivilis was coming through.

"Put that transmission through." ordered Ulokuun Eylok.
"Yes sir"
"This is Commander Ivilis to Diistaak Commad Centre with news from the Battle of Vicina, all Diistaak ships have returned to Strun Mah. Purilla has surrendered herself to the Stomwrathians."

"SHE WHAT!" shouted Ulokuun Eylok. "What is she thinking, I know she's crazy and all that, but this is something unexpected."
"What should we do, sir?"
"Send some ships to Strun Mah, since that's the most likely route for a counter attack. Also send some ships to the outskirts of the Field of the Gutlein Naakin, incase they are crazy enough to try to brave the Planet Eaters, and finally I will take the Lokolteiren Flaar to met with Emporer Daral to organize another assault on a Stormwrathian territory." said Ulokuun Eylok.
"Sir"
With that, he stormed out of the command centre. Everyone just stared, it was very rare that Ulokuun Eylok would lose his temper.
"Well... he's angry." said General Mancor
"Gods protect Emporer Daral, he's not going to cool down for awhile, you should let his crew know he's angry." said Jaariliik.
"Will do my friend." said General Mancor.

It feels like it's been days since I surrendered myself, but in fact it's been 10 minutes, wow, I am getting impatient, thought Purilla while she was waiting for the Stormwrathians. So she turned on her favourite type of music, Classical Terran, from her favourite artist, Beeftoven or was it Beethoven, she could not remember. Maybe I should deactivate the Vokun Gramaan, yeah you know what I should, she thought. So the Vokun Gramaan exited the Scarlet Magna and deactivated in the vacuum of space.

Finally, someone answered, thought Purilla while she smiled. They might not be Stormwrathians, but hey, their Stormwrathian allies. But you know what, I can't be picky she thought.

"This is Purilla, I am surrendering because I have information that you might find valuable. I am also willing to possibly assist in any way possible." answered Purilla.

With that, she set into motion her personal plan. Her plan to achieve greatness and get revenge against certain people.

Eden, Haven Galaxy, Atmoran Territory
58th day of Vah, in the 251st year of Eylok

We have been waiting, in the shadows. By the will of the gods, we will destroy those who disagree with us. We are more powerful than ever, our strength has been increasing ever since the "great" Ulokuun Eylok joined the "mighty" Atmoran Commonwealth. Man, do we hate does elves, I guess that's why we have been planning this attack. Ah, Eden, derived from an old Terrian story. According to the story, Eden was a paradise, and I can see the name is well deserved, thought Genisi, a very devout member of the Cult, as he and his fellow Cultist were arriving at the government centre on Eden.

"We all know the plan." said Genisi.
"Yes, infiltrate the facility, set the bomb, kill as many elves as possible, get out, and detonate the bomb."
"Remember the cover story, we're here to help install a new security system." said Genisi.
"Uhmmm, were is the bomb, and our weapons."
"Thanks to our inside help, the bomb and weapons are hidden in the facility. We pick them up when we get there."
"Ok"
"One last thing, may the gods be with us. I will see you all in the afterlife, or if we survive." said Genisi.

With that there vehicle pulled into the government centre.

SXS Scarlet Magna, 168th Stormwrathian Fleet
Near Vicina, Iubar System, Casane Sector, Stormwrath Milky Way Colonies

"Surrender?," asked Hale in amazement. "Purilla wishes to surrender?" That was easy, maybe a little too easy concerning that she is a considerable adversary. The crew members were surprised as well at this turn of events. With the Diistaaks retreating, the Stormwrathians did not pursue to show that they are only defending their territories. Meanwhile, the argument on how to respond has taken ten minutes now. Many of them are still suspicious of this woman's motives. Some of them thought that this could be a surprise attack on the Scarlet Magna, and the battle is not yet over.

After much heated debate, Hale then decided that he will accept her surrender. With the channel with her open for ten minutes, he then responded, "Purilla Azolla Sakar, this is Admiral Garrett Hale of the 168th Stomrwrath Extraterrestrial Fleet. Your surrender has been noted. Shall your ship dock on the Scarlet Magna to discuss your terms?"

Mabel interrupted with a whisper, "What are you thinking, Hale? Didn't you see the projection of the nanobots eating away at our ships?" Being an AI Construct she knew that the Diistaak Admiral may have… something up her sleeve. How can they trust her?

Hale thought for a moment. He had the same suspicions as Mabel had about Purilla. He then instructed Mabel, "Put the guard drones on alert, and tell them to conceal their weapons." Hale then waited for the Diistaak ship to arrive at one of the ship's docks. This could be a great opportunity to get some information out of her, such as the next series of assaults on Stormwrathian territory, or maybe even what Eylok and Daral are up to next.

