Geography

The geography of Chernobyl-Pripyat varies greatly depending on the region. While most of the nation consists of extensive hilly plains, there are extensive forests and several mountainous regions.

Several large rivers run through the center of the nation, connecting to an inland sea which later connects to the Atlantic Ocean.

The Yantar region is the lowest point, and occasionally floods. The area is consistent to swamps, however some years the lake shrinks. It's also near a peak, which is a large source of natural gas.

The country has cool summers, near arctic winters and rarely has a week were there isn't some form of precipitation. The sun rarely is seen in some regions for an unknown reason.

Transportation

While many people own motor vehicles, the poor state of roads have made mass transit the popular choice of moving from city-to-city. Currently the best developed railway is centered in the industrial city of Raccoon, and runs through Naszran, Veblensk and the suburbs in between, and in the opposite direction makes many stops in neighboring Urstania. A second rail system, almost exclusively used by foreign diplomats is the Lipovic-Triste-Veblensk line. Currently further systems are planned, as the budget allows.

Government

The Chernobylskayan Republic is a multiparty democracy, however the Independent Party retains the most seats, and most of the elected presidents were of this party.

Economy

80% of the workforce is employed by state owned industries, 15% is employed by private industry and less then 5% of employers are employed by foreign companies. Most of the economy is based around Weapons and Medical Technology exports, along with natural gas and textile production.