Mabel calculated the Diistaaks' location and their course, and told Hale, "The Diistaaks are retreating to Strun Mah to regroup. We can strike them easily and deal a blow on them."

Hale thought for a moment. "A tempting distraction, despite the chances of another victory. We remain here, and alert all nearby fleets to be on guard for another possible invasion of our territories."

"Yes Admiral." Hale then opened up a channel to the Ant Island ship and said, "Thank you so much for aiding us at this time. I'll send a request to the Convocation of Luce for a future meeting with Ant Island in three days." The Tanninakiway could be a useful ally in the defense of Tanabikan possessions. However, what are the chances of Purilla defecting to the Stormwrathians?

"Wait a minute," Mabel reported. "The Ant Island ship has her, Ratoff says that she could be defecting."

Hale thought again. "Okay then, I'll be sending a message to the Ant Island ship."

Ratoff, be cautious on her motives, she could be a double agent. If she really is defecting, move her to the Scarlet Magna.

157th Stormwrathian Fleet, 68 light years outside of the Iubar System

With the MAC Cannon projectile heading towards the Casane, Arphaxad immediately tapped a button on the display, and nanomite pods were sent to intercept it. It exploded on the projectile and the nanomites were released, eating away the projectile and preventing it from hitting any Stormwrathian ships. The nanomites continued to move and ate the rest of the MAC projectiles. U-Dot remarked, "Why didn't Hale think of this before?" It is because of the hive mind system that Stormwrathian ships had that U-Dot knew what Mabel was up to.

"At least the Diistaak Admiral surrendered," Arphaxad replied. "Hale got lucky." He had reason to believe that, as the 168th was partially unprepared for an attack this close to the Iubar System. He would be also lucky that the Tanninakiway appeared in the nick of time.

The Rocket Angels turned their attention to the Atmoran aerospace craft and began to shoot down as many of them as possible. The ships continued to maneuver themselves out of harm's way while they fired back at the Atmoran vessels. The capital ships continued to ram as many small ships as possible while expending their ammunition on key areas of larger ships such as the stern – where the engines are located – and the bridge. Arphaxad then said to U-Dot, "Prepare the Gridfire Uplink discreetly."

"But Admiral!," exclaimed U-Dot.

"It's for taking out those oversized battleships of theirs," explained Arphaxad. "And deploy the smaller ships docking on the Casane."

"Yes admiral." He was glad that no system was activated for the AI Constructs' full control over the 157th Fleet. The channel to the other ships of the fleet is still up, and Arphaxad ordered, "Fight on brothers! Make them fear you! Draw the line between you and them! Claim victory!"

The superdreadnought released its own group of superfrigates, cruisers, frigates, corvettes and cutters to counter the heavy frigates released by the Alyssa. Superdreadnoughts were often the largest carriers of a fleet, since the Space Command has reservations about deploying their 150 kilometer battlecarriers and 210 kilometer supercarriers. Aside from that, the advantage of less men and more machines has allowed Stormwrathian warships to house a larger number of smaller ships and aerospace craft.

It was then that some of the Rocket Angels began to board some of the Atmoran ships. The Grid cannons and the nanomites have opened up the enemy's energy shields long enough to allow the Aegis squadrons entry onto the surface of the vessels. one such particular group landed on the surface of the Alyssa, ready to kick the door down. They landed close to the turrets of the ship, feeling the vibrations from them. Like with other Myrmidons, Rocket Angels have internal communications in their armor so no one else can hear them. "Tempest 3-2," said one of them to his companion, "Are you ready for this?"

"Am I ever," he replied. "Let's drop the goods." Immediately they fired the plasma at the turrets and disabled them. It may have to take a while for them to take out all of the Alyssa's turrets, but they'll have to break in after destroying three or four of them. Should there be Atmorans on top of the ship, they're going to have a really bad day.

For this mission they needed Arphaxad's help, so one of them radioed to the Admiral saying, "Admiral this is Tempest 3-1, we are on the dorsal surface of the Alyssa. I repeat, we are on the dorsal surface of the TMS Alyssa. Commencing boarding mission, don't hit us on top."

"Understood Tempest 3-1. We'll continue to punch holes on the ship except for your current location."

"Copy that, we'll be requesting reinforcements from other Aegis squadrons when needed." A hole was being blown on the ship allowing for them to enter. Turning to his companion he radioed, "Tempest 3-3, take half of us to the engine chambers to disable them. 3-2, 3-7 and 3-8, you're coming with me."

"Roger, Tempest 3-1. Good hunting to you. As their companions entered the hole and left for the engine rooms, the remaining four headed towards the bridge of the ship to take out the crew. For both groups, it is going to be a long and hard fight in store for them.

Zero World Council Headquarters Complex, Zero Beta Artificial Planet
Tamarus System, Azakayana Sector, Daiichi Quadrant, Tanabiku Galaxy
5 Boscov 2565 PA

Tobias needed support from the rest of the ZWC member-states, but to convince them to fight against the Atmoran Commonwealth is no easy feat, as Stormwrathian territories are the only ones at threat here, for now. It wouldn't make sense for the rest of Zero to side against Atmora who hasn't even threatened the Tanabiku Galaxy yet. Still, this emergency meeting is what they were all called here for.

The calls for a United Zeronian Force – much more for a United Tanabikan Force to match the likes of Atmora and her allies – have been growing, though fewer still than those who oppose the idea. The High Overseer knows that Zeronian nations, including the Intergalactic Empire, are very nationalistic, despite the Zero World Council being an overarching international authority. However, since the destruction of Stephanides may have been played out over and over again in mass media and the Metaverse by now, he may have a chance to convince the delegates in the speech he will give today. If he has to convince, he has to keep it brief and concise.

"…Please welcome the Stormwrathian High Overseer, Muniscus Tobias de Lunda."

His audience applauded upon his entry, and he made his way up to the podium to speak. Among the delegates was Stephanides Overseer Eric Sebaste, who went to the Tamarus System as fast as he could to inform and assist the Munisci of the Capital Convocature. Tobias had a data pad in his hand which contained the transcript of his speech. Clearing his throat for a moment, he took a breath to contemplate on what he will be saying to them. There was no turning back now.

"Salutations, ladies and gentlemen, delegates and representatives of the Zero World Council. It is with great pleasure and a heavy heart that I speak to all of you today. You may have all heard the news from . The news of our brothers and our sisters perishing in the destruction of Stephanides. The people of Stormwrath are grateful for your deepest sympathies and sincerest condolences."

He paused himself for a moment to breathe once more. The pressure, he could not take it. All of a sudden, Tobias felt that he needed to speak up for the people of Stephanides who died in this tragedy. He then continued, "These people were slaughtered without reason. What have they done to deserve this? What have they done to be turned into mere memories that will be erased by time, while the plasma scorches the earth to ashes? I can assume, even say with confidence now, that this tragedy has united us in a common goal against a common enemy! Let us remember that Stephanides is not the end of our struggles but the beginning.

"We all treasure the fact that as brothers and sisters, as friends and neighbors, we all share freedom and liberty. Often times when I take a stroll, and I see people going about on their daily business – commuters going to work, children playing in the park, families going out on picnics, lovers going out on dates – I often imagine what would happen if they weren't allowed to do any of these things. It seems like a pessimistic view of our future, right? Truly I say, that if we fail to unite in one cause to protect and defend the freedoms and liberties our peoples enjoy today, that will be our future.

"The Empire of Atmora and her allies have given us a challenge. It is the challenge of applying our values, our principles and our unique traits in all of our actions. It is the challenge of whether we will put freedom and liberty as our sword and our shield or not. It is the challenge of whether we will lay our guns down or stand until the end. It is the challenge of whether the forces of oppression and tyranny will triumph over those of liberty and opportunity.

"Therefore, I ask you delegates and representatives of the Zero World Council, will you stand to protect? Will you stand to defend? Will you stand to be the guardian of your fellow sapients' freedoms and liberties? If not, then you may abstain, for you are all free to do so. If you accept the challenge, then let us overcome it together. Let us all have one beat, one march, one cause, and one reason to fight for the future of our peoples. Let us persevere for victory and preserve our freedom, so that countless generations that will come after us will live in peace and harmony, knowing that they are free sapients of the universe. Liberty is what our natures are tied to, let no one shut it from you or your comrades. Thank you."

The delegates applauded at this speech as Tobias left the podium and made his way to his seat. Sebaste approached him and said, "Thank you very much for speaking in behalf of the Stephaniders."

"The pleasure is mine," the High Overseer replied. "However I cannot guarantee that the other Zeronian powers will support us against Atmora and her allies."

"That is all right with me, as long as our soldiers keep fighting on to prevent more tragedies from happening in this war."

A voice can be heard in the chambers, saying to the delegates, "The floor is now open for discussion on our course of action concerning the conflict between the Atmoran Commonwealth and some of our Zero World Council member-states, particularly between the Empire of Atmora and Stormwrath." Who wouldn't get jumpy because of the fact that two superpowers in this side of the cosmos are jousting for victory? Who knows which peoples, nations and civilizations may be tossed around the two as cannon fodder? We can guess that time will tell.
